The best restaurants serving Asian food in London

Was taken here for an afternoon tea experience for my 60th birthday, it was amazing. The service was great and the food was out of this world. Have recommended this to so many of my friends, I couldn’t rate it highly enough

Great delivery guy - friendly and engaging

Great little place! Only thing is the bbq gets cooked and brought to you which is not the usual norm but he food was great. Karaoke seems to be a speciality too

After a disappointing first visit to Sai a year ago, we gave it a second go as it is a popular local restaurant. Sadly, it failed to deliver again. The food is the main disappointment. Surprisingly, there are no side dishes on the menu which most top-end and local Indian restaurants do serve. We decided to go for a starter, a meat main, a vegetable main, a salade and a naan. All together. The paneer starter was a feast of sugar and sodium glutamate which would put most cheap Chinese takeaways to shame. It was poor. Very poor. The chicken in Rajasthani sauce was bone dry. The sauce was flavoursome but the chicken like plasterboard; it sucked all moisture from one’s mouth. The saag paneer looked like it had been reheated several times and had a disturbingly fatty/buttery taste; odd taste and not recommended. The cucumber salade constituted of a few slices of cucumber with some spices sprinkled on top. Rather uninspiring and not worth ordering. The naan bread had a lovely meat filling but sadly, it was barely noticeable. The papadums on the house were good but sadly, somewhat forgotten after a £70+ per person bill. The atmosphere and decor is pleasant. There is a good 'vibe' created by the open doors, good lighting and local guests. To finish, the service was hesitant and seemingly inexperienced. The owner/manager swanned around smiling at a few tables but disappeared at 8pm to leave his staff to thumble along. Second visit to Sai and last visit to Sai.

Order not ready until 1945hrs (25 min. wait). The restaurant was busy due to Valantines night bookings but this defeats the purpose of ordering beforehand and collecting at a designated time.

Tengo una orden de auto-recogida. El Pad Thai era tan grasoso salpicado en una salsa dulce marrón con trozos secos de pollo. También pedí setas Tom Kha y me dieron langostinos. Estaba muy decepcionado. Ojalá hubiera ido al otro a la vuelta de la esquina. 😞

I could tell this place was the real deal as soon as I walked in—most of the customers were Korean, which is always a good sign. The side dishes were absolutely delicious. We ordered the tteokbokki, samgyetang, and the pork and squid BBQ. The portions were generous, but we managed to finish everything because it was just that good. We also didn’t have to wait long for the food to be served, which was a nice bonus. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the New Malden area. I’ll definitely try the other dishes when I come back.

First time trying here and didn't disappoint. It was very busy so the guy serving was doing everything so nothing to complain about. I tried the vietnamese beef pho, very nice and was very generous on the extra coriander and chilli 😁

Posiblemente se trate de los platos malasios más baratos y auténticos que se sirven en el área de Londres. Puede que no sea tan sabroso como algunos de los restaurantes de estrellas Micheline que sirven la comida malasia, pero sus platos están llenos de fragancia de especias malasias: hierba de limón y galanghal. Recomiendo a la gente que lo pruebe. Es un café, no un restaurante, así que pide en el mostrador y paga. También me gusta la actitud de "no hacer ningún alboroto" de los clientes. La gente parece venir y disfrutar de la comida y no se preocupan por si los servicios son buenos o no. Los clientes también disfrutan del ambiente relajante y fácil de llevar. Prueba el nasi lemak, el pescado de caballa con okra curry y el tarik. Me gusta que el tarik no sea demasiado dulce y sin embargo solo un poco de dulzura.

Quick and clean lovely service... pizza 🍕 is just amazing ! Also chicken meals I got we're delicious. I did try Lamb also so for this 💯 and .... I visited this restaurant after seeing it featured on The Apprentice. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the hype. Upon arrival, we were made to feel like an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests. We had to ask whether we could sit down, and instead of a warm response, we were curtly pointed toward a table. The table we were directed to was not exactly clean, next to another uncleared table—despite the restaurant being almost empty. Anisah, the Apprentice candidate, appeared overwhelmed with delivery orders and collections. Meanwhile, a man who seemed to be her father spoke loudly to other diners about having thrown out five customers the day before for swearing—a story that did little to enhance the atmosphere. After waiting 35 minutes and repeatedly asking about our order, we were told how busy and successful the restaurant had been. At one point, we were even taken into the kitchen to be shown how many chefs had been hired to meet demand. I under this was meant to be friendly but really it was just completely unprofessional.When the food finally arrived, it turned out to be a basic Costco-style pizza base topped with Indian ingredients—something I’ve had many times from takeaway shops. It was far from impressive. The overall experience was disappointing: poor customer service, a toilet without soap and a long wait for mediocre food. It took an hour to receive what was essentially a takeaway pizza. Edit: Since I cannot reply I will edit my review and put it here. We were the only customers in the restaurant apart from a couple to our left who left shortly after and 3 ladies in the corner. I find it extremely disappointing you have fabricated that 'our group' (me and my friend)were disruptive. We were not disruptive in any way, we sat patiently waiting for our food. The only interactions we had with staff were asking about the wait time and if we could have the correct drinks that we ordered.There couldn't have been multiple complaints as there weren't enough people physically in the restaurant for their to be multiple complaints.

Ordered Thai red curry, have burnt aftertaste. Otherwise atmosphere is good, packaging is fancy

Good spot for lunch. Great variety of rice, and noodles dishes. Been here a few times and portions good and food tasty Reasonably priced and in line with the market on the road.
