Heard about a vegan buffet costing just £7.50 so decided to try it out. The place was small and cosy and the buffet was neatly compacted into one section. The best item was the spring rolls which were crisp and tasty. The rest of the meal was acceptable but lacked flavour, some of the soya dishes were like cardboard but what do you expect for such a low price? Perhaps if they made more effort and charged about £12, this could be improved.

Food is always phenomenal at Loving hut.

As Always, such WONDERFUL Chinese Vegan food!!! Really Tasty and so Healthy, with Loads of Veg plus really satisfying Vegan Proteins. Shared this today with four of my best friends, all of whom find their Loving Hut vegan takeaways truly special, including one of my meat-eating friends. FABULOUS! 🥰

As always, this takeaway is an absolutely FAB vegan meal; very varied, very moorish, and Delicious! Most highly Recommended.

We ordered four servings of steamed fragrant rice, but we sat down and found that we had only been given one, which is an abysmal level of service. As we had already collected the order and taken it home it was too late to correct.

Love it here. Always go when we are in Archway. Lots of choice for vegans and at really decent prices. Everything we have had there has been really tasty.

As always Fantastic Vegan food! Loads of healthy veg! An Extremely Authentic Vegan version of fish in the form of their “sizzling fish steak” enriched with so much veg which is Amazing, as are so many of their truly delicious dishes!

Hi, so we were really looking forward to eating here. Ordered the prawn balls which were crispy and fresh but had no flavour. The sweat and sour sauce was really sweet. The salt and spicy spare ribs were bland and boring. No spice whatsoever. The texture was leather like...one to avoid... waste of time and money. Our main was the satay mock chicken. A little bland and the sauce should have been thicker. The presentation and position size was a good. The noodle dish was bland, bland, bland. Thank goodness there was a bottle of sriracha sauce on the table. Rice...not sure if it was freshly cooked or reheated. Vegan restaurants are to be celebrated but I would avoid this one unless it makes the food more flavoursome.

Loving Hut's ability to take my favourite Chinese resturaunt meals and make them vegan is incredible! It is always such a lovely and nostalgic experience eating their food, as I enjoy the flavours I did as a child, but now cruelty free!

Everything is amazing. We had the starter sharer which was UNREAL, chow mein, special fried rice, szechuan chicken and chicken balls and it was all delicious. Lovely staff too and a cute little venue

Exceptional Vegan Chinese food The chicken balls were exceptional. The mix starters was a very varied dish and very tasty with satay skewers, seaweed, spring rolls and barbecue ribs. The sesame toast was the highlight. As with meat Chinese which I haven’t had for five years, Starters is always the best. Duck nice too. Ordered too much and took for takeaway.

Amazing!! No sesame in anything we ordered which is great as I have a sesame allergy! Every dish was sooo yummy too! Would be even better if they delivered! :D will definitely be coming again and again.

Hooray, a cheery vegan restaurant with friendly elegant staff and reasonable prices. What's not to like? I sat down thinking, "I love this". The mature woman who served me couldn't have been more attentive, she was terrific. I ordered a pretend-prawn laksa and some brown rice tea. The tea was lovely but the fake-rubbery seafood and peanut broth were less nice, and I'd have preferred no pretend-stuff at all. But overall, it was OK. That night I was ill and I think it was the rubbery stuff. I hadn't eaten anything since breakfast, so it couldn't have been anything else, my body just reacted, very badly, to what I ate. The thing is, I like this place. I'm cheering for it and who knows, maybe it's the London water or something, that affected me. But my gut reaction, apart from the staff and setting was so nice, is why do vegan places always serve up 'pretend-beef' or 'fake-bacon' or 'it's-a-bit-like-seafood' substitute, when the reason why vegans go there, is because they don't like that stuff. Daft.

Loving hut are one of the best. Order was ready even though I arrived early food was very fresh and tasty.

Delicious food and ready right on time which is important when you have to pick up! Really enjoyed the mixed starters, and the crispy chilli beef! Will definitely order again!

Firstly, the idea of this is so good! Some of the food was really tasty: the seaweed, spring rolls and vegetable fried rice. However, the meat substitutes were largely not very nice. The chicken was really watery and the duck was so sickly sweet it was us feel a little sick. The crispy chilli beef was apparently very realistic. Maybe a smaller menu with a little bit more care over each dish would elevate this place. Presentation and service were both very good. Lots of positives but we left a lot of our food which was a shame.

Its a good vegan restuarant and the worker is very friendly. the food is yummy and really well made.

Absolutely delicious food! Portions were generous, all of it stayed hot for a long time, and the different tastes were fantastic!

Love this unique little restaurant. Nothing else like it that I know of. The buffet food is so delicious and varied. Each dish is addictive. Love the atmosphere and decor. Been coming here for decades. Sadly closed during the pandemic and really hope this restaurant survives and opens soon.

Some of the best food I have ever tasted! There’s no where else like it in London, I’ve recommended them to so many people and everyone has loved them. Service is amazing as well. All round 5 stars from me

Food quality has gone down noticably since lockdown!

Amazing food, sorely missed since lockdown. There isn't a single bad dish on the menu. The mock Mongolian lamd pancakes are incredible.

I went to Loving Hut for my 50th Birthday with my family. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and remembered us from years ago! We order lots of dishes as we know we like the food however the waitress points out we have lots of chicken dishes so we change one of them. I order the Chicken in black bean sauce. This is delicious and all the dishes come at similar times and the manager treats us to sizzling lemon chicken on the house! This is the centre piece for the table! We eat and chat and my chicken dish taste like chicken ( It's mock carnival made form soya!) the textures are good and the sauce just right. The waitress is attentive and checks we are okay and tops up green tea as requested. The manager also brings out a vegan chocolate cake for my birthday! A night to remember! Thank you Loving Hut!

I visited Loving Hut on a Saturday evening in December and overall I was impressed with the food although there were a few questionable moments with the service. In terms of food this restaurant offers a fantastic range of vegan Chinese food all of which everyone in the party found tasty. The only downside with the food is that the portion sizes were quite small. In terms of service the food came very quickly which was impressive, however the starter came with less items then it should. Also the server forgot one of the mains so it came after the rest of the food.

If you no longer eat meat or are wanting to cut down for environmental reasons but still crave Chinese like you remember it, this is the place for you! Having not eaten meat for about 4 years, dishes such as spicy chilli beef, duck pancakes and ribs are a distant memory for me... but at the Loving Hut, everything is back on the menu! It’s unbelievable how well they have managed to emulate the flavours and textures of those old forgotten favourites. We had a starters platter with sesame toasts, ‘ribs’, spring rolls and seaweed, then ‘duck’ pancakes (amazing). Then we had the chilli ‘beef’ (amazing) some black pepper aubergine and rice. If you’re a meat eater, expecting these dishes to be exactly the same as the meat versions (and you don’t feel the value in not having meat), then you might be disappointed. If you’re expecting gourmet or haute cuisine food, or looking for a massive health fest then again, you’ll be disappointed. That’s not what the Loving Hut is. It’s a typical Chinese restaurant, which makes that style of food possible for vegans/vegetarians again and we loved it.

Who says that vegetarian cousine is boring shall try this restaurant. I’m not a frat fan of vegetarian meat but I wanted to try the bbq ribs and were delicious. Same for the spring rolls and the noodles with vegetables. Deeply suggested!

This place is utterly brilliant. They could never do delivery - they're too busy! Go. Or pick up.

We had heard rave reviews of this place from some vegetarian friends, highly praising the mock meat dishes. As a result we drove half away across london to eat here. All I can say is that this was an utter waste of time ! On first glance the menu looks appealing with a multitude of options. Unfortunately the first thing I tasted was their 'BBQ ribs' - this was utterly disgusting - quite when barbecue meant sugary syrup I dont know. Lots of the other dishes were far too sweet as well - for instance the chilli soya balls had no chilli whatsoever and diabetes inducing levels of sugar. The only dish that was any good was the salt and pepper vegetarian chicken which essentially tasted like a mock meat version of popcorn chicken. Frankly everything else was lousy. Service was rude as well - when we asked to order the waiter blurted out 'look through the menu' despite us having been doing just that for the preceding 10 minutes.

My girlfriend visited here about a year before we met and wanted to go back. She's vegetarian and I'm a meat-eater but was game for it and rather looking forward to it. Our server didn't understand when I asked if they used Quorn as it's the one thing to which I am for some reason highly allergic. I gave up trying to explain and just took a chance. My starter was breaded 'prawns' and a dip which was delicious. Very prawn-like indeed. But my 'chicken' curry main was awful. It was beige in colour and the taste was like nothing I had tasted before. Synthetic, plastic-like and smelled dreadful. The sauce was a slop and the 'chicken' came in what looked like processed rectangular strips straight off a conveyor belt. I struggled to swallow one mouthful of this metallic-tasting stuff and could eat no more. So I went hungry but I literally was physically unable to eat it. My girlfriend was a bit mad with me, and I felt bad because it was her idea to go there, but what can you do when your tastebuds find a plate of food utterly inedible? My girlfriend ate my curry as well as her own main so she at least got a good feed. Maybe if I'd chosen another main it might have been good, but what I selected was the worst thing that has ever been served to me.

Always fantastic food from this imaginative and caring vegan Chinese restaurant/take away. Very tasty, great variety. Thank you thank you for declining animal nightmare for culinary heaven :)

We've been coming here for years, can't recommend it enough! It's so good that since we moved to south London we still make the pilgrimage to Archway to collect! Especially recommend the crispy duck, sweet and sour chicken and egg fried rice!

A friend took us there for dinner. While we are not Vegan, we were very impressed with some dishes, such as the ribs and the duck alternatives. All in all a very positive experience. We will happily go again if we find ourselves in London.

I am a regular at this restaurant. The food is always amazing and tasty. Service is friendly and efficient with not long wait between each course.

The food was tasty as always, but they forgot part of my order. Wouldn't have been a problem but it's not close to where I live, and making the journey for some spring rolls seems excessive.

Two dishes were wrong when I got them home. Not the first time it’s happened! They did admit this and refunded those dishes though. Still it’s a long way to go and collect then get home to find the meal has been spoiled.

Yet again awful time management from the restaurant. Waiting for over half an hour after the collection time (which had already been put back), with the restaurant just saying you're next you're next. So frustrating and defeats the convenience of getting a takeaway. Food was quite nice.

I love this place. I actually think it's the best Chinese take away I've had. Definitely recommend the sweet chilli 'beef'. If you're local, they don't serve beer, so I recommend a take out and a beer at home.
