Love this place food is lovely all the time service not always on point but still okay hense the 2 stars, wings are absolutely amazing and the chicken Singapore noodles are so delicious

Food was beautifully served however service charge was too high and easily missed as being an option. Staff at check out had attitude issues when requesting removal of services charge.

Embarrassingly small portion of the Beef Rendang. Not even enough for one person and very over priced. Would not recommend. Thai green was also flavourless with overcooked chicken

As regular customers, we must admit this place always meets our high gourmet food expectations. Staff is very friendly and Mesi who is the friendliest team member delivers premium customer service. She is bubbly, knowledgeable and always has a warm tone. Food is fantastic. Recommended for all ages!

They are arrogant & rude. Customer service is not a priority here. Sure the food is ok but when you are charging twice as much as the same quality available at a takeaway 1 mile away you need to dress it up, be nice, friendly, even make your guests feel valued (god forbid) & give your punters a reason to pay the extra.

Food is delicious, but amazed at how unhelpful that guy on the phone was, when I called to ask that my delivery order be made gluten free (since they allow for some dishes to be gluten free, but you have to call to let them know). Very rude and poor customer service. I asked to speak with someone else, and he said that he was the manager. Please find a new manager.

The service was excellent. The person that met us was warm and welcoming and our server, Nair, was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, although with a little less rice and a little more sauce our main course would have been perfect. The prawn crackers were the best we’d ever eaten and the pandan pancake filled with coconut was scrumptious. Overall a great experience and we will definitely be back.

Delicious dishes, the meat is tender, tasty and juicy. The welcome is pleasant and the atmosphere is warm, we had a pleasant time with the family.

After reading the reviews, I had high expectations, but the food was disappointing. As a fan of Vietnamese and Thai cuisine, I found this to be a poor imitation of both. I won’t be returning.

Very average food. As someone mentioned, they ask for a good review when you visit them, therefore, all these great reviews can’t be fully trusted.

We went to Banana Tree, Angel to celebrate my friend’s diploma, and overall, it was a great experience. The Laksa I had was slightly different from what I remember (maybe there’s a new chef), but the highlight of our visit was the exceptional service. A special shoutout to Mesi, who went above and beyond to make our day special. She not only provided excellent service but also recommended the best dessert we’ve ever had at Banana Tree. Her team’s customer service was outstanding—they were attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome. I highly recommend visiting when Mesi and her team are on shift for a top-notch experience.

Ordered online paid £15 plus delivery which isn’t cheap! They only gave me 4 prawns I’ve ordered before and it normally 8 completely unfair considering this is a £15 pad Thai! Do better

Main was cold, I reckon it was microwave cooked. Stairs to toilets was filthy and overall the place smells bad. I live locally and will never return.

Below average food. Felt like everything is from a frozen section of a supermarket. The quality of the food nowhere justifies the prices. I got the wings, dumplings and gochujang rice bowl. Barely edible. The drinks were from low quality juice cartons.

Honestly slightly below average food We got 4 dishes and all 4 were borderline disappointing. I don't know who I'd recommend this restaurant to.

Absolutely fantastic evening at the Banana Tree! Top quality food (satay to die for!). I was on a business trip with friends and we all absolutely loved it. The service was fantastic and we didn’t have to wait an age for food which is always a bonus! We will definitely be going back!

I had dinner at The Banana Tree in Islington last Saturday, and it was fantastic! The food was amazing, and the manager, Mesi, went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. A big thank you for the wonderful experience! I will definitely be returning! :)

Nice midrange restaurant. We went right when the kitchen was closing so probably didn't get the full experience. Had the laksa, which hit the spot.

I love the range of cuisine here. Staff are always friendly and the restaurant is big enough to never feel crowded.

Our main courses were delicious as usual but I tried one of the new side dishes of a Korean Drug Egg which is supposed to be soft boiled but was completely hard boiled and not nice at all. We asked for dessert menus that never came and in the end paid up using the QR code and left without desserts.

Visited for lunch today. Thankfully we booked a table as it was packed! Had the chicken ramen, which was absolutely delicious, along with a lychee juice 😋 Was alittle slow to take our order, so could potentially do with another waiter on the floor on a Saturday afternoon if it's always that busy. Other than that, it was lovely. Will definately be back to try the 2 for 1 cocktails.

Great dinner at Banana Tree Angel! Mesi and the team were very welcoming and accommodating! Had a Beef Rendang which was absolutely mouthwatering and full of flavours. The Bao Bomb dessert was delicious too! Would definitely recommend!

Nair was super attentive with a beautiful warm smile. The blast of icy wind every time the door opened next to us suitable only for huskies.

We recently visited 'Banana Tree' branch at Islington and the staff member Naresh initially took our orders. When I said that I was allergic to specific food ingredients, he patiently checked and gave me the list of all the items in the menu that were suitable for me. Sai from his team also attended us and she was very warm , welcoming and checked on us to know if we were happy with the food that was served and if we needed any further help. Naresh, Sai and the team were friendly ,customer centric and received us well. We've been greeted with a smile by the staff upon arrival, and they've been very attentive all throughout our stay. Like to give special thanks to Mesi, who was serving our table. She is very professional and friendly. The food was very tasty and filling, lots of variety. The atmosphere is very relaxed and cosy, with nice decoration. This was my third time dining here and will definitely coming back. One of my fav restaurant in London.

Parecía un 10-20 % más caro que otros restaurantes de la misma calidad. Buen servicio pero ruidoso, así que algo difícil de escuchar a la persona al otro lado de la mesa. El Sauvignon blanco y rosado eran ambos buenos pero £ 1 - 2 demasiado. El servicio fue amable y eficiente. Ambos de nuestros primeros platos fueron menos que interesantes (croquetas de bacalao tailandés y gambas de cacahuete mariposa). Platos principales mejor (curry verde tailandés y pollo al curry con cacahuetes y coco (olvidar nombre exacto) ) pero tamaños de porción más caros y moderados de lo ideal.

ALLERGY WARNING Banana tree have changed the ingredients of some of their existing dishes without telling customers. I had an allergic reaction as the Thai green curry now contains fish and shellfish. They should notify customers that the dish recipe has changed.
