We had a wonderful meal at this place. Four people, two seafood hot pots, absolutely delicious, and a few starters. Food is top, service is very friendly and price is totally reasonable. We will definitely go again!

gamjatang was great and side dishes are good too. Good service and the place was clean. The seafood pajeon though didn’t have enough seafood for my taste. But I’d go back for the stews.

I enjoyed the food here, and I do think their food is delicious. The waitress was on her phone and didn't see new customers arrive to be seated. I had to ask for the bill to pay up and leave. It's a small issue but this is a new restaurant and they should be very pleased to serve new customers.

It's a place where a lot of good stories can be told. The food is very clean and has depth. The service is also very, very good 👍👍

The restaurant has had a redesign and has a new owner. The food is great and haven't found value anywhere like this outside of Korea. After living in Korea for many years, this is the closest thing that compares in terms of both taste and value. Highly recommend!

The service is really good here. The waitress here is very friendly, which made the experience another level. I highly recommend the 'spicy seasoned pig ear salad' if you like spicy or 'Guobaorou' sweet and sour pork which is crunchy sweet and sour. The food portion is friendly and they do not charge service charge. Will definitely come again!☺️

Had a great time, loved the yuzu tea. Highlight is for sure short rib beef soup bowl and kimchi pancake. Very helpful and friendly waiters. Amazing!

Food was decent but could be better: The marinated beef was too dry like it, felt like it was microwaved after being cook as the meat was hot in the inside and cold on the outside. Should be fresh, I could be wrong but it wasn’t nice for me. Seafood pancake could be better but they haven’t really cut the ingredient slightly enough with the crab meat, it’s really just embedded and not really cut and spread out evenly. Tteok-bokki was decent but wasn’t sweet enough. Service was good, polite and welcoming 👌🏻 Atmosphere is good when there only a few tables. Overall - it could be better and I wouldn’t really comeback until they improve the taste, but for valuable for money it’s quite good for prices

In my opinion one of, if not the best, most authentic Korean restaurant in NM. Been there for 20 years - classic establishment ⭐️

Pork was so dry and chewy. It might have been cooked and stored for a while. Others were salty and sweet. On top of that we were served in a way of coldness and sarcastic, sharp tone.

The food was lovely, the staff were fantastic. I really liked the fried pork and ginger, it was all full of flavour and not too spicy, also some of the best Kim chi I've ever tasted.

Don't let the bad reviews dissuade you from coming here. The food is excellent, very worth it and the lady makes the best home made Kimchi. She was very welcoming and had the best tangsuyuk and jajyangmeon. I can't wait to come back here.

Quite authentic Korean food with wide variety

Great food and lovely service! We had the seafood pancake which was very crispy and not oily at all, soon dubu jigae and the ginger sweet and sour pork which was the highlight of the meal! We’ll definitely be back soon! Thank you :)

Food was actually good when we were having it, looked good and tasted just fine. However started feeling sick when going home and my friend ended up throwing up as soon as we got home. I believe it could only be the food here as we didn’t eat anything else before or after…

The Korean dishes tasted quite authentic, and the menu was supplemented with a small collection of Japanese and Chinese options. The small complimentary side dishes were tasty and could be re-filled (for once only). The grilled pork tasted a bit bland though. P.S.: We were there on a hot day, so the AC was a heavenly treat!

Popped into this restaurant for a snack before going to a show. First surpise was that they do not serve wine by the glass, you have to buy a bottle for £25. Bigger surprise that you could buy a bottle of whiskey for £50. Prices were double what you would normally find in Korean restaurants. Needless we walked out without buying a thing. We were the only 2 in there. No surprise there!

Food is quite oily, pancake is crispy but a bit thick. The taste of all dishes is like Chinese mixed Korean which is not traditional Korean food.

The service is good, but the foods are a bit too oily, and with excessive seasoning and msg. The environment is noisy and crowded.

I ordered kimchi stew and enjoyed it. The kimchi side dish suits my taste perfectly. Since it is a kimchi suited to Korean tastes, it may be a bit spicy and salty for foreigners, but it was perfect for me. I bought a 5 pound container of kimchi and ate it all with my in-flight meal~^^ I'm going to the UK again in September~ I'll stop by~^^ ~~ Kimchi Mania ~~

One of the best Korean meals in the greater London area (and the best value)! Their big dumplings were filled to the brim with well seasoned ingredients and piping hot pillowy soft dough! The banchans came with the meal and honestly, the kimchi was so good! We got the kimchi stew and the beef rib soup with greens - huge portions filled with good quality ingredients! The rice was also perfectly cooked. Hands down one of the best Korean meals you can find! Will come regularly!!

Authentic and home cooking style korean at a very affordable price, I also believe the kimchi served here are all homemade (do correct me if I am wrong). Northern Chinese dishes blends in really good together with korean dishes, our food is shared among 8 people. I will suggest also having your meal together with rice (ordered seperately), most dishes can be too salty on its own, so having your meal with a bowl of rice by the side is the way to enjoy the meal.

The food was excellent! All the food was delicious, and even all side dishes were very good. We had sundagok, which made us feel home!! The service was very good as well with good price.

The Palace is a wonderful, friendly local restaurant. We had Korean chicken, fried tofu, kimchi pancakes and beef bbq. - all very tasty and the plates went back empty. The service was attentive and it was great value for money. Keep up the good work!

The sea food noodle in a soup base was disappointing, a small scrap of squid, three mini sized mussels and one prawn. The soup base was uninspiring. The egg soup was yummy, three or four could share. The two dishes was much too much for one person. You do get three freebie dishes, the potatoes was excellent, the kimchi was fine. Overall good value. Got the impression it is a family run restaurant Will give it another try.

Honestly, it's hard to find a place as delicious as this place. The Chinese food is so delicious that even my Chinese friends approve of it. I've been to most of the various Korean and Chinese restaurants from Zone 1 to Zone 6, and this was the best.,,,

Tasty authentic Korean foods in very good price🙌🏻 They have the best Sweet & Sour pork!! chewy and crunchy, just try it you will love it!😍 Other menus that are good in my opinion are: Uguhji Galbitang Yukgae-jang (quite spicy) Sweet & Sour pork Everyone~~~ This is a real steamed restaurant in Kwabarou😋 It's really crunchy and the glutinous rice is chewy... It's so delicious that you'll remember it when you get home☺️ Be sure to try it, the soups here are also delicious :) I tried the beef rib stew with beef stew and it was delicious🙌🏻 The portions here are large and the prices are reasonable, so this is the best restaurant in New Malden~~~❤️‍🔥💫 Please stay in business for a long time!!

Friendly staff and the food here is consistently good, with a home-made feel. Try the kimchi pancake, sweet & sour pork with ginger or the beef salad with coriander. The seafood with crispy rice cake is one that's less common in London, and worth a special mention. Licensed too, you might try the Korean shou jiu liquor but the Hite beer is pretty acceptable too.

The food is ok but too much oil. The service is the worst I have ever seen before. The waitress half way of taking orders disappeared. Collected half of the empty plates then playing on her phone instead of finished to collect the plates. Still charge service charge for this service.

I got the beef bulgogi with rice. There were too much sugar but the overall quality was nice. I thought it would come in a hot plate so I was surprised it came in a bowl with soup… The price was £11, good place for a casual lunch.

Sweet and sour pork is so delicious and soft that kids really enjoy eating it. There is a lot of food, enough for my two children and me.

Swung back through New Malden after trip to Box Hill and decision to have supper in one of the many Korean restaurants in this significant Korean neighbourhood. Came upon this whole street of options and chose this one which seemed the most snug and lively. Good value first rate meal. We’ve grown familiar with the tables with a grill in them. Had a pleasant 14% drink with little plums in it. May have over-ordered when we added a kimchi pancake to our main. All in a good session.

Most ripped off place run by Chinese pretending to be Korean. Do not even try. 8 pieces of frozen chicken wings for £15. Small old Seafood pancake with no sea food for £8. One of those ripped off places.

The worst Korean food I have ever had. Ginseng chicken soup is so bad, I could not taste any ginseng in the soup. The chicken also tastes bad. The quality of the spicy squid with rice is like the quality in a Chinese takeaway, just edible. It is not worth paying 30 quids for this. In addition, we have to pay 12.5% service charge on top, but the service is terrible, rude and grumpy lady. We will never come back to this one restaurant again. Void.

The other dishes are also delicious, but I recommend the South Korean doenjang stew. (Soybean Paste Stew) As this place is bustling with customers such as Koreans, Chinese, and local people etc., I hope that the friendliness of the staff will develop day by day.

I’d save your money and go to any restaurant down the high street. Been suffering from a stomach ache since. Also very plastic tasting toppoki, chewy dumpling (with cabbage and bad tasting boiled pork with zero flavour) and over cooked egg on kimchi rice. Very disappointing an over priced meal. The lady serving us was lovely though

Did not know that the quality has gone downhill. I have tried this place few times before and the quality of the food had always been good, not the best in New Malden but still good. Was there a change of Chef or something, cuz yesterday's visit was a big disappointment.. Even the kimchi was so bad, you can get better Kimchi in a readymade packet than what we were served. I travelled so far to enjoy authentic Korean food but a restaurant near my home in Maidstone makes better tasting Korean food than this.

Would love to see a bit more improvement. The place came recommended but it was a let down.

Great Korean restaurant for super affordable prices! They have the best side dishes and the staff is so so so lovely. Been coming here since 2017, travelling from quite far just to come New Malden and enjoy the food here - I recommend the black bean beef and the teriyaki chicken!

I've been to most of the Korean establishments on the high street and this is my favourite. Big portions and good quality. I'd suggest the chicken and pancakes.

overall: wonderful hearty warm meal. you know it’s authentic when they give you bachans (korean side dishes) for free. would urge you to try something not offered in london korean restaurants. dried seaweed rolls 🍚: i miss this dish so much, i’ve only saw this once in london korean restaurants. it’s simple, basic & delicious. seafood pancake 🦑: another one of my go-to. above average & generous portion. but would like it crispier & with a bit more seafood. beef ribs & outer leaves of spicy soup 🍲: decided to pick something that i’ve never seen in london korean restaurants & i’m glad i did so. the soup is soybean paste based hence filled with umami flavours, with a hint of spice aftertaste. the vegetables also adds savouriness to the soup. there’s 2 pieces of beef short ribs that are so tender that it slides of the bone effortlessly. wish they offer this in london.

awful. food is good but we ordered a hotpot undef the impression it was chicken or beef since the menu did not specify. it was pork, me and my cousin are muslims and didnt realise. after eating a small amount we realised that it was pork and asked them to replace the food, which they did not. we were treated horribly and we feel terrible about this.

Went for lunch yesterday with my daughter who is a fan of Korean food. Our meal was delicious . The staff was very friendly and although its about 1 hour drive from where we live, it is worth the trip. It feels very authentic and local Korean people were also eating there which in my books, is a good sign. I recommend this little gem.

This is mine and my friends favourite Korean restaurant to go to. The food is amazing, reasonably priced and the staff are super friendly and helpful! Always leave really satisfied and the portions are super generous as well, so definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to find some delicous Korean food!

Sweat and sour Chinese style was top notch. But sea food & crusted overcooked rice(눙 릉지) was very poorly prepared and hardly not much of sea foods.

We came here to eat some Korean bbq and the food was really good! Good portion and the prices are reasonable. The lady was so kind , nice and sweet! Be back soon for sure! :)

I really enjoy Korean food, however Palace didn't meet my expectations. Pros: service was fine as we were the only ones there and bim bim bap was good. Cons: Ja Jiang mein had the least amount of pork i have ever seen, i think it was three tiny pieces of mince! And the chicken in crispy batter was just batter and it wasn't crispy. It was like eating dough that had been cooked 70% through.

Incredible food, I'd give this place 10/5 if I could for the fried chilli chicken alone. Crispy skin, a good amount of sauce and a delicious deep and bold flavour. The beef bulgogi is also a stand out, they serve it in a sizzling stone pot that smells amazing, you'll definitely want to order this once you see it going past your table.

First time korean, it was amazing. Presentation, portion all great. Small place atmosphere was relaxing and service was great.

Just normal, kimchi soup is good, but the bbq is not that good.

My first experience having Korean food was the best experience someone could ever have, I loved that from the beginning the staff approached us, were friendly and professional, they sat us down, helped us pick the meat, they cooked it for us, explained all the details and I could have not been happier with them.

One of the Korean restaurants in New Malden that I first entered because the menu displayed outside had saury kimchi stew. When I first came here, I didn't order the ongchi kimchi stew that caught my attention, but instead ate jjamppong and rice. While ordering, I asked the Korean waiter to make it spicier, but the soup came out really spicy. It wasn't the best Jjamppong I've had in London, but it wasn't bad either. More than anything else, kimchi, stewed potatoes, bean sprouts, and bean sprouts were served as basic side dishes, and the warm barley tea was very nice. It was great that side dishes, including kimchi, were provided for free. On my second visit, I ordered saury kimchi stew and it was spicy. However, the first taste was a bit fishy, ​​but it was delicious after eating it. One of the biggest drawbacks is that the saury kimchi stew contains very small pieces of saury. A restaurant I would definitely come back to again

Very yummy! Healthy! Kind staffs & Good choice to have them

So went to have Korean food for dinner on saturday evening but didn't realise how busy some restaurants were on the high street of New Malden. Didn't know that I should have made a reservation beforehand. So we tried around 3 different restaurants with no luck but went into Palace and were seated immediately. And it was pretty full in there as well so that was great. I got the Bimibap though it's not called that on the menu, I think it's called mixed vegetables with rice and you can choose whether to add minced beef or chicken. It cost £8.50 and was really yummy, your basic bog standard bimibap. I think they added some seaweed as well which I've never seen before. Tasted great. My sister got the Beef-Rib Soup with Rice which cost £8. I tried some. It was AMAZING! I would definitely go back just for the soup. It tasted so good! Really hearty and warming. Service was fast. They do add a 10% service charge. Had a lovely dinner.
