Always amazing curry and quick delivery

Been great for years, but tonight the experience was average, nothing like it used to be. The sauce was watery and not the usual colour, and the taste was not as before 😒

not happy tonight guys. firstly, no salad with our tikka starter (this is the third time in a row, usually we get you to bring it round, but too tired to wait) then the mint sauce was all thick and couldn't taste the mint! so certainly not up to your usual standard, am sorry to say.

I've never tasted a more bland Indian takeaway in my life. Sack the chef.

wonderful food, delivered to our door. May sound odd saying that but we live on the first floor and many delivery people believe it's OK to leave it at the bottom of the stairs and as we are both disabled and find it difficult to go up and down stairs, it was delightful to be given it in our hands; I will say al-amin always do this so I am not surprised! but thank you so much anyway. As I said at the beginning, food was brilliant, well cooked and lovely and hot!

DONT ORDER! Unless you want to be attacked! The delivery driver was late (side note I called the restaurant to ask why it stated delivered when it hadn’t been and they literally laughed at me on the phone) when he finally knocked the door he banged it hard then he continued to shout at us to say it’s too far we can’t continue to deliver this far I went to say why is it our problem if you are advertising on the just eat app and he went to continue to come towards us to shout it’s to far!

Over charges. Wrong order. Bad manners/attitude. The menu says 25% off for pick up but 20% on their shop window. They confirmed the order on the phone. Got stroppy when we pointed out their prices didn’t match what was advertised and then gave us the wrong order when we collected it. We didn’t notice the mistake till we got home and thought it not worth the trouble to have to argue again with the rude staff. Soggy nan. Another rip off business with confrontational staff.

My favourite takeaway! Tarka Dal and Peshwari naan always delicious. Staff always accommodating if we want to alter things slightly.

Used to love Al Amin, but the last two times we've ordered have been disappointing. Very oily curries and sides lacking flavour, and pretty expensive too. Such a shame.

This restaurant has the best prices and the post delicious rice and burijani. We love the complimentary veggie massala and the grilled kofta. It's just simply the best in Kingston!

3 main dishes - Keema Aloo was 90% potato with little meat. The so-called 'Spicy' Patia was so bland that for the first time ever, I added some hot sauce to it for a bit of heat, but it still didn't add proper curry / spice taste and my friend described her dish as an 'OK chicken stew, but would never describe it as curry'

We used to get takeaways from here years ago regularly when we lived in Kingston and then Chipstead..now we live even further away but miss the taste and come back for it..very good food.

The chicken tikka samosas are amazing

Always been popular with my family. Recommend the Brinjal bhaji and lamb or chicken Jalfrezi if you like it hot. Peshwari Nan good too. Very friendly well run take away.

As usual. The best. Missed the Lamb chop starter though as they’d run out. Always my ‘go to’ for a curry !

Been using this since it opened it been up and down now for some time .Had dry chicken shashlik nearly choked on it . Not much chicken at all as before the get so tight. Rang them up to complain and just got palmed of and they put phone down had the same over the Christmas period aswell very bad service if something is wrong use to use the 2-3 times a week at one point but now they can do one load of over priced s*"t!!

We ordered the tandoori mixed grill which came with free garlic Nan bread. All was delicious, chicken Tikka leg, lamb chop, skewered chicken breast pieces, lamb kofta thing, lamb pieces. Side salad was fresh and plentiful and the green mint sauce exactly as I like it, a little bit sweet. Garlic Nan was lovely, fresh with fresh garlic. So much food for £12.50 we didn’t eat it all. I stupidly ordered chips with it thinking if the meat was dry at least we’d have them, but they were the only disappointing item, hence one star off perfect score. Skinny-ish fries don’t travel well, my mistake. I’d order again. Better than a sloppy curry any day!

Best indian restaurant in Kingston, it’s been a family favourite since I was a kid. Never once have we had a complaint. Staff are all friendly, customer service is excellent always chucking in puppdums for us.

Possibly the best Indian take away in Kingston. Just try some of the others. Ok they have a delivery charge but you do get what you pay for. The food is consistent and the kitchen open to view. They have now started Asian fusion food but I haven’t tried this yet.

Consistently good quality food, at a very good price. Highly recommend the option of adding Tikka meats to curry sauces - chicken tikka biryani for example is excellent. Garlic naan also outstanding. My rogan josh was oily, so I'm dropping a star, but it did taste great.

A lot of the food tasted the same - while the food itself wasn't burnt, either the spices (or some ingredient) was burnt, or a pan was used that previously had something very burnt in it. Chicken chat, say paneer, chicken balti, and garlic chicken all had the same bitter/burnt taste. The only thing that tasted like it should was the Dahl. We have gone to Al-Amin many times and its normally great, but we were very disappointed last night.

Quick Delivery, Hot food well cooked and just right for a cold evening. None of the big restaurants can even get food to us lukewarm let alone hot. We have been customers here for more than a year not looking to change.

Firstly, no salad with tikka starter, but had a busy day and too hungry to wait for redelivery of it and unusually the actual meal was not great, as my husband said it could have come from any old takeaway not the great food we have come to love and expect from you!

Good food But dishonest and rude service I've been a regular here for a long time and is the only place that makes a decent curry in Kingston. Never had any issues until today. Checked online for total cost of order then decided to call and place it to collect. Was told a higher price on the phone, when I told them their own website order system was giving me a lower price paying by card then collecting or paying on collection. Phone was passed to 3 different people, second one told me 20 something then 3rd said 19 something. Arrived to pay and collect and the price was the highest one. Showed to screenshot of online order then the 3rd person tried to justify it by saying the extra cost was because of the "facility to talk and order on the phone". He then went onto say I was lying and threatened to slap me in bengali. Unaware that I understood every single word. He was rude to the chef I assume and myself. He broke his prayer to address this. I would have happily waited. Deffinately won't be ordering from here EVER again.FYI, if they start talking in another language and the atmosphere feels weird/awks, they are bad mouthing you!
