The best restaurants serving Asian food in East Midlands

Have visited this restaurant twice this year now and can truly say the food is delicious. I recommend the gyozas, the Duck Bao buns and the Makku Sauvignon Blanc. Lovely atmosphere, great service, please try it.

We sometimes get food from here and its pretty good,i dont no if its because its christmas eve and they probably made loads of food to keep in front but im sorry to say the food was not great at all and the sweet and sour sauce and barbecue sauce was well watered down sorry but you have lost my custom

One of the worst biriyani i had , old biriyani , staff is rude ,over cooked and old biriyani recommended 10/1

Ordered later on in the evening on a weekend. Food came fast and with a variety of meals (jacket potato, Rogan josh, burger and chips, donor and chips). Came sooner than the estimated time and was piping hot too. All the food tasted great and the portions were very generous especially for the price point. First time eating from here. Would recommend and we shall be back next time we are back in Derby.

I recently dined at McIndain's and had a delightful experience! I ordered the naan with butter chicken, which was rich and creamy, perfectly complemented by a side of fresh salad. The naan was soft and warm, making it a fantastic pairing with the flavorful butter chicken. I also tried the special donner tray, which came with a salad. I really enjoyed this dish, especially the special donner—the spices were excellent and added a wonderful depth of flavor. The combination of tender meat and vibrant spices made it a standout choice. Overall, McIndain's offers a great selection of tasty dishes that are sure to please. I highly recommend trying the naan with butter chicken and the special donner tray—you won’t be disappointed! I can’t wait to return for more!

This has been our local Chinese for 8 years now. We have tried a fair few before deciding, ‘you pay for what you get’. Slightly more expensive than others but my Gosh so worth the extra few pence. The crispy shredded beef is so crisp and tastes like beef! The salt and pepper chips are amazing, curries are tasty, sweet and sour chicken never had any issues with, unlike photos. Would 100% recommend this take away. People are always keen to share bad reviews and no one ever seems to sing praises when due.

Went to visit with my husband - the food was delicious however the service was quite concerning. The waitress I believe her name was Jennifer or Jamie something along those lines appeared rude, cold and appeared as though she was intoxicated. We asked for some water and she just scoffed at us and walked past - thankfully another young girl when asked did it swiftly. Overall unsure on recommendation but the food was nice.

Despite being disappointed in the past I decided to give Duffield Balti another try. I have tried many many curry restaurants/take-aways over the years and feel qualified to comment. This time I was very disappointed following a take-away order. The curry and especially the chicken tikka main was completely taste-less and after attempting to eat both meals we had to 'bin it'. Even the mushroom pilau lacked any flavour - how can a simple dish be so easily messed up. Do not waste your time!
