Food is pretty good, no real complainants and there are so many options. My family and I come here a lot. The service is usually good, but sometimes it is too busy, and the staff struggle to clear your empty plates. The atmosphere is ok but again, it is very busy. The new refurbishment is a good one, but putting the drinks refill counter right next to the payment counter was a stupid design idea as that area gets too crowded.

Just amazing Pakistani food fresh made brings the taste of Pakistan back. You need to ask them to make your food Pakistani spices or style it will be amazing. U should try having the brain masla just amazing.

I had to share my home delivery experience so it happens to nobody else. £39.20 for 2 mains 1 rice 1 naan and 1 poppadom was ridiculously expensive. The food tasted awful. Strangest tasting madras I've ever experienced. The food turned up late, stone cold, leaking all over the carrier bag. The naan bread was stone cold and chewy texture. The poppadom was smashed into 100 pieces. Looked like and probably was, sat on. Would have driven there and give it to them back had we not been drinking. The fact we were drinking alcohol is the only reason why we attempted to eat the currys. Shocking. Thought it was going to be something special at that price point. Will be looking into this bank charge back somebody told me about. I want my money back for this rubbish. 😩

1 star Wouldn’t recommend – Read before booking! I WOULD GIVE -1 if I could ! If you’re planning a special night out or a group booking avoid ABOVE at all costs. We booked for a birthday party of 15 people, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was awful. Anna, who handled our booking, was rude and completely unhelpful on the day. On top of that, a “manager” (a tall, bigger man with long dark hair) was even worse unpleasant, arrogant, and disrespectful. We were promised certain things in advance, but NONE of them were delivered. If you do decide to book, make sure everything is confirmed in writing don’t trust a single word over the phone. The email communication was poor, and calls were made because of their lack of clarity, but even then, nothing was honoured on the day. It’s clear that this venue can’t handle large groups. If you can’t cater to them properly, don’t take people’s money and then treat them like they’re stupid. To make matters worse, when my partner walked me to the hotel next door around 10pm and came back, he was refused entry by security, supposedly because he “argued with the manager” earlier. There was no argument , just valid questions raised about the many issues with the booking. It felt like we were being punished for expecting basic service. Then around 6 security staff was called down. So over the top. Get professional people to handle the door and management not kids on steroids that can’t handle they work!! The staff are clearly inexperienced, lack professionalism, and couldn’t care less. The manager is stuck up and completely unapproachable. There are plenty of better places in Newcastle that actually care about customer service and value your money. ABOVE was a disappointing and unpleasant experience. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere that respects its guests. Would never return. Avoid.

We decided to try Ryde Tandoori and wow, we were not disappointed. The food was extremely tasty and plentiful, and to be honest, this is one of the best curries I have had....ever. Great friendly service and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.

The best japchae I've ever had and I've had plenty. The Korean fried chicken was really really good too, wish it was saucier! Stir fried udon was almost as good as the japchae and the chicken soup is a must-order!!! Seems like you can't really go wrong here 😍 (only thing I'd say would be to order something other than the bibimbap, it was just average) Be sure to make a booking and a little warning but the area is pretty cramped and small so if you're carrying loads of things that might be one thing to think about!

I attended the annual 7 Lion Club event. The music, food and service was outstanding. Thanks to Mohit and Team. I loved dancing. The event rocked.

Food cold. This was after waiting 20 minutes. I did complain but I would have to wait for a new meal so just had chips. The desert was good.
