First time dining at Han Kang, just off Tottenham Court Road, and we enjoyed the food. We were seated on the ground floor where the tables have the bbq grills (upstairs for non bbq tables). The food was delicious and service was great. The waitress cooked the meats on the bbq for us, and waiting staff were attentive and ensuring we had enough drinks and everything was ok. We ordered the BBQ set menu, which was plenty for 5 of us (bbq set menu consists of beef, chicken, squid, pork belly, lettuce and sliced spring onion side dish). We also ordered the vegetable udon, Dakbal, Modeum Kimchi (side dishes of kimchi, pickes and cucumbers), Tangsuyuk (pork in a tangy sauce) and Beef Dolsot Bibimbab. The restaurant was getting busy by 6pm but wasn’t noisy at all & service was great. We never had to wait too long to place our order, for the food to arrive or replenish our drinks. Overall we had a nice dinner here and will be coming back to try out the other items on the menu.

We had a wonderful meal last night at Han Kang. The seafood pot, kimchi pancakes and sharing grill was a particular highlight. But not only was the food of a high standard at a reasonable price, but the staff were wonderful. The owner made a lot of effort to accommodate my aunt who could not eat salt - she was so considerate and kind. Thank you very much for a lovely evening

Fantastic restaurant, very authenthic! great staff, the Kimchi rice is to die for! Will be going back again! The karoke bar takes you back to the bustling streets of Seoul!

Authentic Korean food in London. I tried a few Korean restaurants in UK, this is one of the best. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommend the seafood pancake and korean noodles.

Karaoke was £60/hr for a small room

A decent Korean restaurant with friendly staff and a variety of nice Korean food. We tried the Korean fried chicken with sweet chilli sauce and Japchae. Overall, the fried chicken was very crispy on the outside and covered with rich sweet chilli sauce. The portion is slightly big for only the two of us. If you love spicy food, this can be your go to but as a person who isn't found of spice, I find it quite challenging. Also, I feel like they can marinate the chicken a bit more before frying them so the inside of the chicken can be more flavourful. For the Japchae, it had a silky texture, the meat and the vegetable match the glass noodle very well. This dish was well seasoned but could be less oily in my opinion.

The only time I visited, the staff had a bad attitude and continuously ignored me and my friends, so we left. I'm not sure if this is the norm or if the store generally does not welcome walk-in customers

Firstly I will start off with the food being decent and tasty. I really enjoyed it - but, I must go on to say I had a look at their menu online and saw the prices and thought it was pretty pricey to then turn up and see the prices were even more expensive on their paper menu. It’s good but on the spenny side - AND to top this off, I asked for more fresh garlic and the waitor responded with, “it’ll cost you” so I asked how much - to be told it’s £4!!! I was disgusted by that. It was literally like 2 cloves sliced worth for £4!!! Ridiculous pricing. And to add salt to the wound - got charged 50p per takeaway box at the end. Never in my life have I been charged for takeaway boxes before. Shambles.

Great food and atmosphere, however we were constantly being reminded of how long we had left which made the experience very stressful. I would personally not go again.

I would say the food is rly good although the price is a bit expensive (but I accept cuz they r all in big portions) However, the service is rly bad. I would say there is barely any service. I am not feeling welcomed by the staff especially upstairs. Also, the staff just point at the table and we don’t even know which table to sit at :( maybe more enthusiasm would be better..? another thing is the soju cocktail is rly not worth it, it seems like the strawberry jam has been premade from a long time ago and the taste is weird. We barely had the strawberry cocktail. But again, food is rly nice! I would recommend the food but not the service :)

I have eaten at this place probably 5 times by now but this is the first time I started to question the hygiene level here. When I ordered the fried chicken I noticed the waiter gave it to the wrong table, I saw one of the male customer take a piece of the fried chicken, the waiter realised he delivered it to the wrong table and then took the plate from them and placed it on our table. If I didn’t witness it I would have eaten it without realising it had been touched. I asked the waiter if I can have a new plate because I saw it was touched by the other table, they denied it happened, but the other customer clearly had a fried chicken on his plate…I had to ask for a new plate, which they gave, but that was after I complained about that...my only suspicion now is if they can deliver the same plate of fried chicken to two tables how do I know if they didn’t deliver the same basket of fried chicken to the table behind me…🤔

The food tastes good, but the Indian female waitress is really unfriendly. When we asked because there was some food that wasn't served, they looked at us like we were wrong for asking, and when we asked for a plate, they looked at us as if we were asking for something like this and gave it to us very rudely. If you read the owner's review, it would be a good idea to pay attention.

paid $62 for 2 strips of short rib, a random bone with no meat and 6 slices of bugogi. prices are outrages they didn’t let me cook it the way i want, the $4 coke i bought only took two gulps to finish and on top of that we waited 30 minutes just to be seated even tho there was 3 tables open

Mixed feelings about this place/ 불친절하고 거의 무례함에 가까운 직원 Restaurant: When I went yesterday with my dad, we were waited on by the most unfriendly waitress I've come across in a long time! Any request, i.e. something simple by a request for some rice or an extra dish and spoon was met with utter reluctance and almost a sense of being judged for asking. 아주 불친절한 인도계 여직원있었는데 그 분 우리 대우한 방식 때문에 많이 불편함. Pocha (visited in Jan): Delicious food, quick service and decent sized portions. Had jjambbong, dakgangjeong and stir fried udon between 3 hungry people and we left totally satisfied! The interior is really Korean, feels like a restaurant young people/ people after work would go to in central Seoul :)

The staff was seemed very rude as soon as we walked in. The waiters kept giving us bad looks and we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated even though the restaurant was Almost empty. We really tried to give it a chance but it just kept getting worse. For £70 you can expect to get 2 small strips of meat and a piece of bone….. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re ever in London. K Town is a better restaurant if you’re looking for KBBQ.

Dreadful, miserable service. Arrived with a wheelchair and restaurant is completely inaccessible. No effort made to be helpful and we even got told off because some of out party of ten were delayed by 15 minutes. Also miserable staff response to the fact that we had two babies with us. No highchairs.

Don’t come!!! Very pooooor food!!! Not eatable at all!!! Don’t be cheated by their “reputation”, really doubt they paid for social media ads. I was very hungry and waited half an hour to get our food. This is what they served. I tried very hard to find something eatable but literally can’t find anything. Too bad to even eat anything. The famous cold noodles is served just like that, don’t have any respect to food. The pot is served with rubbish. In the end I had to leave the restaurant to find something else to eat. Also, the restaurant is located in a dirty smelly street. The environment is noisy and dark. The menu they gave was dirty and used. Don’t come.

Food were quite tasty, but we felt really third after, couldn’t sleep for the whole evening because of thirty. please do not put that ingredient that makes you so thirsty. I do not like to waste food, so I asked for the leftover food to take home, next I recook and diluted with a lots of water and try one piece of the rib with some soup and I still felt really thirsty for the hold evening, the rest of the food will have to be in the bin.

I had a great time with a foreign friend I hadn't seen in a long time, and for a late dinner, I went to the nearest Korean restaurant, “Hangang,” because my friend said he wanted to experience Korean food. The food was hearty and delicious, but I didn't like the hall service at all. First, after enjoying the food with the first two glasses of wine, when we ordered the second two glasses, they suddenly said they would give it back to the wine glass we drank from, so we emptied the glass in a hurry and the returned glass contained less than 125ml... Even the difference between the two glasses was very different. .. I was so embarrassed... I introduced it as a Korean restaurant in front of an acquaintance... but this kind of service.... The glass of wine in the picture costs over 8 pounds... Wow~~~~!!!

Very tasty Korean food, vegetarian options. We were there without a reservation. When you enter the restaurant it looks very small at first and we thought it would be full - but be sure to ask anyway, because there is an upper floor that can be reached from the outside via a staircase. The food was very good and authentic, we would come back

FOOD poison !!! BE VERY CAREFUL! We went to this famous restaurant, ordered famous chicken feet, however it tastes wrong, strong fishy smell. But I told my friend this restaurant is very popular so they won’t have not fresh food so we still ate half dish. But we both vomited and went to toilet many times after eating it. So be careful on which dish you’d like to go for! £100 for Food poison 🥹🥹🥹🥹

Nice restaurant, friendly and helpful staff. Shame we were sat upstairs so we didn't get the full experience of cooking the food on the tables. The food was quite overpriced, a dish of beef and dish of chicken were £20 each and they were pretty small, we weren't able to order noodles on the side for anything less than £15 so we got a bowl of rice instead for £3.50 to bulk it up. 13% service charge on the bill too, so total bill was £75 which was quite steep considering we only got 1x beer and 1x coke! Would return if we could have the experience of cooking food on the tables but wouldn't rush back if not

Small place, but churning out some good food.

Terrible take out experience and service!! I ordered cold noodles for take out as there was no free table at Saturday night. The staff told me the food will be ready within 15mins. However I waited for almost one hour, yes for a cold noodle which can be prepared within just 10 mins at most, I also chased them at least three times while waiting. What’s worse, a couple ordered 20 mins after me got their take away before me, and they ordered fried chicken btw. The unhelpful staffs just kept saying sorry and they are busy, but how come the fried chicken could be ready earlier than the cold noodles? THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND UNACCEPTABLE. It is my first time but also last time trying this restaurant.

Well, we have booked a table for 12 people on 27th December. When we arrived we were told that our ‘reservation’ was not in the books. We showed the restaurant the booking confirmation but the end result was that we could not dine that. It’s a real shame but we surely will not return, this is simply just incapable, no excuses as this is a repeat occurrence.

Love this authentic Korean restaurant. It is always full of Koreans so you know the food is authentic. They offer an affordable lunch special menu which is great with ample portions. It is located on a quiet alley Hanway Place so a nice retreat from the noise and bustle of Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Street. The loos are downstairs just outside the front door.

We ordered the galbi-tang, daegu-tang, kkangpungki and kimchi jeon, and they were all delicious. 😋 한강이 런던 시내에서 갈만한 한식당으로 알려진 이유가 있습니다. 다만 가격이 조금 비싼 게 조금 아쉬웠습니다. 😅

We went with bunch of 10. Food was decent , atmosphere was good until the waiter and the owner decided to ruin it for us. 1 soju is 16 pounds. So when I got 2, they made me pay 36 pounds. And when my mate got 2 sojus, he paid 36 pounds too. So, just for 4 sojus we paid 8 pounds service charge which, I did not mind. We ate and when we had to pay the bill, the service charge was at bloody 87 pounds. We said we do not want to pay it, and the waiters got offended. They asked why we don't want to pay, we gave our reasons. And then they called the manager who had the biggest of attitude. He was very persistent on his believe that service charge is mandatory. Then soon after, the owner came and started being rude as we did not want to pay service charge. As I was explaining, to the manager please, not to show his attitude, the owner slapped my hand and said not to point but I was not pointing. I had my hands up as I was moving it but no way I was pointing. After this, things escalated a bit. Food is decent, no the best korean I have had but service is appalling bro. Service is a -10. Other than that wont really complain.

It's unbelievable, I had a full signal and called the restaurant so many times to make reservations , the clerk hung up on me in seconds saying she couldn't hear me. The restaurant was noisy but blamed it on not being able to hear me? Will not go to this restaurant and anyone reading this review of mine weigh up whether to go or not.

A hidden place for simple and honest Korean cuisine. Now, you can enjoy the more traditional and sophisticated ground floor with fixed BBQ grills, or a more personal, more cosy atmosphere upstairs with little tables and good food. I went up and have a lovely quiet dinner. Bulgogi and Bibimbap were amazing!

Food was good. One of the waitresses assumed that I don’t understand English (the restaurant was noisy so I couldn’t hear very well) & proceeded to act condescendingly. Understand the stress during shifts but there was no need to be rude.

The price is not worth the experience. Very expensive, the bbq (set menu) is not that great. The meat is very dry, everything comes without any salt, sauce or soy sauce. All very bland. Definitely not worth 70£ each.

The price could be accepted. We (two people) ordered many dishes and spent around £80. However, we eat them for two and a half days

Had a really poor experience here. Firstly we had booked a table but was told off when we arrived and they couldn’t find a booking. The lady boss scolded my friend and said that she has many calls and as my friend did not have a booking confirmation it was not valid. (Who knew!) Oddly less than 10 minutes later we got a call from the same lady saying “where are you!!” We still went in as we wanted to try the food and tried to go to our table only to be told it wasn’t ready. After the whole meal, out of the blue we were told we’ve 5 minutes at the table. Now, this wasn’t made clear before we were seated, and the delay caused by them was not taken into account. To top it off, after paying for the meal (no idea why we paid for service) the lady boss said we didn’t pay the bill fully and did not let us leave. Her own worker said he took the bill fully; soo there’s soo much distrust in her own staff. Food wise it was okay. We ordered Dolsot bibimbap, toppoki and bulgogi hotpot. Dolsot is okay Toppoki is on the sweet side Bulgogi hotpot portion for 2 is pretty big but the soup is too sweet for our liking. There was a lot of beef tho Thanks but I won’t return again.

Best Korean Fried Chicken I've had in ages, decently spicy so we had to take a couple of breaks mid meal, but definitely worth it. The batter was crunchy and the chicken cooked to perfection. We forgot to take photos because it was so good and fresh!

Very bad service. Booked a slot at 18:30 and still got us waiting for seats for a while. The food also took long. The clerk was very rude by telling us to leave when we were not even overusing our time. The terrible service still got us charged 12 pounds. People at another table were so loud that my ears hurt. Definitely avoid this place if you’re looking for some good experience.

Don’t go here. I’m sure the top reviews are fake. First thing we noticed when we went in is the dirty walls with white streaks on them. Zero atmosphere. When we were ready to order, staff didn’t ask us about allergies. Food came after 5 minutes (suspicious) and frankly all tasted awful. The restaurant refused to take card payments and insisted we pay the “discretionary” service charge even after I left a cash tip. When we payed by bank transfer, the waiter stood right next to us and could see everything on my banking app. To top it all off, we were charged 50p for the luxury of taking our leftover fried chicken home which was finally in the bin anyway.

Fried chicken 🌟🌟🌟 Definitely recommended especially with the huge portion was worth to share Sam gye tang 🌟🌟🌟 Not much comment but comfort food for sure during the cold weather and it taste kinda authentic. Bibimbap was not bad and there’s vegetarian option available which is great! Kimchi pancake is quite average, not really necessary to order. The service of the waiter was a bit pushy and we were feeling like being rushed in order to finish our food. That’s probably due to his tone but we weren’t really happy and comfortable about it to dine in.

Now reading at the older reviews, it seems like staff being rude and unprofessional is a common theme here. I made a reservation 2 days before but was never told about the 90 minutes only policy. Even on the day, we were not told anything about this. So a waiter comes and tells us its time for us to leave with more than half of the £180 food left on the table. We decided to leave anyways but I confronted the waiter. He said next time something something but there is not going to be next time for us there and I would discourage people from going there too. Food was okay but the service ruined everything.

Great authentic Korean food. Great variety of dishes. But they could make side dishes a little cheaper. I mean Samgyeopsal is supposed to be eating with sauce, rice, wrapped in lettuce. But you have to pay extra for every side dish. 4 pounds for 6 leaves of lettuce is a little over the top. Service was confusing. They didn't really respond to questions... Just nodded and went on there way. Looked very unorganized. Flavours were great though.

The attitude of the Korean waiter on the second floor was very rude, and he told me that there would be an additional charge for some basic requests, because his service made the memory of the meal not good.

The service is terrible. In this restaurant, you are only allowed to eat for 90 minutes. If you exceed this limit, the staff will ask you to leave, even if there are still available tables. One particular middle-aged staff member was exceptionally rude. She claimed, "Come on, this London. All London restaurants follow this rule.” Was this true? She further lied, stating that we had been informed of this rule during booking and again upon seating. Neither of these claims was true. When confronted, she tried to place the blame on another staff member and only offered a 30-minute extension, which was also not acceptable to us. When we asked for an extra hour, she flatly denied us. This was my second visit, and during my first, I was never asked to leave after 90 minutes. This same staff member tried to defend her position by saying that only ground floor customers had a 90-minute limit. We suggested to move to the first floor but then claimed it was fully booked. Yet, just minutes later, she seated two walk-in customers there in the first floor. Clearly, another lie. We were seated in the front of entrance, so we can hear their conversation clearly. Even after all this, there remained two empty tables next to us for over 30 minutes. In summary, the restaurant should clearly state in their booking confirmation text: "Please note: guests are ONLY allowed a maximum of 90 minutes at their table; after this, you will be asked to leave without further notice."

I don't think this was a comfortable experience. The website didn't say anything about needing to make a appointment in advance, so we just walked in. We waited for a while without being led to a table by a server, and the chef just glanced at us. So my friend and I sat down at an empty table nearby. Then a server came over and asked us very coldly if we had a appointment. We said no, and then he just took us outside and left us there. We were very very confused.

我在Google Map上看到了这家韩国料理店的不错评价，但是实际用餐经历让我非常失望。首先，服务糟糕透顶。店员态度极其冷淡，完全没有热情。我们等了很久都没有人来迎接，预定了时间也需要在外等待。其次，餐厅环境幽暗，显得压抑，阅读菜单困难。菜品油腻，缺乏韩国风味， 尤其是海鲜面，味道非常一般。餐厅嘈杂吵闹，影响用餐体验。预订后仍需长时间等待，很不尊重客户。总体来说，这次用餐让我失望，不推荐这家韩国料理店，4份非常普通的菜品需要80英镑，甚至不知道他们有什么理由为如此糟糕的服务收取10英镑的服务费，希望大家远离这家店

Went there for a work celebration. The staff were incredible, meeting our every need and going above and beyond. The food was also amazing.

They are too rude. I’ve seen restaurant boss like that!

Honestly one of my favourite Korean restaurants in London. Amazing food nice staff and good atmosphere what more can you ask for. (update been a few more times since still amazing food overall but the last 2 times the bulgogi had been a big soggy and tasteless, the fried chicken is still some of the best you'll find around)

To be fair: the food is good. But there’s a huge caveat: the service was so bad that it ruined the meal and my night. We asked for more sauce for our chicken as the amount was incredibly stingy for how much chicken they give. Instead of simply giving us more sauce (which I said I would be willing to pay for) we were told that their policy made it “impossible” to refill any sauce. The situation was genuinely ludicrous as such a small and normal gesture would have meant we bought both more soju and more food. Instead it caused an argument about the removal of the service charge for the shoddy service. Would avoid this place of you want a good restaurant experience!

Tasty meal, nice selection of food which was fresh and served as generous portions. BBQ at table. The Crispy fried chicken was fantastic 😋.

Fried chicken is nice(I like the sweet n spicy flavour). Pork backbone soup is a must order, it’s super nice and really like the potatoes inside.

I’ve been to many Korean restaurants in london and this place is by far the worst. I don’t often write reviews but this place I do not recommend. The two Korean guy waiters are very rude and not attentive but reminding us every half hour to leave. Their “special” dish fried chicken for £23 was the most bland and dry thing ever. Seafood pancake flavourless and noodles were very basic. Only thing we liked was the tukboki rice cake. Overpriced Korean food does not match the poor quality of their food. Don’t waste your money or time here. ✌🏼

Restaurant typique coréen. La serveuse nous a très bien conseillé dans les plats. C'était délicieux !
