Quite good food but it was let down by slightly slow service and slightly austere waiters. Due to the layout of the restaurant it isn't always easy to get their attention. Average price but I wouldn't rush back due to service.

Ambiente agradable, mucha gente, interior luminoso. Ensalada de pollo escalfados mi coco no era un ganador. El cohete era flojo y seco, el 4 rebanadas de pollo seco también. La composición de la placa parecía algo como de un principio escuela cocinar para adolescentes. No sabroso.

Read some very good reviews about this restaurant... but were slightly disappointed. Bottle of wine was reasonably priced and good. Very extensive drinks menu compared to a rather limited food menu! Starter was too salty for me (tiger prawn and chorizo scotch egg) and my friend's venison carpaccio was too cooked and not what we would expect for a carpaccio. The steamed dumpling of Scottish lobster, scallops and cod was weirdly presented and was bland. Mains were better but my friend's side order never appeared before we finished our main course... I had the buckwheat crepe with smoked avocado ratatouille - failed to find any avocado flavour and although it was nice, cannot comprehend why it was so pricey. Duck was nicely cooked and so was the pork belly. The whole meal was over 40 pounds per person... hopefully will be better next time we come!

It was the second time I went to Kopapa. I am never sure of what influence the food is from but what matters is that it is good. Highlight of my meal was the chilli choc fondant. The soup was good but could have done with more wild garlic. The seared tuna was a bit too cooked but very enjoyable. Service was very good and it was not too noisy.

We ordered the pre theatre menu, main course and dessert. The lamb was greasy, the vegetable chips were horrible( the oil used to cook them needed to be changed I think). The rosemary and garlic fries were ordinary chips with a flavoured salt. Desserts were average. Service was rushed; plates being cleared before all diners had finished for example. I had heartburn all evening. Won't be returning.

We popped in here a couple of weekend's ago quite by chance as we were seeing a matinee of Matilda across the road and hadn't had any lunch. We were able to get a table for 2 instantly and settled in for a really nice brunch. We both had a zingy freshly pressed juice and I had the Turkish Eggs as it looked really different and interesting. My husband had the chorizo hash with poached eggs. Both were really delicious. The Turkish Eggs were so different to anything I had eaten before- it was a real pleasure. The flavour of the yogurt, eggs and chilli was just beautiful and the bread was a lovely accompaniment. Thoroughly recommend. I'd like to go back and try the French Toast as that looked very yummy too.

We were there with friends for dinner and decided to ordered loads of dishes to share - felt like we were at Nopi, it was a great way to try most of the menu. The steamed lobster and scallop plate was delicious but I'm not sure serving it as they did - it was a pale pinkish sausage - was a great idea. Also the tiger prawn and chorizo scotch egg was incredible, but not all that appealing to look at (though I appreciate it's hard to make a scotch egg look anything other than like a scotch egg). On the dessert menu, I'd definitely say the chocolate fondant was the star. I'm not sure the coconot crumble worked. I love coconut but didn't finish it (v unusual) - the green tea sorbet was a bit heavy and odd. Would definitely go again.

WE went to eat before a Theater visit and they had a pre- Theater dinner with 3 courses to choose from. The Avocado potato soup was outstanding in taste and texture , a pure delight. Our main courses, fish and lamb just devine and totally recommendable. Kopapa had been on my dining hit list for a while so when I was looking for a good value meal in Covent Garden I jumped at the chance to try out their pre-theatre menu. We had two courses each - the squid and the chorizo for starters and then we both had the lamb for our main. The food was seasoned well and had fantastic flavours and the wine was a hit with both of us. The desserts didnt appeal greatly to us so we left it at 2 courses feeling satisfied and relaxed after having a very enjoyable meal. Service was polite and friendly.

We slipped into here for some dinner and later wish we hadn't. Ordered a plate of baba ganoush served with a burnt naan bread, tasteless..that's quite a feat! I ordered the £23 rump and my partner ordered the £16 salmon salad. Okay the food arrives and mixed emotions too. Mine is actually pretty tasty but is a minute portion eaten in two minutes. It was almost fine dining standard but there you need to have the 5 small rich courses to make a meal. This was not anywhere substantial enough for dinner and not for that price. The Salmon salad was basically half an ounce of salmon spread around as best as possible on half a pound of rocket. A few beans, a cherry tomato or two and three slices of radish. We'd been ripped off! She left the half pound of rocket by the way. Okay we complained but the waitress (not her fault) just shrugged it off. We paid and left. Avoid! I think the most damning thing we can say is that we then hunted down another restaurant and had another meal 10 minutes after leaving. Great pizza and dessert that time.

Location is great, just off seven dials in Covent Garden. It's a little like walking into a slightly posh canteen in style, but not a bad thing. Tables all set in rows, exposed brick work, slight school feel grey chairs, but a comfortable atmosphere. The mezze sharing platter was very nice, although I'm not totally sure it's region, but that's just because I didn't order and see the menu. It consisted of olives, spiced nuts, cheese, bread, green chillies and artichokes. It was all very good though, but felt a little like a mish mash of food. That said, it was all finished! We had pork belly and potatoes which was lovely. The pork belly was crispy and chewy and perfectly cooked, it was very filling and really tasty. It came with a potato rosti of some sort which was divine. The garlic and oyster mushrooms were a great accompaniment, very nice.We had cocktails, which were lovely, if not (like London) a little stingy. Too much ice in one and not filled in a martini glass in another, which made us feel slightly robbed. Tasty though.Team were polite and made us feel welcome. A nice visit and we came away feeling very full.

Came here with friends for brunch, the restaurant was busy and quite cramped but the way it's laid out seems to give you a false sense of space. The food is different but not as adventurous as other places in London if you are after something to suit everyone. We ordered the chorizo hash, which was amazing and the banana French toast which again was nice, if not a little sickly after a while. The food plus a decent 'proper' coffee was £13pp, which is pricey but not too bad considering the location. The staff are informative and friendly, overall I would say it was a good experience.

We rocked up circa 7.30pm as booked and promptly received menus and drinks, I opted for a starter of a tempura spiced dhal Imari pocket, colleagues opted for tiger prawn and chorizo scotch egg. All arrived in good time and tasted superb...the Inari pocket is a substantial plate for a starter which I did not complete but flavours were excellent. We all opted for burgers as a main. Not so...this was a great plate...smoked chili miso relish, garlic alioli, emmental, bacon with fries...fantastic!Good wine with craft beers up front, service very attentive throughout, excellent attention to detail with a smile. We booked breakfast there last Friday. I had heard great things about the place and booked in for a special occasion. The wait staff on that morning were not particularly competent. When we arrived there was only one other table occupied. Our order was messed up twice, the waitress rolled her eyes when we called her to the table to ask for butter for our toast. (It did beg the question why didn't they provide butter for toast, not sure that request is worth an eye roll). The food however though reasonably pricey was excellent. Perhaps we caught the staff on a bad day as most of these reviews were positive from that aspect but London is a competitive market and I am less likely to return when better service is provided elsewhere.

My husband and I made the fatal mistake of thinking it would be easy to find somewhere to dive in to eat on Friday night in London. We walked in here on the off chance and the Australian host could not have been nicer. He fit us in despite the place being obviously fit to burst. Our wine came quickly but we were then asked, very politely and apologetically and with the wine paid for as an apology, if we would mind eating at the bar. We really didn't but we were impressed at being treated so well in a busy restaurant in London where we hadn't booked - we were being moved to accomodate a booking so their determination to keep everyone happy was admirable. We ordered small bites to share and the food was absolutely brilliant. Crispy goats cheese and a filo brick were both well cooked and incredibly tasty. There was a bit of a delay in the second plate - and then the wrong second plate came but was quickly replaced by the most amazing lobster dumpling I think I will ever eat. The aesthetic was... interesting, but we both sat at Dinner by Heston the following night, lamenting the fact that nothing we had there compared the dumpling here. All the staff were lovely and clearly doing their best under a lot of pressure. I am definitely going back here next Saturday on our next trip up.

The flavours in all the meals were adventurous and really greatl. However out of the 5 of us eating only two of us had a course which didnt have something letting it down. The vegetarian options on the dinner menu are amazing, both the dhal tempura pocket and pancakes were great. The other things we ate however left a lot to be desired. In particular, the burger was full of gristle, the artichoke soup was so salty it was verging on inedible (and I love salt), the sorbet had crystallised and the chips were soggy. This isn't an expensive restaurant, but it isn't cheap. For the price you wouldn't expect such fundamental errors in execution. A real shame as the flavours underneath were great.

Chose this restaurant as we were entertaining friends pre theatre and wanted a Saturday brunch. The reviews were positive so we decided to give it a go. Decor is more cafe than restaurant and the tables were close together. Very noisy when we were there but the main problem was the quality of the food we were served. All of us had some form of poached eggs which were all over cooked with solid yolks. My salmon on toast with spinach and eggs was not only served lukewarm with hard yolks to the eggs but the spinach was watery. The only enjoyable part was the nice bread used for the toast and the orchard cocktail I had. Service was brisk but inconsistent. A restaurant of this size should be able to serve hot food especially eggs which had clearly been keeping warm for sometime.

We chose the restaurant because we were entertaining friends before an early theatre trip so had to have brunch rather than a lunch somewhere. As this restaurant does brunch every day we thought that it would be well versed in the art of a good egg selection. We were told when we booked the table was only for 90 mins, which is fine, but just note they do stick to this and come and give you your bill on the dot! The Turkish Eggs were a bit too buttery/oily for me, and I ended up fishing out the eggs. Also, it is quite expensive - a side of half an avocado was about £3 which on top of a £9.50 Turkish Eggs (which is really just 2 pieces of toast, 2 eggs and some yoghurt) I felt is probably slightly OTT. However, service was v good and good atmosphere.

The time came and went and we were offered different menu with different desserts, we mentioned that we were specifically waiting for doughnuts , we were informed that there were none left at all and they had ran out over an hour ago. This was disappointing and annoying as we'd waited so long, manager was apologetic and deducted our drinks from our bill for the inconvenience which was nice but it would be better for them to be clear about what is available to order and at what time !

Excellent food! Great experience! Softer light in the restaurant would make it perfect for a romantic dinner ;)

I generally love this place but a couple of dishes let them down this visit. The seafood dumpling was watery and lacked flavour. The lamb in the spring roll was a bit dry. But the pork belly was excellent as was the baileys cheesecake.

Chose Kopapa for a pre theatre dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the food. I only had time for a main course but the portion size and quality of the food was very good. The food is also inventive and combines some interesting flavors and ideas. I recommended the restaurant to my daughter who visited the week after and she also enjoyed it too.

Popped in for lunch with my mother...Pros:Varied and interesting menu, all very tempting and difficult to choose from!Delicious open pulled beef brisket sandwich with horseradishScrumptious accompanying greensLovely homemade lemonadeAccommodated nut allergy with ease and no fussCons:Sorbet felt like it had melted and refrozen, although the flavour was lovely and unusualOverall: I'd go again for lunch, there's more on the menu I'd like to try!

Had a great meal with friends at Kopapa. Particularly recommended for the creative and satisfying vegetarian options!

It is all about the Turkish Eggs at Kopapa. Delicious, spicy and creamy. Practically every table had a portion of this on their table. Perfect for brunch. Will be returning. Specifically for the eggs.

Levendig restaurant maar met een diverse kaart met betaalbare gerechten. Zelfs zonder gang naar het theater is het er goed verblijven en bediening zeer attent.

The menu is great I went with high expectations I was astonished at how bad the food was. The salad bases for most dishes tasted as if they had been prepared for hours. The flat breads were tasteless and flabby, baba ganoush again tasteless, artichokes and pimentos looked and tasted as if they had been picked out of a jar, the lobster dumpling looked and tasted repellent...I could go on. I suggest the chefs go to Moro and Ottolenghi if they want to know how to prepare food like this with fresh ingredients and with good flavours.

Love love this restaurant, food is amazing, a huge variety of options ranging from salads to burgers and anything in between. Personally i am in love with the turkish eggs, but they do amazing chorizo hash browns too and smoothies. Food is my main thing with this place... decor is okay, location is bang in the middle of covent garden but definitely come here for the food. and try their sister restaurant too in marylebone- the providores, also amazing!

We decided to try Kopapa as it had different type of menu. We didn't have to wait as it was early evening but it was getting busier by the time we left. The staff are attentive with more than one asking and taking our orders. The food was very good and tasty especially the seared tuna on a noodle rosti. The down side is that the tables are not particularly big and they are squeezed in together so you are right next to each other.

I imagine Kopapa used to be better than this. It has the feeling of somewhere with good ideas that have just been left in the wrong hands. They must be cutting corners on the quality of the ingredients and I don't think they've picked the right chefs to create their interesting dishes to a high enough quality. I have a feeling that the location, the sound of the menu and the initial impression guarantees they'll always be busy, so they've become slack in their delivery. The prices are way to high for average versions of interesting dishes.

Visited Kopapa pre theatre and enjoyed their set menu (even though they didn't have what I wanted :() - good service, nice buzz. Wine a bit pricey based on quality. Nice cocktails too!

A great kiwi cafe in seven dials. The coffee is top notch and the salmon and eggs breakfast was scrumptious. I want to come back and try the Turkish eggs. The only down side is that they squeeze you in so tight at the back!

A mouthwatering supper to round off an evening at the theatre - fabulous flavours and something to suit everyone in a group of 15-57 year olds. Kopapa is already a firm favourite in our family - and we'll keep spreading the word.

Had been recommended Kopapa by a friend for pre-theatre dinner and had high hopes. Menu appeared to live up to expectations on paper, it was innovative (tempura dahl) and seemed to embody some great taste combinations. Unfortunately the reality was that turned out to be slightly 'samey' with quite similar flavours and textures that meant we felt uncomfortably full afterwards and not overly impressed. Service was also lacking, the pre-theatre menu had been printed wrong and was therefore misleading... and we had to ask multiple times for several parts of our course - not what you would expect from a place like this. That being said, was overall an enjoyable experience.

We had a great value for money two course meal from the set menu for dinner. The menu was limited but everything we had was delicious. I had the crab followed by the cod. The ambience could be slightly more cosy but apart from that a great dining experience.

This was our third visit, twice for breakfast and once in the evening. The menus are creative and the staff are very friendly. If you like something a bit more original than elsewhere then this is the place to come. The turkish eggs are amazing!

We stayed in a nearby hotel and this was the first place we stumbled across when looking for brunch. We were lucky enough to get a table without waiting the first time we ate here. The chorizo hash was a great spicy start to the day and certainly had a kick to it.Our brunch was so good that we returned the next day. We should have booked but took a chance, we were happy to wait for an hour when the food is this good. I can definitely recommend the hot smoked salmon with the unusual tangy yuzo hollandaise.

It's challenging in London using this rating as having been to quite a few places now it makes you more aware. That said this was a classically good breakfast avo and toast as ever simple. Coffee looked lovely whilst I had a mint tea. This place came well recommended so if in the area it's worth a visit but I think overall better places exist in Ldn

We had the two course for £18.95 meal which was very good value for the food we recorded. All dishes were well presented and very tasty. I had the crab cake followed by the cod, which was delicious. This is an all day restaurant so slightly lacked a cosy dinnertime atmosphere, but we still has a lovey time.

The food was good! But the atmosphere got ruined by the staff that seemed so "sad".... They never smiled and seemed tired and fed up! We were lucky to have a young Australia man to serve our table, he was the only one that smiled and was friendly!

My sister and I met to celebrate the birthday of another sister (sadly not present as she lives up north, otherwise I am certain she too would have enjoyed a Twinkle cocktail to accompany her breakfast!). The Turkish eggs were lovely if you like eggs, yoghurt and chilli oil which I do and the avocado with goats cheese with mint and lemon good though the goats cheese more of a garnish than an actual part of the dish (there wasn't much of it). I did think £3.50 for 1.5 roasted tomatoes was steep so won't be ordering those again. The people next to us had the veggie breakfast which looked good too. Service really pleasant and St that time of the day the noise level bearable.

Was in the area walking back to the station after the theatre and stopped in for deserts and coffee. Liked the look of the menu so much we opted for main courses and cocktails which we very much enjoyed. A pleasant find and will be going back there again i'm sure.

Rene was great throughout the night. He came over to our table a number of times to top-up our drinks and treated us very well. The atmosphere is classy and elegant, all the staff have a smile on their face. The food is great - a little pricey - with a dedicated vegan menu. Highly recommend.
