Isn’t it hard to decide where to take your date for Valentine’s Day? Well I went here, and it was fantastic! The food was so good, the restaurant was beautiful and the service was tip top. We had a live dj, the restaurant was buzzing, food came very promptly, everyone looked like they were having a great time.

Service was awesome - made my 13 year old feel very special (birthday / valentines meal)

Overall great experience, great food and fantastic service with people always looking out to make your experience the best possible.. Just found that the music was way too loud, some of the dishes were average for a top of range menu, and we waited a very long time overall.. So good experience, but I am sure you can do better for the price

Fantastic place with delicious food and a great vibe. The atmosphere has a lively, pre-party feel with upbeat music, perfect for a night out, often too loud for a business meeting. The set menu changes from time to time, and we did miss the crispy shredded beef this time around. It is on the pricier side, and the service isn’t always perfect, but the flavours definitely make up for it. Overall, it's a great spot to enjoy high-quality food and a vibrant experience.

Hemos estado yendo a Hakkasan durante años y siempre lo disfrutamos como un placer. Sin embargo, nuestra visita el 2 de febrero para el Año Nuevo Chino (CNY) fue decepcionante. La primera señal de alerta fue lo vacío que estaba el restaurante, especialmente cuando todos los demás restaurantes chinos en Londres estaban llenos. En años anteriores, hicieron un verdadero esfuerzo con las decoraciones de CNY, pero esta vez, se sintió como si hubieran cortado esquinas. El menú era notablemente más pequeño, con muchos de nuestros platos favoritos desaparecidos. A pesar de los altos precios, que esperábamos para CNY, seguimos adelante y pedimos. Desafortunadamente, fue entonces cuando las cosas comenzaron a ir cuesta abajo. El pato de Pekín, con un precio de un ojo - regando £ 130 , no era mejor que lo que obtendrías en un restaurante cantonés local, y la porción que recibimos se sentía como robo a la luz del día. Parecía que guardaban una porción significativa de la carne para otros platos. Sospechosamente, insistieron en cortar el pato en la cocina en lugar de en la mesa, que anteriormente era el estándar. I booked Taste of Hakkasan - 3 Course Menu and Champagne experience but when I arrived on a Sunday after 9pm I was told that option was not available, contrary to what it said on the booking. Very disappointing.

Always a great meal here. The food is top drawer, service excellent and the ambiance is great. We will keep coming back for more

Having read reviews which mentioned the steps down to this restaurant, when we arrived we requested the lift. We were graciously escorted to down to the restaurant, coats taken and seated. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, without being intrusive. Drinks arrived promptly and our order taken. We ordered separate meals as we were drawn to different section of the menu. My soft shell crab was stunning and followed by a serve of duck with was very large and delicious. My companion had a soup and stir fried beef which she enjoyed very much. We only visit London every two years or so, but this restaurant will definitely be on our to do list for our next visit.

I have visited it once and I would definitely go again!! Very polite staff and a wonderful space. We tried the following: Crispy beancurd salad with chili plum lemongrass dressing Wagyu beef Shanghai dumpling Steamed Chilean sea bass Spicy prawns Wok-fried Yorkshire Wagyu beef ho fun noodles Everything was amazing, with fantastic flavors, and the spicy prawns are the best you’ll ever taste. It’s definitely worth a visit.

I benefited from the “The Devil Wears Prada” package which includes cocktail + starter + main course + dessert for 58GBP + significant discount on the purchase of tickets for the show. The value for money is exceptional. As for the restaurant: everything was perfect, the service and the charming and warm welcome, the tasty and original dishes, the “trendy” atmosphere.

Great atmosphere and attentive staff. However some of the food left a lot to be desired considering we paid £200 per head. In particular, the largest sharing plate of our tasting menu, was extremely oily and overwhelmingly large (I don't remember the name but effectively a large amount of fried battered fish). To reiterate, nothing about this experience was bad, most of it was really good. But when spending 3x times more than you would in many already high quality restaurants in London, I was expecting perfection, which this definitely was not

Had an amazing New Year’s Eve dinner at Hakkasan! The food was packed with flavor, and the drinks were just perfect. Definitely a night to remember. Highly recommend it for a special occasion! 5 stars!. Well done team hakkasan

Had a wonderful evening. Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff and above all fantastic food! We opted for the brunch deal including champagne, 5 courses and a cocktail beforehand. Enjoyed!

Delicious food - the best Chinese we have had in the UK. Great setting and logging with a welcoming scent of Jasmine as we walk down the stairs to the restaurant. We will come back for a long and luxuries brunch next time to sample the various dishes. Beautifully presents, delicious test.

An underwhelming experience. The basement setting with low ceiling is not the best. Slightly claustrophobic and the tables are too close together. The food was not really to our liking and very expensive. Service was excellent. The high noise level from customers spoilt the atmosphere. Not recommended.

This is an amazing Michelin star restaurant. The food, service and ambience are top class. We enjoyed my birthday celebration with the family. The set menu was fantastic and totally worth the money spent. It is pricey though but to be expected with such a restaurant.

Back to Hakkasan after a long time and it didn’t disappoint. I’d forgotten how good the service and food is in this and the sister restaurant. The very dim lighting used to create a shield ambiance can be off putting for some people but I like it, it really works well with the decor.

We went Saturday night and it was absolutely rammed, our waiter Valerio said he would have our food out asap - it was slower than I have experienced before, but tbf he did warn us and it was packed, and we weren't in any hurry. The food was well worth the wait we ate it all. There were 4 of us, starter was Iberico Pork (melt in mouth) Wagyu beef shanghai dumplings and we had Dim Sum and Vegan Dim Sum. I think the main problem with the starters is they were all so fab I was worried I wouldn't have room for dinner! Mains were Beef short rib (my favourite) Venison, chicken satay, plant based chicken and sugar snap, hakka noodles, egg fried rice and asparagus. The portion sizes are good. Yes it is very expensive, but a restaurant like this is a treat rather than an everyday event (well it is for me anyway, some of you might be richer ;) ) Go for a treat or special occasion for definite memories.

Lovely dark sophisticated restaurant. Little bit difficult to see the menu and food. Kept having to put my phone light on !! Food was lovely. A little too much seafood on menu for me. I don’t eat seafood. But the satay chicken and duck salad was amazing. A little loud music from DJ but gave a nice vibe. We sat at bar afterwards. Had the best Moscow mule I’ve ever had. Great friendly bar staff. Only one gripe. One waiter at our table was little keen to take away our food before we’d finished it. Apart from that, it. Was a good evening. Would definitely go back.

Definitely the management needs to do something about it. I have been going to H since early 2000s - many, many times. I know the menu by heart. And I haven’t been to Hanway Place branch for probably 4-5 years because I live in Mayfair and go there all the time. So when I went there yesterday with friends who booked it by mistake I was very, very disappointed. Specifics? - crispy duck salad was soggy - dim sum overcooked - hot and sour soup average - spicy prawn cold - even waiters seemed not of the class that used to be - slow, not a single change of plates, What makes H special are all the details that still VERY present in the Mayfair branch. Thank God my friends visited H for the first time and could not see the difference and enjoyed it anyway. I kept my mouth shut and promised myself to write the review that I do not often do. Sorry but you need to fix it guys.

Hakkasan never disappoints! We have now been to 4 Hakkasans worldwide and have had a consistently enjoyable meal each time. The ambiance and decore are uniform at all locations, which gives the restaurant a nice touch. The location for the restaurant feels a bit odd. It's in the corner of an alley with nothing else. We went at 530 pm, leaving at 7 pm and it was empty, felt creepy. Our go-to and must order dish is the vegan dim sum! We love it every time. There are a total of 8 pieces, 4 varieties, and 2 of each, perfect for sharing. We also ordered the vegetarian spring rolls, which are perfectly crispy and filled with veggies. We ordered two mains to share, the tofu eggplant and Hakka noodles. The portions were perfect for two people to share. The eggplant is so tender it melts in your mouth. We were pleasantly surprised with how much tofu they give you in the dish (which is rare). Pairing the Hakka noodles with the tofu dish was a great balance of getting in the carbs with protein. The servers and manager are very attentive and check on you often. We had noted a birthday celebration and they even presented us with a complimentary birthday dessert. Our server even sang happy bday to us. It was a really nice touch.

This was our first time at Hakkasan, it was somewhere we’ve wanted to try for a while. Had the brunch menu, which was really nice and seemed decent value considering it came with drinks included (champagne and a cocktail). When we first arrived, the first waiter that provided our menus was quite brusque and not particularly friendly, which was off-putting, but fortunately he disappeared after placing our order, and all the other staff we dealt with after that were brilliant and much friendlier. The food was good, particularly the duck salad starter and the dim sum, and portion sizes were good. Unfortunately one of the waiters accidentally served the remains of our champagne to another table. Not sure if they were going to rectify it, but they topped up our glasses when we mentioned it. Overall, it was a nice place and nice experience, not amazing, but good. Due to the prices they charge, your expectations are higher than for the average restaurant.

The food was amazing. The chefs did a fantastic job. The service was poor. We arrived on time (7.30) as a party of 6. It took 30 mins to take our order.m with only water to drink. Our cocktails, meant for before food and during starter turn up with the mains. Then 15 mins after our mains arrived we were told our 2 hours was up and they had the next guests waiting. This was something of a surprise. They said they had let us know of the time limit during the booking and I checked - they were right but it was buried in the small print at the very bottom of the email that almost no-one reads. We were allowed to finish our food but felt like we were being hurried along. We had no option for pudding. To add insult to injury, they then added a 15% service to our £1000 bill. £150 for how poorly we were served is outrageous. It’s hard to know whether I’d recommend this place. The food is wonderful if a little expensive. Maybe go for the 8.30/9pm sitting to minimise chance of being pushed out of the restaurant during your main course.

I visit Hakkasan a lot, this time fell short. I booked the pre theatre set menu for £49 per person, mainly because we had 1.5 hours before a show. Despite an early booking the ambience was great but, I’d not book a set menu again. The menu options listed were fine, some of our favourites from the Al a carte were on there which was great, however, the portions were half the size of the same options from the Al a carte menu. This was embarrassing, it meant partner left hungry.

For my wife’s birthday, we decided to celebrate at Hakkasan Hanway Place. With our 6-month-old baby in tow, I anticipated it might be a challenging experience—but the staff, particularly Maura and Valmir, made it not only seamless but truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, Maura’s attentive service set the tone for the evening. Understanding we had a baby with us, she ensured we were seated in a private booth area with a sofa bench. This setup was ideal, providing space for our baby to relax comfortably. She walked us through the entire menu with incredible patience, respecting our strict vegetarian preferences (no eggs or fish). When our baby needed a quick diaper change, Maura kindly directed us to the baby changing facility, ensuring we knew exactly where to go. At one point during the meal, our baby’s toy fell on the floor, and Maura graciously took it to clean and sanitize it for us. She was also consistently checking in to see if we needed anything, whether for the baby or ourselves. Her kindness and professionalism made a world of difference—we cannot recommend her enough! Valmir also contributed greatly to our experience by helping us select our mains. He was professional, knowledgeable, and took great care in suggesting dishes that suited our preferences. His passion for the menu was evident, and every recommendation he made was spot on. Hakkasan exceeded all our expectations. The exceptional service from Maura and Valmir, coupled with the outstanding vegetarian options, made this birthday celebration unforgettable. We would absolutely return—both for the incredible food and the service.

Feels a bit pretentious. The food was mediocre and overpriced. It was so dark you could barely see anything. The service was superb though.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hakkasan Hanway Place as part of their pre-theatre menu offering for The Devil Wears Prada. As always, the food was exceptional. The set menu offered great value, especially with a cocktail included. While the Ribeye in Merlot was delicious, it was a slightly smaller portion than I expected. Nonetheless, it was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service, as always, was impeccable — attentive, friendly, and professional. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely, making it the ideal spot for a pre-show meal. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, service, and value in central London.

Visited this hyped up restaurant this week with my wife. We were very much looking forward to trying out a high-end Chinese restaurant in our visit to London, but it was thoroughly disappointing. In fact, it was our worst restaurant during our stay. We choose one of the tasting menus. The one priced at 110 pounds is supposedly on the lower end. But, even with that, the overall bill was 200 pounds per person. We live in California, and are pretty used to paying these bills, so don't get me wrong. But, this one was not worth it at all. The ambiance is nice. Too dark for my taste, but it is a basement, and it is supposed to be a bit "underground", I guess. That being said, the restaurant is huge, and highly impersonal I'd say. Also, the service, while upscale, was, again, very impersonal and awkward at times. The somelier was nice, particularly when she saw that I was ordering Coravin by the glass. The good was just meh. The best dish was the crispy duck salad. It is pretty telling when the best of a tasting menu is the salad. The dim sum was a bit all over the place, with some being pretty good, and others mediocre. The signature duck with truffle was just ok. I have had much better Chinese duck. And so on. Again, if the price would have been half of what we paid, I would give them a pass, but this was definitely not worth it.

Beautiful food in a beautiful setting only spoiled by the booming music.

The BBQ Pork Chi Siu is so tough. The texture like the meat being used for boiling soup. Dim sum is creative but not an improvement at all. The basic skill does not meet the requirement. Har gau is too dry and over steam, no bamboo shoot inside.

Went to have the amazing smoky negroni drink! I also tried different other cocktails and i was surprisingly impressed on the good quality and service. The bartender was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere really fancy and glamorous. It’s pricey but hey if you want to have good drinks, it’s worth every penny!

Great experience - service is exceptional and food is top drawer. I would recommend going for a la carte and getting the non-veggie dim sum to share between two, the soft shell crab, the peppered beef, jasmine rice and hakka noodles. Perfect order for two people and good value all things considered.

What a shame to see how this once great restaurant has bought in to its own hype and self belief. Still a great setting, good ambience and the food was indeed good. That is however totally over shadowed by below average service and astronomical pricing that is simply not justified. Point in case is the Peeking Whole duck, this is priced at £130 and sold as a whole duck. There is absolutely no way they provide you with anywhere near what you have bought. Yes, a whole duck is presented to yo at the table, it is then taken away and you are served a fraction of what you might expect to receive. I raised this direct with the staff and was given an incredibly rehearsed and practised, patronising answer about how big boned ducks are and how little meat is on them! Well, I am very familiar with ducks, duck meat and what I might expect in return for a 'whole duck' at £130 and what they delivered is no where near that. Incidentally they also sell a duck salad, I am quite sure that the meat that goes in that comes from the 'Whole Ducks' they sell to gullible customers like me. I am actually going report this to trading standards as I am so incensed by what is a blatant rip off. Food good, setting good. Service poor and value for money absolutely non existent.

Amazing service and beautiful vibing venue, we had lunch / dinner there at 5pm and it was quite busy. Tasty food, though one thing they didn’t do a great job of was keeping the food warm. The noodles were already a bit cold when the came to the table and only the first piece of lamb was nice and hot and the food immediately cooled down. I do love my hot food served hot and thought this is an area where they could improve. It was quite cold in the restaurant and I’m pregnant and running warm so perhaps this also contributed to the warm food getting quite cold quickly

Locale alla moda, luci soffuse, ambiente carino ma…..costa veramente troppo per tutta l’esperienza e la ialina. Servizio discreto ma non all’altezza, idem lo spazio del tavolo che sembra più per un caffè. Quasi 200 sterline a testa con una bottiglia di vino da 75 sterline non ha molto senso. Ravioli cinesi ok, buono il cod…ma una porzione piccola… il menù scelto era quello da 90 sterline ma sarà che Londra ha tanti posti con prezzi senza controllo….. Purtroppo non mi sento di consigliarlo.

It's been a little while, since i visited, but wanted to share my experience after all. On my first visit to this restaurant, I was truly impressed by the food. Opting for the vegetarian menu, I found the flavors to be masterfully crafted, with each dish offering a refined balance of taste. The dim sum, in particular, was a standout—visually striking and varied, with vibrant, nuanced flavors that matched its appearance. Also the main dish brought about excitment, with well balanced flavors and great combinations. The cocktails and non-alcoholic fruit drinks were equally delightful, showcasing a commitment to quality. However, the service was a major letdown. The staff displayed a level of indifference that bordered on rude, which detracted from the overall experience. Hospitality should match the quality of the cuisine, but it fell shockingly short. Returning for a second visit with guests, I was disappointed to find that the food didn’t live up to my initial experience. The dishes lacked the finesse I had enjoyed before, with flavors that felt flat. Consistency is paramount, and unfortunately, it was nowhere to be found this time around. What started as a promising experience ended in disappointment. Overall it's tough to give a proper rating, but considering all I will give it a low 4 Stars - almost soley based on the food of my first visit.

This is my favourite Fusion Chinese restaurant by far. The taster menus are exquisite, especially the Pearl ensemble. I loved every morsel of the culinary journey that showcases the restaurant’s ability to blend traditional Cantonese flavors with modern dining sensibilities. Each course is crafted with care, offering a well-rounded and satisfying experience. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply indulging in a treat night, Hakkasan should be high up on your list.

As usual Hakkasan Mayfair delivered a wonderful experience. Food has been consistent and delicious. The service was flawless and our waitress Helena was amazing, my wife and I enjoyed her attentive and friendliness. She is an asset to Hakkasan and really elevated our experience.

Wow, what an experience! Don't be fooled by the location which could be better - once you walk into the restaurant you will be a world away from the streets of London. Atmosphere was perfect and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Very knowledgeable about their menu and always on hand to make your dining experience amazing. And the food - wow! Amazing!! We had one of the set menus and we were not disappointed. A selection of starters which all tasted great (especially the crispy duck salad), a selection of dishes for the main which again were wonderfully tasty and the desert was topped off with dry ice which was a spectacle. This wasn't just a meal out, this was an experience. It's not cheap but for a special occasion I would thoroughly recommend!

Amazing experience. Our waiter was amazing and explained everything to us. The restaurant were also kind enough to provide a happy anniversary cake for us- lovely touch.
