The best restaurants serving Asian food in England

Fantastic food and even better staff. Friendly service even at end of opening hours for last minute meal. Ellis was especially helpful, friendly and professional in manner. Why don’t we get this kind of service in London branches. Can’t recommend enough… from bowl to soul!

We ordered the crispy aromatic duck for two to start. The duck was clearly not cooked fresh, and was a bit tasteless and dry The two curries we ordered were tasty, but my lamb was also dry, tasteless and a bit tough. Again clearly not cooked fresh, and added at the end We wanted to order their signature desert, which was Jasmine sorbet, but although i5 was only 8pm on. Thursday evening, they didn’t have it. Unbelievable!

Het eten was verrukkelijk. We hebben echt genoten! De service was uitstekend. Mijn broer heeft een glutenallergie. De bediening deed er alles aan om voor hem een glutenvrij menu samen te stellen. Ze kwamen ook regelmatig checken of alles naar wens was. Wanneer we weer in Londen zijn komen we zeker terugzien. Nogmaals bedankt voor de fijne avond.

wonderful atmosphere with live saxophonist. the staff were very helpful and the food was amazing. i am definitely going there again.

I placed order at 19.46 and food was delivered at 20:11, Roti was left in foil for long and had become soggy. Chicken karhi was also cold

Lovely pub with great space in the garden to watch sports.Food was good too.Reasonable prices and the staff were lovely.Saw some lovely cocktails too..Would highly recommend ..Not too far from station either...

Fairly reasonably priced for a main about £10. I liked how the food came with free kimchi and picked vegetables. Service was fast and friendly . Vegetable tofu soup had small volumes of vegetables and tofu (only 2 bits of tofu) which felt disappointing. Could do with a few more vegan options.

One of the best foods I have been having other than home cooked foods. The seating area may need improvements to make it more flexible for 2 persons to 5 or 6. The food is fresh,kebabs juicy and tasty. I have not been disappointed by any of the dishes including salads, chutneys, Nans and rice.

Our love of maliks is finally over. We have used maliks for 20 years, it was a luxury Indian dining experience at its best. The GX restaurant started declining before Covid but since the pandemic it isn’t the same. We’ve spoken to the owner numerous times and can tell the passions there anymore. After 3 pretty bad experiences at the GX outlet we decided to do a last minute dinner at Cookham. Started off nicely, but then the mains came. My lamb shashlik was very tough and fatty, more like rough mutton, not warm and certainly far from sizzling. 2 other dishes were like warm and it felt like they’d been left around or reheated. They did replace two discuss but by the time they came back, this time piping hot and the lamb swapped for chicken the rice and sides were cold and the other two in the family had finished. The bill came and was £181 - not a penny knocked off which we challenged. Still after reducing to £160 it was a very poor experience and for £160 I’d expect much more. All excuses throughout, no apology (common with the GX branch) and didn’t seem to remotely understand it wasn’t acceptable. Maliks used to use the best quality meat and products, but it seems the love of the owner has gone and with us so has our custom for good. 4 less than great experiences in a row says it all and we won’t ever be returning. Sometimes places change and you have to live on and this is one of those ocassion. The brand seems to have acquired an arrogance and complacency that has no place in hospitality and is now just a below average Indian with luxury prices.

Comida sencilla y deliciosa. Nuestra primera vez aquí y tuvimos cordero al curry y arroz, palak paneer y mantequilla naan. (Buenas opciones vegetarianas). Una ensalada pequeña y dos masala chai. Todo muy delicioso. Había muchas opciones a pesar de que era tarde para el almuerzo y el tiempo frío miserable. Personal muy amable y acogedor también.

Among the best service in London. All staff are super friendly and very kind, we brought cake for a very casual birthday but they even offered us candles.
