Lovely food, friendly efficient staff… highly recommend.

Avoid at all costs. Ordered £70+ worth of food at 7.15pm, that took 2 hours to be delivered. Then for us to be missing parts of our order, which then my dad could not eat because he didn't have his rice. I ate a small amount of my food, then for me to no longer be hungry. We call the takeaway about the missing items, they said they would get someone out to us straight away. 30 minutes later still no food, they had delivered it to the wrong address. Called again and told we had to talk to foodhub to get it sorted. After going backwards and forwards with them, they said we could have a refund for the missing items. But no compensation was offered for all of this and after asking for compensation, they said there was none to give. Absolutely disgusted service from both Bengal spice and food hub. The biggest shame is that the food was nice, but they have lost a house of customers and and future money from us.

Goes by the name gangees on just eat but it’s not it’s the company named above . Had a curry last Saturday and was fantastic realy tasty . Fast forward a week and we had a curry tonight from here and it’s honestly the worst Indian we have ever had . The prawn puree was the same sauce that was on my jalfrezi and it was realy disgusting and sweet . The keema naan has little tiny bits of crumbled up meat cooked into the naan bread rather than sandwiched inbetween . We won’t be returning what a shame .

food was undercooked food was also cold and the chicken had pink and i took a bite out of one piece and it was pink all the way through not happy and have requested a refund

The food was cold and had to be heated up to eat it. The meat was very poor and tough so didn’t eat it. Wouldn’t order again, was a complete waste of £34.00

Lovely chicken tikka masala, mint sauce is so tasty!

Ordered some takeaway and it is without doubt the worst curry we’ve ever had. For some reason both of our curries were ridiculously sweet, like as if they mixed up the sugar and salt shakers. Both of us were unable to finish our meals, extremely disappointed!

I ordered a Mixed Tandoori Grill takeaway to collect, which was over £10 and I must say it was very average even for a Western palette catering Indo-Bengali restaurant. Lots of large pieces of meat (which tasted nice) but with a sauce so red that my fingers are still stained after washing them with soap TWICE. Few bits of lettuce constituted the salad although the naan was nice and large. Although I didn't eat in, the decour and lay out of the restaurant itself needs huge improvement. Carpet and furnishings that are very dated and even a load of clothes hangers and a T-shirt hung over one of the wall lights.

Food lovely, but yet another mistake with the order, when you pay extra for cheese & garlic naan, but get a standard one, it's disappointing, previously an item was missing, Will give them one more chance as the food is lovely.

chicken tikka starter was tasty, onion bahjis nice but having them more crispy would be even better, curry sauce full of flavour, delivered hot, overall very happy and will be returning again.

Lovely food but, unfortunately, one of our starters was missing 😕 we called the restaurant and it was delivered half an hour later - our other food was cold by then so the evening was spoiled somewhat but at least the error was rectified 😐

Ordered takeaway and I cannot fault the quality of the food. Very good packaging, no slippages or oily areas. Food taste was outstanding, I had the lamb vindaloo, amazing. Decent price too. Staff are also very friendly and respectful, would love to eat in but the location isn't ideal.

This is by far our favourite Indian in Paignton. Food is always spot on. They did forget our Bombay Aloo this evening, but it’s the first time an item has ever been forgotten (and we use them regularly) Highly recommended. 5*

Looking at some of these reviews the chef must have had an off not or not turned up at all as the food was awful. We had a Parsi chicken and jaffrani curries and a chicken chat to start. both tasted exactly the same ...chicken had a strange texture and there were slices of uncooked garlic, sauce lacked any depth of flavour. the puri that came with the chat was brown and soggy and tasted revolting. the Peshwari Naan was like no naan i've ever seen, uncooked on one side and with no taste. Won't be returning .

tandoori mix grill was in a soup of oil. was overpriced for the quantity and quality of meat I received. with a slight retained heat. nan was dry, would not order again.. really poor

Arrived with something missing, driver got onto restaurant, with the boss saying he'll bring it straight up himself. Started on rest, tasted lovely, nice and hot (temperature and spice), boss turned up with missing items which we added to our meal, along with an apology and some free poppadoms, problems happen, it's how they're sorted that matters, they were first class.

Food was absolutely delicious! Will definitely be ordering from here more often

second time at this place. mixed grill kebab isn't very nice. very hard to figure out what animal you are eating. chips were okay. small portions tho

Food never turned up when it said it has been delivered

The rogan josh was so salty I couldn’t eat it which was a shame as I’d been looking forward to it all day.

Very apologetic about the being a bit late, it was a busy night but it was well worth the wait. The food was piping hot, generous portions and every food choice utterly delicious. We all loved our meals and will be ordering again. Definitely recommend.

I’ve been ordering from here for years - same people as used to run Ganges In Paignton . Super friendly they know my order as soon as I call and the food is spot on and great value for money . I recommend the chicken dahsak and Bombay potatoes. My favourite treat to look forward to thanks guys !

Had a delivery 2/3/24arrived 45min late food was bland no spice to the jalfrazi onion Bahjiwere like they had been heated up from hours ago chicken in the chicken tikka biriani rice tasted off very disappointing hav been having food from here for years garlic cheese nan very flat hardly any cheese so if you want bland food storm cold arrives very late to ordered then this is for you otherwise I wound recommend

Sorry guys but food was cold and bland - very disappointing. My jalfrezi had no spice and the sauce had a wallpaper paste consistency . I’ve never had rice that tasted of nothing but water. Salad for poppadoms missed. Delivery time kept being added to

Very disappointed was very late & missed our poppadoms on our order.

The food took 2 hours and 15 mins to arrive!! The lady on the phone lied and said ‘it’s just leaving now’. Another 50 mins later it still hasn’t arrived. By the time it arrived our evening was ruined as we were all not hungry and too tired to eat as 9:10pm isn’t exactly dinner time. We ended up cooking, ruined my birthday thanks a lot. You also gave us the wrong food. The food we did get was ok but have had much better. Don’t take orders if you can deliver them in a reasonable time. I won’t be dropping this until I get all of my money back.

I've ordered from here a few times and loved it. Not sure what's happened this time but it was not good. The keema rice was revolting and couldn't find/taste any keema so not sure if I recieved someone else's order. The keema naan also had two tiny pieces of keema in. It was also burnt and tasted horrible. The massala sauce was also really thick and not sauce. Absolutely gutted as we usually love this place.
