Was so dissapointed. All my favourite dishes no longer available had a job to select food on offer as it was so badly made. Tasteless, no seasoning, lukewarm, watery sauces on noodles etc very little substance to main dishes bulked up with lots of onion and noodles, Sushi worst I have every had, like a block of cold cooked rice. Meat dry fatty hard no filling in small vegetable rolls all pastry I could go on but will just not visit again. Was one of my favourite places. Think it is really bad form that you have to pay up front before you even finished being seated but I understand why now as I feel they would have a job to charge for such poor fare once sampled.

Creo que en general es una gran relación calidad-precio y atender a la mayoría de los gustos

Solía ir allí hace 6 años, y era fantástico el servicio y la comida, pero hoy en día, estoy sorprendido cuando exigen el pago 1 calle! Comidas 100% carnes asquerosas duras, salsa insípida y acuosa, sin primavera ni pepino para envolver el pato, arroz seco, fideos insípidos, cartón de pan de ajo y platos fríos! Lo único positivo son los dulces; eso es todo. No volveré... Ahora sé por qué exigieron el pago 1 calle y conocían la mierda de calidad de la comida. . . ¡Me habría negado a pagar y me habría ido!

Food was mediocre, uncooked mussels being served and some of the dishes where cold and overcooked. Was ok but with an increase in price and a limited selection of food it wasn't value for money. Wouldn't want to go more than once or twice a year.

Have been there long time ago and it was bad!tried to give them one more chance today and it was absolutely horrible experience again.... Food always missing (see picture) and not only for few min but for very long time even after you ask why is it empty. All desert frozen!or not there Also dirty if you look properly like under plates holder (see picture,pic not really good sorry) food not tasty at all Last time we've been there for sure

Evening meal on a Saturday. Having not visited for a year, upon arriving I immediately noticed a difference. Waited in the reception area and nobody came for ages. Noticed that the desk was shabby. Bad first impression. The food was all tepid. Nothing was very hot. Tried small samples of about 10 dishes but there wasn't one that I could say wow! I really enjoyed that. My companion said the same. Garlic bread was rock hard. Most of the chicken dishes tastes the same and the chicken Korma sauce was runny and watery. No peshawarI nan like you get at ZaZa and only 2 pizza flavours. Chocolate fountain turned off and no strawberries. A dessert consisting of bananas in custard is very poor. The ladies toilets were disgusting, with blocked toilets and no soap and water everywhere. Scruffy decor. Staff were polite, but between the ambience, choice, food quality and price, ZaZa is in the lead. Unless the whole management changes and shakes this place up, my feet will speak by going to their competitor for the foreseeable future.

Of all the places to get food, this is certainly one of them. This meets the legal definition of food. My expectations were not high and this restaurant still limboed underneath them. Jokes aside it wasn’t the worst place but for the price I did expect better. ZaZaBazaar is more expensive and slightly better quality but it depends on what you take. The selection here is limited and seems like it’s been sat for a while. Almost everything was overcooked and super dry, and if it wasn’t it was horrifically sweet. It was nice but I wish there was slightly more variety. The value for the price is okay but in that aspect Za Za Bazaar might be slightly better. I liked it nonetheless. I couldn't find scallops :-(

Great varied options with good quality of food. Kitchen seemed a bit slow at topping up some of the dishes as a few were empty for a little while. Otherwise excellent place for a fun meal.

I've been here a few times now, and the noodle dishes this time were excellent (1330, Dec 29, 2024)– perfectly cooked. The Hong Kong noodles and Thai stir-fried vermicelli were especially good, with a springy texture and not greasy at all, which is hard to get right. However, I noticed there are quite a lot of spicy dishes but fewer non-spicy options. It’d be great to have more variety to suit different tastes. The sushi, unfortunately, was let down by the rice – too overcooked and sticky. It seems the soaking time and water ratio need adjusting to get the rice properly separated and ideal for sushi. Hopefully, the chefs can take this feedback on board.

Avoid this place. Cosmo was fantastic pre Covid-19 👏. Now it is a pale shadow of it's former glory. ●The toilets are disgusting, smelly and not regulary cleaned. ●The food is lukewarm, greasy, overcooked and there is a lack of choice (compared to pre-2020), also the empty serving trays are not replenished quickly enough are are left sitting empty. ●No chopsticks anymore. ●Forced to pay on entry now. ●Waiting staff often dont clean the dirty plates away. ●Crap dessert section. Unfortunately, Cosmos has gone dramatically downhill, AVOID.

Well. After several years of attending evening dinner around xmas time . I have to say this year my experience was one of the worst one. And I'm not After staff or facilities. All of those were OK as always. SADLY FOOD QUALITY GET WORSE. MAIN DISHES AS Squeed Scallops Prawns Ware missing and possibly few other which was out of my menu. Sadly saying that was my last visit there. It's time to explore other restaurants. Goodbye 👋

Came with friends this weekend whilst on a visit from Essex. Lots of buffet dishes either empty or too slowly replenished. Empty plates not taken away from our table and management staff having a disagreement next to our table wasn’t very professional. Food was ok but I have to say I prefer Za Za Bazaar. Much better value for money. Sorry!

I recently visited Cosmo Bristol to celebrate my birthday with friends, and it was a fantastic experience! As the birthday guest, I received free entry, which was a lovely touch and made the occasion feel even more special. The variety of food was incredible - from Asian cuisines to European classics, there was something to suit everyone's taste. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The live cooking stations were a highlight, adding a fun and interactive element to the meal. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, and the staff were attentive and friendly throughout our visit. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fun dining experience with a wide range of delicious options.

Worst dining experience ever!! The food selection was poor, and what we did try was completely bland, no taste, no flavour. My partner asked for the meat to be grilled but it was served to him uncooked. To make matters worse, we experienced severe food poisoning just four hours after dining here. Avoid this place at all costs, don’t waste your money!

If you want a wide selection of food, visit this place. I expected the usual Chinese and Indian dishes, but found roast dinners, pasta, sushi, Filipino noodles, Thai dishes, and more. Just be aware that if you go early it does fill up with parents and babies screaming the place down.

Pollo en masa para acompañar a su dulce y agrio no estaba allí, en su lugar pequeño trozo de la salsa no muy agradable. Nada de pollo Satay, langostinos que tuviste que pelar tú mismo ninguno listo pelado. El trozo de pollo va con tu salsa de limón. El pollo ya estaba en la salsa y de nuevo no era tan bueno. Creo que deberían sacar una hoja del restaurante Mias Taunton.

Visited last night food was very cold told the waiter which all he did was apologised didn't offer us anything, the chef kept coming out and then putting hot food onto cold food which It should of been taken away and then put the hot food out when hot holding it should be at a certain temperture which It wasn't lamb and beef was chewy , plates weren't cleared quick enough proberly won't be bk

Hicimos una fiesta de 13 , y elegimos cosmo para la variedad. No habíamos estado durante algún tiempo, así que nos sorprendió que nos pidieran que pagar antes de comer. La recepción luego discutió con nosotros, diciendo que nos había dicho, pero yo nos reservé y definitivamente no se lo dijeron. También había reservado originalmente para 12 , y enviado por correo electrónico para aumentar a 13 , pero la mesa solo estaba establecida para 12 . Tuve que pedir que sacaran platos limpios. Nos quedamos muy decepcionados con la calidad de la comida, que no estaba ni cerca de visitas anteriores. El pato para las tortitas estaba húmedo y gris, pareciendo más papilla que pato. El cordero era más gordo que la carne, y la carne era tan dura que mi hija comenzó a ahogarse y no podía respirar. Llegamos al baño justo a tiempo, y tuve que proporcionarle primeros auxilios para que pudiera respirar. En general una muy mala experiencia.

Visited for lunch with the family for my mother in laws birthday. Before we'd sat down, we were told we had to pay upfront. Apparently, this is how they've been doing it for the last few months (we've always paid at the end). Front of house came to our table and said that he had notified us that they take payment beforehand. We told him that he didn't tell us, and he proceeded to tell us that he did. No wonder why payment had to be taken first, because the food was absolutely vile. I usually start with the shredded duck and pancakes. I took one look at the duck and it looked wet? The pancakes were also soggy and people were just picking them out with their hands. Took one bite and had to spit it out. There were tubes within the meat 😫 Went up for a second time, no plates so had to wait a few minutes for them to appear. The chicken in the curries were rancid and chewy with gristly/fatty bits. Boiled rice was solid as a rock, was like chewing on pellets of plastic. The only thing I managed to eat was the sweet and sour chicken. That was the only nice thing there imo. It was absolute carnage in there, everyone just pushes infront of you. We used to come regularly and we would though roughly enjoy it. What's happened Cosmos? We won't be returning.

Sometimes the food is delicious, sometimes it's a little worse prepared. But the last time I was there the food was very tasty - I give it 10/10.

We went on Saturday evening with my friends. The foods are great , many choices , the ice cream and cakes as well, we had a great meal 😊 we will be coming back again!

Used to enjoy this place with family… but more recently, the really limited choice for vegetarians has been so annoying. In a place where limitless choice is the whole point, only having a couple of simple stir fried veg dishes and a pretty dull veg curry, compared with literally at least 30 meat and fish asian choices, roast meats, bao buns, fresh prawns and mussels … all makes it very poor value for us veggies. C’mon Cosmo, you can do a lot better than this!

The good.....Great selection of Chinese, Indian and International food. The Bad..... A wait for 20 minutes after booking beforehand, table was being readied was the excuse. The food bowls were constantly empty and not replenished quickly enough.

So disappointing, had been recommended Cosmo by friends who had visited the Manchester branch, The staff were very nice, but the food was poor to say the least. I had steak from the Teppanyaki station it was so tough the knife would not cut it. the duck was tasteless and the hoisin sause had been watered down so much it had lost any flavour. Would I recommend Cosmo Bristol NO

Decided to try it for the first time on a Saturday for my sons birthday. Arrived and were seated very quickly, we were also told immediately that we had to pay upfront for the meal and any drinks we ordered. Also, I found that many of the dishes had run out quickly and were not replenished, e.g., chicken curry. Some of the food wasn't that warm either. Was disappointed. Za Za better.

The staffs and very accommodating and hospitable specially the Filipino staffs Eddie and Arnel. The food are presented well and very savoury. Great job!

The quality of the food disappointed me. So, the price is not worth it even if they have many options. For someone that only goes for quantity and not quality can be alright. I tried pilau rice - dried and not well cooked; the plates with lamb - good taste, but impossible to chew; deserts - looks like the cakes that they sell in tesco, but small pieces.

I was Saturday, not have variety of food, low chicken , just tikka and naghets. Desert very low 3 type of cakes. Need pay first(because after you see how they is you will not pay) very low, table was shaking ,I ask to fix didn't care. I was waiting for refil the chicken tikka, take ages.Don't waste your money, go to zaza is 10 times better ,more spaces,more food.

Best cosmo I've been, not like the other cosmos outlets.

Pretty disappointing. They say the accept walk ins. Went in with more tables empty than full to be told that they were fully booked till 8 it was just two of us not a full party. Wait staff didn't even look at any kind of screen or book, no kind of compromise just couldn't be bothered. Left to eat somewhere else. Walked back past just over an hour later with still barely any tables occupied and no one waiting to be seated, I find it really hard to believe they didn't have space for two people. Don't say you accept walk ins if you aren't going to seat people even when you're half empty.

Pretty poor to be honest.. been to loads of these Cosmo restaurants and generally not bad but this is by far the worst. It's small, the selection of foods wasn't great and we didn't enjoy the experience. We 5 of us squeezed onto a 4 person table (we pre-booked too), we had to pay for the meal and pay for drinks every time. Food wise I had some nice dishes and some not so nice but we found many of the trays to be empty. With ZaZa Bazaar not far just avoid this and go there I'm sad to say.

Cosmo is a place where I can put gravy on sushi. Yes people judge me, maybe even hate me. But do they stop me? Can they? No. They must watch in horror as I eat my gravy soaked rice topped with salmon with a perverse look of pleasure in my face, before going up for seconds and filling a Yorkshire pudding with melted chocolate. The power it gives me is truely eldritch, and I will never not relish in it.

We’ve been to a few different cosmo branches before and loved them so were really excited to come to this one as we’d never come before but if this was our first time going to a cosmo I don’t think we’d go back ever again to any. It is a very small branch which half the choices of the other cosmos I’d been to. The main dining area is extremely over crowded with people struggling to walk past each other which can be a bit chaotic when carrying hot food. Many of the plates were dirty on the stack before you could get to a clean one. If a server takes your cutlery away there are only spoons available unless you manage to grab someone to ask for more cutlery. The cold seafood next to the salad area was vile to the point of some of us gagging and having to spit it out into a napkin. The lamb breast dish had an off cheese taste to it. The pancakes for the duck were over steamed to the point of them becoming doughy and impossible to pick up. There was one set of tongs for the dumplings section which meant cross contamination was inevitable so if you have an allergies or dietary restrictions you should just avoid it or bring your own tongs if that’s even possible. The entrance area to the toilets floor was sticky that our shoes were sticking to the floor when we left that area and the women’s toilets clearly weren’t being checked regularly because they were a state some cubicles were void of any paper whilst the rest had paper all over the floor. We witnessed so many people grab the sweeties and prawn crackers with their bare hands and now I know this isn’t cosmos fault and down to people having a lack of respect for others it was happening so regularly that surely staff should have seen it and taken some action but that’s just something to be aware of. I even witnessed someone drop a dessert on the floor, pick it up ans put it back on the display again not cosmos fault but if this is the kind of clientele the Bristol branch has I dread to think what I missed happening. Kids running everywhere screaming shouting even walking around barefoot again not cosmos fault but it just ruined the atmosphere as I’ve never experienced an evening like this in any other cosmo. A saving grace would be that the desserts that hadn’t made it to the floor were very much enjoyable and being replenished regularly. The staff were friendly in the short interactions had but I feel like this place needs a bit more managing as this night was not to the standards of what a cosmo should be

Pretty poor to be honest. Staff were friendly enough I guess but the meat was very poor quality and tasted bizarre. Overall the food was not of a good standard. Just go to a proper restaurant for the same price.

We came here last night not knowing what to expect, but were very pleased with our experience. In terms of parking there is a multi-storey 2 mins walk down the road, or on road parking opposite the restaurant. The restaurant is big with loads of tables and a nice ambiance. It seems very efficiently run, we had no problem getting drinks quickly and payment for the meal is taken when you first get to your table. The food selection was perfect for us! I normally struggle at buffets as a vegetarian, but it was really nice that there were different curries as well as a variety of veggie Chinese dishes. My daughter absolutely loved the ice cream dispenser at the end of the meal.. and the selection of haribo type sweets! There were bits of the buffet we didn’t experience like the carvery or salad bar. But it’s so good that there used to be such a varied selection. My husband said the meat selection like the ribs and the duck/ pancakes was lovely. Honestly, if you’re thinking of coming here give it a go!

We went there for birthday celebration. But the food is really bad, very disappointing. Will not go again.

What food we did have was good however they were very slow to refill containers when emptied and also at one point there were no plates. It wasn’t even that busy really so maybe they need more staff. My son was waiting for some pizza however so was everyone else it seems and I think it is safe to say that I would have been quicker at making pizzas than the guy working on this section!!

Since cosmo been taking over by different companies, I find quality of food is gone down hill, service no complain, it just a pity that the quality of food is not the same as any more

I like a lot of the food and it has quite a big selection, but the price has risen quite a lot in recent years, it seems like there is even more tables and it can get very noisy, including with crying babies and children. I'm not sure it's worth the price anymore. The service is OK, pay before you eat.

Quite a lot of options you get for buffet menu. I really loved the sushi, pork ribs, prawn and squid bbq, and irish cake. They also had pizza, chicken curry, etc. so you get to taste flavours from all over the world. Only reason why I am not giving 5/5 is because their fruit selection was not good. Pear was too soggy to eat as it was literally soaking in it's own juice. Service was good and ambiance was great too ✨

Cosmo seemed to have declined a bit in quality in recent times but recently it was back to its best and in fact was probably the best I have known. It was impossible to get through everything I wanted to eat and I did not get to try the new Philippine dishes. Chines, curry, sushi, roast dinner... were all wonderful and there was a great range of deserts including an ice-cream machine and their great chocolate fountain.

If I could give this place a zero I would have, from the beginning of my partner and I getting there, they basically threw the card machine in front of us expecting us to pay as we were seated, they put 2 refillable drinks on when we asked for one and a water. We started with the normal selection of things that I'd usually go for, lamb, roast, dimsum etc, the lamb was probably the only nice thing to eat, the dimsum tasted like like pure lemon and the roast was completely Empty or looking like charcoal with the gravy being a granulated thick sludge. Every single one of the food containers was left open, as well as the food being cold and flavourless. The puddings looked like they'd been squeezed by children and left there, I left 1.5 plates worth of food on the counter because It tasted awful and unflavoured. My partner at this point was throwing up whatever he had eaten because it had messed with his stomach. I then decided to ask for a member of staff which took me 2 minutes of me saying "hello" before he finally turned and said "how is everything", I then responded "not great to be honest", he then said hell get the manager. The staff member I was speaking to had the manager and other members of staff in the kitchen together all laughing and bitching about the fact I'm complaining - I COULD LITERALLY SEE THEM GOSSIPING ABOUT IT The manager comes over and I explain I've been to 4 different cosmos and that this one was by far the WORST on top of seeing the staff member bitch about me, he then immediately started giving me an attitude, I then go on to say that my partner is throwing up in the bathroom, and that I've left 2 plates of food untouched after trying a mouthful, he then had the cheek to say "let me check how long you've been here", he comes back and says "well you've been here for 40 minutes, you should've said something at the beginning" I replied "well there's 2 full plates untouched because the food was disgusting you can check the cameras, and my partner is currently throwing up", He then said "well I don't think we can give you a refund because you've been here for 40 minutes already and didn't mention anything but I'll speak to the business manager, I doubt he we will be able to give you a refund but I'll find out" (all with a snotty attitude) and before I could reply he stormed off. He comes back and said "on this occasion he will give you a refund but next time it won't happen", I then replied "well don't worry about next time. we won't be coming back", they then gave us a cash refund rather than on card which is how my partner paid. I then found out when he came out multiple staff members actually came into the bathroom to listen out for him throwing up while he was hunched over a sink trying to contain himself. I have been to FOUR different cosmos around the UK and I am absolutely disgusted with the service as well as the food, cosmos have always been my favourite restaurant but this has absolutely killed my love for it. I think the cheek of paying upfront as well as the disgusting service even after paying a service charge is completely immoral. DO NOT GO TO COSMOS BRISTOL SAVE YOUR MONEY AND STOMACHS.

Cosmo ... you can find diversified foods for all tastes. Seafood is delicious. I came back again this year to this restaurant, impeccable service and tasty and fresh food. I'll be back

A really nice atmosphere at this buffet restaurant. The service from everyone was excellent. The food was just ok for me. Some of the meats were dry, but the Asian dishes were very tasty. The cocktail was a bit watered down for my liking. But definitely worth visiting if you're hungry.

Me and my partner absolutley loved visiting COSMO for Valentine's Day last year! The atmosphere was great, the restaurant was clean, and there was a great selection of food to choose from. The staff here were all polite and super helpful. We will definitely be back soon!

Better than most buffet restaurants - for selection and taste. There were some standout dishes - the Beijing ribs, Mongolian lamb, the Thai green chicken curry and the Eton mess. Misses were the vegetable dumplings and the salt and pepper squid. Family really enjoyed the visit - and would go back again.

Haven't been here for more than 5yrs, I must say, the food choices and quality are much better than the last time I went, what an improvement.

Need to pay extra free to buy soft drink

Went to eat here at 7.50pm and was told they closed the kitchen at 8pm (closing time 9pm) so would not be allowed in. Really bad customer service and a ridiculous rule, never seen this before in a buffet restaurant. Bad attitude by staff member too.

Not as much food selection as there is in the Manchester and Liverpool Cosmos but the service was outstanding. Also alot of the trays were empty. I would visit again sometime.

The food is delightful serving various dishes around the world. I love how they started integrating Filipino food into the buffet especially as there is barely any Filipino food in Bristol. I’m just a bit confused on why there is service charge when it’s a self service buffet?

We had a family gathering of 21 people. Payment upfront was a bit of a pain, especially when splitting the bill. Ujjwol, was a brilliant and patient host and did all he could to make sure we were happy. Usual selection of foods from, curries, roasts, sushi and pizza. Something for everyone. Delicious and brilliant service

Food and service were incredible, the atmosphere of the place is great would definitely reccomend.

Amazing experience, food was amazing and service was even better.

Its a decent buffet, with a slightly sub par selection of dishes, not the most variety to be honest. The service was friendly and they were quite helpful. The atmosphere was a weird mix of fancy but also family dining that left it a bit of a random cafeteria vibe. The student discount was useful so it's not to pricey if you're a student.

Been going to Cosmo's for years now and there has been quite a lot of change to the seating etc but overall it is fantastic, for the price, the food is brilliant. Cosmos is great for family dinners, dates, birthdays, etc. I absolutely love the atmosphere and food here. All the staff are always amaizng.

I use to go there when I was at college close by a very long time ago and it went kinda forgotten until my brother suggested it for his birthday. The place looked brand new, clean and food choice was great quality even the people that hate buffets absolutely loved it. Staff were great too! Thank you

Food was great lots of choice service was ok apart from showing you to your table and paying thats all they done sevice wise but it was ok food ran low quite quickly as it was busy in my opinion seating is cramped with the person on the next table only 3ft or so away from you and no real personal space they seemed to have got as many tables in as possible to maximise space at the cost of personal space but saying that if you go at a less busy time it would be fine and I would recommend that you try this place and I will go back again

Eddie and Jamie are very friendly. They make our friends birthday special by giving us good service. We enjoyed our meal.

I was in a group of 11 last Wednesday for the 6.15 sitting. Was dissappointed for the following reasons. Cosmo Bristol have lost their liquor licence, therefore unable to get a beer. Endless supply of soft drink available for £3.95. The Eton Mess was liquid. Several food warmers were empty and most importantly the 3 prawns I had (which were the last ones) were dirty, they had not been cleaned. Luckily I discovered this before eating

Well, what a shame, I used to come here for exceptional value lunches, sadly at £22.99 I think the price is way too high for a buffet. Perhaps the $$$’s became too desirable. I have no cu t the success will continue but greed isn’t always good.

We've been to Cosmos a number of times over the years for various birthdays and family gatherings, with Cosmo offering plenty of different dishes to choose from, with a nice selection of desserts too. The service was good as usual, very attentive and cleared plates very fast when emptied. The food didn't seem to be as tasty as previous visits though but what would have been nice is to have a drink with your meal...and I don't mean bottomless refills of coke/Fanta/lemonade....that's right, Cosmos management have decided they will no longer serve Alcoholic beverages of ANY kind, not that we would have had many anyway with 3 children in tow on a school night. Now, there will be somebody somewhere that will say "boohoo, you don't need a drink with your meal, shouldn't be drinking when you've got kids etc," the problem is we were told when entering the establishment that management had decided this 4 days before our booking date, with no email or correspondence to advise of this fact. They sent a reminder email of our reservation the day before, so they could have advised us then, at least our expectations would have been lowered on arrival. It's a very silly decision from the management that I hope will be reviewed, as I feel they are going to lose a lot of customers if they decide this is the right way. It is a shame as we've always had a nice evening in there. I can't see us going back anytime soon.

Quite disappointing to be honest. The price has gone up quite alot from the last time we went. Nearly £50 for two of us. The choice seemed a lot more limited than on previous visits. We were told they were not serving alcohol, which i would of expected to have been informed of this before arriving. There was an 18th birthday next to us and they couldnt even enjoy a drink with their food. We were told we must pay upfront for food and to get drinks from the bar and then one second over our alloted time, we were asked to leave dispite it being empty. Not sure we would return. A real shame.
