Good food at a reasonable price. In my opinion the best eat-all-you can restaurant in Bristol.

Cosmo is a place where I can put gravy on sushi. Yes people judge me, maybe even hate me. But do they stop me? Can they? No. They must watch in horror as I eat my gravy soaked rice topped with salmon with a perverse look of pleasure in my face, before going up for seconds and filling a Yorkshire pudding with melted chocolate. The power it gives me is truely eldritch, and I will never not relish in it.

Pretty poor to be honest.. been to loads of these Cosmo restaurants and generally not bad but this is by far the worst. It's small, the selection of foods wasn't great and we didn't enjoy the experience. We 5 of us squeezed onto a 4 person table (we pre-booked too), we had to pay for the meal and pay for drinks every time. Food wise I had some nice dishes and some not so nice but we found many of the trays to be empty. With ZaZa Bazaar not far just avoid this and go there I'm sad to say.

Affordable afternoon meal. Really yummy. Got NHS discount as well.

We’ve been to a few different cosmo branches before and loved them so were really excited to come to this one as we’d never come before but if this was our first time going to a cosmo I don’t think we’d go back ever again to any. It is a very small branch which half the choices of the other cosmos I’d been to. The main dining area is extremely over crowded with people struggling to walk past each other which can be a bit chaotic when carrying hot food. Many of the plates were dirty on the stack before you could get to a clean one. If a server takes your cutlery away there are only spoons available unless you manage to grab someone to ask for more cutlery. The cold seafood next to the salad area was vile to the point of some of us gagging and having to spit it out into a napkin. The lamb breast dish had an off cheese taste to it. The pancakes for the duck were over steamed to the point of them becoming doughy and impossible to pick up. There was one set of tongs for the dumplings section which meant cross contamination was inevitable so if you have an allergies or dietary restrictions you should just avoid it or bring your own tongs if that’s even possible. The entrance area to the toilets floor was sticky that our shoes were sticking to the floor when we left that area and the women’s toilets clearly weren’t being checked regularly because they were a state some cubicles were void of any paper whilst the rest had paper all over the floor. We witnessed so many people grab the sweeties and prawn crackers with their bare hands and now I know this isn’t cosmos fault and down to people having a lack of respect for others it was happening so regularly that surely staff should have seen it and taken some action but that’s just something to be aware of. I even witnessed someone drop a dessert on the floor, pick it up ans put it back on the display again not cosmos fault but if this is the kind of clientele the Bristol branch has I dread to think what I missed happening. Kids running everywhere screaming shouting even walking around barefoot again not cosmos fault but it just ruined the atmosphere as I’ve never experienced an evening like this in any other cosmo. A saving grace would be that the desserts that hadn’t made it to the floor were very much enjoyable and being replenished regularly. The staff were friendly in the short interactions had but I feel like this place needs a bit more managing as this night was not to the standards of what a cosmo should be

We went there for birthday celebration. But the food is really bad, very disappointing. Will not go again.

Since cosmo been taking over by different companies, I find quality of food is gone down hill, service no complain, it just a pity that the quality of food is not the same as any more

I like a lot of the food and it has quite a big selection, but the price has risen quite a lot in recent years, it seems like there is even more tables and it can get very noisy, including with crying babies and children. I'm not sure it's worth the price anymore. The service is OK, pay before you eat.

Quite a lot of options you get for buffet menu. I really loved the sushi, pork ribs, prawn and squid bbq, and irish cake. They also had pizza, chicken curry, etc. so you get to taste flavours from all over the world. Only reason why I am not giving 5/5 is because their fruit selection was not good. Pear was too soggy to eat as it was literally soaking in it's own juice. Service was good and ambiance was great too ✨

If there is a zero star option i would give this one a zero. Rubbish!!!

Cosmo ... you can find diversified foods for all tastes. Seafood is delicious. I came back again this year to this restaurant, impeccable service and tasty and fresh food. I'll be back

Me and my partner absolutley loved visiting COSMO for Valentine's Day last year! The atmosphere was great, the restaurant was clean, and there was a great selection of food to choose from. The staff here were all polite and super helpful. We will definitely be back soon!

Better than most buffet restaurants - for selection and taste. There were some standout dishes - the Beijing ribs, Mongolian lamb, the Thai green chicken curry and the Eton mess. Misses were the vegetable dumplings and the salt and pepper squid. Family really enjoyed the visit - and would go back again.

Haven't been here for more than 5yrs, I must say, the food choices and quality are much better than the last time I went, what an improvement.

Need to pay extra free to buy soft drink

Went to eat here at 7.50pm and was told they closed the kitchen at 8pm (closing time 9pm) so would not be allowed in. Really bad customer service and a ridiculous rule, never seen this before in a buffet restaurant. Bad attitude by staff member too.

Not as much food selection as there is in the Manchester and Liverpool Cosmos but the service was outstanding. Also alot of the trays were empty. I would visit again sometime.

The food is delightful serving various dishes around the world. I love how they started integrating Filipino food into the buffet especially as there is barely any Filipino food in Bristol. I’m just a bit confused on why there is service charge when it’s a self service buffet?

We had a family gathering of 21 people. Payment upfront was a bit of a pain, especially when splitting the bill. Ujjwol, was a brilliant and patient host and did all he could to make sure we were happy. Usual selection of foods from, curries, roasts, sushi and pizza. Something for everyone. Price is going up at £23.99 each but then where isn't. Thank you again, Ujjwol

Food and service were incredible, the atmosphere of the place is great would definitely reccomend.

Its a decent buffet, with a slightly sub par selection of dishes, not the most variety to be honest. The service was friendly and they were quite helpful. The atmosphere was a weird mix of fancy but also family dining that left it a bit of a random cafeteria vibe. The student discount was useful so it's not to pricey if you're a student.

I use to go there when I was at college close by a very long time ago and it went kinda forgotten until my brother suggested it for his birthday. The place looked brand new, clean and food choice was great quality even the people that hate buffets absolutely loved it. Staff were great too! Thank you

Been going to Cosmo's for years now and there has been quite a lot of change to the seating etc but overall it is fantastic, for the price, the food is brilliant. Cosmos is great for family dinners, dates, birthdays, etc. I absolutely love the atmosphere and food here. All the staff are always amaizng.

As always a fabulous place to meet up with friends and enjoy excellent world food.

Food was great lots of choice service was ok apart from showing you to your table and paying thats all they done sevice wise but it was ok food ran low quite quickly as it was busy in my opinion seating is cramped with the person on the next table only 3ft or so away from you and no real personal space they seemed to have got as many tables in as possible to maximise space at the cost of personal space but saying that if you go at a less busy time it would be fine and I would recommend that you try this place and I will go back again

Eddie and Jamie are very friendly. They make our friends birthday special by giving us good service. We enjoyed our meal.

Well, what a shame, I used to come here for exceptional value lunches, sadly at £22.99 I think the price is way too high for a buffet. Perhaps the $$$’s became too desirable. I have no cu t the success will continue but greed isn’t always good.

I was in a group of 11 last Wednesday for the 6.15 sitting. Was dissappointed for the following reasons. Cosmo Bristol have lost their liquor licence, therefore unable to get a beer. Endless supply of soft drink available for £3.95. The Eton Mess was liquid. Several food warmers were empty and most importantly the 3 prawns I had (which were the last ones) were dirty, they had not been cleaned. Luckily I discovered this before eating

We've been to Cosmos a number of times over the years for various birthdays and family gatherings, with Cosmo offering plenty of different dishes to choose from, with a nice selection of desserts too. The service was good as usual, very attentive and cleared plates very fast when emptied. The food didn't seem to be as tasty as previous visits though but what would have been nice is to have a drink with your meal...and I don't mean bottomless refills of coke/Fanta/lemonade....that's right, Cosmos management have decided they will no longer serve Alcoholic beverages of ANY kind, not that we would have had many anyway with 3 children in tow on a school night. Now, there will be somebody somewhere that will say "boohoo, you don't need a drink with your meal, shouldn't be drinking when you've got kids etc," the problem is we were told when entering the establishment that management had decided this 4 days before our booking date, with no email or correspondence to advise of this fact. They sent a reminder email of our reservation the day before, so they could have advised us then, at least our expectations would have been lowered on arrival. It's a very silly decision from the management that I hope will be reviewed, as I feel they are going to lose a lot of customers if they decide this is the right way. It is a shame as we've always had a nice evening in there. I can't see us going back anytime soon.

Quite disappointing to be honest. The price has gone up quite alot from the last time we went. Nearly £50 for two of us. The choice seemed a lot more limited than on previous visits. We were told they were not serving alcohol, which i would of expected to have been informed of this before arriving. There was an 18th birthday next to us and they couldnt even enjoy a drink with their food. We were told we must pay upfront for food and to get drinks from the bar and then one second over our alloted time, we were asked to leave dispite it being empty. Not sure we would return. A real shame.

After booking a table for 15 people got there told they couldn't give us alcohol then got told we had 2 pay straight away won't go back there again

Whilst it's normally quite good, on my last visit, I watched a child return a plate of sweets by manhandling the individual sweets back into the bowls before other customers unknowingly ate them, all the while the staff did nothing about it.

Terrible....lots of food stations empty...so had something else...went back up and still those food stations not filled up ....don't waste u money as expensive too

Great food could have been hotter and filled up quicker. But it's really nice food and I have never seen so much choice from all over the world. Excellent place to go for any food you like. I would recommend it to everyone.we definitely will go back regularly. Staff were friendly and eager to help.

Went out for dinner with my partner, everything was explained to us and the waiters were quick to get us our drinks and ensured our empty plates were taken away promptly. The food was delicious, our favourite was both the Soft Serve Ice Cream and bbq ribs. Will 100% visit again!

This has been me and my partners go to restaurant! This was actually where we came for our first date as well :) Love the food every time Avoid weekends if you can, since it becomes super busy but if you don’t mind crowds and a lil chaos you’re good to go. I would love to see prawn toast again:( I haven’t seen it in the dinner buffet in so long

Walked in but managed to book a table , I was requested to stay no more than 90 minutes ?? The cutlery was dirty . They requested payment upfront, fair enough. The food was OK but not enough varieties

Brilliant place for group dine in. Vast majority of selection on starters,main course and desserts. Very freindly, welcoming and helpful staff. Very clean and tidy place. Special prices and discounts for May half term. Delicious food as in all Cosmo restaurant chain. Central location near attractions. Nice to have a break and dine in while roaming around the city visiting the main attractions of the city. Nice place to bring kids. Clean tidy wash rooms.

One of the best all you can eat buffets in Bristol. Especially great for Oriental cuisine. Friendly staff and great ambience

Probably best eat as much as u can (all you can eat) restaurant, first started in Eastbourne Sussex these are all round UK now and do a nice selection of food . They offer Chinese, Indean, Mexican, roast dinners and a lot more, freshly made sushi bar and fresh cooked to order steak,squid, lamb chops and scallops etc. on a grill, as well as a tandoori oven. They have a chocolate fountain and a load of sweets as well as other desserts. Disabled access is good parking is not far can be found within a few hundred meters,toilets are also accessible. Such a choice of food that would suit most groups several of our group are vegan or vegetarian there was good selection for them.

Huge disappointment for us, we live in Taunton and we came to Bristol on purpose to try.Some dishes are good but not delicious and a mixture of deodorizer for the toilets cuts the appetite....The toilets are dirty so I don't even dare to imagine the state of the kitchens. The plates and cutlery were all very dirty, we had to clean them ourselves in the sink next to our table.The benches and tables are falling into decrepitude... Almost all the doors were dirty, greasy hand marks everywhere I've never really seen that,!!! Is there no one to manage this restaurant? What a pity, the concept could have been Really nice. We really had a really bad time.

We came for food and were impressed with the food but very impressed with the staff esp the gentleman who helped to get some things to hold my wife's shoe together when a strap broke.

Great service, lovely staff and nice food

I went to cosmos on the 6th of may 2024 we were booked in for 5pm we didnt get seated until 15mins after arriving. Once we seated we went for food to start off the beef in black bean sauce was very undercooked and thickly cut, and the prawns were uncleaned and still had poo in them. The customers service was dreadful they waited for us to be seated and eating and came over talking over over food saying payments had to be made upfront which wasn't a problem it just wasn't mentioned when we first arrived or when we booked . This is the second time being unhappy with the food so I am very reluctant to return again

My partner and myself enjoyed a very nice meal here! Our server, Eddie, was very accommodating and very friendly. We paid for our meal upfront, and ordered our drinks at the same time- this was no problem as I’m sure there can be quite an issue with people leaving without paying. There were plenty of choices of food, seafood, a full carvery with selections of meat, tepenyaki- my partner got some nice steaks from here. A selection of Indian- comes with naan bread. Chinese dishes, and Italian section with pasta, garlic bread and pizza!! And then the dessert section, with cakes, icecream machine, plenty of sweets. We really enjoyed our meal here, and will most definitely be returning.

The worst place. Food was stail and hard also freezing cold. Staff were very rude and not professional as we complained about the food and they raised their voice. Will never come back here also my boyfriend bit into his chicken and it was pink 🤮.

Our family of 5 went to Bristol Cosmo on 19th April 2024 to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. We had a brilliant time and the food was great! Special thank you to Ujwal and his team who welcomed us and served us. We will definitely visit again🙂.

Frist time I've been here ,I usually go za za,but my mate wanted to come here ,I loved it ,found the seating very nice, clean and tidy the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent ,we had to pay before hand not a problem ,,will certainly be going again

Good service and great experience

Visited recently, it seemed far too busy for the volume of food on offer, often a lot of the trays were empty and still so when going up for another plate, not quick enough to restock in such a busy time. Leftovers of rice were so old and dehydrated it had turned rock solid again, unfortunately didn't realise until it was cracking on my teeth. I didn't think there was enough variety of food in all honesty. I will however highly recommend the salt and pepper chips, this was the only food I enjoyed that was on offer. I did not think it was good value for money for 22.99 each I would have expected a lot better. They do an offer where a birthday guest can eat for free, be sure to quote this on the booking, I thought that was a nice touch. We were waiting too long to be seated as there was only one person back and forth taking people to tables. You have to pay for the food up front, and we got drinks from the bar and pay as you go throughout the meal, for those of you that don't have the refillable that is, you can just self serve after you've paid for that. I didn't enjoy the atmosphere as there seemed to be too much hustle and bustle it was just all round too busy, we visited on a Friday night between 6 and 8 FYI. Parking is a short reasonable walk from the restaurant, we parked in the west end car park nearby. Unfortunately I would not recommend or care to visit again.

This place in Bristol offers a buffet worth the money! Apart from drinks you pay for separately, everything else is in the cost! We paid 25 pounds per head for the buffet. The meals are super! I enjoyed the lamb, pork and prawns! The rice well prepared and tasty as well. For the many times you can go for main meals, you will still have the opportunity to top up with great deserts! From fruits to cake to ice cream or chocolates, you are in for a good time when at Cosmo!

Pre-covid cosmos was the best to go to for a buffet. I went there during once restrictions were lifted, but the food selection was limited compared to how it was before covid. Yesterday, I went thinking normality came back, but I was disappointed to see that not much has changed. I always preferred cosmos, but from yesterday experience, the quality of food declined while prices have increased. The food quality and price increase clearly are not on the same par. Very disappointing experience yesterday. Our server was great.

It's ok, not my fave place or style of restaurant, but my son likes it here....food is buffet style so no service required, all our drinks were refillable, so no service required....

The food is so good and I enjoyed to stay in cosmo

Been here many times the staff are helpful and the floor layout is easy to navigate. Recently I tried the carvery section and the beef serving was very generous. The only disappointment was on the grill as the squid and scallop wasn't a option, I hope that's not a permanent change.

We went to Cosmos for my hen do as a large group. Initially when I booked I said in the email that a few of us were vegan. Booking was confirmed and nothing was mentioned about the vegan menu. When we arrived the waiter commented that I had said there were vegans in the email and he just wanted to let me know there were limited vegan options. Why was I not told this in the confirmation email? There was very little vegan choice and certainly not worth £25. Also when I booked I choose the time slot 17.30 - 19.15 and due to there being lots of us and a special occasion we needed the full time we had been allocated. The waiter, however, half way through the meal told me we needed to leave by 19.05 so they could clear and prepare the table for the next booking. We did actually stay until 19.15 as I told him we wouldn't be leaving until then as that was what we had booked. The experience was disappointing and I would not eat here in the future.

Our relatives in Bristol took us to Cosmo buffet for dinner. It's been a while since we last went to a buffet. We had a pre booked time slot and we all sat down at the designated time. There was a large selection of food, not the biggest I have seen, but enough for probably the pickiest of eaters. The food does have flavour, not the strongest, but not bland. It would range from English roasts to asian stir fries. All in all it was a great meal with family where everyone was able to enjoy something they liked. Probably the two thing that was annoying was that the salad bar wasnt large and there wasn't a larger selection of desserts. However, I probably won't have been able to eat more if there was anyways.
