I've been going here for years for takeaway because it's a great local, one of the best. I've also phoned them back in the past to say thanks for such a great curry, fist bump the chef etc. I decided to write a review this time because the Lamb Naga (normal, not tikka!) i had the other night was out of this world; Meat cooked to perfection, the sauce consistency spot-on and the flavour beautiful. It was also one of the spiciest id ever had! Lush. The sides of chana masala and dal samba were tastey and fantastic too. Well done to Said for great customer service and the chefs for producing such delights. Dan - Woodside.

Food came under cooked pure pink chicken & very watery. When called the shop they refused a refund and didn't believe the chicken was pink. No customer service skills at all rude. Told me for my complaint I am now blocked for calling along side banned.

My wife and I ate here on a quiet Monday night, whilst staying in a nearby hotel, and really enjoyed the experience. Lovely friendly welcome and really good food at a reasonable price. Vegetarian and gluten free friendly menu. Recommend.

So tasty, Ordered 2 Peshwaris, Chicken Tikka Masala and a Chicken balti , 10/10 Quick collection and lovely staff.

I had a takeaway from here, delivered. over an hour wait on a Monday evening??!! Food was cold and watery. Last time I had takeaway from here food was in in 25 minutes and was amazing however this time was shocking

Food was just under an hour late freezing food parts of order was missing. Not impressed. All they offered in compensation was 1 free can of drink!

Not the most salubrious neighbourhood, but near a hotel I was staying at with work. Empty throughout my visit, but loads of deliveries going out. No licence, but convenient co- op 20 yards away with a good choice of chilled wine and beer. Welcome and service very friendly and efficient. Menu as you would expect. Food delicious and only £22.50 for poppadoms with chutney etc, prawn puri, chicken jalfrezi, rice and keema naan. Pretty good for Bristol.

The Onion Bhajis were re heated. The 'Balti' was OK, (chicken was quite dry), but it wasn't served in a Balti dish. (Was it really a Balti?) The chairs are disintegrating and need recovering or replacing. The carpet needs a thorough clean. Overall, quite disappointing. I won't be going back.

I've never dined in the restaurant but always get my takeaways from here. The price is very reasonable and the food is so tasty...

After a hour of waiting starters were cold so was main meal a hour later complained food was taken away and bought back exactly the same ☹️no table food warmers as is normal in a Indian restaurant!!!! 3 hours later left after waiting for ages for the bill.Seems staff are more concerned with phone orders than people eating in restaurant were forgotten ☹️☹️

GREAT Indian Restaurant and Takeaway. Using it since the "New" owner's took over. Excellent.. One of the Best..Great food. Highly recommended.. Bob Chapman.. The best by far. Great Chef but good food takes time, be patient and wait. Or go somewhere else. I have tried most places and tonight was the best, and NO oil. p.s The Best Chef//Tandoori chef and the Waiter are now the new owners. Try. You will love it.

Take away an hour overdue, cold and inedible even though they are located less than 2 minutes from us.. If you have nothing better to do with your money on a Saturday than throw it in the bin then this is your place. AVOID!

I've been meaning to write this for years. The food from this place is really, really good. I've not eaten in ever though as we prefer a Saturday night take away! They offer free delivery as well over a certain amount and within a certain distance from the restaurant. Whenever I call, Sayeed always knows my name and is so pleasant on the phone! We had booked a late time 10pm as attending an Ice Hockey game which actually overran. The restaurant was less than 10 minutes from Cribbs Causeway. We arrived late and were the only ones in the restaurant which was a shame as the quality of the food was excellent. One starter, two mains with rice, one naan bread and a couple of soft drinks £33 which was outstanding value. They do not serve alcohol but have no problem with you taking your own. Will definitely visit again whenever in Bristol.

Considering this was one of our favourite curry houses tonight was a massive disappointment. We went to the curry house face to face to order and I watched the guy write everything down. Came home minus a set of onions baijihiis yet we ordered 3 and 3 were written and recieved 2 lots. 1 x pweshari was missing but the 2 x garlic bread were there. 1 x jalfrezi was so full of bones. A friend actually choked! The remaining curries were the worst we have had from there and we're thrown in the bin with another eatery ordered from. Safe to say this went from the best curry house to the worst in 5 minutes. Never ever again! Even face to face orders they still miss stuff and give you the most shocking of cooking!

Lovely curry, our closest best takeaway. Recommended the house special. Nice service. Always friendly. We like to collect but they do have tables inside. Good portions, not too oily or spicy, just right for us. A special weekly treat. Fair prices too. Thanks. See you again soon.

FANTASTIC! Keep going back for more. This is one of the best Indian restaurants in Bristol at the moment. Always a friendly welcome when I arrive to collect a takeaway - something I've been doing a lot recently because the food is so good. Everything tastes really fresh and you can tell that they use proper ingredients and the chefs know what they're doing. I've tried the chicken bhuna and chicken tikka rezala and they were pefect. So many interesting dishes on the menu, I'll be trying some more. Not eaten in so far, only takeaways - but will have to go for a 'sit down' soon. It's BYO for drinks. Always surprised that such a fantastic little restaurant isn't busier as it's always quiet when I have visited. It deserves to be busy as the food is great, it's very well run and the prices are sensible. If you're this side of Bristol, I recommend you try it soon. Top marks and many thanks to the team at Henbury Balti. I'll be back!

Amaing little place, Staff was friendly. Good atmosphere. Customers where locals and was very friendly and full of praise. Don't serve alcohol but allow you to bring your own for a small corkage fee. Food was amazing, Very large selection. Portion size was good, defeated me and my colleague who are very hungry people 😂 Would definitely recommend Nd will be visiting again if in the area.

Very tasty but their meat is so so, so I usually go for veg curry here. I can't remember the name of the dish but I really liked the curry that had lots of whole spices in it.

I have used the same Indian takeaway for 30 years but it closed permanently so I have tried the henbury balti house looks like I will be using this one for the next 30 years. EXCELLENT 😌

Food was really good, best I've had in a while!

Phoned and placed our order to collect. Was told 1/2 hour but only had to wait 5 mins in the restaurant to a very polite, well presented young man. Hubby had chicken tikka masala and commented ‘it’s the best he’s had’. I had lamb tikka mirche garlic which was just as juicy as the tikka masala with an extra kick, very nice. Just one criticism, garlic nan bread was cold but my pashwari nan was warm, very tasty.

I very rarely come across an Indian where no matter what curry you order it always has great flavour. Your portion sizes are fantastic value, and you deliver to SB which is a very big bonus!! Everything we've ordered has always come hot and fresh. Lamb Tikka is Perfection, Curries- Perfection, Rice- Perfection, Naan Breads also Perfect!!! Can't wait to come in and have a sit down meal when you're back open!!

Had a takeaway delivered from here, by Just Eat, on New Years Day, and it was outstanding. One of the best curries I have eaten in a very long time. Good menu, not just the bog standard stuff, and the gravies of the dishes I selected were amazing - thick, rich, full of spices, and full of flavour. Side dishes and accompaniments were also excellent. Lamb and chicken were both proper, good sized pieces of meat, not like the sort of reformed pieces you get in some places, and they were tender and succulent. Naan bread could have been warmer, but not the end of the world. Thank you to all staff concerned, I have found myself a new favourite curry restaurant.

Had a takeaway the first time I went here and it was great value for money while still being good quality food with generous portions. Haven't been anywhere else for Indian anywhere else ever since! This place is a real hidden gem, would highly recommend to anyone. They have all Covid safe procedures in place for takeaway or delivery.

Very bad restaurant, ordered food at 5.53pm and still waiting, its now 8.21pm, phoned a couple of times and had the phone put down, my wife phoned on her phone over 20 times with no reply, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

Was looking forward to a curry after hearing good things. Unfortunately got it home and while part way through eating it found hairs in the food 🤢 not what you expect!! Wasn’t sure whether to eat it or comb it.

This is the second time we have visited. This balti house was a short distance from bristol and the reviews were good. What can i say? I wish i could pick it up and place it round the corner from where i live. The food was delicious,properly cooked tandoori chicken, real individual flavoured sauces, great service, lovely nan, rice and sides. I loved my shaslick bhuna. My daughter had the dhansak and my partner had the bengal chicken which was citrusy and lovely. Absolutely love this curry house. I cannot fault it. An absolute must if visiting the area.

Service was a bit bumpy last night due to a tech issue, but the food was fabulous which is the main thing. This is only the second time we have ordered from here but we will just have to keep coming back!

Working away stopping at premier inn Cribbs I googled nearest Indian and came up with Henbury Balti house. Short distance down road ordered takeaway but would of happily sat in as inviting restaurant. Very friendly staff and happy to advise, I ordered the Hara chicken with Keema rice garlic naan. Waited 15 minutes came out with free poppadoms. Piping hot fresh and very testy, next time in Bristol will definitely go back have recommended to friends in Bristol.

The best Indian in Bristol buy far. Mumtaz British raj bay leaf all ant got a patch on this place. Granted does not look inviting from out side. Get an Indian from here take it home. You won’t be disappointed believe me ask for vindaloo extra hot ok

Portions are too small. They put lots of sauce to make it look big. Very expensive

Disappointed. Visited tonight and had a chicken tikka masala, chicken wasn't cooked through properly. But because it wasn't pink apparently it was good enough. No discussion about it, no sorry. Expected to pay full price for a curry that wasn't edible. Slow service. More concerned about serving the phone order customers than the restaurant. Won't be going back there !!!

My wife and I have ordered takeaway from this restaurant for nearly 5 years and it's been excellent nigh on every time. I've eaten alot of Currys in my time and have a Dad bod to prove it and this place is easily in my top 20.

It’s in Crow Lane but don’t be put off, easy to park, clean, good food reasonably priced, good service and BYO with Co-op and bargain beers almost next door! You can’t go wrong.

El personal debe haber estado bastante ocupado, ya que nos llevó un tiempo estar sentados, pero una vez que nos sentamos, el servicio fue rápido. La comida estaba absolutamente deliciosa. Tenía un Dansak vegetal que no era como cualquier otro que haya probado. Compartimos un chili y ajo naan que tenía pedacitos de coco, y esto fue absolutamente increíble. Volvería solo por el naan. El arroz también era genial, ya que era con sabor a ajo. El personal era amable y el restaurante tiene un ambiente relajado. Yo lo recomendaría.

Reservamos una mesa aquí para evitar menús exorbitantes de San Valentín y no nos decepcionó. El restaurante estaba casi vacío, otra pareja y algunos pedidos para llevar. La comida era fresca y delicadamente condimentada. Tenía el cordero badhonia que era encantador, como lados que compartimos: Sag Paneer, Gobi Aloo y Dahl Samba. Partner tenía un karahi. Comida y servicio encantador; el frente de la casa chap parecía estar constantemente en movimiento con pedidos por teléfono e internet, pero esto no afectó el nivel de servicio. BYO así que la otra mitad estaba en su elemento (!) Mucho estacionamiento en Crow Lane en la noche.

Only used the takeaway service in which they have performed well. I feel there are are better restaurants around. Lack of chicken in the dishes by comparison to most other restaurants. Chicken jalfrezi is my go to curry but the menu here is quite good so I feel the need to try different meals.

He vivido en Henbury durante años y nunca había mirado dentro de la Casa Balti hasta hace poco, cuando me apetecía una comida india, soy bastante nuevo en la comida india. Hice un pedido para recoger y cuando fui a recoger me di cuenta de lo calmado y relajante que estaba, el personal amable, las velas en la mesa, etc., un ambiente muy acogedor. Luego regresé y cené con mi hermano para un regalo de cumpleaños. Elegimos currys y lados que nunca habíamos tenido antes y realmente lo disfrutamos. Volveremos pronto con un grupo de amigos y nuestros hijos, ya que fue genial. ¡Los precios también eran geniales!

Mediocre food. But wow, the delivery service was REALLY bad. Very late. The guy couldn't find my place despite leaving specific instructions in the comments... In fairness they were apparently slammed. But unless the price is right, I'd suggest an alternative.
