Wagamama in Milton Keynes

We went there for a family lunch, the food was great food, long wait .. but again food was delish. Staff were very polite and place was clean

Alright, let’s talk about Wagamama in the Midsummer shopping mall, Milton Keynes. Now, normally when you think of a restaurant in a shopping mall, you brace yourself for screaming kids and the aroma of pretzels mixing with cheap cologne from a nearby department store. But Wagamama? Stunning. It’s like stepping into an entirely different world where all the chaos outside fades, and you’re left with a bowl of food so good it makes you forget you’re sat next to a Boots. First off, the food. It’s tasty. Properly tasty. Whether you’re going for the classic ramen, the katsu curry, or something adventurous like the firecracker chicken (which is exactly as hot as it sounds, by the way), it’s all cooked to perfection. Fresh, flavorful, and it comes out fast. It's the kind of place where you don't have to wait around, wondering if they’ve forgotten about you. Now, the service. Brilliant. The staff are friendly, helpful, and they actually seem like they enjoy being there. None of that robotic, “Here’s your food, now leave me alone” attitude. They check on you just the right amount, and they’re more than happy to explain the menu if you’re staring blankly at it like you don’t know the difference between udon and soba. And here’s something I never thought I’d say—paying is fun. Yes, you can pay with a QR code. Scan it, pay on your phone, and you’re done. No waiting for the bill, no awkward waving at staff while they’re busy. It’s genius. The toilets? Clean. Yep, not much more to say—clean, modern, no complaints. So, Wagamama in Milton Keynes, despite being in a shopping mall, is top-notch. Great food, great service, and I’ll be their client for a long time. Just try the ramen, and you’ll see why.

Great atmosphere, super friendly staff, especially Katie. The food was plentiful and delicious, although, maybe the main dish, pad Thai was a little cold. Everything was nicely presented and good value for money.

Sticky tables rude staff food average. Bad internal layout where you have to sit close to others ideal when you just want a relaxing lunch. (Not) We had screaming noisy kids with equally noisy parents so moved outside. Won’t return there

Great food, ideal for pad thai cravings 🤭 Portions are just as they should be - not too small and not too big. Gyoza dumplings with truffles and mushrooms were so tasty too. I was pleasantly surprised with green macha with strawberry latte drink - tasted delicious! And the stuff is very friendly and always smiling. Definitely recommend it 😌

Good selection of asian food with plenty of vegan options. Food was delicious and the presentation was spot-on! Service was fast even though the restaurant was quite busy. Will definitely return!

Had lunch recently with my friend at Wagamama CMK and we had a great experience. The atmosphere was lively and the staff were friendly and attentive, especially Rachel, she’s an absolute star!! Great selection of dishes with vibrant flavours, everything we ordered was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the Crispy duck saku saku soba and my friend loved her Phad thai. Highly recommend!!!

The steak teppanyaki soba sauce is very good, but the cookedness of the noodles is not very even, some are too burnt and some are too bland. ASAHI beer is brewed in Italy. Sure enough, the European Asahi tastes different🥲 But the service Ren Yun is very friendly🥰It is a very lively dining place.

the service we received yesterday was genuinely shocking. have dined here on several occasions and thoroughly enjoyed each prior visit. i work in hospitality and i would never even think to speak to my tables in the manner our waitress spoke to us. one of my party members noticed that there was a qr code on the placemats and we assumed that it was what you use to order as it's like that in some places. we were waiting a while to order and therefore thought to give that a go, only to find out our table number didn't exist. in my workplace, that happens if the table hasn't yet been opened so we thought that was the case here too and politely pointed out to our waitress that the table number wasn't working. that garnered a snarky and condescending response which is not what you want when you're out for a birthday meal. she took our drink order begrudgingly and we waited maybe 15 minutes for those drinks to be served. by that point some of our party had decided that maybe eating here wasn't the best idea but as we were out for a friend's birthday we stayed. we gave our waitress a little wave and politely asked if we could order as they were soon to close, to which she rolled her eyes and told us to wait one second. after coming back she snappily asked if we were okay and pointed out that we waved her over. genuinely the experience was downright awful, we meant no harm whatsoever and just wanted to enjoy some food after a long day. granted maybe she was having a rough day but that is not a reason to ruin other people's at a place where many come to celebrate special occasions.

If ordering for delivery expect to have missing items about 50% of the time. Obviously this is rubbish when one person can't eat and the best you are going to get is a refund and no replacement food. Not worth the hassle.

Great food and great and fast service.

New cafetieres could do with being just a bit bigger, as can't get two full cups out of one, but on saying that cheap enough to have one each.

Great place to stop or takeaway with friendly staff & great food. Always busy so a good sign. Haven't been well worth a visit.

Great food, consistent across branches. Friendly welcome by the staff. I just finished an exhausting day, visit there really allowed me to relax and enjoy a calm evening. Will visit again.

Everything about our visit was perfect. The staff were awesome and the food was delicious.

Disappointing because the reviews say otherwise but was massively unimpressed. Got a takeaway, arrived at the earliest time and unfortunately the food was already pretty cold upon checking in the car. Haven’t been in a while but the flavour of the chicken yakitori has either changed or was just very off, didn’t taste anything like it normally does. Got the crispy duck saku soba as the main and what a waste of money. Not being the cheapest of places, the duck was dry and soggy and again the actual flavour of the meal was so off. In the end gave the duck to my dog and didn’t eat the noodles. I know takeaway can always be hit and miss with the quality but this was beyond disappointing and a massive waste. I will say the quick service and friendless of the staff was great.

Really good people work here and very friendly and helpful. It was easy to choose what food we wanted from the menu, and the staff was helpful with the best sellers. We had four starters just to try a few different things and they were great and tasty, and two mains. the duck was so gooood. I will definitely be trying the whole manu in the next couple of months. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone as I was missing out. See you next week lol

We stopped by for a bite to eat during shopping due to suddenly being famished. We certainly chose the right venue. Bao buns to start (Beef hirata) followed by pad Thai and Shu Shiok chicken. We were so impressed with the bao buns we had more (pork belly). The staff were so friendly and on top of the game. It's gotta be 5 stars all round. Can't wait to come back.... 👍

I would recommend this venue, 100%. The service was not only exceptional but extremely friendly, especially towards the children. It’s unusual to experience such wonderful service venue went out with the children and it’s definitely worth reviewing as the staff were wonderful. Rhys whom serviced us was wonderful as was all the staff from being greeted and throughout the service. I can’t fault any part of our experience. Thank you so much

We stopped here to eat on our first day back on england and so happy we did. Not only was the food delightful, but all the hostess' were amazing and attentive.

I used to think Asian restaurants and noodle bars were modestly priced places to eat. Certainly no longer!!!! Mains here are around £15, beer £7. So for two people a meal is £60-70

Horrible service today. Being point blank ignored by the staff. I look at one person and the other replies. What on earth is that? They are obviously trying hard to avoid getting a tip. Ridiculous

Really great dishes on a widely varied menu, but seating isn't ideal, giving minimal room and comfort.

I went here for lunch with one of our suppliers, the food was decent and the service was good. I just hate that the main comes before the starters and everyone gets their food at different times. It's the most annoying thing and feels weird to eat without people and if you wait, then your food gets cold.

Despite being busy, customer service was great, and food was delicious "Firecrackers Toufu" is my favourite dish.

I had nice lunch with my daughter. The food was absolutely delicious!!! We had a ramen and for dessert smoked chocolate cake. The service was outstanding!!! We were served by Alina! And my daughter loved her Drink🤩

Never had a bad meal here and the service is always good. For a high street chain, you cannot go wrong. We chose a selection of small dishes on this occasion and were not disappointed. The Bang Bang Cauliflower certainly has a kick to it!

Lovely food and service, portions have been reduced and the price higher than average meals. Shame as it leaves you still hungry and not worth having when you still end up eating again after a visit.

Can't fault anything, only disappointment was it took 3 attempts to get our deserts as everything we ordered, the server came back to.say it had run out.

Lovely early valentines dinner, was served by Katie, was very welcoming and had amazing customer service. Had such great recommendations and helped with all parts of the menu. Amazing energy.

Ordered food on same tab, my mates came out over 5 minutes before mine did. He’d waited for mine to arrive so his went cold. Chefs were banging metal against metal the entire time whilst chopping. I have been to wagamamas a lot of times and never heard a noise like it before. Staff were chatting away to each other. Paid on app and didn’t get a thank you or bye on the way out.

Had pork ramen and the pork was not melt in your mouth like other places with was solid and over cooked and the broth was flavourless, the service was brilliant servants are very polite but the food ruined it for my experience

Service was awful. Staff chatting to themselves. No-one came to check everything at the end. We paid on the app, no good bye. Basics just not good. Good was so dry, chicken was yuk and dry and just not nice. Most disappointing trip.

Food is generally always good at these, regardless of location. Service though can be variable (though to be fair it's normally good too). Service here was excellent and the staff genuinely seemed to give a damn about the experience.

Had a lovely tasty gluten free meal but sadly portions for gluten free are so much smaller than normal menu 🙃

Ordered Prawn Firecracker - I couldn't believe it but this main dish had 4, yes just 4 tiny prawns that were about a cm in diameter. When it came to paying the bill and a whopping £15 for this dish, I told our server that the dish was really disappointing with just 4 small prawns at that price to which she replied "You should have mentioned it when I asked you how everything was with your food!" I was really shocked. I told her it was hard to know at the start when she asked when we are just 2 bites into our food and immersed in conversation. I mean who sits there and counts the prawns in their dish when it's served trying to fish them all out from the medley of all the onions and peppers, etc, to be ready to inform the server when she decides to come over to check on us? Anyway, there were no apologies or any kind of offer for rectification. Absolutely appalling service and it has put me off Wagamama for the future. Pity as I have loved Wagamama for a long time but this was unacceptable from that calibre of a restaurant.

Very welcoming restaurant, great music, the non-alcoholic cocktail was delicious, the food very tasty, the staff very helpful and professional.

Ordered the chicken donburi both for me and my daughter both of us received food poisoning. This will be the last time I eat at Wagamamas horrendous.

Wagamamas for me is very much like McDonald's you just can't get it wrong! May I note that wagamamas is on a whole different level to McDonalds! The food is always amazing, fair priced and cooked perfectly! I've always found the service to be very attentive and the restaurant to be cleaned and well maintained in this branch. I'll be back soon! Thanks to all the team at wagamamas!

They play music loud like if you are in a freaking night club you can't even talk to each other. Food is decent but overpriced

First timer. Food was delicious and service was super... Kat was very friendly.

The CKC game was pretty much on point. Service was patchy but I think we were there during a shift change. Toilets a bit gross, unfortunately.

Daughter and I didn’t enjoy our food. Ramen and bao arrived cold. Ramen soup was tasteless, left the majority of it. What a waste of money. Atmosphere busy and compact, however staff were attentive and nice, that’s probably why I didn’t complain about the food. I wouldn’t recommend unfortunately

Kept waiting when we could see empty tables. Server didn’t know how to use her handheld order taker. She managed to forget to order some dishes, even though she repeated everything, so some of us hadn’t eaten anything when others had finished theirs. Really a good example of very poor management letting their own staff down. As we left we walked past empty tables to an even longer queue!

Broth is NOT hot enough which degraded the food. Too noisy surrounding.

Had a lovely time in Wagamama’s today with one of my friends. Food was great (as always!) but the best thing about our time here was interacting with the loveliest staff - especially Daria and Charlotte! Very attentive, kind and super friendly.

It can get crowded at times. When you order in there are QR codes you can use to order food or just ask a waiter. Then when you order online to take away they have it ready for you on time. Nice food for a good price

09/09/23. 19.30 Had a lovely dinner in the Xscape, Milton Keynes. Our waitress Aliyah was a new employee . But gave us excellent service and was very informative and friendly. Meal was perfectly timed for us to go and see our film.

I haven’t ate Wagamama before, so today I go and gave it a try. But it turns out I have ate the worst ramen I have ever ate in the UK. Very disappointed.💀

Service is good, the place is clean. I ordered curry prawn, grilled chicken ramen, and spicy chicken ramen. The prawn lost its taste, ramen too soft and the ramen soup tasted like water. Will put into my blacklist definitely

My child likes to go to Wagamama but after our last outing of food contamination was a bit hesitant but went along for a second chance. Also, potentially using the compensation voucher sent for the last disaster. We sat there 40min after food for the manager to work out why the voucher wasn’t working. In the end, we paid the whole bill with the manager taking the details to come back to me to sort out the the bill. This was on bank holiday Monday. Till date no response, emailed the MK office, no response. I am not after a voucher but own up. This is not pleasant.

Staff to busy for politeness, apart from senior member. Food was okay, waited 15 mins for bottle of water. Issued with wrong starter, then overpriced my bill to compensate...you must be desperate for the money for your mistake, so keep it! Won't be back in a hurry. From beginning to end poor apart from senior waitress. Needs junior staff training and ownership for mistakes.

Jess was a 10/10, very lovely, optimistic and friendly woman! If there are any awards Wagamama gives to great colleagues then I suggest that Jess deserves it! Thankyou Jess for making our day :)

Great Food and Service, Minor Lapse ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Had a really good time at Wagamama! The food was delicious, and they didn't keep us waiting. The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome. Only downside was that after we finished off our mains, they didn't come by to clear our plates. Ended up paying online and skipping dessert because of this. But all in all, a solid dining experience! Would come back for sure. 🍔🥗🍹

What to say? First time I ate there and the service was superb and the food... even better! Absolutely delicious. I will be returning to feed my face!

went to eat at Bletchley stadium restaurant yesterday 12.07.23. Ordered a yasai gyoza ramen, after almost eating 1/3rd of the bowl, I found something unusual in my food. I asked the waitress to check what it was. I was sat there 5-6 minutes and nobody came to tell me what it was. The manager for the day then came to ask if we wanted to order anything else. I was very disappointed as we had stopped eating and were waiting to hear back from someone about what it was in the food as it looked like meat. The lady was the manager and on my further questioning said it was “shredded beef”. I am absolutely gutted by the major blunder committed by the kitchen as this is against my religious beliefs and also my eating habits (vegetarian) . The girl did take it off the bill but that was not the point. Few things wrong here: 1. Looked like the staff was trying to hide/ coverup the major blunder by the kitchen. 2. Kitchen should be extra careful with prepping of vegetarian/vegan menu. 3 My dinner was ruined. Even though the dish was taken off the bill, no alternative food was offered until I asked for it again and this was for my young child. I am a regular visitor to Wagamama but this has really left a bad taste in my mouth. I would appreciate if your staff can be offered strict instructions and further training on food handling. I did email but haven’t heard back anything which is a shame for a big house like Wagamama.
