Banana Tree continues to be one of our go-to spots for a delicious and satisfying meal in a fuss free restaurant. The flavours are consistently bold and authentic, and the quality of the food is always excellent. You can really tell they put care into their dishes. The service is always attentive, friendly, and efficient, making for a smooth and pleasant dining experience. The ambience is warm and welcoming, with a relaxed yet lively vibe that makes it a great spot for both casual meals and family outings. It’s also very family-friendly, with a good setup for kids, which is always appreciated. If I had one criticism, it would be that the portion sizes seem to have shrunk considerably compared to what they used to be. While the food still delivers on flavour and quality, the smaller portions are very much noticeable. That said, Banana Tree remains a solid option. The overall experience is always positive, and I’ll definitely continue to return.

Not only is the food always delicious, but the staff are also incredibly kind — they even remember our favourite meal every time we visit! Their Chicken Laksa is so good, we can’t resist ordering it every time. At this rate, if we haven’t already, we’ll soon be known as “the Laksa people” 😁

We visited Banana Tree in Milton Keynes for dinner with our family friends. The ambience was pleasant and created a nice setting for the evening. The food was decent, though nothing exceptional. One area that could use improvement is the service — the staff didn’t come across as very welcoming, and their lack of smiles made the experience feel a bit cold. While they may not have been intentionally rude, a friendlier and more hospitable approach would have made a big difference, especially in the hospitality industry where warmth and friendliness are key.

A really nice treat for a meal. Food was lovely. Nice choice of menu. Cocktails are 2 for 1, but expensive and small.... starters & mains were delicious... desserts, a little let down. Would definitely recommend, but I do not recommend the added service charge which is not mentioned on either menu, nor at point of payment, and is supposedly optional. Service was not worth the amount taken, with a decidedly grumpy bar tender, and a couple of waitresses who were too busy to service our table.... food great! Service not so.

I am not a fan of chain restaurants, but Banana Tree never disappoints. If you're interested in Pan-Asian cuisine and want more than just Thai or Vietnamese options, this is the place for you. While I wouldn't claim it has the best pad Thai, it's comparable to some of the best Pan-Asian restaurants in the UK (outside central London). Of course, you can't really compare the food available in Asia and Australia. I will definitely return to Banana Tree with friends and family when I'm in the UK and in the mood for Asian food.

Always amazing food and service

A great place for quick and tasty Asian food! Always a big fan of the pad Thai from here. We also really enjoyed the Korean wings to start. They do take student and NHS discount which always makes it much more affordable for those that meet this requirement! The staff are friendly!

He took great care of us, ensuring we had everything we needed and making our dining experience truly enjoyable. From recommendations to quick service, he was excellent in every way. We are in MK for a few evenings and staying nearby. We popped in with no reservation and had a very tasty supper. All ingredients seemed super fresh … my Thai green curry was light and super flavoursome as was Hubby’s katsu curry. We had great service too … all in all a great meal.

I had a great evening out with my friends and the service from Josh topped it all off, he was amazing and so helpful! The food was also really good that Josh had recommended to us

I had a lovely dining experience at Banana Tree for my sisters birthday which was, made even better by our wonderful waitress, Ramona. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel completely at home from start to finish. The food was outstanding—every dish beautifully presented and full of rich, balanced flavor. The chef clearly knows what they’re doing, but it was Ramona’s thoughtful service that truly elevated the evening. Highly recommend. We’ll definitely be back—especially if Ramona is working!

Another Banana Tree in a different location and wow, food was amazing will upload a few picks, I recommend the chicken Singapore noodles to my work colleagues and it didn't disappoint. Back again and it was awesome. Staff are lush and food is cooked fresh and quick. I absolutely love this place.

We celebrated Mother’s Day at the Banana Tree restaurant. Booking online was simple, received the confirmation promptly. At the restaurant we were seated in good time. We took the 2 for 1 offer on Cocktails 🍸 The Thai food selection was very good, enjoyed it very much. Dishes devoured- Thai Chicken Massaman, Penang Chicken Curry, Ramen, Firecracker wings - all delicious. Staff were friendly. Had a nice time

Food was really good but when we ask first starters main it turned up as two starters on a bowl and that's not a good service disappointed as the price was quite expensive with two starters .... Disappointed 😭

Whenever I’m in Milton Keynes for work, I often stay at a hotel very close to Banana Tree restaurant , and it has quickly become one of my go-to spots for a fantastic meal. The food here is always spot-on, full of bold and authentic flavors. I particularly enjoy the Laksa and the Beef Rendang—both absolutely delicious! Having recently traveled to Malaysia, I was surprised to find that I actually preferred the flavors and textures at Banana Tree over some of the dishes I had there. The attention to detail in the cooking really shines through. A special shout-out to Alex, who provided exceptional service. He was friendly, attentive, and knew how to connect with guests, making the whole dining experience even better. Highly recommend Banana Tree Milton Keynes for anyone craving delicious authentic Asian flavors with top-tier service. I’ll definitely be back!

Broke my fast today with my cousins at Banana Tree MK. Was greeted and served by a friendly waiter named Alex. Was seated promptly and food came out so quickly too. Very tasty and service was fantastic. Highly recommend this place
