The service was the best thing about this restaurant. I love spicy food however after ordering the jalfrazi I could not eat my meal, it was too hot, my mouth was suffering and it was not enjoyable as I couldn't eat it. At no point during my meal did anyone asked if the food was OK either.

Ate here for the first time with my football team. There were 13 of us in total and we were treated excellently by Ravi and Santosh. Both waiters were very friendly and made no mistakes with our large order. The food was exceptional especially the prawn dishes and the mutton rolls. Thank you guys 5 stars from me!!

Apollo Banana Leaf offers one of the best Sri Lankan food experiences I’ve ever had. The dishes are boldly spiced, slightly fiery, and bursting with authentic flavors — clearly made by locals who know their craft. This isn’t a place you come to for atmosphere: the setting is basic and far from cozy, but the food more than makes up for it. If you’re after real, unapologetically traditional Sri Lankan cuisine, this spot is a must. It’s a hidden gem for anyone craving something genuine, intense, and absolutely unforgettable.

Can't say enough good things about the food and service on offer here. Tried 3 different mains and the spinach side and they were all beautifully cooked, not at all greasy/oily like so many places and you really felt the pride and love of the kitche

I got the lamb chettinad, which tasted pretty decent/good and was on the salty side. I was a bit disappointed with the portion size as it came out, given it costs £8.50~ if my memory does not fail me. This price is in line with other places, to be fair. However, the worst thing to me and what has primarily upset me is that a single roti is £3.25. I wasn't gonna have curry without a roti or something.. but yes despite my tiredness at the time arguably I am the fool who paid £3.25 for a single roti, despite knowing I was going to get a single roti. Again though, this might somewhat be in line with other places, though I haven't explored enough. That being said, the curry (eaten with the roti) was fairly filling despite its size though I wasn't too happy with the cost. As for the atmosphere, it was okay though oddly meals eaten by past patrons were left out and not cleaned on other tables. Perhaps this was to show the restaurant wasn't inactive, as only one person was present there when I went, and no-one was eating when I was. The server was chill, I did express my frustration about the portion size and we talked about it a bit. The main reason for my 2 stars is simply the value to result ratio and I am a bit bitter as a result (though yes I paid for this somewhat knowingly). I ended up paying around £11 for the meal you see in the pictures, a third of which came from a single roti. As such I wouldn't come here again, though I would consider it if I brought my own kind of bread.. That being said the meal itself was decent/good.
