First time ordering from Everest and it was excellent will now become my place too go for Indian food

2.5hr wait for a delivery and cold food!!!! Won’t be going here again, which is a shame as I’ve eaten inside a lot and generally had a good meal. You need to sort your service out Everest or you’ll lose a lot more customers.

Often choose this place as our go to but absolutely disappointed tonight. Order was an hour late and missing a key main course. Didn’t eat until 10pm despite ordering at 730pm. Not impressed and not sure we will order again!

Wrong meat. Gave us lamb instead of chicken gurkhali

OK so sometimes things get missed off orders, we all understand that. But it's a bit much when mentioned to the delivery driver who doesn't seem that fussed and you don't get the item delivered at all.

Went Saturday night, first time for a year. We had not been for a year because the service previously was so painfully slow. This time....even worse. Ordered at 8.20pm, got the starter at 9.25, the main course at 10.30. This was despite chasing it up 5 times. The table next to us left after having just a poppadom in 90 minutes. I think our food was eventually good, but by then we were so hungry, anything would have done...

We will not be returning. We used to love this restaurant but they seem to have expanded seating without increasing their kitchen / service capacity. We hadn't been in over a year due to the ridiculous wait time for the food last time we visited. We decided to give it another go with friends on Sat eve (only 6 of us so not a big party) our table was booked for 8pm, at 10.30pm we were still chasing up our food! The people on the table next to us walked out as they got fed up waiting. We were offered a drink due to the wait and they didn't even bring them all. There are so many better Indian restaurants in Grantham that value their customer experience.

It was one of the best Indian restaurant. The atmosphere is good and food was very delicious. Stuff was very friendly and smiley 😊

Took 1 and a half hours to get the food and a phone call to the restaurant, when the food came it was cold and chicken was very chewy.

Looked forward to this meal which was for a special celebration. It was delivered 20 minutes late so had to be reheated! Onion bhaji had no mint raita main dishes were very good but as I said had to be reheated. So sorry but cannot recommend.

Really like this place. Food has always been excellent. Chicken chilli chicken starter and chicken dhansak main is 10/10. Like all Indians eating in is a better option, but the takeaways we’ve had have been good too. I definitely recommend this place. .

Excellent as always! Sudan was a wonderful host and took great care of us. He made us the best mocktails we have ever had. The food was excellent as always, we will be back.

It may just be because it was a busy night but it's the first time we had tried it and the tikka tasted like creamy tomato soup (but I find all Indian in grantham are the same for that) but the passanda was beautiful

Awful from start to finish!!!!.. Service was awful, food not good. My friend had Chicken Tikka Masala, the sauce was so runny & looked liked tomato soup, she commented she had never had this dish tasting like this. My Bhuna was so bland compared to other Bhuna's I have had. Lime pickle tasted like they had tipped a pot of salt in it. Everytime I required a drink, we had to get their attention, not one member of staff actully asked us if we would like a drink even when the glasses were empty! I asked for a hot wipe, like you always get in an Indian after a meal , only to be told we don't have those & go to the toilet to wash your hands !!!! After the main meal, we were not asked if we would like dessert or coffee so we just left. I would never revisit again, it is a shame as this used to be a lovely place. I can see why the place was so empty!

Arrived at the stated time to collect a take away.I had to wait 20 minutes for the food to be ready, not what I’d expected. The food was good. No poppadums or pickles though.

food was Luke warm when delivery, poor quality and very tasteless.

First time had to call to chase delivery, then called as missing a rice, then called again as one of the dishes was completely wrong! Ordered a lamb dish (don’t eat chicken) and what arrived was chicken. After waiting for an hour and half from ordering to delivery to get wrong food. They sent new out and arrived at 2145, just shy of 2 hours from ordering. Never usually have an issue with Everest but today was just an absolute shambles.

A curry was missing from our order, let the restaurant know and they delivered it within 15 mins from the phone call. However ordered 2 portions of chips and there was hardly any at all. Otherwise a great tasting meal and overall very good ☺️

I Kathmandu Chicken Masala was it was VERY thick and tasty, was the best Indian.

great experience with takeaway, rang the restaurant as delivery was taking longer than expected through just eat and they checked straight away on the status of the order which was super helpful, great customer service! food was absolutely lovely too!

it took almost 2 hours from order to receipt. Estimate of arrival time was 8.20 to 8.40. food arrived at 9.20? had phoned to find out where it was, had been told 10 minutes maximum as its already out for delivery. I live 10 minutes walk from them. After 10 minutes it still hadn't arrived. I phoned back and asked for a refund. It then arrived, I didn't get the refund. Food was warm enough. tasty food but for the price I do expect good service, that's part of the experience after all.

First time I’ve used this shop and was very pleased. The order was delivered early and was still very hot. The food tasted good and some nice spices masala flavours. My only very slight criticism was there was too much!! I wanted to finish it but couldn’t. There was still enough to save for tomorrow.

Naan bread was burnt and only 6 chunks of chicken in the korma, more sauce than anything else !

After trying to find a Chinese in Grantham we came across Everest inn Indian first. Me and the gf Was not disappointed, lovely restaurant with good decor and the food was amazing, arguably the best Indian food we have tasted (and we have been to a lot lol) highly recommended if your in the area and the staff where very nice and welcoming. Will definitely be returning. 5*

We booked for our son’s birthday, the staff were incredibly helpful, fun & kind. The food was delicious and great service too. They went above & beyond, as after our meal they played happy birthday music, and presented our son with cake and candles. We usually have a take away from here, but will now be definitely dining in more. Thank you too all who made our visit so enjoyable

This place is lovely. The staff are friendly and helpful, even though they were rushed off their feet. A packed house on a Saturday evening. A good selection of vegetarian options, and very helpful with helping for vegan customer. Free cake for birthday too.

Shame about not receiving the mixed pickle tray, the other dishes were ok and tasty. Maybe would give one more chance in the future.

Delivered far too early and not up to the normal standard of food from here

Having booked a table for 7pm got to restaurant to see it was full then had to stand about till 7.45 was eventually shown to table 20 mins for drinks orders then soon after food order which didn't appear till 9pm . Food was good when it arrived. But clearly they book to many parties in for the restaurants capabilities. Shame.

I've been using the Everest since they have opened for dining in and takeaway, but last night , first of all we were seated our orders were taken, we got our poppadoms then there was several flies flying around our table and our food , this did persist and we told a waiter of the situation and we did move tables . We continued with our meal , the starters came , but then waiting for the main course !!!!!!! We were waiting over 40 minutes and still no food , we did ask where our food was they said a few minutes , 10 minutes later 1 main and 2 sides came, then 2 mains came out , both of them were incorrect and was not was ordered ,we told them straight away , they said they would sort it out , but left the other dishes in the table, only with my prompting did they take them off the table to keep warm, the correct dishes were then bought out and with the other dishes , the food was ok , not up to the standard of which we've had before At the end of the meal, we only got a sorry for the mistake, nothing about the slow service We'll have to seriously think about eating there again Somewhere that was so good , is now so mediocre

Pre-ordered, confirmation rec'd from Everest for delivery at 16.55. 17.15 rang the restaurant to find out where my food was. (Had to chase the restaurant on a number of occasions for previous orders) it's always the same answer . Let me check with with the kitchen (fine), but answer on EVERY occasion is ...... The food has left and is the with the driver, should be with you in the next 10 minutes. Which is the length of time to leave the restaurant and get to my house!!! Happens too frequently.

I ordered my food in advance to arrive at a specified time and it still came half an hour late. I had to call up to ask what was happening with it and the lady said it was out for delivery but it still didn’t arrive for ages after that. Food came cold and the lamb was dry.

Just takes a while 1 hour delivery but that’s because they’re so busy. Was delivered in the time stated. Luckily we know to order in advance of when we want to eat.

Ordered several times and never had an issue however the food was tasteless and cold on arrival. The sauces were congealed like they dishes had been frozen and shoved in the microwave. Both Naan breads were burnt, hard and overcooked and completely inedible. The popadoms were also burnt in places. A waste of money!

the tikka masala was way too sweet, I'm not keen on coconut and it was way more than I like. ordered egg rice which was nice, the chips are just cheap fries and way over priced. may not order from here again. service was good, just a shame about the sauce being too sweet ruined the whole meal.

I've just had the most amazing meal. Away with work so dining alone and happened upon this place. Looked busy so I thought I'd give it a go. I was absolutely blown away by the meal I had, great depth of flavour and just the right level of spice. I'm now very full as I've eaten far too much. I couldn't bear to leave even a single grain of rice. Try this place out you won't be disappointed!!!

The food here is stunning, but the drinks are very expensive for around this area, £10 for a vodka and lemonade! We spent £75 for a meal for 2.

Was recommended this place from a couple of people, so we decided to give it a go. The atmosphere and decor were gorgeous. Has an industrial look that wouldn't be out of place in a chic cocktail bar. Order the pickle tray, which was no standard pickle tray. The grated carrot was a welcome addition l. Had tonrequest a couple more oiclle trays and more poppadoms as they were so delicious. Ordered the momo and was blown away. I always choose dumplings from Japanese or Chinese, so I was curious as to how these would be, but I was not disappointed . My main was cooked to the spice level i had requested, and the portion was generous. I can't wait to return and try something new from the varied menu.

Absolutely stunning and wonderful experience from the atmosphere to the service and of course the food I absolutely loved the starters and the pickle tray. I could have eaten a whole pickle tray to myself. Looking forward to trying more on the menu

I made an error on ordering and explained to the restaurant, was offered a change of curry but we actually stuck with the original and really enjoyed them. Nice flavour, lovely soft meat too. Thanks so much!

After shopping, late this afternoon, my nose was drawn by the wonderful smell of curry - which I followed. It wasn't Leaf, as I thought; in fact, I didn't discover where it was from. However, walking on, I nearly got past Everest Inn, but was dragged in - my first time there since they extended into next-door. The food was superb: wonderful Mo Mo (gone far to quickly), followed by their version of Lamb Keema with their special Fried Rice. I managed half, but the rest came home with me for later!

First time I have tried them, and it was outstanding, absolutely lovely 10 out of 10

We waited over twenty minutes to collect our order, there is no chicken in our chicken tikka masala, we have no pickle tray for the popadoms, so disappointing

This has to be the best takeaway food for many a mile around. The quality is first class as is the service. The staff are so attentive, polite and helpful. All in all just magnificent.

Although it was late being delivered the food was DELICIOUS Personally the best Indian in Grantham

Order took over 100 minutes to be delivered from order on just eat to delivery , really disappointed in the time it took for quite a small order. Hefty delivery charge from just eat for the privilege too. Food was not great and not hot by the time it arrived. Shame as used to be my favourite Indian Restaurant in Grantham.

Estimated 19.50 - 20.10. Still waiting for it and 20.25.. very disappointed . Can’t comment on quality of food yet but normally excellent from here.

We have loved this restaurant since it opened but have been very disappointed with the last 2 visits. The food is amazing but the service is so slow even though the restaurant was not busy. Had to ask to order and then ask where the starter and main were as the wait was so long. Ended up eating far later than expected which sadly was too late to really enjoy the food. So sad that one of our favourite restaurants has disappointed and not sure that we will return.

8 of us dined on Friday evening. The restaurant was packed & yet everything was absolutely great - efficient & friendly service, clean & bright decor & furnishings, and 1 if the best curry meals I've ever eaten. Well done all at Everest Inn.

The only problem with my food was the chips. When they arrived they were cold and the portion was rather small. Other than that it was lovely thank you.

Sat here at 9pm for an order that i ordered at 7pm for 8.05, we got a notification to say it would be 8.35, rang at 8.40 and they said it would be another 25 mins. They’ve clearly forgotten us…. No offer of a discount or anything. Food will no doubt be good. Customer service terrible.

20 minutes early which meant it had to sit around - because we hadn’t finished bedtime with kids yet.

August 2023 Have dropped my review down from 5 to 3 stars for a couple of reasons. 1. The prices were already quite high, and they have jumped up significantly - but curiously they don't seem to want to advertise this fact as the prices on both their website and in the takeaway menus obtained from the restaurant whilst not dated are all "out of date" and seemingly have been for months(?!). Only the paper in-restaurant sheet menus have the correct pricing. In other words, if you are ordering takeaway and think you have done your sums correctly, think again and be prepared for a shock when it comes to pay. 2. The quality of the food has dropped - certainly for takeaway - most noticeably the side-dishes and accompaniments. As another reviewer had pointed out, the onion bhajis whilst still tasting the same are now wafer thin and you're paying £5.50 for two of them. That's shockingly bad value. The Naan are also not nearly as good as they used to. I had peshauri and it used to be more of a paste-like filling which held together but now it is basically all dried crumbs inside that falls out and goes everywhere. Considering this place has recently knocked-through to expand their premises, I expected better. May try again at some point in the future. Eating in the restaurant might yield better results/expectations.

Food was good but it was noticeably cooler than we’ve previously experienced. I think this was because of the delivery time, which was over 25 minutes from the initial ‘driver is on his way’ notification. I called the restaurant who informed me the food would be with us within 2-3 minutes but in fact it was another 10 minutes past the latest delivery time given that we received it. A bit disappointed.

Certainly not fast food. 1hr and 55minutrs from order to delivery. Food quality acceptable.

Tasty Korma. Loved the clean linen cloths on the tables. Very friendly and efficient staff.
