Food delivered was hot and tasty good

Thought we would try this restaurant but we wanted takeaway delivered. We had starters -onion bhaji,chicken pakora,chicken tikka puri, all with salad and yogurt. Mains 2 lamb tikka main, 1 lamb tikka shashlik, Keema rice, 2 cheese naans and a masala sauce. free poppadoms. Delivered on time and hot. It was excellent and very good price too!

Lovely fresh food, service was spot on, would definitely return again, staff were very attentive and always communicated if we were ready for the next dish which is great

seemed very expensive for what we got, the pickle tray is very small tubs and only chopped onion and a small tub of mango, samosas appear to be the cheap frozen type, non of the starters come with mint yoghurt which for the price they should, the popodums were soggy. curry was ok but nothing special. overall disappointing and not worth the money.

My husband and I dined at Masala with our son last night. We were most impressed by the pleasant and attentive staff. The restaurant exemplified traditional hospitality with attention to detail, such as placing napkins on our laps and offering to bring more mint yoghurt for the pickle tray. It was great that it opened at 5pm as we wanted to dine early in order to travel home. It was excellent value for money. I highly recommend it.

Just really really bland and disappointing overall. It’s like someone had cooked some really nice food but then sucked all the flavour out of it. Tasted very unauthentic. Positive was food was delivered really quickly but the taste was meh overall

Went and sat down for dinner Tuesday 18th feb Had starter that was small but Good but unfortunately the main came and it also had the added delight of the chef's facial hair in it that was clearly visible. So reported this and asked if he was wearing food hygiene clothing while cooking and he said yes but clearly he wasn't as I saw him cooking it . If there one thing I hate and that's other peoples hair in my food . Definitely won't go back and I refused to pay .

The food was terrible today. Have ordered before & it was nice. However the food today was awful. Will not be ordering again from here!

I don’t blame late delivery as it’s Valentine’s Day but the food was very bland. Normally order elsewhere and will return to our regular.

Ordered a delivery waited 1and a half hours messaged on email nothing rang the phone switched off checked my bank and money had come out so drove to the restaurant where they found the order still on the computer got home with the food one item was chicken tikka masala that was horrendous no taste and watery another dish was going prawn naga that wasn’t to bad overall a bad experience and I have had it from there a few times forgot to say they gave us some papadams and pickles Not Good was fuming

All the food was cold, didn’t enjoy it unfortunately

asked driver why delivery was late ..he said he went on a little visit..??

Thought we would try again with the money off deal but both Curries tasted like they were full of sugar. My other half reckons it been done because we complained two years ago and it didn’t go down well but this meal was terrible and the chips tasted like they’d been re heated numerous times. Lesson learnt. Even if it were free I’d not order again.

Food was good- fresh & hot. Makhan chicken tikka is an acquired taste though (sweet and hints of sour, no spice), just a heads up for others, as this wasn't really what I expected or was after, but it was still nice nevertheless.

Food was lovely but we was missing a complete curry which was a let down as it was vegetarian so she didn't get to have a curry because the others had meat inside, they should double check before packing the order

All three naan breads were burnt and the curry looked like a brown paste. Will not be getting anything from here again so disappointed we were all looking forward to our meal.

Food was lovely. Starters, rice and naan were beautiful. A bit more meat in the curry would have been welcomed as it was predominantly sauce but still nice.

Just 2 things really chips were hard and couldnt taste any cheese in the naan breads apart from that food was pretty decent

Dreadful quality for a restaurant. The Mix Grill shish over-cooked and the rest had to go in the air fryer as pink inside. Flavorless curries. I know it was an offer but come on. Surprised if they get any repeat custom.

The food was excellent, with a few options I haven't often seen elsewhere. I can't see what I had on the list below - something like a lamb iskender, really well balanced flavours Generous serves, you can easily order too much 😁

Always great food and drinks. The staff are friendly staff and can’t do enough for you whatever the time. Always recommend to friends and family.

This fine restaurant has impeccable service, always with a smile. We constantly turn up to this Indian restaurant 1-3 times a month, sometimes even within a week. The cost per head is decent for the city centre. Average cost is around £20-£30 depending on you have an alcoholic beverage or not. Overall, I could not say anything bad about this restaurant and if you are in Derby and looking for a Indian meal this is the place to be.

The food was lovely ! Very nice people made me feel comfortable, I GOT A SPECIAL COFFEE , mine and my friends go to spot ! They are the best plus if not finished food you can have as a To go bag !

Masala is an excellent Indian restaurant serving delicious food. Me and my friends/family having been coming here for years now and would not change to a different venue. The staff and service is excellent! I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for decent food at amazing prices in Derby

I had my retirement do here, over 40 people and the staff were absolutely amazing, they allowed my partner to go in and decorate it beforehand, the food was amazing, thank you for making my do memorable

We booked as a group for 9pm on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was really well presented and very clean and we were offered a booth for six. The service was prompt and very efficient. The food was terrific and everyone enjoyed the meal. A really good experience in central Derby and will definitely return when next in town.
