I have been a customer for a few months now and am very pleased with the quality of the food, and the friendly service. I will definitely continue to order from them.

Masala is an excellent Indian restaurant serving delicious food. Me and my friends/family having been coming here for years now and would not change to a different venue. The staff and service is excellent! I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for decent food at amazing prices in Derby

This fine restaurant has impeccable service, always with a smile. We constantly turn up to this Indian restaurant 1-3 times a month, sometimes even within a week. The cost per head is decent for the city centre. Average cost is around £20-£30 depending on you have an alcoholic beverage or not. Overall, I could not say anything bad about this restaurant and if you are in Derby and looking for a Indian meal this is the place to be.

We booked as a group for 9pm on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was really well presented and very clean and we were offered a booth for six. The service was prompt and very efficient. The food was terrific and everyone enjoyed the meal. A really good experience in central Derby and will definitely return when next in town.

Loved it staff were polite - the food very very good. The Seekh kebab was probably one of the best ive tried. The garlic achari gets special mention as well - keep up the great work - well worth a trip here

Some pieces of lamb were hard , some were soft Sauce was runny , these guys have got too comfy using a microwave

Handing Gosht for me and a Lazeeza for my wife, fantastic taste as usual, this is our 5th order from Masala and food is always great.

Excellent, quick, simple, very nice food, reasonable prices, been many times, will be back again.

The fish was just pure dipped in oil and very ver bland. The chicken tikka was just the same no flavour or taste at all should have just got a ready meal from Tescos at this rate!

First time ordering from here, the lamb in the Korma was so beautiful, tasty just melted in your mouth. Will definitely be ordering from here again. All round great value for money.

Had a take away ordering the chicken tikka dopiaza (first problem was the chicken was plain not tikka) the keema nann had no keema but doner meat and the Naga curry was like a plain curry, not very spicy and lacking flavour. Very disappointed.

Worst behaviour by the manager, where he asked us to get out of the restaurant for pointing out his mistake. It is just a scam restaurant, please save your money. Please don’t be paying £14 for 3-4 table spoons of biryani which the disgusting manager says could be eaten by one person but in reality even a small kid’s stomach wouldn’t be filled up. I’d rate this restaurant negative for falsely portraying Indian food. The quantity provided and the service by the staff is appalling. He is literally making money by scamming non-Indians, trust me you’ll get way absolute delicious food and good customer service at other Indian restaurants in Derby. Worst, disgusting and what not totally

Another fabulous takeaway from Masala. Reasonably priced quality food cooked to perfection. Delivery driver is lovely too. Can’t beat a complimentary bottle of wine too. Never disappoints

10 of us went in for a work get together. Service and food were absolutely spot on. We ended up having the early bird deal which is a bargain - the starter selections were great. Nothing was too much to ask. We stayed over 2 hours and had a really good evening.

Had a great takeaway tonight, first time from here - everything we had was really tasty, rice was perfectly cooked, my main had a good kick to it with sweet mango to balance. My wife had the Paneer Pathia which she said was lovely - she is used to paneer being a bit rubbery but not so this time. We also had samosas which were packed with lots of filling. We will definitely be ordering again!

Had a takeaway from here tonight for the first time. The food was excellent, I had a chicken lazeeza - nice spicy curry with the sweetness of mango, had a real kick to it. Also had 2 samosas which were very well made and had lots of filling. My wife had a banner pathia which she says was very good. Normally as a vegetarian she steers clear of paneer as it can be rubbery but she found it perfect this time. Delivery was quick, under half an hour, lady who delivered it was very pleasant and obviously wanted us to enjoy our food, whi h we did! Will definitely be ordering again.

Service was good, food arrived very early and was piping hot but was generally disappointed with the food. Naan bread was lovely but the curry we had was very watery and bland. Don't think I'll be ordering again.

Had a lovely meal out with friends for my birthday! Food was served promptly and so were drinks etc, Food was fresh, hot and tasty! Overall the price was competitive and a nice round of shots on the house afterwards was a nice touch! No hesitation in recommending and will happily go back!

Terrible! Given chicken instead of lamb to a person with chicken allergy! Rude staff who tried to deny their set menu listed which curry you'd get. Tried to charge me extra at the door Used to come here all the time but definitely will not be going back again.
