Very delicious Indian food in the area. Generous portions and value for money. The cheese naan was especially good. They also offer £6 lunch boxes which have very large servings. Definitely coming back.

Great attentive staff at this location. Food is authentic tasting, piping hot fresh and well flavoured. The all in one container rice and chicken and rice and lamb are super good value for money well worth a stop for a box of each at only £7 for lamb one and £6 for the chicken one. Hard to beat in the local area best tasting and best value double thumbs up for this place.

This restaurant serves the most delicious Bangladesh / Indian cuisine! Our waiter was so friendly and wonderful and helped us select the lamb Karahi (we’ve never tried it before) and now we are big fans of this dish. We also had the butter chicken with jasmine rice and garlic nan. For starters we also had the papadum (highly recommend!). You will enjoy dining here. Thank you!

Astounded to receive a King Prawn dish with sauce but only a few bits of cut up prawns. Vegetables not any better only a few small stalks of cauliflower. Unbelievably brazen customer rip off these robbers think they can get away with on delivery because you can't complain! Very calculated behaviour from these people.

Phenomenal food with excellent customer service. The owner and waiters were very nice and accommodating and also let us try a dish for free. 10/10 highly recommend!

One of the Indian cuisines we recommend is from a family specialist who has suggested some dishes made with seafood. I recommend you try their food; they are very friendly.

This chicken vindaloo was spicy and also tasty! Also, the service was kind and polite to me when I first came to this restaurant and the staff also understood I was Bengali (Sylheti), as my origin is Bangladesh.

This place is amazing! Lots of staff members admire me a lot. It seems that many people are missing out on the best dishes!

Went there while on our trip and was hesitant as I’m intolerant to lactose and wasn’t sure how my options would be. After being seated it was a very lovely atmosphere, such friendly service and always helpful! As I was asking questions about the dish and my intolerances the waiter laughed and said “anything is possible!”. I felt very well taken care of and would highly recommend coming here. It’s quite small but absolutely worth it! Will come back next time I’m in London :)

Excellent place. Nice, quiet, genuine Indian restaurant; very good food and just around the corner from Royal Oak tube station. Having returned several times after the above was submitted, because the service is excellent and so is the food; I always try to go here when I am in London and will see you soon. More trips to the Bengal, not only by myself, but with my electrical apprentice whilst working in London and another work colleague a day or so later, both loved the food and service; I will be working in London with my apprentice soon and the first question he had, was, "are we going to The Bengal"?...Says it all.

Wanted to take the family for authentic Indian while in London. Bengal did not disappoint. Took house recommendations on ordering - chicken tikka Marsala, chicken Balti, chicken biryani, and lamb curry and added cheese Nan bread. Our server was fantastic. Talked us through heat levels (2 teens) and even cobra beer over kingfisher. Will recommend to friends who come to london. 4/5 on atmosphere is not a knock. Just nothing extra ordinary. But don't let that affect your decision to eat at this delicious place!

Definitely my favourite place, that I have already visited many times. I would like to mention a very high quality of all products and especially meet. The portions are very big , so I always take food takeaway, which render my each visit very abundant. At the same time, the price is wonderful, not overpriced! Thank you to the Bengal and all workers and owner, for taking care out of clients.

When I am in London I try to go to The Bengal if I can, because the food and service is very good and so is the price. I was working in London for several days (05/03/2024) and took a fussy friend here; he liked the food very much that a second visit was required. On the Saturday I was back up in London with on of my bosses for a Millwall game and went to the Bengal before we got our train back to Bristol; we both enjoyed our meals and the service was friedly and efficent as always. Thank you Bengal and see you soon...

Ordered a chicken tikka for delivery, all I received was chunks of chicken in an orange looking korma sauce (clearly the chicken wasn’t cooked in that sauce). I will not be ordering from this place ever again.

I’ve been ordering from the bengal since I moved into my place around 20 years ago. The foods has always been amazing, fast delivery and well priced, which is why we've always chose the bengal over any other Indian in our area for so long. Yesterday I ordered and the driver arrived around 40mins later, very angry claiming he had been waiting 20 min when I hadn’t had any phone calls from him and our bell hadn’t been rang once. When my mum apologised he continued to scream at her for the next 10 mins and wouldn’t let her close the door. Hearing the noise I decided to check if my mum was okay, he then started becoming very aggressive to both of us. I’m 7 months pregnant so I decided the safest thing to do was to close and lock the door despite him still shouting. Not sure what the driver was expecting to achieve with this behaviour but it was extremely uncalled for and very unprofessional. Despite loving the food and being a loyal customer for so long I won’t be ordering from the bengal again since this has happened as I don't want this man to deliver to my door again and don’t think this is acceptable way to treat your customers.

Requested a phone call to let me know when the food was here. Never got 1 but I got a notification saying it had been delivered so I headed straight down to the hotel lobby where I was met by a delivery driver claiming to have been there for 30 minutes and raising his voice been extremely rude asking why I hadn’t picked up the phone? he had a totally different number on the receipt to the 1 I had provided and have saved with just eat. Food was freezing cold and not edible.

Initially asked for collect when arrived asked if I could eat in, they said sorry we packed it already, not very good customer service also asked for food to be spicy and hot, didn’t have no spice whatsoever, ended up eating on back of car in this freezing cold weather -1, they did offer me a free poppadum as they refused to let me it in on the plus side. :)

Chicken was overcooked, peshwari barely anything within it, maybe gave me plain? Delivery driver told me to order through UberEats as the shop doesn’t deliver with JustEat?? Rang me shouting at me asking where I was, told me to go outside to describe my house, turned out he was 10 minutes away. Wouldn’t get out of his car to deliver the food I had to go to him in the rain (rang me again), then reminded me not to order through UberEats again. All that for a cold & overcooked curry

Went there looking for a curry, but left with friendship (and a great curry). Our waiter was a great guy who perfect recommendations, we will be back!

I find it strange that two recent takeaway reviews awarded to this excellent Indian restaurant both have very low ratings. I suggest they come and actually eat in The Bengal, and they would see just how good the food is here. I have been coming here for many years and have never had a bad meal. I ordered a Chicken Tikka Naga and Pilau Rice. My sister ordered Broccoli, Spicy Dhal, and Peas Pilau Rice. The food was piping hot and beautifully cooked. The Naga sauce had a nice kick and was very spicy. The Broccoli dish, I've never seen anywhere else, tasted amazing.

GONE DOWNHILL!! I have been a customer here for many years. I will not be ordering or dining in again. The last 2 takeaways i ordered were awful. Chicken inside the plain curry was rock hard I had to spit my food out so did my 8 year old daughter. The portion sizes have got smaller over the years and less chicken pieces in the curry i could count 5 pieces of chicken in my curry. The cans of cold drinks and bottles are always warm on delivery. Sorry Bengal i will not be returning here again. You have lost a loyal customer.

Perfect for lovers of Indian food, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is spectacular. Being a small place, there are few people and it is quite cozy. The food was amazing especially the chicken tikka.

Terrible service, when I called to ask where the order was the guy just garbled a load of incoherent nonsense and wouldn't let me get a word in. No phone call or message from the delivery driver, who knows what happened to the food I ordered. I have requested a full refund

Easy to order with a good selection. Prompt delivery from polite driver. Onion Bhaji starter undercooked and greasy. The korai, Korma, veg Biryani, and naan were lovely. Would use again but avoid the Bhaji.

Lovely curry, Always taste good Please bring cold bottle of coke next time on delivery. No body wants a warm cold drink with their meal. Otherwise food was excellent and good portion sizes.

They are incapable of delivering properly- they are so rude and make the experience of receiving your food a really bad one. The guy refused to walk 2 metres to my flat to deliver the food and left . Lots of other comments like this one. I will never order from here again and would advise you not to either. They need to learn basic manners and how to treat their paying customers with a bit of respect. And i’m ordering again and same happened when calling a restaurant he close the phone when i’m speek.
