Gogi in City of London, Westminster

I had an amazing Valentine’s Day lunch at Gogi in Little Venice, London with my wife. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We were impressed by the unique dining experience – the Korean grill in the middle of the table added a fun and interactive element to our meal. The menu, complete with beautiful photographs of each dish, made choosing our courses a delight. We started with a Beef Spicy Bao and a delicious beef tartare, followed by a sharing plate of spicy meat that was absolutely superb. To finish, we indulged in two delightful desserts: a refreshing matcha mochi and an incredibly tasty sweet potato cheesecake. The bill was perfectly in line with the quality and quantity of food and drinks, making it a great value for money. Overall, every aspect of our experience was excellent, and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!

Superb service were able to seat us when we arrived 45mins earlier than expected. Staff were friendly and more than happy to help us even when we arrived with a sleepy 2 year old. They were quick to bring us our orders and ensure that we were satisfied with what we had. Even when we ordered extra plates of food they brought it to our table quickly. They even ensured that the bbq grill at the table was turned off promptly and safely covered when we had finished cooking the food we had ordered. Whilst the restaurant was not overly busy there were several people present in the restaurant who were also eating and were also receiving a similar service as to what we received. Whilst I expected to spend more at this restaurant I was pleasantly surprised as to how reasonably priced the food was for a London restaurant.

Goji is our favourite neighbourhood Korean restaurant, excellent food and great service. I love the japchae noodles and seaweed salad. Truly the best in the area!

Chose to come here for girls night, and it was 10/10. The food was perfect! Although you do have to pay for side dishes, it is common for London so didn’t really bother us at all! The servers were also very very nice and helpful, making sure we were good the whole night :) will definitely be coming back!!

A nice place for Korean BBQ, well seasoned meat and great service. Went as a party of 3 and the 2-3 bbq set was just about right sized serving. Not too little, not too much.

Food can be hit or miss, and they really shouldn’t be charging for banchan which usually comes free and refillable.

Love love love the honey plum tea! I had an option from the lunch menu. It was delicious as there are a variety of smaller complimentary dishes which taste gorgeous together.

We had the best time, staff so attentive and delicious Korean food! We had a mixture of meats for the bbq as well as Korean friend chicken, kimchi pancakes and seaweed salad- incredible! Our Xmas lunch!!

A Korean restaurant that I visit every time I come to London. Soups and single items are delicious. Yakiniku marinated in sauce is recommended for Korean Yakiniku.

Service is occasionally slow, but the food is so good it doesn't matter.

A very authentic Korean BBQ restaurant. The atmosphere was very conducive to great conversation. You will not be disappointed.

The waitress was very nice. The waiter who helped us to set up the BBQ was also very polite.

Thought we would give this a try before a trip to Korea , and it was great, the barbecue set up was very clever, meat was good and flavour was excellent. Go hungry and you won’t be disappointed. Staff are friendly and helpful and it was a great experience.

It wasn't super bad or anything, but something in between mediocre and about to be called good. A bit expensive and a bit boring. Chicken was meh, Japchae was meh, Banchan was solid/good, BBQ was okay-ish. Service and staff was really friendly. Wouldn't go there again. (visited 08/2024)

Had such a good time at Gogi, this being my 4th(?) visit. The food is fresh, delicious and very quick, and made for the perfect lunch break from the office. The tofu bibimbap is a sizzling and filling delight that ticks all the boxes, with a hefty side of gochujang along with miso soup and salad. Service is excellent and prompt - service isn’t included so make sure to add tip :) 3 main meals and a bottle of wine = £60

Food was amazing but service seemed a bit rushed even though we were just a table of 2 in the beginning of the evening and there were plenty vacant tables around.. Server put all our remained meat on the grill without asking to take the plate back, which was a bit weird. Our booking lasted nearly an hour, so don’t see the reason behind rushing us like that :/ besides that, a really good place for food and fun experience

Good but not spectacular Korean BBQ.

2024 update: Gogi has become one of our go to places for Korean food in London. Really good value for money and great variety of dishes. The kimchi pancake is a bit bland but other than that we love everything. The restaurant can get a bit noisy but it's definitely worth a visit. 5 stars. Really enjoyed the food here, the only note is that we felt the meat didn't really absorb much flavour from the marinade and the sauces provided were a bit bland compared to what we had in Korea. We fell in love with the spring onion salad, so so good, definitely try it if you get the chance. We ordered some meat & vegetables for the BBQ, kimchi pancake and japchae. Nice flavours throughout. We will be back to try other dishes.

Got the LA galbi bbq, soy chicken bbq, and sweet & spicy fried chicken. Also got kimchi, rice, and some lettuce for the bbq. It was all really nice except for the fried chicken which was just average.

Had fun cooking the bulgogi on the grill that tasked great and the food came out fast for the prepared dishes we’d ordered.

Un pequeño restaurante coreano encantador! La comida era increíble, gran selección tanto para barbacoa y también platos normales, que eran todos geniales! Tenemos lados y el plato compartido de diferentes tipos de carne. El personal era super amable y acogedor, se rió bien : ) recomendaría absolutamente pasar por si estás visitando Londres y quieres probar un poco de Corea del Sur.

Ventilation above the stove to not make the place too smoky, with a button on the table to call for service. Menu has a wide selections for BBQ & vegetarians. Prices are a bit above average, but it simulates a busy Korean BBQ restaurant.

I had the best experience with my friend as we had dinner together, food and service overall was great! and I would definitely come again (we've went before) and Gogi never ever misses :) We had to tip service, perfect restaurant and food.

We went here a few months ago on a city break to London, food is out quick and staff showed us how to work the grill, very oriental spot, looking for a nice meal out please come here as you won’t be disappointed. Great service 10/10 if I’m visiting London again will be coming here 100%

Service and atmosphere are excellent. Food is good, but platters have very little seasoning compared to other BBQ grills. Beware that the platters all contain pork but don't say they do, and the waiter took over 30mins to figure out what was which and needed other staff assistance.

Gogi's got that cozy vibe that makes you feel right at home. Their bulgogi is to die for - seriously, I could eat it every day. The staff are super friendly and always make sure you're taken care of. If you're craving some authentic Korean flavors without breaking the bank, Gogi's the spot to hit up.

Came here for birthday celebrations and it was nice and quiet mid week for lunch. The food was authentic and well presented. We got the bbq and various other add ons.

Genuinely my favourite Korean spot ever! I can’t recommend this place enough. The food bangs, atmosphere 10/10, staff - always attentive it’s a great place to be at whether you come solo or with friends. If you don’t believe me, go try the place for yourself!

Really fun experience with tasty food packed with flavour. The meat is very well marinated/seasoned before cooking and its tender. Seafood taste very fresh aswell. Food also taste really authentic.

Rather cold and detached welcome on arrival and waited several minutes to be sat at a small table, despite arriving on time and the restaurant being half empty. Food was average - we were not particularly fond of the over-fried chicken and tough, stringy meat. Last year’s food and service was far, far better, and could really say was a pleasant experience dining here back then.. unfortunately , not this time.

The quality of rib eye has deteriorated so has the fried chicken and the cucumber kimchi was less hot as in more edible

It's a nice place to share a meal with friends and the staff are friendly and helpful. They do get really busy so you sometimes get rushed towards the end of your meal.

Got here 25 minutes late and asked if they could accommodate us still they first outright refused in our face and said that they’re very sorry when the place was half empty. We then said it was only two of us and we won’t be long and then suddenly they agreed to accommodate us as long as we give the e table back after 1.5 hours which we said was fine. Order was taken promptly and staff taking order was friendly. Until, I had to remind them it is a booking for a special celebration my friends birthday and if they took that into consideration. They obviously did not. I asked to pick a cake from their menu and asked if they could add a candle on top. They said they were out of candles/sparklers and unable to assist any further. The above experience just made me feel that for the service and location, the price was just not worth it !!! Also, cocktails are MEDIOCRE !!! Do not expect a full experience here

I recently had an amazing lunch experience at Gogi! The pork belly and BULGOGI especially when paired with fresh lettuce, was absolutely delicious. The service was exceptional; the staff were very friendly and attentive. Additionally, the restaurant is wheelchair accessible, making it a great choice for everyone. Highly recommend!

Booked this restaurant for my special birthday celebration and in the terms and conditions it stated I had more than 2hrs for my booking but once we arrived was informed that we had less than 1 hour as they close at 3, I feel this is really poor as they should of called me first to clarify this and update there tems ana conditions to reflect this info. Really put a whole damper on my special day and they didn't even compensate us really poor.

Not the best Korean restaurant I've had, but not the worst. I was really excited to try Gogi because I've passed it many times and saw how popular it is. Food was OK, there was nothing that stood out, just a basic BBQ and korean food. For the mediocre quality of food, it is slightly overpriced. The ambience with the dim lighting and private seating booths were nice. We had friendly staff interactions, however this was once you got their attention - it seems the table bell has become white noise to them. All in all, very average. Was slightly disappointed.

Was unimpressed with the food, service or atmosphere. We had order individual bbq dishes that took over 15-30mins to arrive. (They were raw dishes to cook on bbq) when the meat dishes arrived the server literally shoved all of one meat dish on the bbq to cook. Which I questioned and stopped him, the whole point is we bbq it ourselves as part of the experience. The raw scallops was not seasoned and took 30mins to arrive which I had to prompt several times. (It was a mid-week night so wasn’t super busy)The bbq was left on 15mins before food arrived, so was smelling smoke fumes! Had to ask the several times to change the grill due to black burn marks from cooking the dishes. The cold veg dishes and rice tasting good, but bbq was a complete disappointment. Small portions and was not even sliced. Only chose this restaurant because of the great ratings and review on open tables, but definitely did not live up to the ratings!

Great food and service from a super friendly team, and nice decor. Tables slightly restricted seating where we were. Other than the seating also a bit pricey but that maybe our choices of food and drinks.
