Lovely food and service! Sushi is great, but be specific with that you order, it can be a bit greasy. The music was super loud like in a club,we asked twice to lower the volume but they only lowered it 2 percent. That was the most annoying part. Other than the super loud ear breaking music, food and service is great. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Either you order from the asian or the italian restaurant, the food is amazing. This restaurant is always a good choice and will never disappoint. A little advice ; if you want a party-ish, fun and music vibes book at the asian restaurant, and if you want a calm and cosy dinner book at the italian one.

Terrible for vegans and the food was bland, it felt like a machine in there with all the bells and whistles for a great experience yet missing the main part. No love for the food unfortunately. Nothing abhorrently wrong but will be quickly forgotten

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. I’ve come here a lot over the past few years and the staff have always been accommodating for my halal requirements. The food has always come out fresh and quick too despite how busy they always are. Although, it is pricy compared to the rest of Berkeley square, you get what you pay for and that’s why I come back. Credit to the hostess too, she’s amazing

My girlfriend and I sampled the new Easter Menu by Pierre Marcolini and we were not disappointed. Angela who looked after us was phenomenal. Would 100% recommend for an early Saturday lunch.

I visited Novikov Restaurant - Asian branch, and it was a disappointing experience. The prices are hugely overrated compared to the quality of the food. For example, only £167 was charged for “Gilt-head Bream” sea bass! The food is very ordinary and does not justify the cost at all, neither in terms of taste nor presentation. I paid over £320 for two people for a meal that wasn't worth half that amount, and the service wasn't exceptional even though a 14.5% service charge was automatically added. Only £40 service fee 🤣 I will not repeat the visit and do not recommend it to anyone looking for an experience worth the price paid. I visited Novikov – Asian Room, and it was a disappointing experience. The prices are extremely overpriced compared to the quality of the food. For example, they charged £167 just for a Gilt-head Bream — basically a sea bass! The food was very average and definitely didn’t justify the cost, neither in taste nor in presentation. I paid over £320 for two people on a meal that wasn’t worth even half that amount, and the service wasn’t impressive at all — despite automatically adding a 14.5% service charge. Just the service charge alone was £40 — ridiculous! I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a dining experience that’s actually worth the money.

The Asian part is one of my favourite restaurants in London. The duck salad is a must try and I get it and finish it every time I go. The sushi is great. Another staple is the wagyu tacos, which are a few mini finger tacos. The only thing about the Asian section which is different to the Italian and doesn't please much is how crowded and loud it is. There are a lot of tables, all of them full, and there are loud people, loud music, and few waiters for a large amount of people. Overall, I love this restaurant, but it has its cons (as does everything).

Wonderful steak, but I have nuts allergy and I told them before I reserved. Unfortunately, when I came they told me that most of the food contained trays of nuts. I wouldn’t reserved if I knew that information. I couldn’t enjoy the variety of choices.

The place has great food, but that does not compensate for the condescending and selective service you get reminding of Moscow gastro scene, which is probably one of the reasons why Russians like going there

It would be good if the tables against the wall stood vertically to the wall, so that those who sat there would not look at the wall, at this expense they could take care of the clients and not apply bad traditions - the more tables, the more money.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Novikov in Mayfair with my sister, and while the experience had its highs, there were definitely some aspects that didn't quite live up to expectations. Let's start with the positives—service. The staff at Novikov were absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, they were attentive, polite, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The service alone truly elevated the experience and made us feel welcomed and cared for. However, when it comes to the food, I was a bit underwhelmed. I found that several dishes lacked flavor and really needed a little extra seasoning—salt in particular. It was disappointing, especially considering the reputation the restaurant holds. While the presentation was lovely, the food didn’t quite hit the mark for me. In terms of value, Novikov definitely feels overpriced, likely due to its prime Mayfair location. I understand the appeal of dining in such a sought-after area, but for the price, I expected more from both the food and the overall atmosphere. Speaking of atmosphere, I felt that the ambiance could have been a bit livelier—while the space itself is chic and upscale, the vibe felt a bit too subdued for a celebratory occasion. Overall, while the service was remarkable, I don’t think the food or overall experience justified the steep price tag. It was a fine dining experience, but not one I’d rush to repeat.

Paid £52 ish for two glasses of champagne , when asked for olives /some nuts - the answer forge - form a barman and go ask the waiter! What waiter?! Terrible place ! Never again! Honestly please avoid unless you need to hook up amber indicent

I visited Novikov for their set lunch time menu. The food was fresh and served in an orderly time manner. The staff were welcoming and friendly. A great place to dine with friends and family.

The food is really good. However, I’m not satisfied with service. They didn’t ask if I had any allergies and I ended up with a fish pasta (I’m allergic to fish) as they’ve made a mistake. Also, there were many other mistakes, but there are only a few other guests at the restaurant at this time. So disappointing:(

My boyfriend and I went last night to have a late Valentine’s dinner and we had such a bad experience. The waitress “or assistant manager 😏 Bee / Pee probably using a nickname” was taking our order. The order was wrong and on top of it she was so rude. We ordered some sushi where the seaweed was so hard and chewy and the whole Gilt bream head that we ordered end up being silver bream and on the bill put as besugo. My boyfriend was paying and I just asked for the bill to check something and saw that. When we ask the waitress she said that it’s the same price 🤔So she served us silver but charged us the price of the besugo btw is not the same price. When we asked how many grams was the fish she arrogantly said 800 grams. I am a fun of fish and been pescatarian for 2 years before and I know what 800 grams fish looks like. And the cherry on top of the cake was when she told my boyfriend that “WHAT U EXPECT “ like we never been to a restaurant in Mayfair and we can’t afford, very disrespectful. In fact we just been to your Italian one few months ago and it’s a huge difference between the two of you. Such a bad experience and low quality customer service from some of the staff. Will never go again even if it’s free. Just the name not what we customers expected, extremely disappointed.

At the entrance, the security guard behaved very rudely and unfriendly, which ruined the rest of the mood. Before entering the restaurant, I was asked to take off my cap, I said okay, I’ll do it, I go into the lobby, tell the hostess about my reservation and tell her that I want to hand over my jacket and cap to the cloakroom, and at that moment the security guard comes up again and says you need to take off your cap and in a very rude manner. I said that I was waiting for the cloakroom employee to give me my things and that I understood the information the first time. They talked to me like I was an unworthy person. It was terribly humiliating. Further, the waiter was extremely unhappy that he had to serve us, and then completely stopped coming to our table. Thanks to the red-haired waitress who was very friendly and polite to us. The evening was not a success. I do not recommend visiting the restaurant.

I ordered a delicious burrata salad...and a fantastic truffle pizza...the risotto was less than normal and the squash soup was not good at all. I made it for my birthday, a special day for me at Novikov🥹❤️

Me and my partner had a lovely time. The food was amazing as well as the atmosphere. We were in the Italian restaurant, where you can have a nice and easy-going dinner. The Asian part looks more party-ish, but we will definitely visit it as well. We had a drink in the underground bar which had astonishing cocktails.

We tried the Italian section. The service was very bad. The one who took the order talked to us forcefully and had no temper. The waiter is an Italian who likes to talk and be annoying. Because we did not give him a lot of face, he began to pick up the dishes and throw them on the table and would not bring us and even left the bill, putting it on the side of the table!! His treatment is very bad and clearly racist And the food is very normal

Disappointing Service at Novikov I recently visited Novikov and was extremely disappointed with the service. Our waiter, Mauro, was incredibly rude and unprofessional throughout the evening, which completely ruined the dining experience. For a restaurant of this caliber, I expected much better hospitality. The food was great, but the service needs serious improvement.

Very quiet in the restaurant but still had to chase up the food which then arrived after 40 minutes and in a rush. No explanation offered, or compensation for being so late

Came to novikov Asia for the first time and left with mixed feelings, the starters were great (sushi and tempura shrimp) however we did not enjoy our mains, we had 2 types of chicken dishes and they were very tough and chewy, however drinks and desserts were ok..

I mean, it is managed incredibly amateurishly, the food never comes, you have to constantly ask for the drinks to come, it definitely does not deserve this money. This service does not suit the brand at all, they ruined my night.

Was a really good restaurant & I would go again. Only negative point is that its really really expensive. So if you have a good salary go and eat there its great… if not I would recommend maybe other restaurants where you get more food for the price. We drink and ate for 150$ per person & didn’t took the expensive stuff. Food and service is great! Try the sushi even if its expensive. Great cocktails as well! So its up to you if you like to spend some money its a go to restaurant!!

A rocky start to the evening. The hostess gave our table away, despite me arriving on time for our reservation. Although the rest of my party was running a bit late, we were still within the reservation hold time. I was asked to wait at the bar, and the hostess noted that I was there and recorded my arrival time. However, when the rest of my party arrived, she had forgotten I was there and tried to turn us away! Not exactly the best first impression. Needless to say, the manager got involved, and we were seated at the downstairs bar while they arranged a table for us. The bar was buzzing, and we were cramped around a table, but not for long. After our drinks arrived, we were told that a table was ready, so back upstairs we went. We ordered a variety of veg and non-veg dishes. The food was nice, but not amazing. The atmosphere upstairs was also lively and busy - I lost my voice by the end of the night. Some of the other diners made it feel like it was a pick-up spot, though it could have just been that particular night, and a coincidence that the people we were seated next to kept propositioning us and interrupting our night. All in all, while I wasn't blown away by the food, the venue itself is pleasant, and despite the initial hiccup, the service was fantastic.

I entered the venue with a group of ten and checked my bag and coat under the same tag. When I was leaving, my bag was returned, but it took them 30 minutes to find my coat. When my coat was finally returned, it was done in an accusatory manner. Despite the time wasted, there was no apology offered.

A must go in london at least once. Try the lupster spaghetti and truffle pizza.

Our favourite restaurant in the world. We’ve dined in both restaurants but our favourite is the Asian. Edward and the team cannot do enough for you. The food and service are always impeccable.

However, I did have some major issues with the service - first and foremost they did not acknowledge the celebration AT ALL - even though I reconfirmed the occasion to the host once I had got to the restaurant, not even a “happy birthday” from any of the staff to the birthday guest. Second, we began to order our main course at the start but realised we haven’t decided on all the dishes, so cancelled the main course order with the waitress… to our surprise following the starters our mains, that were supposed to be cancelled, came! So that it wasn’t thrown away we ate it, but still come on! The final icing on the cake was when we asked for the dessert menu we were given the bill!!! As a final review, the food was 5/5, but the service and acknowledgment for the occasion was honestly appalling. I never normally go for fine dining, but for the occasion I wanted to treat my guest, thinking at the very least they would say happy birthday, but I guess even the great Novikov can’t deliver that… very disappointed… better to go to your local Asian if you want to celebrate any occasion. Service -9.99999/5.

Honestly worst experience ever. I have been to novikov many times before, however this time, was completely appalling. Standards have dropped - namely the service. When you come to an establishment like this, you are not only paying for the food, but the experience and service. Not many people have the opportunity to go to places like this, so every visit should be exemplar. I was astonished when the server - Dionysios, made it his duty to make me uncomfortable about not giving a tip. Firstly, the service charge is optional. Secondly, the service was non existent. Thirdly, who is he to demand this and make a patron uncomfortable and make it very public. This could be anyone who may not be able to pay a service charge comfortably - it is their choice if they’d like to - or if they don’t want to, they don’t have to. But to make other customers around me be aware that I don’t want to pay service charge, is very unprofessional and a very poor quality in a staff. I have been many times before, happily paid service charge when service has been spectacular- but on this one occasion I have felt insulted to the point I shan’t be returning and letting others know not to visit. You are better off visiting sexy fish down the road!

Food quality is good but not the best. We had a couple of exchanges with the team, Angela in particular, and they served us really well. However some of the signature dishes were not top notch as you would expect. Starters were really good, mains were good, tiramisu was disappointing, despite being The Classic Recipe. The food is always delicious, ambiance amazing and impeccable service- Claudio is one of the best waiters I’ve ever had. He was informative about the menu, everyone was careful of our allergies and very kind and energetic!

Me and my husband went to Novikov and were hosted by Dio. He was very friendly and answered all the questions we had concerning the menu. He was also recommended us many of the dishes that we had. We had ‘Black Cod Rolls’ ‘Wagyu Sliders’ ‘Spicy Chicken Buns’ ‘waygu with egg fried rice’ ‘Sweet and Sour Chicken with Prawn Fried Rice’. Everything was phenomenal and we enjoyed our meal. We ended off with a Sticky Toffee Pudding to celebrate my birthday.

Been here before, whilst service had a lot to be desired the food was pleasant. However from our visit last Saturday it most likely will be our last visit here. The food was simply not up to par. The lamb cutlets were tough and chewy and almost inedible. The service is so poor, the staff look tired and overworked. Very minimal communication and they simply look like unhappy. Really isn’t a pleasant environment. This restaurant has lost its charm. Won’t be going again.

Have dined here more than a few times now and the food has always been of a high standard and I have never had no problems. However the service is standard and merely as good as it should be for this type of high class restaurant. My most recent visit was a Saturday so quite a busy evening. There was some delay with our food which we didn’t mind too much. However they didn’t bring one of our courses and we only realised after the bill and service charge was paid. They did rectify the situation and we obviously then had to get our order for take away. I loved this restaurant unfortunately I don’t think I will be going back again.

Worse experience in Mayfair ever. Horrible service with lots of mistakes from beginning to the end. The fried seafood platter was so badly done, the food didn’t feel fresh and the batter was so bad that it’s soggy. The pasta was so salty even my local restaurant can do a better job. For the price they are charging this is so disappointing! They never fill up the water and we have to chase after them. The service is sol cold and poor with little communication. We were a group of 8, it’s very difficult for us to get together for once and this is a huge let down. The decor looks cheap and boring. It felt like a canteen for the rich. Would not recommend and I would not come back even it’s free.

The food here is amazing ! The sushi was delicious, the best I’ve ever had in London and the black cod was incredible. We loved the Wagyu tacos too and the fun cigar dessert. The service was impeccable and Antonello made our night feel even more special. I will 100% recommend this place and will definitely come back !

A good restaurant marks firstly with the services you receive which makes it a memorable and comfortable place to enjoy a meal and gives it a 1, and the amazing food will add a 0, and the good atmosphere will add a 0 too, to make it a 100. But if you had a bad experience in the service you're only be left with Zero's which makes nothing of your experience. I have had a bad experience in this branch. I've waited to put an order more than 7 minutes, waiters were ignoring the hand wave. Table was dirty, no one came to clean. Knife was spilled on my husband, and i've changed cutlery twice because of cleanliness. Never expected such from a fine dining restaurant.
