My boyfriend and I went last night to have a late Valentine’s dinner and we had such a bad experience. The waitress “or assistant manager 😏 Bee probably using a nickname” was taking our order. The order was wrong and on top of it she was so rude. We ordered some sushi where the seaweed was so hard and chewy and the whole Gilt bream head that we ordered end up being silver bream and on the bill put as besugo. My boyfriend was paying and I just asked for the bill to check something and saw that. When we ask the waitress she said that it’s the same price 🤔So she served us silver but charged us the price of the besugo btw is not the same price. When we asked how many grams was the fish she arrogantly said 800 grams. I am a fun of fish and been pescatarian for 2 years before and I know what 800 grams fish looks like. And the cherry on top of the cake was when she told my boyfriend that “WHAT U EXPECT “ like we never been to a restaurant in Mayfair and we can’t afford, very disrespectful. In fact we just been to your Italian one few months ago and it’s a huge difference between the two of you. Such a bad experience and low quality customer service from some of the staff. Will never go again even if it’s free. Just the name not what we customers expected, extremely disappointed.

They forgot the wine glasses for half of the table. Forgot about my main dish. They promised our table of 10 limoncellos, only received 3. Atmosphere 5 stars for the ladies downstairs.

I mean, it is managed incredibly amateurishly, the food never comes, you have to constantly ask for the drinks to come, it definitely does not deserve this money. This service does not suit the brand at all, they ruined my night.

Was a really good restaurant & I would go again. Only negative point is that its really really expensive. So if you have a good salary go and eat there its great… if not I would recommend maybe other restaurants where you get more food for the price. We drink and ate for 150$ per person & didn’t took the expensive stuff. Food and service is great! Try the sushi even if its expensive. Great cocktails as well! So its up to you if you like to spend some money its a go to restaurant!!

A rocky start to the evening. The hostess gave our table away, despite me arriving on time for our reservation. Although the rest of my party was running a bit late, we were still within the reservation hold time. I was asked to wait at the bar, and the hostess noted that I was there and recorded my arrival time. However, when the rest of my party arrived, she had forgotten I was there and tried to turn us away! Not exactly the best first impression. Needless to say, the manager got involved, and we were seated at the downstairs bar while they arranged a table for us. The bar was buzzing, and we were cramped around a table, but not for long. After our drinks arrived, we were told that a table was ready, so back upstairs we went. We ordered a variety of veg and non-veg dishes. The food was nice, but not amazing. The atmosphere upstairs was also lively and busy - I lost my voice by the end of the night. Some of the other diners made it feel like it was a pick-up spot, though it could have just been that particular night, and a coincidence that the people we were seated next to kept propositioning us and interrupting our night. All in all, while I wasn't blown away by the food, the venue itself is pleasant, and despite the initial hiccup, the service was fantastic.

I entered the venue with a group of ten and checked my bag and coat under the same tag. When I was leaving, my bag was returned, but it took them 30 minutes to find my coat. When my coat was finally returned, it was done in an accusatory manner. Despite the time wasted, there was no apology offered.

A must go in london at least once. Try the lupster spaghetti and truffle pizza.

All the dishes we ordered were amazing and the service was very quick too considering it was packed Saturday afternoon. BIG shoutout to our server Nathan who was simply the best, professional, funny and knowledgeable, he went above and beyond. Couldn’t have asked for any better

A sweet and elegant bar, café and restaurant

Went to Novikov for the first time and had lunch. I was served by a waitress called Angela who looked after me and made my experience at the restaurant extra special. She made sure everything was perfect, she was very accommodating and her positive energy radiated the room. The food was really good and well presented. I would definitely be back to visit.

Frankly speaking, the restaurant is less than ordinary and not worthy

I booked Novikov for a birthday celebration for my friend on 23/01. I would like to say that the food was amazing, from start to end we enjoyed every single dish. However, I did have some major issues with the service - first and foremost they did not acknowledge the celebration AT ALL - even though I reconfirmed the occasion to the host once I had got to the restaurant, not even a “happy birthday” from any of the staff to the birthday guest. Second, we began to order our main course at the start but realised we haven’t decided on all the dishes, so cancelled the main course order with the waitress… to our surprise following the starters our mains, that were supposed to be cancelled, came! So that it wasn’t thrown away we ate it, but still come on! The final icing on the cake was when we asked for the dessert menu we were given the bill!!! As a final review, the food was 5/5, but the service and acknowledgment for the occasion was honestly appalling. I never normally go for fine dining, but for the occasion I wanted to treat my guest, thinking at the very least they would say happy birthday, but I guess even the great Novikov can’t deliver that… very disappointed… better to go to your local Asian if you want to celebrate any occasion. Service -9.99999/5.

Honestly worst experience ever. I have been to novikov many times before, however this time, was completely appalling. Standards have dropped - namely the service. When you come to an establishment like this, you are not only paying for the food, but the experience and service. Not many people have the opportunity to go to places like this, so every visit should be exemplar. I was astonished when the server - Dionysios, made it his duty to make me uncomfortable about not giving a tip. Firstly, the service charge is optional. Secondly, the service was non existent. Thirdly, who is he to demand this and make a patron uncomfortable and make it very public. This could be anyone who may not be able to pay a service charge comfortably - it is their choice if they’d like to - or if they don’t want to, they don’t have to. But to make other customers around me be aware that I don’t want to pay service charge, is very unprofessional and a very poor quality in a staff. I have been many times before, happily paid service charge when service has been spectacular- but on this one occasion I have felt insulted to the point I shan’t be returning and letting others know not to visit. You are better off visiting sexy fish down the road!

Food quality is good but not the best. We had a couple of exchanges with the team, Angela in particular, and they served us really well. However some of the signature dishes were not top notch as you would expect. Starters were really good, mains were good, tiramisu was disappointing, despite being The Classic Recipe. Me and my husband went to Novikov and were hosted by Dio. He was very friendly and answered all the questions we had concerning the menu. He was also recommended us many of the dishes that we had. We had ‘Black Cod Rolls’ ‘Wagyu Sliders’ ‘Spicy Chicken Buns’ ‘waygu with egg fried rice’ ‘Sweet and Sour Chicken with Prawn Fried Rice’. Everything was phenomenal and we enjoyed our meal. We ended off with a Sticky Toffee Pudding to celebrate my birthday.

Been here before, whilst service had a lot to be desired the food was pleasant. However from our visit last Saturday it most likely will be our last visit here. The food was simply not up to par. The lamb cutlets were tough and chewy and almost inedible. The service is so poor, the staff look tired and overworked. Very minimal communication and they simply look like unhappy. Really isn’t a pleasant environment. This restaurant has lost its charm. Won’t be going again.

The food here is amazing ! The sushi was delicious, the best I’ve ever had in London and the black cod was incredible. We loved the Wagyu tacos too and the fun cigar dessert. The service was impeccable and Antonello made our night feel even more special. I will 100% recommend this place and will definitely come back !

Worse experience in Mayfair ever. Horrible service with lots of mistakes from beginning to the end. The fried seafood platter was so badly done, the food didn’t feel fresh and the batter was so bad that it’s soggy. The pasta was so salty even my local restaurant can do a better job. For the price they are charging this is so disappointing! They never fill up the water and we have to chase after them. The service is sol cold and poor with little communication. We were a group of 8, it’s very difficult for us to get together for once and this is a huge let down. The decor looks cheap and boring. It felt like a canteen for the rich. Would not recommend and I would not come back even it’s free.

Have dined here more than a few times now and the food has always been of a high standard and I have never had no problems. However the service is standard and merely as good as it should be for this type of high class restaurant. My most recent visit was a Saturday so quite a busy evening. There was some delay with our food which we didn’t mind too much. However they didn’t bring one of our courses and we only realised after the bill and service charge was paid. They did rectify the situation and we obviously then had to get our order for take away. I loved this restaurant unfortunately I don’t think I will be going back again.

A good restaurant marks firstly with the services you receive which makes it a memorable and comfortable place to enjoy a meal and gives it a 1, and the amazing food will add a 0, and the good atmosphere will add a 0 too, to make it a 100. But if you had a bad experience in the service you're only be left with Zero's which makes nothing of your experience. I have had a bad experience in this branch. I've waited to put an order more than 7 minutes, waiters were ignoring the hand wave. Table was dirty, no one came to clean. Knife was spilled on my husband, and i've changed cutlery twice because of cleanliness. Never expected such from a fine dining restaurant.

The staff were overly pushy and intrusive, constantly hovering and interrupting, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy the meal with my guests. The lack of space and time to dine comfortably was disappointing.

The worst and most disgusting restaurant ever. A gang that is hustling against you. Everyone has a rude and rude manner. When we are upset, we want to complain to a manager. No one responds to us. One of the worst experiences of dinning on 8/1/2025. Vegetarians and Vegan people should not go to this place. The Pizzas served was all covered in too much Tomato sauce/ gravy. Even though they said they can make it vegetarian, there was minimal vegetables on Pizza. It was like eating Tomato only. The staff was cordial. Never going to go to this place again.

Extremely overrated place. The food wasn’t even tasty despite the super expensive bill that I received! In the food there was a stone and the waitress couldn’t care less when I discussed it with her!

Not the VIBE. Went having high expectations since Novikov is one of the best high quality restaurants however greatly disappointed and don’t think I will be going back again. Came in with a reservation and had to wait around 10-15 mins to get our table. Furthermore, we placed our order immediately as soon as we sat down and the order took over an hour to be delivered. We had to ask them 3 times about the order, when we told them that we will be leaving if the order won’t be coming any time soon, their manager came and tried to solve things out by promising us that the food will be coming in one minute! And yes it did arrive in that minute however we got plain white rice when we ordered shrimp fried rice! The disappointment! Waited very long just to get the white rice??? We informed them that it was the wrong order and they told us to keep the white rice and that they will hurry to get our correct order. The manager told us that he won’t be charging us on both rice’s which was the right thing to do, however wont make me come again. On the other hand, the food wasn’t great at all, it was very okay ! I have had other novikov food and this branch wasn’t in the top tier of quality and taste. The atmosphere was another thing we didn’t like, very noisy with loud music and the place was very dark, I wouldn’t say it’s a family friendly restaurant. I would suggest lowering the volume of the blasting music and keeping loud music in the club or bar area they have. :)

We have been having lunch here very often for several years now. And it is always delicious and the service is excellent. Our favorite restaurant

I been here for twice. First time was in summer 2024, it’s was sooooo goood. And that’s the reason I brought my sister in law here for her birthday. The tuna tata was excellent, especially is blue fin tuna. We ordered langoustine, the special steak of the day, and carbonara. Langoustine has nothing special which I thought would be very good since the price is high but a bit disappointing. The steak is horribly awful, we gave the chief another chance but still horrible, he doesn’t know how to cook the steak even the steak had used all excellent ingredients. The carbonara is very good, actually good their pasta are perfect taste. Which I will recommend to have any pasta or pizza for main course. Btw the first time I been in summer 2024 I had seafood platter and was very good as well. Conclusion, I have three stars because the steak and langoustine not good.

The service is bad and the prices are very high. Each person must pay 80 pound . This is an experience that cannot be repeated.

I am very angry with the female employees in the Italian restaurant. They are very provocative. The tables in front of us are empty and there is no one there, and they make us wait with all recklessness and indifference, especially with the employee Sarah, who is very, very, very bad at dealing with people.

The person in charge of reservations at the Italian restaurant in Novikov London, her name is Sarah, is one of the worst employees to deal with, as she does not possess the professionalism in dealing, she is bad, repulsive to the restaurant, and does not respect the customers at all. Which led to my provocation, as she did not respect my standing for an hour and a half while the tables in front of me were empty, and she did not want to give it to us.

We visited Novokov for a 2.30pm lunch on New Years Eve. The food was served warm and portions were small and of poor quality. The sea bass starter was non-existent on the plate and consisted on one mouthful of fish. The two main course portions of Lobster linguine were so salty it would appear that the chef may have dropped the whole salt pot in the pan! Both diners were unable to finish this £68 a head dish. Most attention appeared to be focused on foreign clientele and not English patrons. The mature lady on reception found it an imposition to fetch our coats from the cloakroom when leaving. This is not the sort of experience anyone should experience when paying over £140 per person for lunch. Other local restaurants offer a far better dining experience than Novokov which nowadays appears to be taking some diners for granted and just living of its past reputation.

The food is so good. Angela was so sweet and knowledgeable about the food and ingredients. We went with her recommendations and its 100/100.

Came here for dinner with family. Food is very tasty, fresh and presented in an exceptional way. Great atmosphere too. Pricy and portions are a bit small.

Let’s start with the reception even though we have a reservation at 10:15 we waited till 10:45 to have our table Afterwards, we waited 20 minutes so that the waiter can take our orders however, our food came at 12 am and missing 2 orders after waiting one hour, not only the food we waited for as well our drinks! No WATER even Lastly, for the manager who was drinking wine while we were telling him about everything but mostly by the way he was talking to us like we were wrong and they were right even a sorry we haven’t heard! THE WORST RESTAURANT EVER NEVER COMING BACK!!!!

We dined on the Italian side. The food was quite bad, and the staff did not care. I found this place to be highly overrated. We will not return.

We tried both menus the Italian side and the Asian side. The food is great was the service was not was expected from us.

Unfortunately, our experience at Novi Cove was disappointing due to the poor service we received. The food arrived cold and unsatisfactory, and it was all due to a staff member named Luigi. When we spoke to him about the long delay—45 to 50 minutes—between the starter and the main course, his response was unprofessional and rude. He said, “this is an Italian restaurant, not a fast-food place. If you’re in a hurry, go to McDonald’s.” However, I would like to commend the restaurant manager, Ms. Tamara, who was very respectful, understanding, and helpful. I truly appreciate her efforts to improve the situation. Despite this, I do not recommend trying this restaurant, and I certainly won’t be returning, mainly because of Luigi’s unacceptable behavior.

It is expensive and you have to pay 15% on the bill, and your order should not be less than 120 pounds, which means about 550 riyals, and your seating time is only an hour. To be honest, the first and last experience

I had high expectations for what was supposed to be one of Mayfair's most prestigious dining spots. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of the mark, and I found it difficult to reconcile the restaurant's steep prices with the mediocre food and service on offer. In a city like London, where world-class dining is abundant, Novikov doesn’t come close to matching the calibre of restaurants like Zuma, CLAP, Sushi Samba, or even other high-end venues across Mayfair. Let’s begin with the atmosphere — or rather, the lack of it. Novikov aims for sophistication, but the ambiance felt confused. The music selection, which included artists like Amy Winehouse, Gabrielle, and Lamar, seemed more suited to a casual lounge than a fine-dining restaurant. It was an odd, jarring choice that didn’t align with the upscale image they seem to be cultivating. Instead of smooth, ambient tunes, we were subjected to what felt like a mix of retro hits that made the entire experience feel less refined than anticipated. Then, there’s the price. The £80 minimum spend per person (excluding drinks) is absurd for what’s essentially average fare. How anyone is expected to consume that much food in a single sitting is beyond me. I’ve dined regularly at the very best restaurants in Dubai and London, and while I understand that fine dining comes at a cost, Novikov falls short in comparison to places like Zuma, CLAP, or Sushi Samba, all of which offer far superior dining experiences at similar or even lower price points. Simply put, Novikov is the priciest of the bunch — but the experience doesn’t remotely live up to the cost. As for the food, it was just… fine. Certainly not bad, but nothing that made me want to return. For the prices charged, I expected far more — innovative flavours, impeccable presentation, and standout dishes. Instead, we were served food that was perfectly acceptable, but nothing more. There are so many places in London that do this kind of cuisine better, at a better value, with far more consistency. The service only added to the frustration. Over the course of our meal, we were attended to by no fewer than five different servers. The majority were disorganised and lacked any real knowledge of the menu, which detracted from the experience considerably. Only one server, a lady who took over toward the end of the meal, showed any professionalism and attention to detail — but by then, the damage was already done. I even mentioned to the manager that she may think it’s "organised" to give different people different responsibilities, but it created complete chaos. Rather than a smooth, coordinated dining experience, it felt fragmented and rushed, with no one fully taking ownership of our table. To top it all off, when it came time to settle the bill, I was incorrectly charged for a double vodka despite ordering a single. The manager, somewhat dismissively, informed us that they don’t serve singles — however, the menu clearly indicated that 25ml measures are available upon request. After some back-and-forth and us pointing out the error, she took the bill away to amend it, but the whole interaction was handled poorly. It was not the level of service one expects at a high-end restaurant in Mayfair. Having since read numerous negative reviews on TripAdvisor, I can see that our experience was far from unique. For a restaurant that charges these kinds of prices, Novikov needs to drastically improve in both food quality and service to justify its positioning in this competitive market. What speaks volumes about Novikov is that they haven’t responded to one of the many terrible reviews on TripAdvisor. It’s clear that they’re not particularly interested in addressing the recurring issues guests are pointing out. If they truly cared about improving their service and reputation, they would engage with feedback — especially given the number of similar complaints. If you’re looking for an exceptional meal in London, skip Novikov and head to Zuma, CLAP, Sushi Samba, or any number of other top-tier spots where the food, service, and overall experience are truly worth the price. As for Novikov, it’s a classic case of style over substance, and based on our experience, it’s not a place I’ll be returning to anytime soon.

Have been there with my colleagues for a party and we were all impressed! The food was perfect, the environment was very welcoming despite how busy the restaurant was, and all this thanks to the lady named Angela, she was brilliant, with a warm welcoming and a big smile! Never been served in a better way before! My colleagues still talk about her and how she made us feel special! Well done to all the staff, but especially well done to Angela!

I’m not all too sure why we’ve decided to come here more than once. A sucker for punishment I suppose! And the bar/decor’s quite nice. Service-wise, I’d only recommend if you have a penchant for being looked down your nose at or being served by a face more sour than a bilimbi. Hope you don’t pull a muscle from laughing too much at their humour ;)

Given that the restaurant is larger than its size, it is a trend, to say the least. It has two sections, Japanese and Italian. My experience with the Italian section was less than normal. The food was less than normal compared to their prices. I tried pizza and pasta from the Italian section and the Japanese section. I took grilled shrimp from them. As for the service, it is very, very bad and there is no respect for customers yet. We went and asked. The waiter came to me and asked me to remove the cup, but he wouldn't bring the food. He said, "This police officer is our right. I refused." I took off the cap and said to him, “If you all have a police station, you would like to implement it from the beginning. Tell us not if we order and sit down.” And when I told him, “Eat the food while I walk,” he said, “Next time, we will not serve you food.” When I asked him about his name, he refused to give it to me because his manner was very, very bad. In short, the restaurant. The food is not delicious, the service is good, and it is one of the worst restaurants I have been to

My experience at Novikov London was extremely disappointing due to the behavior of the staff. One blonde female server, with her hair styled in a ponytail with bangs, rudely questioned us about a sushi order. When we told her we weren’t sure because we had ordered a lot of food, she sarcastically replied, ‘Then who would know?’ without even smiling. Later, an older, heavier male staff member came over and insisted that we leave our table due to the restaurant being busy, even though other customers who had been seated longer were not asked to leave. Despite the server responsible for our table trying to stop him and telling him not to speak to us that way, he ignored them and continued pressuring us to leave. This showed not only a lack of respect for customers but also a lack of respect between staff members. While the server assigned to our table did apologize on behalf of the others, the overall experience was unacceptable. It’s shocking that a restaurant of Novikov’s caliber employs staff who behave this way. This will definitely be my first and last visit.

Honestly, the experience we had at Novikov London was just ridiculous. From the moment we sat down, it was clear that the staff had no respect for their customers. One blonde waitress, with her hair in a ponytail and bangs, had the audacity to question us about a sushi order. We told her we weren’t sure because we ordered a lot of food, and instead of being helpful, she sarcastically snapped, “Then who would know?” Like seriously? That’s how you talk to your customers? And then, as if that wasn’t bad enough, an older man who didn’t even seem to dress like the other waiters or staff came to our table and insisted we leave because the restaurant was busy. Meanwhile, other tables that had been sitting longer than us were just chilling with no issue. The server who was actually responsible for our table tried to stop him and even told him not to talk to us like that, but he completely ignored him and kept pressuring us to leave. It was outright rude. Sure, the waiter responsible for us apologized, but honestly, what’s the point? The damage was done. This place is overrated with absolutely no respect for their customers.

Customer service is appalling in the dining area. Receptionists are extremely rude and arrogant. They have no sense of respect.

The crabs are displayed in front of the restaurant in an area where they can't even move as if it were a skill, waiting for their death and probably being cooked alive. This is nothing but torture.

Title: Terrible Service and Disappointing Experience The service at Novikov was absolutely unacceptable. Servers were walking back and forth, sometimes bumping into chairs where guests were seated. After finishing the first appetizer, the second dish took 40 minutes to arrive, with no one clearing the table or checking in on us. I had to find a server myself to ask if they had forgotten our order. Miraculously, the manager brought out our main course in three minutes, but we then waited another 30 minutes for dessert. No one cleaned the table or attended to us after we finished the main course. What’s even more frustrating is that when we first arrived, the front desk informed us that dining time was limited to two hours. However, ordering and waiting for our food took up nearly the entire two hours. This experience completely ruined what was supposed to be a special celebration for our wedding anniversary. It was embarrassing and disappointing. Despite the restaurant’s popularity and reputation, the service was utterly appalling. I do not recommend this place.

Food here is good but that’s about it, it’s certainly a dining experience and service is very good. The raw veg nibbles u get when you sit down are a nice touch! Not quite the place to have any meaningful conversation, music is pretty loud! But the restaurant is nice, great decor, really enjoy going to the back where they have a mini fresh food shop type thing going on! There is also a lounge for drinks!

We wanted to celebrate a birthday at a restaurant. Found the address and phone number on Google Maps. We called to book a table and arrived on time. However, upon arrival, we were told there was a dress code. I was dressed casually (sneakers, joggers, and a hoodie), and because of this, the security wouldn’t let us in. I have absolutely nothing against dress codes and even support their existence, but it’s incredibly disappointing that the managers didn’t think it necessary to inform us about it over the phone. Additionally, I want to point out the attitude of the security staff. The people at the entrance act as if they are of royal descent, speaking down to visitors in an unnecessarily condescending manner. When I called the manager to ask why we weren’t informed about the dress code, they simply hung up on me. This whole situation felt strange and absurd. I’ve been to Novikov restaurants in Moscow and Dubai and never once had issues with my attire, even though casual is my usual clothing style. I understand that security staff and some managers couldn’t care less about whether people return or not, which is why they allow themselves to behave so dismissively. However, from the restaurant management’s perspective, I’d recommend considering training programs for junior ground staff. The current behavior leaves a negative impression of the entire restaurant chain.

One of the best restaurants worth visiting in London 👌🏻 I consider it 10/10 in all aspects. The restaurant is divided into two parts, Italian and Chinese, but I recommend the Italian one more because its atmosphere is very nice and the food is delicious, but you must know that there is a minimum charge of 60 pounds per person and requires a reservation..✨ The dishes I recommend to you are truffle fries, white pasta with chicken, truffle pizza, and wagyu steak, and also their coffee is delicious🤤 Prices are high ☺️

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. The staff were shockingly rude from the moment we arrived, showing no regard for customer service. What made matters worse was that they enforced a minimum charge of £90 for a child, which is completely unreasonable and absurd. When I raised the issue, hoping for some understanding, the manager was not only unhelpful but also just as rude as the rest of the staff, dismissing our concerns without any attempt to resolve the situation. The entire experience left us feeling frustrated and unwelcome, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Always love coming here both to the Italian and the Asian side. The food is fantastic but I do wish the portions were bigger per pound paid. The desserts are absolutely worth it, especially the ice cream charcoal cone one - do get it, you won’t regret it!! Also, great halal options, which you rarely see in London restaurants!! The staff was very nice, and I always enjoy Novikov’s atmosphere. Definitely the place for a special occasion!! BUT I really wished that they didn’t take such a big deposit for a bigger party, so I can’t bring a larger group of friends here so we always go somewhere else rather. Overall, it’s worth it!!

Elegant establishment! The Asian restaurant is a cool and busy place. Service was quick and professional. The food was so yummy. Highly recommend.
