Absolutely amazing service by Dylan!!!!! I highly recommend this little brunch place in York, everything was delicious/delightful.

Great little spot ticked out of the way. The staff are always polite, friendly and welcoming to us and our dog. They have a good selection of beers on tap and in cans. The food menu has extensive choice of burgers, sides, mac n cheese, loaded fries and some good veggie options. Regular specials keep it interesting too. We've tried a lot of different things off the menu and all has been great but particularly some of the 'out there' stuff like the Vada Pav and Katsu burgers and the curry and mango chutney loaded fries. Highly recommend

Mi amigo y yo lo probamos al azar el otro día y fue una de las mejores hamburguesas que he probado. Mi amiga también tomó el desayuno y dijo que era la mejor que había probado. Muy buena calidad de carne. La hamburguesa me llenó durante todo el día también. Propietarios muy amables también

I took my partner to the York store on our first date. We were made to feel very welcome, and were able to snuggle up in comfort to play some board games and have refreshments. Happy to say we're still going strong, so thanks to all the team for creating a great experience.

Wasn’t going to eat here, however I am so glad we did, quite possibly the nicest burger I have ever had, great ambience, nice beer, will definitely be coming back

Fui a dar un paseo por los Shambles y me encontré con esta pequeña pastelería, compré un pastel de cerdo y pudín negro y fue increíble, me entristece que no seamos locales porque me gustaría una de esas cosas todos los días si lo fuera. Muy recomendable

fantasic food and service well worth going

Everything was great until it came to paying the bill. The card machines UI is very predatory. When you go to pay you have five options. 10%, 15% custom and, a pay whatever button which looks like the “pay with no tip” button which is something like 20% but it doesn’t tell you what percentage it is. Finally there is a no tip button which isn’t disguised as a button. I WARN YOU, IF YOU PAY WITH CARD, PLEASE READ THE MACHINE VERY (!) CAREFULLY. IT IS, LITERALLY, A SCAM. Two of our table of six ended up paying nearly £30 collectively extra, even though we included a tip on the final bill. Disgusting

Joel was brilliant and attentive for a bottomless brunch session with colleagues. Thanks to him and the team for a great afternoon where the drinks were flowing and people had a great time.

Was the only customer. Got my order wrong. Gave me bacon in a tray to make up for it. Cremated! I like bacon crispy but this literally shattered when touched, you can see the state of it on the photo. £13 or so for a burger. Terrible service and food.

El servicio de bar y el personal eran fantásticos, y tuvimos un gran tiempo dentro. Desafortunadamente, la experiencia se vio empañada por el comportamiento del portero. Fuera, amenazó a mi marido, nos lanzó insultos y luego procedió a quitarle la chaqueta, y quería pelear. Cuando intervine y le pregunté qué estaba pasando, amenazó con "sacarme el relleno de labios de la cara" y continuó haciendo comentarios amenazantes, insultantes y ridículos hacia nosotros. Lovely area this place is situated in and staff are friendly and polite we had a cookies personalised and it was absolutely amazing we will definitely be ordering again.

Really enjoyed my meal here. I had the chorizo croquettes, the steak burger, and the brownie with custard. Cannot fault the politeness of the staff. I didn’t think 3 courses for £31 was too bad these days. Only marking down because I thought it was quite slow considering how quiet it was, and because the restaurant was pretty cold in my opinion.
