Great burgers, large portions, lovely staff. Reasonable prices and a quirky cowboy vibe. Whats not to like. Totally recommend for all burger enthusiasts

Found this place based on reviews and was so glad! The restaurant is small/intimate, but the service and quality of food was fantastic. We both enjoyed our burgers so much and would definitely visit again. Quirky decor which we loved too!

We were in York for a sightseeing trip and we found this place on Google. Absolutely brilliant dinner. I had the pulled pork loaded fries. The pork almost melted in my mouth. My hubby had the Jesse James burger which he hasn't stopped talking about and my fussy (adult) son had the bull dodger (chicken) burger which he loved. I just wish they were closer to home. The lady was lovely and very proud of her business. It's only a small place but if you get the chance to go, then please do and support a small family business.

We booked here for a date night & made a great choice. The food was quick to arrive at our table & absolutely amazing! It was super messy though, so needed more napkins - my hands were covered :) Not sure if there were any desserts as the waitress didn’t come back over when she took our plates so we had to go up to pay which was a shame. The place is very small so I would recommend booking. The only niggle we had was that it was so quiet that we didn’t feel we could talk properly, there was music on but it was so, so quiet. Every time we spoke the guys on the table would look at us, so just 1 star knocked off for atmosphere - if there was a bit more background noise it would be perfect!

We visited today in the early evening and, despite arriving very early for our booking, we were welcomed without question. Great little restaurant and fabulous menu. Quick and friendly service of delicious food. Highly recommended.

Great spot for burgers, interesting and varied menu, and great service. They even had localish beer from Rudgate. It is a very small place though, so definitely worth booking ahead if you want to go and expect to be "cosy"!

Visited here for a table of 2 on a Saturday night at 8pm. We booked online to ensure we got a table. It's fairy small inside so I'd recommend booking. We ordered the Nate Champion burger and Wild Wild Fest (mushroom, goats cheese and roasted veggies) burger with coleslaw to share as a side. All burgers come with fries and homemade tomato sauce which is delicious! The food arrived within about 15 mins and all was delicious. The waitress was very attentive too. Probably the best burgers I've had, and if we were in York longer, I'd go again!! Make sure you go here when you visit York 🤩.

It was very good service and delicious food, also suitable for vegetarians as they do vegetarian burgers, I would recommend going there.

Saw this place the other night and my son fancied a burger! Glad we booked as it's a compact little place but the food and service was absolutely fabulous. I had a burger and my son had a chicken burger (Jesse James & a Bull dodger). The waitress was friendly and on the ball and the food came very quickly. If you're in York and want a tasty, value for money burger then you should check this place out!

We got into York at an awkward time and needed to get something to eat before going to an event so 7.30. We looked online and saw this place was close by so booked an early table. Although it says bookings are not necessary, at least 4 couples were turned away while we were there. Lovely burgers, which didn’t fall apart as you bit into them. Pleasant waitress and some local beers, recommended.

Absolutely disgusting I have eaten and enjoyed with burgsys on many occasions but tonight we ordered for take out, and the Absolute slop I have had delivered is disgusting I would not feed to my dog!!! Best part of £50 for something I can not consume! I am gluten free and the change in bun for 1 is horrific!!! Used to be amazing but never again will I eat here.

Tried for the first time yesterday evening and can’t wait to return! Absolutely fantastic burger, good quality meat, excellent fries and attentive service. We both went for the Buffalo Bill and it was succulent, tasty and perfectly cooked.

Went in here with high expectations and it did not disappoint one bit. The burgers are top notch, lovely fries to go with it. All the burgers full of taste, lovely sauces to go with it and a quick, friendly service. 100% would recommend and can't wait to return.

Firstly all burgers can be made gluten free by just swapping the bun and no extra charge like most places. Absolutely delicious burgers and loaded fries. Very reasonably priced. Will be thinking about how incredible our food was for a long time to come.
