The best restaurants serving American food in West Midlands

After reading a review on here we walked to the pub for lunch which took us awhile due to my husband using a walker. It was mid week quiet lunch.We both had the steak and mushroom pie with chips. This was delicious, the steak melted in the mouth! We found a little room for a sweet. I had the homemade lemon cheesecake and my husband had the Eton Mess, both were yummy! Sonia who was the chef talked to us about how she made her steak pies. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Thank you.

I have only just got around to typing this review, but myself, my husband and son visited Miller and Carter Cannock back in January for a meal in memory of my mum. She had wanted us to have a small family get together to celebrate her life and I am so pleased I chose this venue. When I booked, I explained the situation and asked if we could be seated away from the main area and my request was met. We were greeted warmly and shown to a table in the corner by a window. I am sorry, I cannot remember the name of our waiter, but he was lovely and attentive without being intrusive. The men had steaks, I had the roast lamb and we ordered various sides. I was happy to see Mediterranean roasted vegetables on the menu, such a welcome change. We then finished off with various desserts. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal from start to finish and then raised a glass to mum with our delicious wine. Thank you to all at Miller and Carter for making our emotional visit such a lovely evening.

Absolutely great, burgers from another planet and the most polite staff who were very accommodating despite being busy.

Popped in as we were passing as we loved the look from outside. Chloe was great and attentive, the music was fun and nostalgic and we generally had a really lovely time! Will love to come back for food sometime in the future.

Really good rhubarb sponge Bakewell type cake - heaven !! Made me think of my great grandmas apple pies. If I only I had the recipe. Buns and bread all are amazing. One thing that I find a bit disturbing is the number of dogs that come in. I know the world is turning to allowing animals in places however I do find that having open bakery in front of me and dog next to me bit unhygienic.

We love TGI Friday’s. When we heard it’s gone into administration we booked a table to get our last meal here. However, it was awful. You could tell the staff had lost their jobs and they wasn’t bothered. They was more interested in talking to each other. It took them 20 minutes to seat us. Even though it was empty. When our food arrived it was cold, they forgot our cutlery and the food was basic rations compared to their usual portions. The menu had also been changed to save money. When we complained they didn’t care. So we just got up and left without paying. We then went to Pizza Hut and had a fantastic experience. Sad as we used to love eating here Even if it does survive I won’t be returning.

Me and my partner went in to get the unlimited wings deal we also ordered a side of mac and cheese and pickle slaw which got returned very quickly due to them tasting horrific luckily the chicken was amazing and spot on however. Trying to get a servers attention was like trying to teach a goldfish to walk! Eventually we managed to pay after making direct eye contact with staff and all of the typical hand gesture which only took us 30 minutes!!!. Safe to say we will not be returning.

Shocking service today ended up walking out as the barman was too busy cleaning the beer lines out in the middle of the day. This is something you should be doing when the bar is shut. Took 15 minutes to get drinks when the place was empty and then when they arrived the glasses were filthy. We tried to order food but no one was about to order so we gave up and went elsewhere. The barman saw as we were leaving and all he could say is that he was too busy cleaning out the lines. Good luck to you keeping customers if this is how you treat them.

The way I have just been spoken to by not 1, but 2 of the staff is absolutely disgusting and I will not be returning. 1 individual in particular, Lilly. After standing and waiting for 15 minutes at the bar to pay for my food, all 5 members of staff (besides the manager) came tottering out of the kitchen to which I said "ive been waiting here for 15 minutes can I pay", she began to shout at me whilst in the restaurant, telling me the had an issue in the kitchen that they were sorting, even though the manager had asked them twice to come and and help. After speaking to me like a peice of dirt, I asked "excuse me who are you talking to like that?" Which she responded "you, im staff and you need to respect me, I was busy sorting stuff that has nothing to do with you". I asked her "whats your name?" As her name badge was covered, she looked me up and down and turned away. I then asked one of the other members of staff "whats her name?" And she said "sorry im not allowed to share that information with you". I asked who the manager was, she pointed to the man who was quite clearly very stressed with the staff team and their level of incompetence. I asked "whats her name?" In which he told me "lilly". What is concerning to me is how she so comfortably spoke to a customer like this with absolutely 0 repercussions. It is disgusted.

I ordered the smothered chicken burger and it was not smothered at all!! Tasted average, the burgers they sell at the cinema nearby and much more tastier and cheaper! The coleslaw was a small portion so were the chips. Waitress was not bothered and was being rude and told me she did not know how long it would take. Also, she gave me a fizzy J2O when i asked for still. Rubbish cheap food they charge a fortune for should bring back Taybarns

Have had drinks here quite a bit lately, but haven't eaten here in about a decade. Still just as good. Visited on a busy Saturday evening. Ordered food (and drinks) at the bar. Prices are incredibly cheap! (Chicken wrap with fries only £6.50!) Seated in the side section next to the garden which was nice with the fairy lights. Food was delivered quickly, was hot, and tasted good. And staff were really friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be there. I don't usually go for bar food, but for Loft I'll make the exception every time. It's a great place to start off a night out before bar hopping down Hurst Street, or as an evening out by itself.
