Have had drinks here quite a bit lately, but haven't eaten here in about a decade. Still just as good. Visited on a busy Saturday evening. Ordered food (and drinks) at the bar. Prices are incredibly cheap! (Chicken wrap with fries only £6.50!) Seated in the side section next to the garden which was nice with the fairy lights. Food was delivered quickly, was hot, and tasted good. And staff were really friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be there. I don't usually go for bar food, but for Loft I'll make the exception every time. It's a great place to start off a night out before bar hopping down Hurst Street, or as an evening out by itself.

Prices here are 20% plus higher than other close by venues. The stock is limited or none existent. I found it most unwelcoming and quite cold with the ladies toilet out of action. This place has gone tits up.

Greeted and served by cycki, they were welcoming and friendly to chat to. Great service , food came out quickly and fresh . Will be back again soon ( shame the veggie roast dinner options is sausages)

Been there many times over the years and has fab times. Has moved to table service only. Went for a drink on date night with my wife. We were told bar would send someone over to serve us(they weren’t that busy). No one came. Went up to ask again. Still no one served us after 15 minutes. Bar staff chatting and one has time to do shots with a table of customers. Would like to think that it was just poor service but as we were the only straight couple can’t help but feel discriminated against. We left and staff watched us go. Inclusivity works both ways. Shame on you Loft lounge. Will not be back

Friendly welcome. The former area restaurant at the back has now been converted to a chill out area/function room so disappointed not to be able to eat in there as it offered a great atmosphere. Roast came really quick. We went for the large roast & Our friendly waiter acknowledged our request for boneless chicken. The food had good flavours however the gravy could have been thicker & some of the vegetables where just above room temperature passable, thankfully the roast potatoes were nice & hot. I politely said it was ok as I was too hungry to make a fuss. Little things like that make the difference. Meat potion could be more generous too. Waiter Service very good. For £18 per head you expect everything to be top form & sorry it simply wasn’t so only 3 stars. Pull your catering socks up chef!

Sadly the Loft used to be fabulous, now its Ok (at best). Sunday roast used to be excellent (stunning yorkshires, well cooked beef and sauces offered). Today the yorkshires were stodgey, the beef was over cooked and they had no sauce to offer. Staff used to be chipper and add to the experience, today no one looked or acted like they wanted to be at work. Customer service is certainly something that can be improved on. Ambience remains great and love what they have done to dress the venue for Christmas. Gents toilet is concerning (the floor will soon colapse). Really hope this bar turns itself around, be great to have it back on form.

I run a venue myself, so I’m constantly looking for ideas and standards of other venues. This venue is great, it’s charming, spotless and the staff are fantastic, warm and friendly. We attended a private function last night (Saturday) in the Penthouse and we’ve just popped into the bar and restaurant for a bite to eat. Once again, great service and fab food! Highly recommend this place 👍🏻

Experiencing the bear weekend at the Loft as a guest and someone running an event I just want to thank Blanche, Iris and the whole team for a superb weekend. Nothing was too much trouble. They did exactly what they'd promised and did it with good humour and attentiveness. They are a delight! Thank you team!

Whether you're visiting for a simple drink, a fancy cocktail, a delicious meal or a big event, The Loft is a perfect venue for what you need. There's plenty of space downstairs and outside (which is heated and covered!) for the casual meet, while upstairs there's a big function room space, with many comfortable seats and sofas, an optional dance floor area and that's not to mention the many extra rooms that are ideal for training and more contained events. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming and accommodating, with a keen interest in community and service. The Loft should always be a top contender for whatever you have in mind.

I'm one of a team of Admins for the Midsbears. We organised a weekend event over Halloween and the team went out of their way to accommodate us for the event which was also a great success. They are all friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Even when crazy busy they all managed to keep smiling. Totally recommend this place and they do a fabulous Sunday Lunch too. Thanks all for making it such a success and a great first event for our new home in Birmingham.

Beautiful food. Beautiful atmosphere. Excellent service. Especially Fitz, he was really accommodating and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely go back again.

Came in with a few friends for the first time at the start of September, greeted by a lovely person called Iris. Went to get a table inside. Layout is lovely and all the staff seemed kind. Iris brought our drinks over and was more than happy to have a chat with us about our day. Reccomend some drinks which turned out to be my favourites ! I’ve been in a few times since and always greeted with a smile. Iris has always gone above and beyond in regards to customer service and I enjoy talking to them! 10/10 would recommend! Iris makes the environment so much more relaxing and I always know they when they are there, the service is going to be excellent 😁

The loft was always great for Sunday lunch but today’s experience was average. Tasted ok but luke warm and for the £12 charge portions very small. The loft has and can do better then this.

We have eaten here twice, including one busy bank holiday. Both times the service and food was good. I used to think it was pretentious back in the day, maybe it was but now I am happy to recommend it for gay visitors

The place is ok for drinks, but try contacting them and they never answer the phone, respond to emails & messenger is an automated response. They state no bookings yet you arrive and tables are reserved for people, question that and the response is ‘we don’t take bookings’. Nice waiting staff but service tainted with the place’s aloofness, just feels like they’re happy to take your money but that’s about it. Such a shame as it could easily be far better.

Waited for 20 min at the table and wasn’t served. Tried talking and approaching the waiter - ghosted and ignored. Tried ordering using QR code - menu completely different than the paper one.

I visited 24/04/21 we had a table booked at 6pm however upon arrival we were told this hadn’t been booked! Luckily we had confirmation on our phone to confirm the booking otherwise we wouldn’t have been seated. We were sat at a table with no heating. Most cocktails were not available we were asking for a couple of hours it was possible to move as were were freezing ! However as I was expressing my concerns the manager I didn’t get his name rudely interrupted and said we should have dressed more appropriately and if weren’t happy toGo to ‘broad street love’ this was said quite loudly I was stuck for words his attitude was disgusting and not one I would expect from a manager it left me feeling so embarrassed so we finished our drinks and left! After spending over £300 I was left feeling humiliated I WOULD NEVER RETURN!!!!! Food was served in cardboard boxes Luke warm no sauce or condiments offered!! Not what we expected at all!!!

Fantástico almuerzo de domingo y personal encantador. De hecho, me sorprendió gratamente lo encantador que fue el almuerzo del domingo. Comimos una carne de res y un cordero. Fui al Loft Lounge hace un par de semanas un domingo por la tarde a eso de las 5 pm. Pedí una mesa al aire libre en el jardín de la cerveza y me dijeron que alguien vendría a mí y tomaría mi pedido en unos minutos. También llené un formulario de Seguimiento y localización que me entregaron. Pasaron 25 minutos y nadie salió a tomar mi pedido. El lugar estaba bastante vacío y el bar tenía muchos miembros del personal de servicio, pero estaban más preocupados por charlar entre ellos y reír como pequeñas colegialas. Finalmente me levanté y me fui. Esta no es la primera vez que sucede y creo que todo se debe a la edad. No muy acogedor para los mayores de 40 en mi opinión. Este solía ser un lugar muy acogedor hace años y tenía garantizada una gran noche. Con la situación actual de COVID-19 y junto con el toque de queda de las 10 pm, necesitan cada centavo que puedan conseguir. Fui a un bar al otro lado de la calle llamado Missing y pasé una agradable velada allí. Personal muy amable y precios razonables de bebidas. Ahora, aquí hay un lugar que sabe cómo tratar a los clientes, y recibieron generosas propinas. Se me acaba de informar que este llamado fabuloso Loft Lounge se encuentra actualmente en liquidación según el sitio web de Companies House, y los directores van a liquidar voluntariamente la empresa. Lovely evening out, had food here to which was good but only issue was the Carbonarra was very salty. Enjoyed the cocktails, they were very good and good value on the 2 for £10 offer

Visited before Christmas. A great Saturday night with far too much beer, but a brilliant friendly atmosphere.Great bar staff and particularly good burger. Definitely recommend it. Went back for Sunday lunch, a real treat, and again, really good roast and friendly helpful staff, particularly Emily who served us. Would definitely recommend this place as a really welcoming venue for all who want just enjoy life.

13 of us including 7 children turned up on Saturday afternoon. We were seated with no issues. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The food came out really quickly and was really tasty, I had a Margherita pizza which is quite possibly the nicest one I've ever had! Would highly recommend.

My favourite place to eat when I visit Birmingham, staff are always friendly and polite. My usual choice wasn’t on the menu tonight and I was recommended two dishes by Jon - the belly pork was fantastic the best I’ve ever had I’m glad I took his recommendation, his service was also fantastic - it’s definitely worth a visit if your passing by.

Visité el loft un domingo de septiembre para almorzar antes de una matiné en el teatro. La comida era muy buena relación calidad-precio y tanto mi amigo como yo lo disfrutamos. Las porciones son generosas también. Emily, nuestro servidor, nos hizo sentir muy bienvenidos y nos cuidaron muy bien. Sin duda recomendaría una visita.

Visité aquí con amigos para almorzar hace aproximadamente un mes y quedé tan impresionado con la comida / servicio / costo que decidimos visitar nuevamente el domingo festivo, fue una fiesta de estilo caribeño y un poco ruidoso, pero no hubo problema, ya que la mesa estaba escondida, 6 todos tuvimos la cena de ternera, nuevamente comida fantástica que complació a todos, el servicio un poco más lento que la última vez, pero estaba muy ocupado y el personal trabajó duro, la camarera que nos atendió fue amable y muy agradable. . Recomiendo especialmente el almuerzo. . .

Visited this fun bar following a gig at the O2. Very good selection of cocktails & other drinks. Friendly staff. Lovely decor both inside & in the garden area out the back. A nice pre or post gig hangout. Would visit again when in area.

Visited today to round off our Easter weekend in Birmingham and we stayed a couple of hours.

Everything was over salted and the beef was so tough it was inedible.

2 friends had the breakfast which was small nothing like the picture on there bored out side the cherry tomatoes wornt roasted 1 slice of bacon frozen breaded mushrooms the wornt nice I had the steak which wasn’t cooked to way I wented and was very very small and over priced as been a chef it was more kids portion

We ate here before going to the Hippodrome which is just around the corner. We loved the food (we had tapas/starters). The place had a really cool vibe, the staff were friendly and the food which was half price due to a November special was delicious and amazing value. I am surprised by the negative reviews - this place is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Este lugar es genial para fiestas, pista de baile separada, cabina de DJ (con DJ de casa siempre que sea necesario; utilizamos una lista de reproducción); Zona de estar alfombrada con cómodos sofás y un bar. La comida era realmente buena, justo para nuestro grupo: pizza y hamburguesas, y lo más importante era que se servía caliente. La habitación es toda negra. morado y plateado con una entrada separada para la fiesta para que no estés en el bar de abajo. Realmente util. También tiene un ascensor, ya que teníamos un par de invitados que no podían usar las escaleras. Hay un aparcamiento de pago justo al lado y en el cercano complejo de Arcadia, también al frente del lugar (gratis después de las 6 pm). El personal fue muy amable y servicial en la configuración de la fiesta, brindando detalles en el video (teníamos imágenes en un bucle en las pantallas de TV) y música. Todo el mundo lo ha pasado genial, un lugar magnífico para usar en fiestas y eventos.

El bar principal es fresco, acogedor, y sería perfecto para bebidas frías con su s. o. Sin embargo, el menú de bebidas del bar se lee como una tienda de golosinas escolares en comparación con otros bares de su calibre. Los cócteles exclusivos no son más que brebajes azucarados de botellas premezcladas, y el personal del bar no le permitirá pedir un cóctel clásico ni nada que no esté en su menú. En mi última visita, pedí un ron oscuro y coca cola, cuando pregunté por los rones que tenían, solo me dijeron que era el capitán Morgan. Se han subido al carro de la ginebra y tienen una gran selección para los amantes de la ginebra, y esta parece haber sido la única parte del bar en el que se ha puesto un verdadero esfuerzo y esfuerzo. Came across The Loft earlier today while walking back towards the city centre after watching England win against India in the first test at Edgbaston.

My husband and I are regulars here and find, food and drinks excellent. Granted they are not cheap BUT the value for money is good. Their cocktails are well worth a sample

Met up for drinks on a Friday night with work colleagues and friends had drinks and food there. Toilets were clean, staff were friendly and polite.

My boyfriend and I love the relaxed setting of Loft Lounge and visit regularly. We've eaten there quite a few times too. We thought it was time to compliment this bar and in particular the food. I had the rump steak which is always top quality and perfectly cooked. My boyfriend had the cod in a shell fish butter which was amazing and very reasonable priced. Along with the great service, I would definitely recommend a visit!

Had a fabulous Pre Theatre meal in this place the Carribean goat curry was amazing and piping hot I will definitely return .

Slow service for food, expensive for food which is worse than Wetherspoons up the road. Dull food, like warm. Uncomfortable. Nothing like what it replaced (The Loft Lounge). Expensive drinks. All in all, we won't visit again.

This place is one of my absolute favourite places to dine out in Birmingham. I love the décor and the relaxed vibe you get inside. All of the staff are extremely friendly.

We called in The Loft one Saturday afternoon before Xmas, whilst on a shopping trip in the city and, whilst heading back to our car walked past this trendy bar in the gay quarter...so decided to pop in.

Love this place fab venue to get together with friends. We had lovely cocktails that were served to a very high standard. Fantastic quirky decor made this place really stand out .

Visited for Sunday lunch after a recommendation, service was a little slow, I had the roast beef, came with the usual trimmings, yorkie, roast potatoes, veg and gravy, food was nice but not much meat, it was just “ok” given the stylish surroundings and the £9.95 price tag I was expecting something a little more.

Walking past hungry and popped in for lunch. Spiced mutton was fabulous and homemade chicken Kiev worked well with rocket and Parmesan salad - (stick a lemon slice with it - brings it to life!). Very welcoming - we were impressed.

The drinks were really nice. I had a gin tonic and the barkeeper recommended I have a tonic water with elder flower which was really really nice!

Los Amigos se reunieron en aquí desde fuera de la ciudad para una bebida tranquila de domingo por la noche. La decoración ha cambiado y no nos pareció que era bueno. Demasiados bares tratando de ir por un shabby chic retro, tipo de aspecto y fallando. Las sillas parecen sacados de un skip y eran incómodas. Es un salón donde sentarse y relajarse, que no pudimos hacerlo porque el descanso. Intenté pedir cócteles en 10. 15 pero el camarero nos dijo que no tenían ingredientes para ellos, así que intentamos pedir leche para los conductores del grupo, pero al parecer había sido la máquina apagada y limpian y 40 minutos hasta cerca, no estoy seguro de esto es buen sentido de negocios. En general, decepcionados porque no pudimos conseguir bebidas que quería, así que nos fuimos. Probablemente no volveré de nuevo. Me encanta este años solía hace lugar, pero realmente decepcionado.

It’s okay to have meal and drinks..Although my food was very salty and it took almost half an hour to come as well. The smell of the bar is quite weird but younger used to it once you’re in there for a while.

Disappointing. Ordered Sunday roast. Vegetables so limp that they thoroughly deserve their place in the village. Menu states 2 Yorkshire puddings, but this was minus one. Had the vegetarian - tasted of salt. Cauliflower cheese tasted that it had met a pig somewhere along the way. Potatoes drier than the Sahara. Gone downhill, not impressed.

We had pizzas at our brief visit to the Loft and they were beautiful. Couldn't finish so took them with us and the boys behind the bar were lovely and welcoming. Love the decor and with 2 for 1 it was amazing value for money.

This use to be a cosy lounge type cocktail bar in the heart of the village. Unfortunately, a recent visit to witness the new revamp has left me dismayed. The cosy atmosphere has been replaced by sterile stools - are they trying to cater to a different audience these days? Totally lost its charm.

Went to a 40th birthday party upstairs at the Loft lounge. The approach to the venue room was confusing as it was along some long corridor with various rooms branching off and looked a bit scruffy. Got to the venue room ordered a drink but could not pay yet as the tills were not working. So payed about 20 mins later when the problem was solved. the barstaff were efficient as the night progressed. The room was a good size and well set out for the party, but the carpets and furniture was very rough, needs refurbishment, carpet full of chewing gum and chairs and sofas well worn. despite this the music was excellent and a good night was had by all.

Popped here for a drink during a night out recently - music was really good, but this was a Friday night at 11-11.30pm and we were the only people in there? Also asked for one of the many cocktails listed and it was awful (also served in some sort of plastic bag?!). Disappointed as general appearance and decor, along with prior hype suggested this would be better.

We only went there for a drink and a rest while visiting the Birmingham Pride we were in the Loft for about two hours and we loved the place, the wine was good , the music was great and the place was packed, we found a nice seat and just joined in the fun, we are planning a return visit sooner rather than later.....

We were looking forward to our Sunday roast at Loft Lounge. The food is served in a oven tray and tasted good however the biggest disappointment was by far the measly portions of beef and chicken. We had one small slice of beef and a chicken breast that looked like a sparrow for 2 people. It was insufficient compared to the amount of vegetables. potatoes and everything else that we had. Loft lounge you really need to address this with your chef & managers. When we complained. Instead of satisfying us, the customer, the staff took it defensively. There are far better places to eat Sunday lunch.

We popped in en route to dinner and were pleased to discover a fine bottle of champagne for £32...it just happens to be my husbands favourite brand too. The revamp is interesting and there is plenty to take in. This is still a good place for early evening drinks. Always like to pop in when visiting the area.

Lovely environment. Great decor. Tall blonde barman loved to undermeasure and charge me £7 for a double G&T! Happy to pay the price when the measures are accurate. If you are going to measure in front of the customers (as is the law), please ensure the jigger is actually to the line!

We have just spent the passed two days training at this venue. The service is incredible - down to all aspects. They create a friendly, comfertable working environment. The room we were allocated in was modern spacious and comfertable. For lunch we were provided with a mezze style Buffett which was absolutely lovely, and the 2nd day we ate in the restaurant - which I would highly recommend the food and ambience is very nice. All In all - great staff, fab food, professional comfertable enviroment and I would highly recommend. My company did us proud and I would be really happy to come back and visit again! Thank you :)
