My father spotted this restaurant on TikTok, so we made the trip from Leicester to see if the grilled food was really as good as it looked—and it absolutely did not disappoint! From the moment we stepped in to the second we walked out, Adam, our server, was an absolute delight. His passion for what he does truly shines through, making the experience even better. Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back again!

We came for a family meal and had the most amazing food. The atmosphere was great and so was the service in particular Adam, who was polite and friendly. The food was beautiful, we ordered 2 mixed grills, biriani and a chicken steak. Everyone enjoyed there meal and we will definitely be back again.

I saw a TikTok video about Tawas. , so I decided to try it out. When I arrived, the place was very busy, service wasn't good. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The shish kebab was cold, the lamb chops were tough and hard to bite, and the curry was far too salty. I really didn’t expect this kind of quality, especially after seeing the video. Overall, I won’t be going back.

My recent visit to Grillz Steakhouse on Ladypool Road left much to be desired, particularly in terms of service. The waiting staff were noticeably inattentive, often congregating near the bar and chatting loudly rather than attending to diners. There was little effort made to explain the menu or make recommendations—everything was simply labelled a “special” or a “favourite,” with no real enthusiasm behind it. The restaurant operates on a cash-only basis. To make matters worse, we were short-changed at the end of the meal, the staff casually dismissed the missing amount—even if it was just 5p, it was treated as a tip without consent. On the food front, the experience was mixed. The grilled chicken stood out as a highlight—well-cooked and flavorful. The fries and naan were also enjoyable. However, the pasta dish was a disappointment, drowning in oil, and the spicy rice was unexpectedly bland. We had to ask twice for a simple jug of water, and even basic items like plates had to be requested. When they arrived, the plates were noticeably small, adding to the inconvenience. Potato mash and prawns were great, but the ribs and chicken parmesan were poor. I was really disappointed in the chicken parmesan, tough, thin chicken and the crust wasn't crispy at all, wasn't a chicken parmesan at all.

I came to grillz today with the family and the food was ten out of ten! I have to say Alamin was very polite displaying great manners. We arrived when it was very busy but the service provided by Alamin was extremely professional and he personally accommodated for our family and our needs despite the fact it was busy. He was making sure our order was taken , and drinks made perfectly food arrived on time and even asked if we needed extra assistance.

Walked into restaurant and was greeted at the front by Alamin. Alamin was excellent in his service and gave us recommendations on what to order. Food was amazing and so was the service from the staff.

I booked the grillz private room for an event and it was a really good experience,the room was nice and aesthetic and private which was ideal. The staff were very accommodating and polite Food and drinks were really good and everybody enjoyed it. I Would definitely recommend and visit again. Hi guys, So I visited this restaurant as I’ve been here before and just like before the food was amazing. In the picture you can see I ordered a fillet rare on the sizzler and it was so good. If you love steak come here it is your place. The only downside was service. It’s really poor and it needs to be better. My waiter could not hear anything that we said. As I said and will keep mention the food was amazing even the lively sides. We ordered the special salad and it’s supposed to have olives and cucumbers but we did not received that so after telling him he took it of the pill and gave a discount. If you like steak I would recommend coming here

Absolutely amazing kebabish, perfect chicken parmesan, good quality chips as well as fries. Prayer rooms available (muslim) for those who want to pray as well and do wudhu (washing before prayer)

Such an amazing experience and delicious food and service was amazing brother obi and Ibrahim went above and beyond to look after us thank you so much will be visiting again.

Don't know why people make such a hype of this place when it is literally average. Firstly waited 30mins for a table of 6, to which when sat down told us they ran out of peri chicken, which is what we specially came for as they had advertised an offer on tiktok. If it was finished should be blatantly saying so upon arrival of customers end of rather than making us wait for so and so long to then tell us oh we have run out, it's just disappointing. Moreover if you are going to hold such offers especially around the weekend (we had come on a Saturday at 7.30pm too) then its clearly obvious that you will have more customers as weekends mean kids off school and people off work, on top of the people getting exposed to your ads on social media. Therefore make sure to have enough stock, otherwise whats the point if u cant accommodate properly. Ordered parmesan chicken, kebabish and sirloin steak, as well as a different platter they had available which had no peri chickens. I'll admit the kebabish was nice and to be honest the only thing that actually was the nicest out of everything we ordered. As for the parmesan, as soon as i took a bite of it, i tasted the fatty piece of the chicken that was so difficult to chew, like which parmesan chicken even should have those fatty bits still in it seriously. I've been to other restaurants and they certainly don't sell chicken like that. So that was a complete let down. The sirloin steak had average taste and again too much fatty pieces in it that you couldn't even eat, so half of the steak was a waste and a waste of money rather too, paying 19.95 for basically a kids portion of steak amazing 👏🙄. The different tawa platter we ordered came to us "supposedly piping hot and sizzling", within a minute or two was literally cold, cold that you could even touch the tawa and the stand its on and not get burnt, thats how cold. We called for the manager and informed them of the situation to which they implied they will sort it out immediately for us. They took back the tawa and after two mins or so, they brought the tawa back out again. Once again after some minutes the tawa was completely cold to the touch and so was the food on it too. It literally seemed like they just put the whole tawa plate on top of the stove, heated it up a little and brought it back out, thinking it was warmed up properly. However, the tawa plate got warmed up, the actual food though? no that did not get warmed up enough to which jus remained cold as before. At this point we were just fed up, we ate what we deemed as fine, paid and walked out. Never ever going to this place again. This was a first time going and the last now. Complete let down to both food and service and waste of £100+ . Ridiculous.

Absolutely sick of being spoken to so rudely , there is only one worker I don’t know what his name is but he acts like he is in charge and he is absolutely rude I am disabled and don’t understand things properly and this one specific worker is absolutely abrupt and rude and during Ramadan update your website and state you are taking orders over the phone and closing straight after iftaar. Absolutely unprofessional.

Amazing food. Fast and friendly service. I went there for Iftar, initially I was supposed to go to another restaurant which was really busy and packed. Grillz was also busy but managed to get us seated. Order was taken in good time, food did not take long to come. Great taste and flavour. The staff went above and beyond to ensure great service and food to us all ( considering they were fasting too) so I am writing this review as I appreciated their great service.

An Iftar party at its perfection. We were served by a variety of staff members and they were kind but also very patient. Food was perfectly timed but also the best Grilled sizzler ive had for a while! I will definitely be back (expecially for the mango lassi)!

We went in for a quick meal, we ordered dynamite prawns, lamb biryani and the mix grill and it was all bang on for taste, flavour and spice. Service was OK, they were pleasant. Added bonus, there are prayer facilities.

Good used to really good one thing I noticed owners not round that’s why staff and kitchen staff don’t care they gave cold food tawa I asked to take it back and the waiter told me 6 times nothing wrong with the food and refused to take it back it’s like I’m homeless and they’re giving me free food I did feel so low I was £60 for all the things I ordered but when the owners they everything different.
