Visited to celebrate our Grandsons birthday. Drinks and food order was taken efficiently with pleasant interaction between the girl taking our order and our grandson. We all enjoyed our meals and the plentiful refills of soft drinks. Our grandson received a slice of cake along with a rendering of happy birthday which he loved (even though he is 15) Unfortunately a few meals/drinks were unavailable including ice-cream and coffee which limited our choice but not our pleasure

Staff just cannot be arsed, we got there at 8pm and they’ve ran out of food.

Won't be returning. Food was pretty average and for £25 for a burger, expected something better. Only positive was the waiter we had who was very welcoming and friendly.

The service was awful, waited 10 mins to be seated even though the restaurant was quiet and we were on time for our 4:20pm booking. When seated it took 20 mins before we were asked if we wanted to order drinks. 3 of the cocktails on the menu were not available. The staff were not very friendly at all, and everything seemed too much trouble. One of the food orders came out wrong and again they looked at us as if it was our fault. Food was very average especially for the price. The menu choice is not like it was a few years ago. 2 of the desserts were also not available. This was for my daughter’s 30th birthday and to say we were disappointed with the whole experience is an understatement. We will not be returning.

Our table and chairs were dirty upon arrival - I told the staff, who did nothing - not even an apology. The toilets were unusable - literally, I held it until I got home, they were that bad! The food took ages to come, and was mediocre at best and SO overpriced! The atmosphere was noisy - so much so that I could barely have a conversation with my family! Inattentive staff. It's easy to see why they're going under! Their website says "kids eat free" - no, one child eats free. Just the worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant.

We had an amazing experience at TGI Fridays on Hagley Road, Birmingham. Jenna, our waitress, and Christopher, a South African waiter, made our visit exceptionally memorable. Their kindness and hospitality were outstanding, ensuring we felt welcome and well taken care of. Every time we visit, they create a warm and friendly atmosphere that makes us want to come back. Thank you, Jenna and Christopher, for always making our time here so enjoyable!

Always enjoy my time here. However tonight we were served by an amazingly helpful, polite and wonderful young man. His attention to us, ensuring we had what we needed and that our food was good was top class customer service and refreshing given that these days, customer service is lacking in so many organisations. Was seated almost immediately but then waited for 30mins for pur servers to acknowledge our group. Even though she acknowledged us she still never took our order. Overall food was overpriced and portion size was extremely small. For a sunday night it was that quiet you could hear a pin drop. Not worth your time or money

Food was OK. Burger was excellent to be fair. But that's where the compliments stop, everything else was so-so, corndogs came out of the freezer at Aldi for example. The waitress who's job it was to welcome people was about as happy as Wednesday Addams with the charm of Harold Shipman. The waitress told me to order my own food with a QR code. (Cheers).

I can honestly say i had one of the worse meals / experiences at tgi fridays when we visited saturday. We drove over from worcester as we had read that there is a possibility of it closing. Myself and my partner have always loved tgi fridays so was desperate to go just in case it was the last time. We got there for our table at 6 and ordered our food, we were told wed be waiting over 2 hours if we ordered starters then mains etc so best to order alltogether. I went for the buffalo chicken boneless bites and glazed burger and my partner wanted nachos and the vegi chicken stripes with a pornstar martini. Was told they had no cheese for the nachos and no pornstar martini so made some changes. We then proceeded to wait 1.5hours for our food! People who came in after us somehow got there food first which was a complete joke. We were also seated under the air con so was froze the whole time (tbf we asked the staff if they could turn it down which did help in the end). Seemed alot of other tables were also getting annoyed with the slow times. When the food did come, it was mediocre tbh, nothing like how we remebered. Also really wasnt worth the price. We complained to the server who said it was super busy and apolgised yet alot of the tables were empty so really struggle to see how this was the case. Really was a disappointing evening and was a real shame as we used to love this place. If you read the reviews, it seems a common issue with wait times for food, the price and the qaulity just wasnt there. Really disappointing and pretty poor tbh.

What a waste of a place, as could be really good. Service was extremely slow, food when it did come out (all came out at different times) tasted nice but it was very over priced. No atmosphere until it was someone birthday and seemed lively for all of five minutes. Won't rush back.

Went for the Bottomless brunch which was excellent. 2 hours and with excellent service also. The food portion was a little small and so you can end up spending more on food.

Used to be our favourite place to eat and drink but has gone down hill. Hardly anyone in there but still the music is really loud.

Overall, this was a classic TGI experience. The place is run down, but serves classic American fried food. It is super expensive to eat in, but the kids ate free - so it was ok. For the price, you can get better in Birmingham though, and the slippery toulet floors and sticky tables/chairs, have put us off going back. A shame, as I imagine this was once a great place to go with the family.

I visit every month or so with one of my nephews. Service can be a variable here and slow at times. This time service was good, food was a little slow. We normally order the kids meals before we even sit down to make sure they come within 30/40 mins. All food was of a good standard just a little slow.

Always very slow service but found this across the whole franchise. Expensive for what it is. Not a very diverse menu either.

We went on a Saturday. The order took quite a while to arrive. We had ordered the American dish, cheesy pasta and some burgers and fries. I would say, don't go when you are too too hungry, because it took a while (or maybe I was way too hungry) But the service was okay. The waitresses were friendly. Environment was neat and serene. And yes, enough parking. (how I always emphasize on parking because I don't like to keep circling around the neighbourhood in search of a space.) I recommend. It's kid-friendly too.

Absolutely shocking experience! Waited a hour for starters! It was really quiet so there was no reason for this. We hadn’t had our mains and was waiting hour and 40 mins and still no sign of mains! Luckily we asked for the children’s meals to come as soon as possible when our mains arrived because they was starving. After hour and 45 mins we still haven’t received our food and tables round us had theirs even though we ordered before them, they kept saying kitchen was really busy when it wasn’t! We ended up asking for the bill because it took too long and kids was getting unsettled. They brought the bill over with no apology and didn’t care we was leaving hungry. They knocked a percentage from the bill and sent us on our way, we asked what the problem was to then later find out they forgot to put our meal through the system and if we didn’t ask about our starters then we would been waiting a lot longer! Terrible service! Will never return here again!

We came for a bottomless brunch on a Sunday and had a great time! Sarah was amazing, and we will definitely be coming back.

Absolute joke. Again thick people only work here. Booked a table for 11 people over the phone. They didn't follow any procedure on how to book. Guy at the counter rude. Somes up tgi. Fallen so far from how they used to be. It's a shame used to be good. Now just below average.

One of the downsides to dining here is noise levels can tend to be raucous , especially if being asked to sit adjacent to or nearby 'all afternoon dining groups with unlimited drinks.'. You may ask for 'a quieter space' & , fingers crossed, you get one. I'd recommend you mention this when booking. Overall a pleasant evening meal & nice staff. Thanks 'Rahl' , for minding our birthday party of 8 yr old & 4 Adults. And for organising the cake & Rah,Rah, celebration for Isla. She was mightily impressed. Mr Tony & party.

Food was nice but portions are awful for the amount of money you pay! Staff are friendly but service is poor! Took ages to get served..we were told what we ordered would be plenty for 2 of us,but when the food arrived,I could've eaten that to myself! Asked for the bill,took 20 mins for anyone to come back to us, we were then left with the card machine for 10 mins which didn't work. Asked again for someone to sort it out,the bloke came back and said he'd forgotten about us. Very poor service as they were under staffed. Could've gone somewhere more upmarket and got more for our money and better service.

What a shamble! Went in, was told we could sit outside and the staff will come over to take our order. We waited a whole when noobe came we went in only to be told by another waiter that we have to pay for the food before we sit... no apologies for the wrong information. We were not happy so sat at the bar and ordered some fries... I could literally count 20 pieces for £5. What a complete rip off. We couldn't wait to get out and go to another place where the service and price was better. I won't be going here again!

Disappointing. On-line menu omits the prices. Now I know why. Food was ok, nothing special, but ok. But terribly over-priced.

We really enjoyed our experience at this establishment. The food there is very good. Regarding the menu, it’s quite varied. Small downside regarding the price which is quite high. €115 (£96) for 3 people, that's still excessive for 3 drinks, 3 burgers (simple steak and normal fries) and 3 desserts. Special mention to our server, Rahl, who was very patient and attentive to us because he knew that we were French. He took the time to understand us and was very professional. All the staff we met were great. Thanks to them.

Had to change my review after going again. No one at the front to greet, walked in and after speaking with a staff member then we sat down and he said a waiter will be with us shortly. Waited and waited no one come to the table, asked if someone was coming they said they will get someone but also can use QR code. Still waited and looked at code to book but waiting time was too long therefore just walked out and left.

Been here few times well worth coming to for great food and drinks.

I had an extremely disappointing experience in here. One of the staff members was not only rude but also exhibited blatantly racist behavior. When we arrived, he flatly refused to serve us and said, "I do not serve you and you do not have any choice." This kind of treatment is unacceptable and deeply troubling. When I asked for his name to raise a complaint with the manager, he refused to provide it. Instead, he told us that if we wanted to stay, we would have to wait around 45 minutes, clearly trying to discourage us from dining there. This experience left us feeling unwelcome and humiliated. Such behavior from a staff member is entirely unacceptable and reflects poorly on the establishment. I will never go to there and will try to prevent anyone who tends to go to there.

Family meal for my son's birthday, our server was polite and alert when we needed him, the drinks were slow to arrive even though it was not busy, the starters arrived mostly OK apart from the salad garnish which had browned and wilted looked like yesterday's lettuce, The mains arrived not entirely at the same time, when we were finally all presented with our meals that's when it really did all go wrong, my "Ultimate" grill had stone cold grilled corn, the steak which was ordered medium rare was cold unevenly cooked and grey, the chicken was slightly warmer but also unacceptable so that was sent back, my daughter then discovered that her Frank's redd hot chicken burger was not just charred it was charcoal on the one side so that was also returned, the cheese and bacon fries were also returned as the bacon bits In it were barely cooked (and that's not because I'm a "if it's not crispy it's not cooked bacon person" how the kitchen could send these meals out in this condition is beyond belief especially the person who knowingly sent the charcoal chicken, as the rest of our party had finished eating we refused any replacements, The bill was rectified to remove the bad meals and a discount applied to the rest, if only the kitchen staff were as well trained and bothered about the diner's experience as the floor and wait staff are, all 3 stars in my rating are awarded to them and most definitely NOT the kitchen.

We wanted to have a dinner with my friend around 19:30 on sunday. The staff didnt welcome us starting from the first second. They said we dont serve anymore, you dont have any other choice, you cant sit in… Even the they had plenty of empty tables and they close at 22:00. We left the place in shock. This was very very rude. Hopefully noone will face with the same behaviour.

Food is actually really nice, but if you're going for steak, go for only steak. I got a variety meat option. The steak was overcooked, small and salty, and the rest of the meat was also salty and dry. Maybe a one-off. That being said, the rest of their food so far is top-notch. Great atmosphere and great staff.

My experience was a lovely warm welcome. As we were seated with menus I noticed that they were sticky and dirty. So I asked for clean ones. The server came with more. Again they were dirty and sticky. I ask for clean ones again. More dirty sticky ones were bought to us. I said can I speak to the manager the server said I am the manager. Surprise surprise, I asked for another manager. Whilst waiting the already manager said I will take brand new menus from the box. Again they were sticky and dirty. My concerns grew. I asked if she was alright and could I help her. She disappeared came back with a new manager and after I explained the situation he said if you don't like the menus there's the door get out. Pointing to the door. This became extremely shouty between manager number two and myself. I explained i just wanted clean menus without someone else's food and drink growing on them. He stormed off. Manager number one came back. I kid you not 12 menus later before manager number one managed to find clean ones. I had to ask also for the sticky table with visible drink spills to be cleaned. The condiment wooden box was stuck to the table and had to be gripped and pulled off in order to clean under it. The most shocking experience at tgi I was so furious and left upset and confused. With great concern for manager number one. Backed with concerns for manager number two. Shocking customer service Something was not right Oh yes manager number 1 offered to read the (dirty) menu for me GREAT

This tgi Fridays today was terrible took 10 minutes to seat us at our table then another 20 minutes to order it took the drinks 40 minutes to come and the food come not long after we ordered a cheesy garlic bread but it came out with no cheese we sent it back and didn’t come until 10 minutes after we finished our mains and all they could say is sorry , staff ignoring us and trying to make different conversation with us we have been coming here regular for about 2 years now and always been loyal but today was a thumb down at the end staff taking 10 minutes to get change to give us at the bill and not knowing how much to give us and our waitress was terrible hardly knowing anything and layed back , terrible today Tgi Fridays

Starters n ver came out at the same time and then they got it wrong. Drinks were slow steak overly well done couldn’t chew it and chicken was burnt overall it was the worse tgi Fridays I’ve ever been to

Food is good, expensive for what it is but good quality. Staff are really friendly. Atmosphere is good. Just takes ages. 2 courses in over 2 hours, not really good enough for the price. Had to ask to order and flag down someone for a drink. Bit disappointing.

I love coming here with my kids. I have been coming to tgi's since I was 18, and still love it. The food and service is great, and the atmosphere is perfect for families and birthday's.

Dining out with a large group can often be challenging, but our recent experience at TGI Friday was nothing short of spectacular, thanks in large part to our waitress, Sarah. She demonstrated exemplary service from the moment we arrived until we finished our last bites. Despite juggling both adults and children, she ensured everyone's needs were met with a warm smile—making us feel both welcomed and valued as customers. Sarah's attentiveness was remarkable; she frequently checked on us to make sure all our orders were correct and that any additional requests were promptly addressed. The food itself was delicious and served perfectly timed, ensuring hot dishes for everyone at the table without considerable waiting. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience that all of us enjoyed immensely. We're already looking forward to our next visit and sincerely hope that Sarah will once again be there to offer her fantastic service!

When I got here I had to wait 30 minutes for someone to get my order. Then had to wait another 40 minutes for the starters and on top of all of that I had to wait 20 minutes for the bill after asking for it.

Poor bar services, not enough staff and very overpriced for the quality of food they actually deliver, menu is very small.

Used this TGI many times but it really needs a bit of updating. Exterior filthy and inside decor peeling and walls in need of repair where we were sat. For a Friday it was lot less busy than I expected. Our waiter was sound and the food was OK. Only birra moretti lager on draught, no bud😕 Love the steak here but no salad, just tomato and mushroom, very poor for what you pay. Overall food very expensive but was nice. This was my go to place for my birthday meal, probably look elsewhere next time.

Same great TGI you'd expect. On theme decor etc etc. Clean and tidy. Disability access and free parking. Great vegan options. We came on a very quiet Sunday lunchtime and waited absolutely ages for our food and then for the bill. Other than that I couldn't fault it.

We entered this TGI's and stood for around 5-8 mins waiting to be seated whilst 3 staff stood and stared at us, we were finally sat at the tiniest table, the atmosphere was dead and the staff were just so unenthusiastic and there seemed to be more life in a cemetery, and there were only 2 or 3 other tables and 4 staff on the floor and it still took 15 mins for anyone to take a drinks order, We witnessed food sitting around ready to be taken out and unfortunately it was ours £7 for 2 tiny Corndogs that you can get in a £1 Tescos party pack, 2 burgers that were 19 and 20 quid each the chicken in the Ultimate burger was thin dry and flavourless, the beef burger didn't look much better, there's been bigger better looking burgers come out of Maccies, the highlight was the cocktails even though they are around 5 quid overpriced, for 2 of us a starter and main with a drink each came to £74 and was severely not worth the money at all we werent even offered the set prices menus, we would've complained but there was no staff when you wanted them, and when they came near they ignored us not even a courtesy check to see if everything was OK,or if we wanted dessert. when we finally got a staff member he was quite short with us and seemed p!$$ed we werent tipping him for a complete lack of service. Definitely will not go there again.

Very run down outside, could do with some attention. Arrived at lunchtime but cleaning was still going on, so we left.

Came here for my birthday Wednesday and was so disappointed. We got put in a Corner and forgot about my other half did the endless wings, after 35 mins of waiting for his 1st plate, he was told he had 1 hour left before he even started, he refused to do this and chose something off the menu, the attitude of your waitress was disgusting she was talking about us over her head piece and then someone who said they were incharge continued to talk about us pointing and speaking loudly, we waited 40 minutes for a burger and a kids meal, also had to keep going up to the bar for our own drinks thanks for ruining my birthday meal TGI's.

If there was the option to give this place 0 stars I would … I have just left there and to say I am disappointed is an understatement. My son chose to come here for his 14th birthday and his evening has been ruined. … out of 6 of us dining only 3 managed to actually get anything to eat… steaks was over cooked and sauce that was ordered didn’t arrive .. the meals came at different times to the point some had finished at my mothers food still hadn’t reached the table along with the bottle of Heineken she had waiting over 20 minutes for … the cutlery was also really filthy and the general cleanliness of the restaurant just was not up to standard. Waiting staff were slow inattentive and generally quite rude. This place really has gone down hill

Aliesha was very sweet and kind. We went here for lunch for my husband’s birthday and the speed of service was great! We were stuffed after our food and she offered to box up his cake. I’d definitely come back here again!

It's not the place it once was , but its still a nice place to eat . A little understaffed maybe , but the food is still very good with some good deals on in the week . Well worth a visit .

About this restaurant everything is meh, the hamburger I've ordered the chicken inside was burnt and dry, the lemonade was flat and tasted bitter. It took almost an hour for the food to come through and I expected it to be as good as how I had it 3 years ago but it has clearly downgraded. My friend ordered ribs and it was totally burnt out. Burnt and dry. If you want good food go to another restaurant don't waste your time with this knock-off "American" restaurant.

Dont come here for bottomless brunch!! We were appalled by the lack of attention, we were served 3 drinks in 2 hours. Even after it reached 10, and there weren’t many here. We were being ignored.

We had Alessandra as our waitress and she was very friendly, really good service, very smiley, as it was my sisters 18th birthday she was very helpful and made the evening great.

Diabolical service and food served on Sunday afternoon. Place completely dead yet took over an hour to.recieve our food. We were a large booking but we all ate at different times due to there absolutely rubbish staff and service. Dirty dingy old place. TripAdvisor full of fake reviews probably done by manager and team !! Cleared our own table in the end !! Shameful!

£7 for a pint I almost fell through the floor

Ate here last night and was appalled at the entire experience. Not only did it take 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive after ordering (one cocktail, one spirit + mixer, two bottles, and three tap waters), but service was slow the entire time despite it being absolutely desolate of customers. Besides us there were maybe 5/6 tables taken at any given point. With at least 2 servers plus separate bar staff you’d think that’d be fine. They never took our plates once we’d finished our starters so we were stuck with them sitting at the end of the table. Then after all that, they completely forgot one of our mains, and we struggled to flag someone down to question it. At this point the rest of us were at least half done with our meals. They did comp the bill in the end, but it shouldn’t have had to get to that point, personally. On top of all this, the menu is so ridiculously priced now. £4.30 for a 330ml can of Dr Pepper? £17.99 for a single patty burger and fries that look like they’ve been sitting under a heat lamp for 10 minutes? £9 for a three chicken wing starter? Really, don’t waste your money.

We went for my partners birthday meal, we brought a surprise cake for him after our meal me and my other friend went to the toilet and after we came out we told the waitress if she could bring the cake out, we came back to our table and they had already brought it not even it being about 5 minutes after our meal they brought the cake out and sang happy birthday for him, I was quite unimpressed and very disappointed that they brought it out without me and my friend not being there, it just kinda felt like they were rushing us out to get everything done and over with.

Being from London and having been to TGI London, this was waaaaaay below par, and I'm afraid to say a terrible experience. Charging near the same as London yet the food was pitiful. I ordered Meat Free Fajitas. No Tortilla, a meagre amount of meat free chicken and a colossal amount of soggy onions and peppers. It took away from the genuine noice service. Will not be going there ever again.

Decent service, friendly and helpful staff, good atmosphere for a themed restaurant. The food is the main let down. Firstly it feels overpriced for what you get in terms of quality and quantity. As an American restaurant you would hope for large portions but this can be overlooked as a minor problem. The main issue is the quality and flavours of the food. I genuinely do not believe there were any major problems with regards to the food meeting the TGI standards. It simply comes across that they cannot do better. In the same fashion you know what you get from McDonald's the same can be said here. Given the rise of popularity of burger locations and the quality of said burgers it has raised the standards and TGIs has been left behind. As ever the JD glaze sauce does not disappoint, assuming you like something sweet but this was just one bright spot in what was otherwise a drab meal and eating experience. It had been a long time since I'd been to TGIs and it will be a long time until I go again.

Excellent venue with ample parking close to the city centre. Great vibes in the evenings with friendly staff and an eclectic decor this restaurant is well worth a visit. Try the deep fried spicy calamari or the new mac and cheese side. They are to die for. Also all cocktails are 2 for 1 every day of the week. Even the bubblegum daiquiris.
