Merry Monk in East Staffordshire

The way I have just been spoken to by not 1, but 2 of the staff is absolutely disgusting and I will not be returning. 1 individual in particular, Lilly. After standing and waiting for 15 minutes at the bar to pay for my food, all 5 members of staff (besides the manager) came tottering out of the kitchen to which I said "ive been waiting here for 15 minutes can I pay", she began to shout at me whilst in the restaurant, telling me the had an issue in the kitchen that they were sorting, even though the manager had asked them twice to come and and help. After speaking to me like a peice of dirt, I asked "excuse me who are you talking to like that?" Which she responded "you, im staff and you need to respect me, I was busy sorting stuff that has nothing to do with you". I asked her "whats your name?" As her name badge was covered, she looked me up and down and turned away. I then asked one of the other members of staff "whats her name?" And she said "sorry im not allowed to share that information with you". I asked who the manager was, she pointed to the man who was quite clearly very stressed with the staff team and their level of incompetence. I asked "whats her name?" In which he told me "lilly". What is concerning to me is how she so comfortably spoke to a customer like this with absolutely 0 repercussions. It is disgusted.

Had a great time, at Merry Monk, the staff were polite and courteous, Zac was our host and he was brilliant, would definetly go again, food was good.

I came here with my colleague, the steaks were fantastic, even though the chef was on his own, and we were served by Alex who was fantastic, cheerful and cheeky. It was a very fun experience being served by him and his attentive nature!

Brilliant breakfast experience we went there this morning with my husband our 5 year old and my mother in law nice and quiet excellent service for breakfast fresh food coming out all the time. Even better they have a very innotive idea to let children use the chalk pens when in the booths and draw on the glass to leave their own artwork such a lovely idea and great way to keep them entertained during the meal times and safe. Only downside is there not cleaning the tables like they used to meaning you have lots of dirty pots on the tables.

We booked our evening meal at this restaurant when we were visiting the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. Our waiter, Tom, was absolutely delightful and very attentive. We had a very nice dinner and enjoyed some friendly banter with Tom. I think he was the Evening Manager. He was very friendly and welcoming and came to check on us several times, making us feel like special guests.

We come here to meet up with friends quiet often for food and a good catch up. We’ve never really booked and we’ve always managed to get a table. The food has always been hot and fresh and tasty! We was served by George (Big George) who was fabulous with us. We will definitely be keeping this spot for future catch ups!

Dining alone, which seems pretty common. Food was delicious and good portion sizes. Reasonably priced too. If I'm ever this way for work again I will definitely return. Cori was lovely! Attentive and friendly.

Came to the Beefeater as part of a family meal. We were treated so well by all the team and the food was fantastic. We have been here a few times and each time we are never dissapointed. The whole team are a credit to the business.

The steak pie was unatractively served plonked on top of mash. i immediately asked for more gravy as it was very dry - it took 13 mins and 3 prompts to get any. As soon as the steak arrived more chips were requested. Despite earing very slowly ( as I was waiting for gravy ...) hubby had finished his steak by the time more chips had arrived. ...very disppointed.

Visited the beefeater in burton upon trent for the first time. Very pleasant atmosphere, tasty, well presented food. Excellent service, especially off the gentleman that was waiting on our table named janson. Thank you for the friendly service. We will defiantly be back 😄

Terrible food and service. Took 20 minutes just to order drinks and further 10 for them to arrive. Length of time for food to arrive was unacceptable. The only positive thing about our visit was the waitress Emily, who noticed that the other waitresses were completely ignoring us and came and took our order and did our drinks, as she knew they were going to take forever to arrive. Fillet steak was chargrilled and barely edible. Burgers were very dry. We ordered two sides of onion rings for the burgers and all we received was two onion rings each, so 50p a onion ring. Don’t waist your money here!!!!

Met up with old schoolmates for breakfast at The Beefeater.Was warmly greeted by Vanessa who showed to to a table,explained I was meeting friends before we start breakfast which was fine.After friends finally arrived,we were explained where the buffet for the hot food and continental were by Michelle who was very helpful and happy to take any order that we couldn't find ie poached eggs and fried bread.The food was excellent,starting with cereal of your choice followed by the hot breakfast.As we had a lot of catching up,we overstayed which they had no problems with.This time we were served by Ellie or Josh who served us with a warm smile and friendly but still professional.We enjoyed it so much that The Beefeater is our regular meeting place because of how comfortable they made us feel.

We came to the beafeater one Monday and the service by Becky was exceptional alongside the great tasting food.

I use to come here either on my own, or occasional as a morning breakfast meeting. We were always met at the door and shown to a table, order taken from a choice of items from the menu, with the food cooked fresh to order for around £7 per head. The last few times I went there and over the past year or two, noticed that both customer service and quality of food was not as good as before. I went this morning, the first time for many months and was very disappointed, staff although very polite and helpful, were not on hand when I arrived and had to look for someone. Then the biggest shock - that the price had increased to just short of £10, for this it should be still served to the table, whereas breakfast is now buffet style and typically with buffet style english breakfast the food is dry and tasteless. I also had to wait, a short while whilst the little food left had to be replenished, to which time I was asked if I preferred fried or poached eggs. This was the biggest shock as most places I have had an english breakfast and including on the very occasional greasy spoon, have on nearly all occasions had free range eggs. The eggs served at the beefeater must be the cheapest they can possible buy, must be battery farm eggs as not just yellow, tasted awful. For nearly £10 paid the breakfast is over priced and makes most greasy spoon cafes more a premier choice than beafeater. Admittedly the bacon is quite good and the sausages, but the presentation, cold plates and lack of on hand service when you arrive made me extremely disappointed and for that reason will not return either myself personally or any business meeting. I feel that the company felt they needed to increase their profit margins at the expense of poor quality and service.

Service was nice, waiters were kind and helpful. However, the meals were terrible. No creativity when it comes to cooking. Often salmon was burned, lasagna was greasy and over cooked , salad was not fresh and was drowning in grease from pesto ( they seem to use pesto dressing on most of their dishes). Vegetarian burger probably fried in the same oil as the meat as it tasted like beef :(. It is a sad experience. Seriously overpriced.

A few weeks ago I visited the beefeater with my family, my friendly server Zoe was very attentive and polite, even though the restaurant was very busy she was still helpful due to my dairy and gluten intolerances. She was also very patient with my son who is anxious when talking to new people but she encouraged him to talk by engaging in conversation, from a mothers point of view is a massive tick. Zoe is a credit to beefeater as I have been many times before and have not received this level of service.

We went to this beefeater with our dogs to be told that dogs are not allowed, which is fair enough. I asked if we could eat outside and was told that they were too busy to serve outside, even although there were lots of empty tables inside. i asked when they would be able to serve outside and the gentleman at the front desk just rolled his eyes and shrugged his shoulders. As we walked away a waiter came outside and delivered food to some other customers....Won't bother this chain with my custom again..

We had booked a nights stay at the Premier Inn next door and opted for the evening meal and breakfast to be included in the price. I had not read any reviews until after I had booked and paid and was very apprehensive about eating here due to the very poor reviews. Thankfully we had nothing to worry about, the food was very good, waiters very pleasant and worked hard. The service was a bit slow but it was a very busy Saturday night and it did not bother us because we had a drink and a chat whilst waiting. Breakfast was also excellent.

We had booked a table for breakfast for 9 people on Sunday and were seated quickly by lovely staff. We regularly eat at beefeaters and found the range to not be as good on the cold buffet here as in others. I’m not sure if things have changed or if they just do it differently here but cooked breakfast was a self-serve affair which we initially thought was a good idea. Unfortunately, the queues were huge, the items were not replenished often enough, meaning people were stood around waiting ages for things whilst the rest of their food went cold. The waitress did offer to bring us missing items to our table which was nice but the situation still wasn’t ideal. I think the set up here would be enough to put me off breakfast at a beefeater...

Great food at reasonable prices! Good atmosphere, very clean with excellent beer and superb staff! Would definitely use again!

Steak night with the Mrs. Swift and very attentive staff. Steak was cooked to perfection thanks to Kyra W our waitress first class job and kept the drinks flowing. Just like a good service should be.

This is the second time we've visited in a month.First time service was slow, we put it down to a one off.This latest visit has confirmed they just don't have enough staff.Waited, waited and waited. Other tables were the same. Eventually we asked a waitress whether that was our food on the side, which had sat there for 15 minutes. It was. We would have had dessert but couldn't put ourselves through the wait. Eventually we managed to get the eye of staff to ask for the bill, it never came, so we asked another member of staff. Will we return? Sadly, probably not. The food is good, but the service is a let down.

This was a last minute dinner it’s was welcoming and our server was amazing and friendly thankyou Alice and don’t for get to water the plastic plants thanks again 2 coach drivers

Just arrived and decided to grab a quick beer before getting my head down. On arrival told by the lady behind the jump that the barman will be with you shortly. Sure enough a fewMoments letter this chap serves me very promptly. I grab my beer and take a seat. 2 mins later the same chap comes over to tell me last orders is about to be rung. He then introduces himself as Rick and wishes me a good stay as after a bit more of a conversation he announces he is off for the next few days and hopes to see me again in the future. Guys if the rest of the stay is like this then My hat goes off to all of you. Rick is a very good ambassador for your team!

Stopping at the premier next door, so popped in here for something to eat, pretty empty for a Sunday evening, went to the bar, waited and waited, for a £3.40 pint of Carling, found a table on my as no-one was there to do it for me, went to order food, at the bar, waited and waited, ordered rump, no rumps left, fillet then? medium to well done please, 30 minutes later, waitress came over, plonked the plate down and walked off, can i have some cutlery please i asked, over there she said, seriously? i have to get my own, do i have to do the washing up as well afterwards????so the steak and the 8 chips i got for £20, the steak was dripping blood out of it, so npt medium to well done, more like shown the grill on the way through, this soaked the chips right through, back to the bar for another drink waited and waited again, why? the place was two thirds empty, not once did anyone check if everything was ok, poor service, poor food poor bar staff poor everything

We visited the Beefeater on Saturday afternoon. We were in a rush and told the waiter this as he showed us to our table. We were given an assortment of menus (we fell inside the time for the daytime menu so we quickly decided what to eat). Next a waitress came to take our order. We told her what we wanted to eat but she insisted we order our drinks first. We told her that we were in a rush but she just said “I’m going as fast as I can”. She disappeared off to get them. After another few minutes she returned and took our order. It didn’t seem impractical to order food first and then get drinks. The beefeater had a few diners. Food sat quite a long time under the lamps before it was distributed to the diners. Our food was ok nothing special. I have been to this restaurant before and I must admit have never had a problem but this visit was defiantly under par.

Booked a table via the Premier Inn. But when I went to the restaurant I was told they were full and couldn't accommodate me. They eventually said I could eat at the bar. Food was average, no cutlery provided, my drink didn't arrive so had to go and ask for it, just didn't want me there. Worst thing is that half of the tables in the restaurant remained empty throughout the hour I was there. Never again

Just called in on the off chance had a lovely evening meal friendly staff and good value for money no waiting for a table steak cooked to perfection

Visited here on a quiet Sunday evening. Took fifteen minutes to get drinks and take order. One of our party complained about a sea food dish. The manageress did not bother coming over she sent a waiter to explain that it wasn’t her fault as that is how the food comes in from their supplier. Our food then sat for 30 minutes under a hot plate staff stood around it laughing joking then finally after I complained bought the food. The chips were cold I sent them back they came back cold again. I complained and was given the head office details to complain to. I complained and the head office said we are sorry about that but we won’t offer you anything as we haven’t done anything wrong DO NOT EAT HERE

Very overpriced,pretty much same menu as table table restaurants which is cheaper for the same things.Food tasted fine once it arrived. When we arrived in the evening the floor hadn’t been hoovered and it just looked untidy.staff just seemed like they were going through the motions,not made to feel very welcome and we weren’t told which drinks came with kids meals so ended up paying extra for that. Wish we had gone to the Toby down the road.

The staff who work here obviously enjoy their jobs. Received free peas and my friend had her steak cooked just the way she likes it. Lovely atmosphere, fast service and delicious food!

We have eaten there before and have always found the food good but over priced, we had vouchers for 40% off so decided to give it another go, the food was excellent staff friendly but service slow especially bringing drinks, would visit again but only if they have any offers on which would bring the prices down to where they should be

Looked forward to breakfast as previously been good.However very disappointing.Hot food sadly lacking at only 9.15.I politely asked the chef if food would be long when a member of staff(presume manager) came alongside & snapped he’d been doing the orange juice ,he couldn’t do hot at the same time it was one or the other!I was so shocked I said there’s no need to be sarcastic to which he replied I wasn’t and walked off.If it hadn’t have been for the fact we had already paid we would have walked out.He never apologised or came near us again.Although he was very attentive to a table of 4 women using laptops( I think they were company staff) bringing them hot drinks regularly!Shame he couldn’t have taken as much care of the “ordinary customers”.Obviously they were busy but ,this doesn’t entitle him to be so rude.Be a very long time before we visit again.Very disappointing!

Came in for Sunday dinner after having a bad experience a few weeks prior I was worry!! But thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt..

The restaurant wasn't busy was greeted by a lovely waitress named Ellie who showed us to our table she then passed over to a fantastic waiter named Janson couldn't have been more polite and helpful, my son had starter ,main and desert i only had main course all were beautiful cooked well hot and tasty.....Its not fine dining but it's certainly nice edible food, and as a qualified cook myself that's hard to find now a days

Have had several previous poor experiences at this place, overpriced and poor food but decided to give it another go as we wanted to go out at short notice for Mothers Day. Booked a 5.30pm table for 4 at 2pm, but things didn't start well then they rang up at 5pm to tell us they'd run out of burgers and some steaks and chicken, we still decided to give it a go though. When we arrived we ordered food and drink, only 1 beer available and when it arrived had a 2" head on it. At 6.20 we still hadn't had our food and a very apologetic waitress came to apologise that our order hadn't been processed and they'd 'lost' it. She retook our order and offered us a sharing platter free of charge - we hadn't ordered or didn't want a starter really but reluctantly accepted. 10 minutes later she came back again saying they hadn't now got the steaks we had ordered for 3 out of the 4 of us! We again reluctantly accepted an alternative steak, when the food eventually came the steaks were under cooked. By this time we'd had enough, ate what we could of what was eatable, argued over what we were prepared to pay for and agreed 50% off the steak bill. After previous poor experiences and giving it one final chance I won't be going back! If I could, I'd score it less than a 1, it completely spoilt Mothers Day for us.

Booked a 6.30pm table for Mothers day, 4 adults. Wife ordered gin, to be told it was sold out, ordered another more expensive one. Ordered 2x Burgers, 1 x Fish, 1 x Chicken. 20 minutes later were told they had run out of both the Fish and Burgers.

My husband booked a table in advance to be sure we had a table on arrival. We were sent an email confirmation to confirm this. Upon arrival the lady said she didn’t know we were coming and that no table had been set!! My husband explained we had book etc but she said we needed to pay upfront 1st before we sit down... we have never done this before?? We were taken to our table and left to it? No one had explained that they no longer make the breakfast fresh to order it was now self service.. the food was half empty and not refreshed with items! The breakfast was cold. And the lack of service was shocking. There was no plates out and the milk and juice jugs were empty! We walked into about a handful of people in the restaurant there was more than enough time to refill. We booked in for 9:30am!! Sadly we won’t be returning. We used to come very regularly here to.. the lady who served us needs some training in customer service to!! Not very friendly or approachable. Nice way to start your birthday morning !! Not....

We are always a bit dubious of restaurant chains - I had a fillet steak and it was cooked really well My wife is GF and the staff were really attentive and keen to make sure we were taken care of, thanks very much

We were booked for a family meal, there were 8 of us. When we arrived we were told that they were having trouble with the heating system. We went ahead and ordered our food but it was only while we were waiting to be served that we were aware how cold it was. We eat our meal wearing our coats. The food was OK, that wasn't the issue. I spoke to the manager and asked if as a gesture of good will there would be a discount But he said it was not down to him, which if he is the manager I would have thought it was. I feel that as we had spent £160 a 10% discount would neither here nor there, especially as during January the whole chain were offering 40% off main courses. The only thing I can say in their defence was that we had been told on arrival, in hind sight we should have gone elsewhere. i

I booked for breakfast after my nights stay in the premier inn next door. I opted for the premier inn breakfast which was a mix of continental and English breakfast.

Our last couple of visits to the restaurant have been a little disappointing. Portion sizes are not good value for the prices paid. However, we thought we would try again as we had a 50% off voucher. I had a minted lamb dish which was served in a SOUP BOWL! Hence the portion size was the size of a child's meal!. I had 2 mouthfuls of potato and a little bit of kale with cherry tomatoes. The lamb was tasty but had been standing on the warming counter so was a little dry around the edges. The meal wasn't worth the £7.50 I paid and I certainly wouldn't pay the full price of £14.95! My husband should have had salad with his chicken dish but it didn't arrive and he had to ask for an extra portion of chips as he was still hungry! It's a shame, as the restaurant is comfortable and the service from Declan was good. You just need to get the food right - portion sizes and more reasonable prices for what you are serving. You may just encourage more customers.

I have visited your location tonight as staying in the adjoining Premier Inn. I travel with my job and frequent Beefeater and would select a Premier Inn due to the restaurant type. Tonight is the worst service and to be honest quality of food supported that service. Staff seemed more interested having a laugh together, and clearing tables was more important than the customers in the restaurant. 35 minutes to receive a burger which wasn't as detailed on the menu and even had to go to the bar to get a drink while waiting for my meal as staff paid me no attention especially with what I felt was an extended wait for my meal. I have been eating in Beefeaters all over the UK for several years and this location is not a good advert for your brand. If this was my first Beefeater experience I wouldn't be back... Poor service, poor food.. Biggest factor no one was interested or cared..

The customer service at this restaurant is outstanding. I was seated promptly and my drinks and then food order were taken as soon as I was ready. The food arrived quickly and tasted great!

I have eaten here on a couple of occasions and unfortunately the vegetarian menu always falls a bit short. There are a couple of items such as a cheese tart and a couple of burgers, but how about a nice curry or some variation on the one pasta dish that is on offer?

We have just been to the merry monk for a meal and feel compelled to write a review, superb meal, quick service ,hot food . However the real quality item is Ellie our waitress ! A real gem, not only was she friendly , attentive , funny , she was a human. We have never been made to feel at home as she made us feel tonight. Thank you Ellie and the merry monk, a great eating experience.

Booked a table before hand so was seated quickly, but then had to wait over 15 minutes for anyone to take our order (similar to other reviewers experience it appears!) The waitress seemed uninterested in our order and did not offer us the choice of skinny fries, salad, veg bowl as they had done at a different beefeater a couple of weeks before. Only after I said “can we swap one to skinny fries” was this done, she had also started walking off and was actually a couple of tables away whilst I was still talking to her. Which was a bit rude.

Seated straight away. Left for 15 mins to look at the menu. The waitress finally took our orders, we then had to wait 10 mins for drinks. My 7 year old had an orange juice but came without a straw. Obviously we asked for one, then had to go to the bar to get one. But joy of joy our waitress shift must have ended. The new waitress was excellent.

Went for dinner with family including one child, the service was shocking and the steaks were cooked wrong. Our server disappeared until it was time to pay, the bill was wrong, the staff were messing around while we were eating and then they told us to make sure that we were down for breakfast at least half hour before if finished or the staff would not be happy.

It’s my birthday but I had to work that day so why not treat my wife and myself to a nice meal!! I had an email at the beginning of the month from the Beefeater with a birthday message that would treat me to a free main course as a present well I could not resist that so I booked a table in Burton for 1815hrs with a special request for a booth, on arrival we were greeted with a nice smile and taken straight to the booth I had requested it was set with festive decor and crackers we were asked if we would like any thing to drink and given the menu to ponder on, and what a menu something for everyone’s taste in food including vegetarian options.

Went here for a birthday meal, it's a Beefeater so you know what you're going to get - good quality, value for money but a standard menu. However our evening was made special by the attentive staff that were welcoming from the very start, always on hand, friendly and helpful. Would definitely return

Sunday lunch with family. Sat down at 13:30, ordered at 13:45, food arrive 14:45. Waiting staff standing round waiting for food to arrive from kitchen. Food arrived it was okay but not great. Then we had to re-order dessert's which took more time and then there were things missing from the dishes. Its was 15:40 when we finally escaped from the nightmare.

As a regular eater here, I have often observed partial or full plates of food sitting for quite a while on the counter under the heat lamps awaiting other food items to be added or waiting for staff to deliver to tables. My own food has sometimes not been quite hot enough for me, but I haven't complained. However, last night my group were very disappointed to find our festive meal was luke warm at best and we did feel justified in sharing this opinion with our waiter. I have to say that both the duty manager and also our waiter, Janson, dealt with our complaint superbly and with an excellent attitude. They went over and above what we would have expected and helped make our evening extremely enjoyable. Normally, we would think twice about booking again after a disappointing meal, but due to the excellent outcome from the staff we will happily book here again. My feeling is that the equipment needs updating and better practices and facilities put in place to keep plates and food hot so that each customer receives an enjoyable, hot meal.

Good Breakfast choice as you would expect, full cooked breakfast as well as continatal, plenty of fruit juices to choose from, coffee & Tea, Toast, Croissants, Pain au chocolate, yogurts, fresh fruit, toast, all self service buffet style

First visit to the Burton Beefeater. Booked a table for 7.30 online which was quick and easy.

Really nice place and staff,the main meals are very nice and also they have a value menu during the day until 6pm really is excellent value not large meals but enough always cooked fresh and you can see them cook your meal. Would recommend 👍

Had 2 meals here recently . Dinner was okay - found the seafood pasta dish tasted like mac n cheese and was not a very big portion for £10 odd ! The breakfast was booked and paid for through the PI next door . It was NOT worth the £18 ! Hot buffet was a shambles - nothing like the pics and food items were not cooked properly - some looked raw ! I noticed a few people sending food back saying the same as we thought !

After several visits of pretty decent meals I was quite appalled when they brought out my beef and cheese pie to find it was stone cold in the middle please beware!!

Was not expecting a la carte, and I can say our expectations were average before eating here. We stayed in the premier inn before our venture off to Alton Towers and ate here at the restaurant. Food was ok however I did have a complaint with regards to the manager SCOTT what a rude challenging individual. He spent most of his evening sitting with family or friends whilst the rest of the staff were run off their feet. I can honestly say when I shared my complaint with him he was obnoxious and a very rude individual. I was fair and polite but he seriously needs to learn some customer service. I will be writing to head office with more details. Awful management hard working kitchen staff however

The staff are amazing. In particular Ellie and Rich. Made out 3 night stay a complete pleasure. We will come back if we do another Alton Towers trip. Really great staff xx

This beefeater is clean and tidy . It is amazing value for breakfast specially a family of five the children ate for free so cost under £20 for all to eat and drinks included we went here as was away for the weekend but would return again

friends ordered drinks before we arrived, hadn't arrived by the time we got there about 10 min after they rang us,when they did arrive after sitting for another 5 min they had no ice said ice machine broken and they werent allowed to buy bags in disapointing when you like ice in drinks and sitting in a very hot place. Service was very slow waiting staff were also getting drinks as no bar staff.The food was normal beefeater food just slow service.

stopped by here on the way back from Drayton manor and had a lovely meal. Came here on 15.10.17. the bar man tall, brown hair was very chatty and friendly and was always checking we was ok for drinks. we then moved into the restaurant and our waitress was miserable and sometimes rude she had blonde hair and think her name was Kelly only got this by overhearing over waiter asking her to do something multiple times. restaurant started to get busier as we were finishing but even to start with dark brown haired waiter was always busy and looking for things to do. Would recommend the steak ribs and prawn combo was cooked perfectly. bit expensive but the food is worth it.

Got to be one of the worse breakfasts I’ve had at a premier inn/beefeater. Extremely over priced, staff that don’t care, cooks that can’t cook(deep fried bacon). To half an hr to get the food. Glad I was only here one night, avoid.

Arrived at 8.30pm after checking into the premier inn next door. Not the greatest customer service. Myself and my colleague both had burgers, unfortunately they we both very over cooked. We ordered the Black Forest trifle which is lovely. Its now 9.45pm and our table is still not cleared. Plenty of staff about but they seem more concerned with setting up for breakfast than caring for the customers in the here and now. Wouldn't recommend....

Delicious food but the fantastic service made the whole experience more enjoyable. All the staff were happy, friendly and helpful. Our server - Emily was so accommodating, her cheerful and gregarious nature made us feel very welcome.

I can see the appeal to a traveling business man but really!

We took an old Friend and his wife for lunch.

The service tonight was awful. Waitress wad properly rude. We were rushed to order and then the bill was brought without us asking for it. the garlic on the cake was when she said "you are looking mad" how can she say this to a client?

We are regulars at our local Beefeater. The staff are very friendly, service very good, nice atmosphere, good food.

Can't fault the service, we were a group of 10 eating here for 3 nights all we can say is Doris provided us with some very saucy (meat) balls Clark was very sassy and entertaining. Justine who provided the starters outdid herself and they were the best of our stay. Ginger Jesus provided some excellent main meals. Dec who waited on our table was very accommodating to all are requests. Excellent service will happily visit again

We stopped here for tea on our way home from a long day at Alton Towers.

Coffee and fruit tasteless. Plates and bowls dirty. Disgusting. Find somewhere else nearby. Not much else to see except avoid.

Two of us had 2 courses around 8.30pm. Place was clean and tidy. Staff were very pleasant and approachable, service prompt. Food was fine, though a tad pricey for what it was,and I felt the menu was quite limited. Staff seemed to need more training-nobody checked on our starter but 3 staff enquired about the main. We didn't stay for pudding.

Booked this breakfast via the Premier Inn next door, and I am sorry to say it is the worst Premier Inn Breakfast we have ever had in all our many various Premier Inn stays.

Es temática y si carne redonda sensibles puede encontrar comida vegetariana desagradables. Yo estaba bien, aunque me hubiera sido más feliz con más opciones en el menú vegetariano puro. La comida era buena y las porciones eran generosas. Me gustó el hecho de que el espacio, no sientes que estás sentado cerca de otros comensales.

No estoy seguro de cuánto tiempo este lugar ha sido abierto como un beefeater, pero supongo que era algo más. Primero el wc discapacitados tenían papel higiénico por todo el piso esta era a las 12 del mediodía. La alfombra de bienvenida ha manchado y las vías alrededor de la zona de estar son pegajosas. Así estamos los asientos y mesas incluso el menú. Chicos no es limpio y pronto habrá alguien trató de intoxicación alimentaria. Los precios son muy altos de una coca-cola recargables £2. 99, parrilla, bistec 22 libras más que eso. Sí hay una hamburguesa y patatas fritas 4 onzas 5 libras a la hora del almuerzo pero McDonald ofrece son más baratas. Todo el personal era en sí ayudando a bebidas gratis y teniendo uno el gerente no realmente interesados en sus comensales. Sin duda no hay sonrisas ni amable bienvenida. "supongo que querrás un menú", dice una chica que sale a charlar con la cocinera. Nunca más.

Llevé a mi padre de 90 años de salida para el almuerzo. Pidió un filete y yo lasaña pidió. El caballero que nos sentamos era bastante agradable. Nos irdered bebidas el tiempo de atención fue realmente largo.

Nos alojamos en el Inn de al lado de la puerta principal para 7 noches, y comimos todos nuestros desayunos y cenas.

Vinimos aquí para una comida por el cumpleaños de mi esposa, también teníamos un vale. Sin embargo, ambos ordenados el bistec de solomillo, y debo decir que fue una de las mejores carnes que he tenido, preparado a pedido, todo ordenados llegamos en un tiempo razonable después de haberlo pedido. También tuvimos un postre, que al principio me pareció un poco caro, pero después de que llegué, me pareció que era una relación calidad-precio razonable.
