We arrived just after 2pm, the place was still pretty well packed out, many guests were there was lunch others like us were there for coffee & cake. Plenty of friendly staff on site, busy serving and clearing tables. We had tea & coffee and some delicious chocolate cake/brownie with choc bits on top - freshly made in the bakery. My sister told me the place has a great reputation , it's always busy with limited parking. Of course we'll be back again ( and again haha ).

We love Bruno’s ! I have been here with my partner , with my mum and with each of my children and everyone loved it ! It’s unique! The staff are amazing and so helpful , nothing is too much trouble for them . The food is alway great , good value for money , slightly different and quirky . I can only describe it as a posh , upmarket bakery where they serve fabulous food ! The cakes … WOW they are amazing !! You are spoilt for choice . My daughter always has cake night on a Thursday and we often get the cakes from here as it’s a special treat ! I have also had afternoon tea delivered which was the same excellent quality we have come to associate with Bruno’s ! They have the Midas touch ⭐️ Highly recommend

What a shame. We came here a few months ago and coffee and cake was superb. Service was a bit rude but gave them the benefit of the doubt. I told friends and family how lovely it was and decided to go again today. Oh dear!!! I've worked in catering and know how hard it is but as soon as we walked in we were made to feel rushed and almost in the way. The same girl who served us last time was rude, abrupt and should not be working with people. We were made to go upstairs even though my dad had a walking stick and there were tables downstairs. We couldn't look at display cabinet as we were in the way. So we decided to leave. When we told the Manager we were leaving as felt uncomfortable he said I don't blame you I might join you! I support local businesses but I'm afraid this one does not deserve custom.

It looks like it's going to be really good, but then you get in and get ignored by anyone behind the counter because they're cleaning down as it seems to finish really early. There's only leftover cakes and pies in a box on the counter, the tail end of the day's produce, so it's been out all day, and there's no one else expected to come in because they'll be shut soon - yet they still want full price of between £2-3 for each cake or pastry. Ridiculous. They're going in the bin if you don't sell them, so why not discount? £3 for a cream bun is extortionate anyway, obviously the owners have to pay for the chrome and glass overheads, but don't take the p***! The pies were put out again the next day at full price, we noticed that. Not very good at ground level.

Dropped in for a midweek brunch when on a bike ride, what a find! Smart bakery/diner, airy, modern and spotless. Lovely greeting from the staff, quick and happy service. I was then presented with my order, quite simply the best Eggs Benedict I have ever had and I’ve had a lot! The flavour, texture, quality and balance of ingredients, portion size was all perfect. The star of the dish is the shredded ham hock but the savoury bacon crumb garnish runs it close. A must try if in the area.

My sister and I visited Bruno’s for brunch on my birthday. It was a lovely little cafe with a deli, ice cream and drinks counter. The waiters were so cheerful and friendly to us whilst we were there. The brunch food was very good. You could tell they were fresh local ingredients as all of the individual products they were selling were locally sourced, such as, the honey. I would definitely revisit Bruno’s again for breakfast, lunch or for a pastry from the deli counter. Such a hidden gem!

We have been here a few times and the food is lovely which is why we return. Sadly on this occasion we can’t comment on the food. We know it takes about 40 minutes to get your food here so we waited. After 45 mins when it seemed quieter we enquired how much longer our food would be. They had lost our ticket and it wasn’t even being made. We had a toddler with us so asked for a refund and left. The lady who refunded us was lovely and apologetic. Also offered us some complimentary cakes. The service is always chaotic. You usually have to ask a few times for things (eg a high chair or cutlery) if you’re eating in. Sorry to leave a negative review but delays are the norm here and this one didn’t even end in us getting our food.

Hi Bruno’s, just a quick message to say thank you so much for the beautiful afternoon tea you prepared for my lovely friend Diane Lees. She ordered it for Tuesday as a surprise for me as she came to visit me as I’ve just had a new hip. What a wonderful surprise I had, trust Diane to do something so thoughtful, but I must say the food was 1st class! Well done to you all, and thank you! You are just all amazing at what you do! Best wishes Kay Johnson 💐

Popped in this cold afternoon to see what was left to ease our cake craving. All very friendly and welcoming, despite clearing/cleaning up. A lovely man appeared from the back with a tray of delicious pastries. We chose 3 and took away a delicious latte and hot chocolate. This place has a great energy with enthusiastic staff. I’d love to return. Shame I live a while away 😔.

I don't usually go out of my way to rite poor reviews however with my experience this morning i was obliged to rite this. Bit of food for thought; We made a order for Breakfast as we do every Friday, Order was collected and upon arrival back to our office we found the order to be completely wrong and missing items (Still paid for missing breakfasts). We discussed with Brunos the issue and was reassured that when we next order they will provide it free of charge as a gesture of goodwill, to which we were very great full. Today at 09:43 we called and politely requested our order to then be told that unfortunately they are too busy to process our order, and completely disregarded our request and said they do not want to make it today. Whilst i appreciate they may be busy, we are a customer who regularly has been purchasing for several months. I am disgusted with service and attitude we received, myself and my team will never use the company again. If i could issue 0 stars i would as i feel 1 star is to high. Disappointing!

Upon visiting Studley Castle we walked into Studley. Ideally came across Bruno’s Bakery. Delicious display of cakes, pastries, baguettes etc. Although sign asked for us to ‘please wait to be seated’ an assistant caught my eye and was happy for us to seat ourselves as plenty of tables available. We were given menus immediately and after choosing I ordered and paid at the counter. Waited no more than 5 minutes for 2 coffees, sausage roll and two scrumptious rhubarb slices. Very pleasant servers. In a short time the ground floor area filled and fresh pastries and sandwiches were being delivered to the tables. The customer toilets (ladies) were immaculate. I had to compliment the staff on such tasty food and service. Wish I had a Bruno’s near to my home!

I have been looking forward to coming here for quite a while since its opening not long ago. Finally had the chance to visit with myself and the wife being off work at the same time with the kids at school and took the opportunity. Went in and the display of food looked great which I looked at whilst I waited to be sat at a table. Being 28 outside I ask if there was room on the roof terrace, I was told to go up find a table and someone will bring over a menu. Loads of empty tables which was great as we had a choice. Lots of staff milling around, our table was next to the door to the roof terrace with staff walking past constantly. Sat there for 15 minutes and we were invisable, dd not even get an acknowlegment that we even existed. We got up and left, no one seamed to care we were going either with a crazy number of staff walking around as if they were blind. Went to the steamhouse backery down the road and although they were busy we were eating within 15 minutes of arriving. Definetley the first and last time I waste my energy here!

Nice pastries and a decent coffee. It’s not cheap, but not crazy expensive either - so overall pretty decent value. The “missing” star is just because they’re really slow to serve coffees. Really slow. They have lots of serving staff and not that many customers when we visited, so can’t quite understand how they were so slow. Might need another machine.
