It is not often that I take the time to pen a glowing review, but in the case of Miller & Carter in Stratford-upon-Avon, it would be remiss of me not to acknowledge an experience that was, in a word, exemplary. From the moment I crossed the threshold, I was met with an atmosphere of understated elegance. The lighting was warm without being dim, the décor tasteful and inviting, and the welcome from the staff both sincere and efficient—qualities all too rare these days. Now, let us turn to the matter of the food, which is where Miller & Carter truly excels. I opted for the ribeye—a cut I know well and judge harshly when mishandled. I am pleased to report that it arrived cooked to perfection, as requested, with a delicate sear and melt-in-the-mouth tenderness that can only be achieved by those who truly respect the art of steak. The accompanying onion loaf was crisp and flavoursome, and the signature steak sauce added just the right note of indulgence without overpowering the meat. Special commendation must go to our server, who was attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable about the menu, and possessed the sort of natural courtesy that one cannot teach—only hire wisely. It is all too easy to fall into mediocrity when operating within a chain, but this particular establishment has managed to strike that elusive balance: consistency without compromise, polish without pretence. In sum, Miller & Carter in Stratford-upon-Avon offers a rare combination of fine fare, professional service, and a setting conducive to both convivial conversation and quiet appreciation. I shall return, and I shall do so gladly.

It was great and efficent, we got served by Joanna and she was lovley she gave some amazing and friendly service would 100% go again.

Just to say thank you to Marimo for the lovely service he gave us. We had another lovely meal at your restaurant. We live in Barry Island and visit twice a year if we can we always book Miller & Carter for our December celebrations. The food the last few times have been outstanding so thank you to the chefs also. Jemma wasn't working so couldn't get to see her but Stallinos (think that is how you say it) always remembers us and come yo have a chat which is lovely. amazing delicious food would highly recommend and will definitely be having again. the chicken was juicy and tender with a smokey bbq sauce and the burger was mouth watering.

Saturday night, four of us couldn’t hear ourselves speak. One of the lettuce cobs was completely brown and slimy on the outside; replaced but still under par. Two of the steaks were still mooing even thought they were asked for extremely well cooked throughout. By the time they arrived at table the second time, the other guests had almost finished their main course. Drinks were fine, as were the mini desserts with salted caramel profiteroles. Bill with tip was £300; scandalous and most definitely not worth it. Worst Miller & Carter experience by far.

We had a really lovely evening for my boyfriend’s birthday. The food was delicious, well presented and cooked to perfection. Our waiter Stelios provided 10/10 service and ensured we had everything we needed, along with a very pleasant and welcoming manner, he was a delight! We would definitely return again :-)

Spent a memorable evening at Stratford Upon Avon Miller and Carter. Our party of 7 were greeted by warm and friendly staff. Our waiter for the evening was Stelios. He could teach hospitality skills, he was just so helpful. Our orders were taken and any of our questions answered with clarity and patience. I thought we were a large group, but Stelios never appeared rushed or flustered by us, he was just great. We ate a variety of menu choices and the scallops, sea bass fillet, cod loin, bourbon chicken were perft. We all happy with our meals- thank you chef. A surprise birthday dessert was a wonderful touch too.

Had a lovely lunch with my mum today where Stelios, our waiter, made a nice fuss of us and was very attentive. Food was brilliant, we had the 2 course lunch menu which was reasonably-priced.

Three of us had lunch today at Miller and Carter, Stratford-upon-Avon. Being Mothering Sunday, it was very busy. My wife and I had the Mothering Sunday sharing plate and it was excellent. Despite being very busy, the food was excellent both in terms of quantity and quality. The service, too, was beyond reproach. Our waitress, Joanna, served us both promptly and courteously. The usual excellent M&C experience. Thanks to Joanna and all the team.

We had a very nice experience at Stratford Miller & Carter, very well run, food and drink very nice, sunday sharer was plentiful for 2, Claire was our server, interacting with our boys. As a former M&B manager, I thought this was the best experience we have had at a M&C outlet. Nice ambience, Well done and Thanks, we'll visit again.

Ola our waitress was smiley, friendly and most cheerful, making the whole dining experience, for Mother's Day, a true delight. My son couldn't make it so I asked Ola about takeway and she made it so easy and straightforward for me. The restaurant was very busy I am pleased to say. Thank you very much to our server stelios, who was very attentive! We barely had to wait for our drinks, and wait between starters/main was bang on. We had the butchers block / sharing platter and every cut of meat was cooked to perfection, the only flaw is we were so stuffed we couldn't handle ordering a dessert 😂

Perfection! Friendly welcome, prompt service (from our server Stelios) and clear explanations with the menu when required. A buzzing Saturday night atmosphere! The best steak in my life (the chateaubriand) and tasty sides, topped off with a first class bottle of Argentinian Malbec. The staff could not have done more to accommodate us and surpassed expectations. Thank you for a memorable and enjoyable evening. This is the best place to eat in Stratford upon Avon, by far.

What a lovely dinner we had last night! Really good menu, I had fish, husband had chicken. Beautifully cooked and delicious. The steaks coming out of the kitchen looked fabulous! Our server, Stelios was super helpful and attentive. Perfect!

This was our first meal out with our 3 month old baby so we were a bit nervous about her being noisy for others. Amy put us at ease straight away and was so warm and friendly. The meal was delicious and great value on the offer menu. We had such a great experience and could truly relax - will definitely be back.
