Harleys Smokehouse & Grill in South Staffordshire

We booked for a birthday. It was lovely, everything about it. The staff were really helpful and the food was delicious. Would recommend to anyone.

Went for the first time today for lunch with my daughter & granddaughter (14 months)..the room we sat in was very untidy/dirty with remains of food under most of the tables ..table tops were laden with used plates, glasses and rubbish... All of the time we were there (over 1 hour) no one came to.clean the tables, one table that was occupied had a large dog that was actually eating scraps off the floor. I did have a quiet word about this to the lady serving (only 2 girls) & she apologised saying they were very short staffed ...and the manager was also off. Hope the manager is reading this as you really need to make sure hygiene standards are adhered to. .starting with employing more staff... Food was very nice I have to say & so was the girl who served us.

Why do restaurants forget to wipe the menus, no one like greasy sticky menus. Food was tasty, eggs were undercooked, eggs benedict can be done without there being raw egg white. That aside, nice place.

Recently Celebrated our wedding at Harleys and we had such an amazing day. Special thanks to Dee for assisting us with all the planing and for being there all day to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend!😀

Plentey of parking spaces when i visited. Nice breakfast. I had the largest size one. Not cheap but obviously made with quality ingredients. Good coffee with a great range of alternative milk. Staff were friendly and efficient. Cakes looked good but too full for one this time!

Decent place for a breakfast, fairly priced

Maybe we were an anomaly, but the food was average, service was shocking and the place was pretty much empty. 4 tables in the restaurant and yet we had our mains delivered and dirty starter plates left on the table. No ask for if we wanted sauce or anything more to drink (despite obvious empty glasses) £5 service charge added to the bill, despite terrible service we never asked to take it off, the bill was 72.99 and we were given £2 change, oh, keep the penny then!😂 we would have usually said keep the change anyway but a £5 service charge was not warranted so a tip certainly wasn’t either. Such a shame it’s a beautiful building in a lovely location but everything else lets it down.

Lovely food and lovely staff. Personally disagree with putting a service charge on the bill, hence why 2 stars and not 5. I think a service charge should be optional rather than implied to be mandatory (we aren't in the USA).

We've visited a few times and every time we are warmly welcomed. The food is lovingly prepared and so very tasty. They are happy with well behaved dogs, who get treated to a few biscuits and a bowl of water. Human food caters for the hungriest of appetites. It's not a great place for vegans as meat is the staple of the menu. We feasted on a New Yorker burger and a Pig Out baguette. Both full of flavour and utterly delicious. Would highly recommend.

We visited for our anniversary meal this evening with our family and Harley’s is our favourite place to go, the food is always tasty, great atmosphere and all the staff are so lovely, friendly and attentive. If you want to have an enjoyable meal in lovely surroundings with such lovely staff we highly recommend Harleys smoke house.

Food is always amazing, never had any issues with food or service. The atmosphere is pleasant, you can enjoy a conversation comfortably tables are spaced well apart your not on top of each other. Food is reasonably priced. Also had our wedding reception here an couldn't fault it, reasonable price all our guests enjoyed themselves, food was spot on.

8th June 2024, we had our wedding at Harley’s Smokehouse in the orangery, including the walled gardens and cocktail bar. The day was fantastic! The rooms were exactly what we wanted, and the food was amazing, from pork for the meat eaters, to veggie burgers, chicken nuggets for the kids, and the canapés were delicious. We could not have asked for anything more! A big thank you to Wilf who said yes to everything, and to Dee who made all of it possible with her amazing staff at Harley’s and Dunsley. They gave us a day we’ll never forget!! To top it off, 24 of us enjoyed breakfast the following morning, the perfect end perfect event. Thank you all David & Catherine

We booked at very late notice for Fathers Day 2024. We had an excellent experience. The staff bent over backwards to help with one of our group who is diabetic. Even speaking to the kitchen staff to measure the pasta. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was very good and reasonable. We had the best experience would highly recommend

Visited this place yesterday for the first time. It is based in a beautiful location, in Kinver. The interior was nicely set up and staff were very attentive and provided us with a good service. I thought the food was exceptional, there were three of us amd we each had the Trough for one. There was a real nice taste of smoke and we enjoyed every bite. We were so full we couldn't fit in any Gelato, which means I will have to return and try a smaller dish next time. We'll done guys !

Went for a baby shower , had cream tea . Lovely set up .

So decided to to come here with a party of 11 .. arrived early and table was already waiting for us .we also sat out side on the patio for a while drinking cocktails ,ciders and gins .lovely sunny area to sit in . We then moved inside to a well presented table views out side with menus for adults and children . We picked starters and 5 children went out side to visit animals and park area. Starters came quickly amazing portions plenty for ever body . Mains took a little longer to come but well worth the wait . It was busy . Brisket .chicken ,ribs ,steak ,mac and cheese all cooked perfect . Super portions .(See photo ). Staff were there asking if everthing was ok made sure we were all very welcome .kids loved deserts and play area . Bar prices were very good .cocktails yummy . Little gem we found and shall be returning .its not expensive you get more than you would expect making for 11 very happy customers .Thankyou guys keep up the good work and standards .

Lovely looking place to eat. Not sure if a Wednesday was a good idea as the food was very dry as though it had been kept warm rather than freshly cooked. The cocktails were £10 each and I believe out of a bottle not freshly made! The champagne I ordered came out as a bottle of Chenin blanc so that went back and a pre opened bottle of warm Laurent Perrier came back. My starter was nearly taken before I had finished and the waitress stood waiting for me to finish it so she could take the plates. Mains came out really quickly and as above very dry, I left half the ribs and some wings. The dessert was ok. The staff were setting tables and at 1 point the barman was wheeling the mop and bucket around and it felt like the staff wanted us out as quick as possible so they could close (19:45) so 1 🌟 for venue and 1 🌟 for the dessert. Overall £180 plus 2x Uber at £15 each a really expensive and forgettable evening

Food and service was fantastic, I seriously suggest to anyone who likes real smokehouse food to try this place. Went this afternoon with my wife and son for a quiet birthday lunch (my birthday but no fuss) and everything was spot on, from the salad (I find if a restaurant takes time to do good salad then it's only going to get better and it did) to the chicken fajitas (superbly presented) and the chicken wings and calamari brilliant. 100% good well done everyone.

I have visited Harley's twice now and have unfortunately never been blown away by the food. Considering it's a smokehouse specialising in meat I've always found the meat underwhelming. I have tried the brisket sandwich and the pulled pork burrito. Both times the meat has lacked in flavour and has been dry. It may have been because I was with a large table and it had sat under the lamp too long but I expected better. The chips and mac and cheese for example though were very tasty. The drinks selection is good and the service and atmosphere in the restaurant has always been good too.

Had seen the restaurant on social media that day and looked incredible so we thought let’s check it out. 2 people, 2pm Sunday. Not as busy as I’d expected inside. Reality was rather poor and for the price paid, £73 not including drinks. I was nowhere near satisfied. I wouldn’t recommend for a full meal. Staff are lovely. Nice venue and is perfect for a beer and some nachos with mates. Sat outside in the sun and had to order drink/food at the bar. Didn’t see the service charge on the bill. Considering it wasn’t table service - cheeky. Korean chicken, onions rings and burger fries are 5/5 all good portion sizes too. Large nachos were banging but drowned in nacho sauce. Mains are where it gets extremely disappointing. Fajitas. These came out sizzling. Smelt and looked great. Unfortunately chicken was terribly dry. Overcooked due to being so thin. Surprised the kitchen sent it out. Brisket was naff! Expected to be 2/3 slices of thick beef. What I got was 5/6 slices of dry and crispy deli style beef, topped with crispy onions served with cold chips. The Tesco oven stuff is better. The sweet corn was banging though as was the slaw. The edges of the brisket had gone crispy! Like Jerky. Only a very small piece in the middle was juicy! I asked the waitress if she could check with the chef if that’s the way it’s supposed to be rather than sending it back and feeling abit awkward. Waited some time and she didn’t return so I carried on. At the end of the meal she returned and said it shouldn’t have been like that but was a little late by then.. She asked if I’d like it taken of the bill, fair enough thanks, but I already paid at the start and so nothing was done. I won’t be doing that again. She apologised for that and the chicken, then took our plates - that was that.

To be honest...we only booked here because hickories was full...I had not been for many years and last time it wasn't the best... Though with my recent visit, I was actually very surprised...yes, it is still very expensive for what it is, but I must say my meal the chicken and chorizo was amazing and actually out of everyone's meal was the best valued meal. I think some of the other meals looked good, but for the money, I still think it is expensive. A friend had fish and chips and I think out of all the meals, that was the worst valued meal, if looked more like a fish goujon. The serving staff were amazing and could not do enough for you. I must say the best service iv had in such a long time. The place feels less like a canteen than it used, when it first opened. It is such a lovely set up now. Though it such as shame that it is little expensive, as it possibly be somewhere that we would go more often. The cafe upstairs is really nice to get a coffee after your meal.

Great little place. Food was great and so was the ice cream. Waited to get a table in the room with the toys and ball pit for the little one but a great little spot. As you can see the portion was really good!

Visited Harley’s with my partner last Sunday. We shared the trough for two. It was delicious and huge! Service was great too. Will definitely be back!

Was worried about reviews as not cheap. But 17 of us pre ordered. Couldn't fault the food. Large portions. I had the steak as not into other stuff. But was lovely and filling. Everyone said their meals were nice. Only minor fault. My daughter is gluten free so ordered a pudding as couldn't eat the cake that was was taken. But she had finished hers before cake was brought to table. Other than that fab meal. Ps the drinkers said good price for drinks.

When you go to a restaurant that calls itself a smokehouse and ribs are a main feature on the menu, it’s reasonable to expect quality tender ribs. Nice Smokey flavour but 2 full racks and one half rack - all tough, couldn’t chew the meat off or cut it off properly with a knife. They either weren’t cooked properly or they’re buying poor quality meat. Complained and was given £9.70 off a £97 meal. No wonder the place is so empty on an Easter Sunday while everywhere else is rammed.

Very quiet, but very good. I'm surprised it's not busier with how good their food and service is. They've got some good drinks as well at the bar.

We went on a return trip after a poor visit before. Things had not changed. Half of us had meals sent back as under cooked. For the price the Salad was a garnish & poor value on the plate. Replacements still poor so refunded. We would not re visit again.

First time visiting and we were there for a birthday party. Really friendly staff, excellent food and nice atmosphere. Also clean and nicely decorated. Only thing to Improve would be more car parking.

Harley’s was recommended by a friend. All I can say is WOW!!! Food was amazing, portions were huge, beautiful place and friendly staff. Food didn’t take long to arrive. The best by far. Will be recommending this place to everyone I know.

We had never been before and won't be going back. Over priced for average quality. No guiness and no pinot "it had been a busy weekend" we went on a Thursday! No toilet roll,cold air coming out the hand drier. Wine glasses were dirty. At no point were we asked if everything was OK. Staff weren't overly helpfull either

We hired a room for a birthday get together for a Saturday evening for a few friends and were pleasantly surprised by the charge of just £50 for it. We asked if we could bring a big screen and projector to view the boxing as there would be a lot of us and that was no problem and no extra charge. Unfortunately, the boxing was cancelled so we brought a Nintendo switch and had a Mario Kart tournament instead, which was again no problem at all. We were assigned our own barman (who was great and happily played all of our strange WWE theme tune requests all evening!) and all ordered food from the extensive menu. There were over 20 of us and every single one of us raved about the quality of our food. Everyone said it was an excellent choice of venue and we were all really impressed and will be revisiting in future 👌🏼 Well done Team Harleys 👏🏼👏🏼

Visit here regularly with my mom and kids for breakfast here and we always enjoy our meal, it's abit on the pricey side but we always know we'll enjoy what we're eating so happy to pay. I do think drinks especially could be a little cheaper (£1.95 for a fruit shoot) Would also say I like dogs, I own one myself and for feedback I'd say it's lovely that this place is dog friendly however I've been put off sitting in the main area due to wet dogs sitting on the furniture and touching the tables on more than 1 occasion I've visited, however I wouldn't knock Harley's for that as I feel the owners should have more manners

After searching for a good restaurant to accommodate 30 of our family for my Moms 70th birthday last Saturday, we found Harley's Smokehouse. Simon showed me around the beautiful premises for options. Accessibility was key for us so we chose the main restaurant, (although the whole place was suitable) but what an amazing layout this place has! Even garden options for summer were stunning! The team emailed my reservation, sent menu's and we sent back our choices a week before. The welcome, the service, food and atmosphere were absolutely fantastic! Nothing was too much trouble for the team and the chefs did a sublime job. The restaurant, kids outdoor play area, toilets & surroundings were spotless, I would highly recommend! We will be back very soon to Harley's, sending a MASSIVE THANK YOU to Simon & the whole team for making my Mom's birthday so wonderful! ❤️

We went on Sunday we both had brisket of beef, it melted in your mouth ad was so tasty, best I've ever had. Nice and clean service was good, would go again. I had a pint colada it was really nice.

we've been 3 times for family meals and each time it is sadly the same. order items days in advance but still have to wait a long time for food (55 minutes this time). ordered drinks separately in families of 4. sporadic delivery of drinks, had to chase for a few of them. very disorganised. one member of staff was completely on top of things, friendly and knowledgeable for non dairy options requested, one member I hop was new as was like a rabbit in the headlights and one was just rude when we had to chase drinks for a second time. food was mediocre when it arrived. Nothing burnt or raw, but not brilliant. We always give places the benefit of the doubt, but prior visits have been the same, so won't be visiting again. maybe this is the place for dropping in for coffee and cake ir icecream, but it's not for group get together.

We were a group of 8 plus a baby. My daughter had booked to celebrate my husband passing his transport manager CPC and class 1 hgv. She received and email explaining there was a group of 35 booked in 15 minutes before our group and could see we had requested a high chair. They said we would have about an hour wait for food and would not want to disappoint us or upset the little one. We were offered an earlier or later time to avoid any delays. We thought this was excellent customer service before we had even arrived. On arrival staff were very helpful discussing the menu with us. They gave us plenty of time to choose and also made sure we always had a drink. The food was amazing. The trough for 2 is really enough for 3 maybe 4. We had a lovely afternoon in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Not once did we feel rushed. All the staff were knowledgeable and happy to chat when they could. We will definitely be going back and highly recommend.

We made a large group booking for a family celebration, over 30+ people. Communication was great from Harley's they accommodated when we had to make any changes to the group size. We were able to pre-order, food all came together. Food was really lovely. Service was great, all staff welcoming and helpful. Great setting, would definitely recommend.

Had my daughter’s baby shower yesterday at Harleys the orangery room was fantastic and the set up was amazing. The food was 10 out of 10 catered for all dietary requirements the day could not have gone any better (except of course the English weather rain), the staff were so nice and helpful to, really friendly place get views and lovely atmosphere, would definitely recommend. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything in place and ready for our special day, Thank you all ☺️

The service was absolutely shocking. Table booked for 7.15 and by 8 we hadn’t been seated after two enquiries, so on the third enquiry we got seated at a different table than was originally intended for us. We then waited around 45 minutes for our mains order, which were lovely but we just got some serviettes and cutlery put on the table once seated. Table was cleared and cleaned but wasn’t set. Totally under staffed, even had to wait at the bar for drinks. We were thinking of booking a large party for Christmas but will now look elsewhere. There were 9 of us but we had booked. If only we were offered information and even an apology would have been nice! Food was good but just badly staffed and/or bookings not managed efficiently!

We hadn't been here before so went to celebrate my husband's birthday it was great the food was top notch and the staff were brilliant we will definitely go back.

Food was awful, cheap rubbery cheese and cheap thin bread not as stated on the menu, other meal purchased had to go back as it was cold. Staff were apologetic and gave us free coffee each. Very expensive(£12 with a drink) for a cheap sandwich would have been better buying a premade from a supermarket.

Food was very good but overall staff attitude was poor, our waitress was totally disinterested and portrayed a couldn’t be bothered attitude, staff stood around chatting ignoring ringing telephone , won’t be rushing back which is a shame as the food was nice .

Ive been meaning to post this for a while and eventually getting round to it. We came here for Fathers day lunch back in June. I came here for a Wedding and liked the look of the smokehouse so wanted to try it out. Our table was ready when we arrived and we were seated. The waitress took the drinks order and it took ages for our drinks to arrive. When they did, the food order was taken. Food didn't take too long but unfortunately, some meals were better than others. My beef brisket was really fatty and so was my husbands steak. The brisket was quite tough and didn't fall apart like it should. Chips were nice though. My eldest daughters fajitas were really good and my youngest daughters burger was OK. We ordered another round of drinks which also took a while to arrive. When we finished eating, we asked for the bill as we wanted to sit outside for while. The bill didn't arrive. We asked again and the bill still didn't arrive so we moved outside anyway. After about an hour of sitting outside, we noticed one of the waitresses start to panic and tell another waitress that we had left without paying. The waitress who had served us then decided to bring the bill over to us! Unfortunately, as lovely as the surroundings and venue were, we wouldn't return.

We had some very nice gelato, lots of choices. There were about 12 different kinds of ice creams. Recommended for ice cream lovers.

My food was OK pre ordered , fish finger sandwich, asked for granary bread, but it came with white, although bread was lovely,my partner had a large breakfast, sausage was pink inside, bacon was raw, baked beans over cooked so couldn't eat those items which was a shame.
