Wildwood Kitchen in Worcester

we liked the look algho it was empty, one rainy Thursday , it ws 3pm. What a pleasant surprise, food really good. our lasagne really tasty and a decent helping. Husband impressed with calamari. it didn't cost the earth and a glass of wine offered at nominal cost . Well it gets our vote. Can't rate the atmosphere, but several more people did walk in. Go again, absolutely. But we are 3 hours away from Birmingham. Shame.

This mystery liquid with one single carrot slice was meant to be Butternut squash risotto. It's missing every damn ingredient. This is disgusting. They charged me near £40 for this nonsense. Wouldn't answer their phone when they were due to shut in another 30 minutes. Absolutely lazy, disrespectful and just outright theft.

Great service, I love the seating, very spacious and the food was delicious. Good pricing and nice vibe.

We visited before a theatre visit on the spur of the moment. We were very happy with service and selection of alcohol free drinks was great. Food was fabulous we all enjoyed our choices and even had a dessert. Very tasty. Would recommend

Good food efficient friendly service

A large group of friends attended for a birthday, lovely staff and service. They allowed us to stay later as the birthday man was over and hour and half late. A 10% service charge automatically goes on the bill unless you ask for it to be removed as it's actually optional. The food was satisfactory... I had a pizza which was very large for one. If l had it again, l would share it and order sides as there wasn't anything with it. Burger meals were good, but a friend said,.. they had tasted bettering ⁷elsewhere. The vegan guest didn't like her vegan lasagna. Others enjoyed their normal.lasagnas but again needed side orders. The puddings seem to be the best dishes. My chocolate brownie was the best l have ever had. So, l may go back, just for the brownie dessert and a hot drink, but not a full meal. It was a nice overall evening out. It is positioned in the centre of Birmingham, where there are lots of choices to eat out, so we would try somewhere else next time.

We can't fault them anywhere. The food was amazing, the drinks were amazing, staff were helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful time before the theatre and will definitely be coming back on our next visit to Birmingham!

Lunch menu deals are good for value for money and the food's tasty.

Great food excellent service and great value

We went on Saturday at 4pm for quick dinner while we wait for our train thought that this was such a nice restaurant and had a good atmosphere. We entered the restaurant and we had to wait to be seated for a while as the manager and the staff has been talking and did not see us standing there aswell as the rest of the staff inside didnt even care to look at the entrance that the guest is waiting to be seated. The restaurant had less than 5 tables at the time and there were lots of staff walking around. We ordered our food from one of the staff and she did not ask for any allergies or anything then took the ordered. We asked for some tap water and it didnt come for 10 mins, as i said “there were less than 5 tables and lots of staff around” they weren’t attentive. Didnt check back on us as the carbonara was very bland!! No taste of anything. We tried adding more salt and pepper to bring back the flavor but still doesn’t taste of anything but bland cream. We told the manager about this matter and she did not help but said to add more salt and pepper provided on the table or they can bring chili flakes, oregano and tabasco?! The manager was no help and it wasnt the customers fault that the food was bland. It shouldn’t have been out from the kitchen tasting like that and having to add more flavors ourselves. Just super unattended staff. Worst service ever.

Went here with 11 work colleagues for our Christmas meal. We had a great 3 course meal with a glass of inclusive prosecco. Organising the meal was simple all online, giving people access to choose their meals and I as the organiser could see people choices and could chase people if needed. We had great service and great food would certainly consider a return visit.

Definitely wont be returning in a hurry! We went here for our xmas meal and what a shambles-One person couldn't attend and we understood they would lose the desposit but then told we must pay for their meal before we'd even sat down!!!!!! When our manager asked to see the policy and T&C's on this it was backtracked! Service was very slow and the potatoes on the xmas meal were beyond vile! Turkey and veg were nice though. Drink prices are absolutely excessive beyond belief, £30 for a bottle of white wine! We did not pay the service charge as it was awful-We made it clear we wanted to pay for drinks as we went along and they said thats fine but then backtracked and said it must be on a tab, shocking service! Honestly, go else where if you are considering this for your xmas meal!

Pizza’s no where near as nice as they were in the past - quite squidgy and bland now as opposed to how they were the last time we visited. Wish I’d have had steak or a burger. Service good, no complaints but nothing special.

Great pizza and delivery but guys, seriously what’s up with the calamari? There was like literally less than 9 small pieces. I get cost of living and all that but you’ve got to do better than that for £9!!!!!!! Absolute rip off. Pizza nice, the calamari is NOT worth £9. I have a photo of it but I can’t upload… UPDATE : managed to upload the photo to back up my review.

I book a table for 6 Thursday and when I return with my friends yesterday we were told that the lunchtime menu wasn’t on so was disappointed so I felt this should of been made aware on the website cus other customers will not realise it’s not on x

I'm American visiting a friend in UK. We went here for dinner. I wanted to try an English Philly. It was delicious! The steak had a nice kick to it and the sourdough was tasty. I was pleasantly surprised! And inside was beautiful and not too crowded like all the rest we tried. But be careful using the bathroom, or toilet, cause you'll have to walk a flight of stairs downstairs. I don't think that's very handicap accessible!

Had 2 x picante carne pizza delivered from this place and I was very underwhelmed. Super salty and weak presentation. Check the photos to see what I mean.

Lovely food apart from the pizza one of our party ordered that came with mushrooms on even though we'd ordered it without. We hadn't got time to wait another 30mins for a fresh one so had to pick them off. They charged half price for the meal even though they said they would take it off the bill, hence only giving 4 stars.

We had not booked a table and it was a busy Friday night. Unfortunately, we had been let down by another restaurant and we were looking for somewhere else for my birthday. Despite them being busy, they may room for us and it was done with a smile. Thank you Luca for being so helpful. Firstly, we cannot fault the service! Specifically Lucy looked after us so well and nothing was too much bother. She was friendly, polite, but not too intrusive. Honestly, a credit to any establishment. Next, the food.... oh my days, it was so yummy. Both my fiancé and I had lasagne and shared a garlic bread. The lasagne was piping hot and the meat melted in your mouth. It was so scrummy. We cannot rate this place high enough and just wished we lived closer to be able to visit more. Thank you for making my birthday extra special 💗

Nice place, nice food, a little over priced though for what we recieved.

Had pizza, pasta, and a chicken burger all of which were top drawer. Poretti is the beer they serve which imo is a terrible beer but it's beer none the less.

Lovely bread with caramelized onion starter. The calamari was meh, overpowered by everything with it including the breadcrumbs. It's always interesting to try a different Bolognese sauce and this was good. Not overpowered by anything, just rather nice. Apparently the chicken Caesar salad was good as well but hey, salad. Why go to an Italian restaurant to eat leaves. Go and be a giraffe or something, run the plains, get eaten... It order proper food.

Our daughter chose here for a family meal following a good experience she had at their Bicester outlet. There were 6 of us plus a toddler on a Friday night. First impressions are very good, smart decor and a warm dining room. I thought it was very quiet for a Friday night. Our expectations were high but unfortunately it didn't live up to them. Our table was at the end of the restaurant, three of us having to look at a wall, and strangely the table was picking up an annoying vibration from somewhere. In hindsight I should have asked to be moved. The service was pleasant but couldn't say it was 'professional' or attentive but you can't blame the staff if they haven't been trained correctly We weren't asked if anyone had allergies, nor was there any guidance in the menu. It was important to us as one has an egg allergy which can be severe at times. Unfortunately our waitress had to keep checking with the kitchen for guidance and then it became apparent that some of their food is bought in and they had to read the labels. It was eventually sorted but it did take time. Similarly, as a driver I would have liked to see the strength of the beers stated. We went straight into mains which took over an hour to arrive from ordering. Even then there was a 10 minutes difference between the first and last dish on the table. They had obviously forgotten one dish and a side although the waitress did try to cover for the kitchen mistake. I enjoyed my exceptionally large calzone, the two pizzas were ok, a bit bland perhaps, the three pasta dishes looked good but my daughter left half of hers. Some of the food including the sides was hot, some cool which suggests they hadn't got it together. The chips were also overly salted for our tastes. At no time were we asked if everything was ok and the table was very slow to be cleared. We finished with two desserts which were very good. I think our waitress realised that we weren't entirely happy, and a 'new' face brought us the bill. Under the circumstances I thought it not unreasonable to ask for the £21 service charge to be deducted. Disappointing overall, it should have been better but it wasn't a 'bad' evening.

We had a lovely meal here, everyone enjoyed their meal in our group. Fun and friendly staff. Great choice for a superior meal to places like zizzi, they are a chain restaurant but I would definitely use again.

Really accommodating and peaceful, not too crowded or uncomfortable

Nice little spot away from the hustle and bustle of New St. Both the staff were spot on and attentive but not intrusive. Could've done with a little bit higher music level with not many diners in there. We were in a bit of a rush and would've loved to stay for dessert. The pizza and good ol spaghetti bolognese with garlic bread hit the spot. Would've like a bit more sauce but not a major issue. Clean and comfortable, we would definitely return 👍

Great little restaurant, this was our first time visiting Birmingham centre yesterday and we found this place the food was amazing and our waiter this gentleman (sorry don't know his name) was brilliant would definitely come again

We stumbled across this place when wandering around Birmingham. Nice venue with happy and friendly staff. One of the best long Island iced teas I've had in a long while which was nice 🙂. We had lasagne, carbonara, steak Philly pizza and double pepperoni pizza and all meals were lovely. Side of garlic bread with onions was also very tasty. Would highly recommend this place.

Ordered off the lunch menu, asked for a white wine, brought red. When i mentioned this it was quickly sorted but then it seemed to be the topic of discussion with staff, this made me feel awkward. We also ordered a starter which never came. Again it felt awkward as it seemed that right in the middle of the restaurant there was a table with staff on break, could hear everything, when this was mentioned i just wanted to leave immediately. Service felt forced and fake, The food we did receive was nice, but service wise this made my whole experience awkward, when the bill came to be honest I just wanted to leave as quickly as possible.

The food was amazing, and the service was fantastic. Our server, Patrycja, was really nice and took care of all our needs. I would highly recommend this place to everyone!

I had pizza 4 season . Dinner and dessert were good . The long street window invited me to visit this restaurant . It was not full . Enough seats to sit down . Very good comfortable Ambiente .

Had lunch here today, very good service and food was tasty.

If you enjoy disappointing food and a long wait this is the place to be. Staff looked bored and uninterested in greeting customers and were constantly floating about apart from when checking their phone (especially the manager). If that didn’t spoil the start of our meal out the food certainly did. I ordered the risotto chicken and asparagus. The rice was mushy and the chicken was bland I had to season it myself to try and salvage it but damage had already been done and I ended up leaving most of it. We put our drinks to other side of the table to show we were finished however no one offered us refills and then we waited 25 minutes for the bill and had to chase down a member of staff (by this point they all hid out the back). Honestly one of the worst experiences I have had in hospitality. I really hope you manage to rectify this.

Painfully overcooked risotto that was bland, mushy, and cold. Carbonara with gammy bacon not cooked through and also bland. Staff mill about and constantly check their phones or would rather just chinwag with each other then attend diners. 25 minutes after the meal, without an offer of another drink, I had to get up and ask for the bill as the staff had no interest in checking in with us. Would’ve happily spent more money if we’d been attended to, but if Wildwood have no interest in tending their customers, I’ve no interest in spending more money I’m afraid.

Mia our waitress was awesome, we had a lot of questions regarding student discount & wines etc, but she was fab and the so was the food. Will be back again, only gave 4 stars because the seafood pasta could have been a bit more flavour.

First time visiting Birmingham yesterday for the theatre and stumbled across this lovely restaurant - so glad we did. Friendly service. But the highlight was the food. So many options for vegans and veggies - I found it so hard to choose! Re the food: The best vegan lasagne I’ve ever had and all other members of family adored their meals too. Fries were also delicious. We were slightly frustrated at waiting for around 35 minutes for the food but when it arrived it was piping hot and so good that we didn’t mind waiting that time for the food. Tasted very fresh and quality of ingredients was superb. It was absolutely worth it. If I could give the food 10*s I would. We are not local to Bham but will be visiting other branches nearer to us when we get the chance. Brilliant meal, thank you to all and especially the chefs - still thinking about the delicious food! Absolutely the best chain Italian restaurant we’ve been to

The food was lovely if not great portions and somewhat lukewarm. SeaBass was also burnt.Not sure this place has a real Mediterranean feel no ane -i pasta etc..Biggest deal here was we has somebody with us who was disabled and lift to bathroom facilities out of order -advice was to go to a nearby restaurant and ask to use facilities there saying where you were from.Being disabled is bad enough without this.Why would you go to one restaurant to be then told to use the facilities of another ? Made the disabled member of the group stick out like a sore thumb.

Wildwood is a great place to eat, with a friendly staff creating a welcoming atmosphere. While the food didn’t stand out for me, I still had an enjoyable dining experience.

I came here to enjoy the lunch deal, and while the food and service was excellent I was highly annoyed that I’d been charged full price for things I had specifically picked from the £15.99 lunch deal. For relevancy I ate at 2.30 on. A Friday afternoon when the deal was still supposedly live. Really put me off going again.

Even though the calamari was good the steak was a let down maybe the degree of doneness was good midium read to bitter taste (caused by burns and dirty grill) I can still feel it (I ate an hour ago). The waiters were not even interested if everything was ok (I understand only 2 people service ). A bit poor quality and customer care considering how hard times restaurants have

Came to Worcester for a day out and decided to come to Wildwood Kitchen as I used to come here as a child, had the best experience! Staff were very lovely and helpful especially the gentleman! Food was delicious and the cookies and cream cheesecake was absolutely amazing, would recommend 😋

Good food, great service and kids ate for £1 each which was a nice surprise when the bill came. There was a queue at Bill’s opposite, but Wildwood was quiet, not sure why, good selection of food and wine nice location and we all enjoyed the food greatly. Staff could not have been more helpful. My first time visiting this chain and I was impressed.

A group of 5 of us went here for lunch today. The food was absolutely delicious and extremely good value for money. The service was excellent and we will definitely be back again next week.

I loved the decor and atmosphere. I saw a few people eating alone whilst reading a book so if you’re feeling for a self care day this is the perfect place. The food…I can’t fault the food, however I thought it was overpriced for the portion size and just the fact that it was a regular burger. The best part was probably the sticky toffee pudding though. The staff were attentive and there was no rush for us to leave despite the restaurant being so central.

Amazing place for a lunch or dinner with family and also for a some special occasion. Food is always hot and tasty. We also had special event on Sunday and whole staff was amazing and helpful. I really recommend that place. Definitely will back again and again.

Came across this fab eatery a month or so ago. I would highly recommend this restaurant... food and staff are amazing...have been 3 times since discovering this gem.. I am a vegetarian and was impressed with the menu choices.

I've been there with my mom and my 2 little ones a few times, the food is delicious, but my review today will be about how impressed I am with the service received from Mia. ! What a lovely, sweet, polite young lady. Wildwood you have a real Gem right there! Thank you for the lovely service!

Every time I have visited, the food here is fantastic alongside the fantastic service. The waitresses are so sweet and they made sure my family and I were comfortable with everything. I had the vegan lasagne despite the fact I’m not actually vegan! It was beautiful, the coconut milk beschamel sounded like it wouldn’t work so I was scared but it ended up tasting SO SO good. Thank you very much, I will definitely continue coming back!

Came in this evening alone and the (I'm guessing) manager was lovely, asked for recommendations between pasta and risotto and she helped guide me to the prawn and chorizo, said she had hers without chilli. I went with that and she was absolutely right. It was lovely and the chorizo provided enough smokey heat without any chilli. The risotto was light and flavourful but my fav was the garlic butter prawns as a starter. The bread with them was fresh and tasty, and overall could not fault the dish. The atmosphere was relaxed and the servers were friendly and attentive but the food was the star of the show.
