Papa John's in Worcester

Everything about my order was disgusting. The boxes didn't have the freshness seals, my dip was squashed into the pizza (given the wrong dips as well), my side had the box open, the boxes were covered in grease on the outside with burnt cheese stuck to them, the delivery driver pulled up halfway down my street and phoned me to say he was "outside my house", and to top it all off MY PIZZA WASN'T EVEN CUT. Working in the industry myself, I have never seen service this bad. Ever. Edit: Months have passed, and I've given this Papa John's another opportunity. Sadly, I'm disappointed again. Thankfully, the food wasn't damaged this time. My order tracking moved to "on its way" almost instantly and stayed on that for at least half an hour. When it arrived, I was greeted by a young guy in no uniform, a white Addidas hoodie with his hood up, joggers on, and zero manners or customer service skills. He had no bag he'd brought my order in, just loose in his hands. Safe to say, my food was all stone cold.

Possible the worst takeaway I've eaten. From now I will be avoiding Papa Johns. The food was cold after waiting 20 minutes for my order. Not only that but I ended up with wat i can only describe as an inedible frisbee, which was supposedly meant to be garlic bread! I asked for a refund but was not given it because I didn't take the food back. Why should I take time out of my day for something which belongs in the bin. Dominoes is the way to go...

I ordered the wrong pizza and got it delivered. Luckily the staff were super helpful and made a fresh new one and delivered it at no extra cost and accepted my returned pizza.

I had pizza from papa johns worcester couple of times and they are absolutely amazing in terms of service and quality. The store manager Raman, gives top notch service which is appreciated by the locals. Highly recommended !👌👍

Honestly wouldn't give this place 1 star. Decided to give papa Johns a second chance after an awful experience. Big mistake! order took over an hour to be delivered. The pizza's tasted like cardboard and lukewarm at best. One of the items were missing so I called up the store twice and was told it would be with me within 20 minutes... and of course 20 minutes goes by and still haven't received my full order. Do NOT waste your money here. Better off going to pizza hut where the food is hot and you will actually get your full order!

Showed up at 12:30 pm - peak lunchtime and only one poor man was working by himself. My order - one pizza took twenty minutes because the management obviously don’t schedule enough staff which is not fair on the workers at all, and not treating by the workers properly is always one thing that will make me loose respect for an establishment. Since you don’t respect your workers you will never get a penny out of me again!

Ordered a single half and half pizza. It cost £27. Really…. I was expecting something really special but unfortunately it was shocking. Tried twice so far calling the manager with no response. Staff very unprofessional. My first and last time I will order from here ever again

Awful experience here on a weekday lunchtime. Turned up 15 minutes after ordering online and pizzas weren't in the oven yet. Then one pizza got burnt and had to be remade whilst the other sat under the lights for 20 minutes. Not burning a pizza should be pretty simple considering this is a pizza place. Staff members were too busy on their phones and I didn't see any hand washing. Complained to head office to no effect.

Had ordered pizza, got delivery after 1 hour, though I live in city centre and the pizzas were cold and crumbled. Staff don't know how to respond to customers’ query. I ordered in store Jalapeño and Cheese Bites and I got Cheesy Jalapeño Bites. After bringing the issue to the store, I have got these words “once we sell anything from here, we cant take it back, you have to check whats in the box before leaving the store” I was so surprised by this that I couldn’t argue and thought to share my experience here. A big request to the owner - pls train the staff properly. It might affect your business a lot as you have already lost one regular customer and Domino’s is just five minutes walk from your store (and has excellent service too).

After almost two years break of ordering from papa johns because of bad experience I’ve decide it to give it another chance. This was a biggest mistake!!! Pizza came in after 90minutes and it was cold. No point to make any complaint to the shop as they simple don’t care!!! I’m moving again to other pizza shops!!

Papa johns the bull ring worcester - very nice and friendly staff, collecting pizza is always ready on time and fast. Excellent pizzas with a wide variety of choices/toppings with a nice dough base, all very tasty at this store. Papa johns has the best pizzas, best offers and the best options for vegetarians.

Ordered 2 Pizza one arrived in a terrible state all crushed up into one corner of the box and the other wasn't sliced up. Both almost cold too. Back to dominoes from now on.

Down here visiting family for a few days and thought Id order pizzas... This is by far the worst Papa Johns Ive ever come across. Was instantly met with an extremely unprofessional, rude man who didn't want anything to do with me. offered no assistance and gave me an attitude when I told him I missed what he said ( has an internal accent and was probably by the sounds of it drunk ) Worcester must have more jobs then then they can fill because im surprised this man is employed. Such a basic role that anyone could do and this is how hes moving, bad look on them for even hiring someone so incompetent.

I’m confused as to how you can just scream (literally shout down the phone) at someone that your food is on its way in 5mins for it not to turn up for another 55mins, after already waiting 1hr… without asking for the order number, name, address, it was a different phone number from the one I entered…. So can’t be that it automatically comes up. Shocking service will never use again.

Well, apparently, I received my order 🙃 🤷🏻‍♂️ interestingly though, I do not have any order at all. Well done, Papa John's. 👏 so a £30+ order placed, accepted, and paid for, and I'll just not have anything in return 🤔 I would not recommend, unless you like the experience of ordering food in return for money and receive absolutely nothing. First time experiencing this in Worcester from the many delivery companies I've ordered from. (Only given 1 star as unable to give 0)

Ordered pizzas for 7pm delivery for a family gathering. Ordered via the app and the latest update at 18:56 said that the pizzas were ready for delivery. Come 19:20 there was no sign of the pizzas and no change of status on the app. So i called the store and spoke to a very unhelpful man who used every excuse in the book, including: - driver stuck in traffic (at 7pm on a Saturday night) - system has taken too many orders Basically told us to be patient. I asked to speak to the manager, only to be told that the person i was speaking to was actually the manager. Explains a lot really. At this point they hung up the phone. Another 20 mins (pizzas 45 mins late by now) past and still no pizzas. We called again and my wife called the store this time and spoke to the same person. This time they said that they would track the driver to see where he was and he knew that our order was on the way. At this point he hadn't asked my wife for her name, address,order number etc so couldn't have known what order he was talking about. He had no answer when this was put to him and was clearly just trying to pacify us. When asked about a refund, he said that refunds are not part of their policy, which im pretty sure is against the law. Around 15 minutes after the second call the pizzas did arrive. To our surprise they were fairly hot and tasty, therefore had clearly not been out for delivery for as long as stated by the app and the manager. They must have just been running behind with orders...if they had just explained this we would have been much more understanding. A little honesty goes a long way. This is our second order since the branch reopenes under a new franchisee, but unfortunately our second problem. First order a month ago was cold upon delivery. I shall be contacting Papa Johns head office to provide my feedback as unfortunatly complaining to the branch manager will fall on deaf ears.

The taste of the pizza is amazing and specially the customer service by the manager Gurpreet singh dealing with each and every quesries in the store. All the ingredients are fresh and delivered to our house on time….must recommended 👍

The place has improved since reopening and I've yet to be disappointed by the customer service or my orders. Great place to get an affordable and tasty pizza for collection if you live in St Johns. Still my favourite pizza place out of all the big chains in Worcester!

If you like COLD pizza, then PJ's Worcester is the place for you. Ordered a pizza, took AGES to arrive and it was cold. Phoned. PJs said they'd do another. Waited over half and hour. Pizza arrived COLD. Just don't bother.

Absolutely awesome pizzas. I was apprehensive after seeing some bad reviews, but the crust was crispy, the pizza was well cooked with ample toppings and the BBQ base was awesome! Also very easy to swap toppings and base at no extra cost! Will definitely purchase again!

I used to order regularly via there app for collection and delivery. I have not moved and suddenly I was outside of there delivery area and when trying to order for collection had notifications that collection was unavailable.

We recently tried papa johns after always going for Dominoes and we were really impressed! The pizzas were lovely and hot. I would say delivery time is a bit hit and miss as we have waited up to an hour and we aren't that far away We will stick with them and hope this improves.

Had the worst customer experience ever at this branch, we order before and expect a wait as the delivery is hit and miss but despite that the pizza is usually good. On this occasion when our pizza hadnt arrived after over an hour (and being fobbed off telling us it was 5 minutes away on 2 occasions) we were told it had been delivered. It had not, and we were told to "ask head office for a refund and you'll get it in 3-5 days" after accusing us of taking the pizzas. Fortunately the driver walked in so we could hear the conversation and he also told us he had delivered the pizza, I asked what the house looked like and it was obvious he had delivered to a different house on a different estate and admitted it. The manager didn't say sorry and just said to get in touch with head office, we obviously weren't happy with that and were clearly hungry and expecting a pizza so we drove to store to get our order that we had paid for and was promised our order free, again to make up for it. We then go to take advantage of the free order and were told we cant have it because we complained and got a refund. We didn't, as we weren't offered a refund by anyone, Head office had decided to issue a free pizza voucher but our order total was above £50+ and more than "1 free pizza" and we're offered our total order again in store. We didn't get an apology, head office reluctantly (eventually) gave us a refund and the whole thing was handled poorly from start to finish. The manners were poor let alone the customer service, so we've decided we wont be ordering from here again.

Delivery took an hour. Pizza was lukewarm, garlic bread dry and tasteless, potato tots were grim as was the sauce. So many better alternatives in Worcester.

Made an order online, order was confirmed and payment was taken, I received a call to say my order was cancelled as they had no drivers for delivery.. on a Saturday night!! This is the second time this has happened from this branch, won’t be using them again, SORT IT OUT Papa Johns, what a joke!!!!!

Literally the worst takeaway I've had in years. Food was not only cold, but freezing as it had been in a bag with the drinks. Spent 30 quid for 3 sides, didn't get the right number of wings, they were chewy and undercooked- went in the bin. The jalapeno poppers were wet for some reason (?!) And the chicken bites were weirdly stringy. Honestly don't go here, had it not been at night I would have called and asked if this was a joke. How can you mess up putting stuff in the oven? Ask papa John's in worcester.

Regularly buy pizza from this store, yes, sometimes they don’t get the delivery times correct, however they always communicate and go above and beyond to rectify their mistake. Tania and store manager have been great at making sure we were satisfied with our late delivery. Great pizza and now very good service!

Shocking place order for collection at 7 still had to wait 10 minutes told them my name 3 times and still gave me the wrong order. Even the delivery guy said to a customer I wouldn't eat here and I can see why its only 3 stars.

Waited 2 hours for delivery, rang once after waiting an hour and was told that it will be delivered in 30 minutes - it wasn’t. So I rang again after another hour and asked why they accepted my order 2 hours ago if they were going to take so long and was told “I’ll just cancel your order what do you want me to do.”. I said no, as we had already waited 2 hours. Food finally arrived 2 hours and 10 minutes later, soggy and barely lukewarm, they forgot the sauces that we paid extra for and our drinks. Will not be ordering again and the man I spoke to on the phone needs to learn some manners and go through training again. Delivery driver was polite though.

My pizza arrived barely warm and got cold very quickly once I opened the box to eat it, there was almost no cheese on about a third of the pizza ( the photo below is how it looked on arrival ) . I live between two places, both have a Papa John's nearby but this store has gone down so much in quality of the food in the last few months that I'm considering not ordering from here again. I know its not every store so will continue to order from my other one when near there but this is really disappointing after being a regular for nearly 2 years now.

We had a xxl pizza, chicken bites and cauliflower bites. OK pizza was quite tasty but soft bottom. Not over generous on toppings and ok quality. Chicken bites only 7 so not worth the money at all. As for the cauliflower, these had clearly gone off as when you bit in, awful stench. We all tried one and spat out. Really let papa John's down. Food was ready on time and hot. Polite and welcoming staff. Would only return if given voucher...

Order came 45 minutes late and when it arrived it was cold. They did ring ahead and say there was a delay but I presumed it would come at least warm.

Terrible service tried to put an order in at 22:25 as it says it's open till 11 the tells us that it's closed and not taking orders even tho it's say closes at 11

This takeaway closes at 11pm. I went to go place my order at 10:30pm, it says its closed. Might as well close at 10:30 if you aren't going to take orders after that time.

We ordered a family meal back in October and it arrived after 2 hours and several phone calls to ask where it is as the app showed it had been delivered. When it arrived it was stone cold and totally inedible. I called up immediately and was told I could have a replacment or a credit. I opted for a credit as didnt want to wait 2 hours further. I was told not a problem and they would eecord my details on the systen. Having called up to redeem this evening I was told no details were stored and that the new mananger Ben wasnt responsible for any of the dealings before as he's only been there for 30 days. Total ripped off and the smugness of Ben was incredible. Avoid like the plague.

Delivered two pizzas stone cold with half the toppings on. Ordered hot peri chicken sides and regular ones came. Ordered a large sauce and didn’t come. Phoned up to complain and lady said we can get 50% off next order. Just called for our discount and the manager named Ben calling me ‘mate’ said that he can’t offer 50% now as it can’t be done on the system. Absolutely disgusting. Go to Dominoes or Pizza Hut. Better than dealing with these liars.

First time using pappa John's Couldn't fault them, very friendly, quick service, pizza tastes a lot better than other brands. Will definitely order from here again.

They offer you a trial days work and your hours worked and delivery’s go onto the managers payroll who is in store at that time you get no petrol no pay and you don’t get any work pure con merchants

So after three incorrect deliveries and several phone calls my “large” Hawaiian pizza finally arrived (cold of course). The very clever store staff had given me a small Hawaiian pizza in a large box, and charged me for a large. Great one team, well done! Do not order from here unless you want to wait hours for your cold, incorrect food.

My partner and I enjoy the vegan pizza range from Papa John's. When they get the order correct, the pizza is great price and great taste. The issue is they don't half the time. After complaining due to incorrect toppings being put on our pizzas, i was told i'd get a refund in 3-5 days. 2 weeks later and no refund has been given. If they had told me the topping i wanted was unavailable then fine, but instead they left my pizza plain. Very risky ordering from this Papa Johns - potentially good pizza, but not always what you actually order.

The food is ok, but the service is terrible. When the tracking feature had said our order had been delivered 15 minutes ago, I called the shop to make sure the driver wasnt lost. The man I spoke to was completely unphased and extremely rude to me, not offering any apology and speaking over me to ask for my order number before I'd even finished asking the question. I used to work here and clearly it's the same rubbish management it has always been... If you want an overpriced pizza, at least Domino's are polite.

Ordered my pizza and starter at 21:41, turned up at 22:50. Ordered a half and half but one quarter of the pizza was empty ?! & both were barely warm let alone hot. Really dissatisfied and disappointed but to be honest at this hour I really can’t be bothered to ring the store and go through it all. With plenty of local competition now I guess I’ll just try somewhere else next time.

I got turned down by hereford papa johns and I phoned up by the off chance that they were open in Worcester as I drove all the way from hereford to Worcester to cook me up a good order as it was late ish they said yes and there food was amazing loved everything that we ordered. I would recommend it to anyone

Thank you Jack for excellent customer service. You helped me chose the most cost effective rage of pizza’s, but we were all able to eat our preferred toppings. The pizzas were full of yummy toppings, I didn’t feel as though they had skimped on the toppings. We will definitely be back again 😊
