Dan was our waiter and he was absolutely lovely, made sure we had everything we need and was so polite. Really made our experience enjoyable! Food was lovely and again Dan making sure everything was ok.

Went sat 16th Nov 24 Bar Staff were very polite Waitress was excellent I had steak (medium ) was cooked to perfection my starter was equally as good Lol make sure you have ID though if your lucky enough to look 25 your not getting served to drink

Came for my birthday yesterday and had the best time food was amazing the staff were lovely especially james and jasmine they made the experience 10/10 would highly recommend!

Been to Hickory's before and it's been good - this time was better - great baby back ribs but especially my beef rib - super tender, delicious and well smoked - helped along by a great selection of non-alcoholic beers as well as a nostalgia-inducing root beer float and great service!

went for my dad’s birthday and the staff were lovely and welcoming. the food was delicious and well worth the money!! the atmosphere was pleasant!! also, the staff sang happy birthday to my dad and gave him a free dessert which was really kind! thank you!!

Absolute joy from start to finish. Promptly seated on arrival. Really pleasant vibe and buzz. Katie, our lovely server, introduced herself and was very helpful and knowledgeable when asked about dishes on the menu. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Between the four of us we had the tacos and the chicken wings for starters followed by full racks of ribs and half chickens with bbq sauce. All perfectly presented, cooked and sufficiently sized. Drinks wise, cocktails were amazing and a good variety of beers on draught. Reason we visited was to pay homage to our friends recent return from a road trip in America. They both said that the food they’d had at Hickory’s was by far superior to any that they’d had whilst on their travels! Praise indeed 😊!

When you order the half a pound of Texas style brisket almost £21.00. make sure they weight in in front of you as It doesn't look like a half a pound, as I receive just 2 slices and bit.

Excellent BBQ, but pricey. Book in advance! The food here is excellent, the staff are friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is on point. They even have a cinema to entertain bored kids. The review would have been 5 stars had it not been for the cost of items being on the higher end.

We went on a Thursday for dinner, and despite arriving quite early, we were surprised to find the restaurant quite full! We were able to get a seat in the bar section but would recommend to reserve if you'd like to go and ensure a table. The place is very well styled, with American references in every corner, making the ambiance appropriate for the theme of the restaurant. The atmosphere was also surprisingly cozy. We found it absolutely adorable that they even have a small cinema for kids! The food was quite good and it came out very quickly. Some of it was a bit lukewarm and dry, clearly it was already cooked on the grill a while ago, but overall it was quite good. We got the Thursday special (BBQ Blowout) and two appetizers (cheeseburger tater tots and the Nashville chicken). All of it was quite good and plenty of food for 2 people. We would recommend the BBQ blowout of Thursdays because of the variety of food it included and the sheer size of the portion, its a good bang for your buck.

Bit expensive for the food that we had nothing special Bit to much of a franchise

Booked for a celebration meal. We wanted a feast and we definitely got one! We ordered the sharing platter between us which could have fed about 6 people - we ended up taking boxes of it home for leftovers. Brilliant service and a huge menu even for gluten free diners. Would definitely recommend especially for large groups and celebrations. If you go, make sure you order the frickles.

I was pleasantly surprised by the food and service in this place. Staff were welcoming and friendly and the food was delicious. My son and I ordered a sharing platter which was more than enough food for two...we even took some home.

We visited Hickory’s on Sunday and were really impressed with the overall experience. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the staff are attentive and welcoming. As soon as you’re seated, they bring out sweet and salty popcorn along with water, which is a nice touch. We ordered a half rack of ribs with maple syrup, and my son went for the beef on the bone. His meal was absolutely delicious—tender, soft, and full of flavour. Unfortunately, my ribs were a bit on the dry side, which I mentioned to the waitress. The manager was fantastic and kindly offered me a free beer as a goodwill gesture. We’ve been to Hickory’s before, and it’s always been amazing. We will definitely be back! The outdoor area is also a great feature. Overall, we love Hickory’s despite the minor issue with the food.

Food was as expected - expensive for what it is but you pay for the experience. Took a long time for our order to be taken, was sat right in the middle of all the family tables and near the cinema so didn't appreciate the screaming much. Server took 6 times to take payment.

Really good BBQ food and good portions too. All came out very full with no room left for anymore! Kids loved the food and their slushies were very nice and the alcoholic cocktail was very good. Service was excellent and the staff were very helpful. Cannot think of anything bad to say. Will return for another round with the meat platter that defeated me!

Cracking food and a great atmosphere can't fault the place

Absolutely love Hickory’s, my favourite place to watch American football on a Sunday! Food is amazing, the staff are incredible and the drinks are always plentiful! As far a Bartenders go, Sam is one in a million! He is an absolute legend and he really makes football Sundays awesome! We come here every week because of all of the above reasons! Thanks to Sam and all the team for being consistently absolutely amazing!!

This was my 1st visit to this establishment and it was very nice indeed. I had Steak and chips which was really nice and tasty. For desert it was a waffle lemon meringue this was also very tasty. The prices seem a bit on the expensive side. Having said that it was good food and it was an occasion meal to celebrate a birthday. Highly recommended

However, I had to get up and find someone to chase the coffee. I called through an open window. A woman who appeared in charge ignored me. When I raised my voice a little louder Dan responded. Next thing I know the windows were all being closed??!! Maybe who ever actioned this (manager?) might consider the impact of this obvious action. Not very friendly.

Saturday lunchtime 14 September. Took son and grandchildren our first experience of Hickory’s as none in Cornwall ! We had the Half chicken with salad , Meat platter and kids menu . Have to say our chicken was very dry , slaw was basic no taste and fries are fries . Disappointed with chicken must of been cooked earlier dried out before service . Meat platter ribs over cooked burnt around edges again dry ! Root beer great but served in a jam jar , took ice out ( ridiculous amount) and it was half a jam jar ! Not impressed with food at all. Service was excellent so much so we apologised to waitress when we mentioned it to her as wasn’t her fault. ! Sorry but won’t be returning when we visit family again in worcs. Overly priced poorly cooked food. ! Just our experience !

Love American food, then this is the place to go. Went with small children and two dogs the garden sheds are a great place to eat.

Absolutely incredible place. We had reserved a table, but found it a little to loud inside - the waiting staff were more than happy to move us to an outdoors table. The prices were more than fair, the food incredible and the cocktails extremely moreish. Staff were friendly with a cracking sence of humour - we will definitely be returning.

Nice food but very pricey and not much choice for children. Tip is automatically added to the bill, which you can ask to be removed if you don't mind feeling awkward

My first visit to Hickory’s was an absolute delight! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, and our server Camile made the evening even more special. She was incredibly kind, professional, and patient, answering all our questions with impressive knowledge of the menu. The food was beyond amazing! We tried the salmon, which was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. We also shared the Plate for 2, which was enormous, but every bite was absolutely delicious. The meats were cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, and the cornbread was a standout—warm, soft, and simply divine. I can’t recommend this place enough! Hickory’s is a must-visit for anyone who loves fantastic food and exceptional service.

We love coming to Hickory’s. We travel from Cheltenham despite there being one that has recently opened in Gloucester. The food is always fantastic and the staff are friendly. Big thank you to our server Morgan who made our trip!

We came for lunch to celebrate mine and my fiance's engagement. Service was excellent, friendly and polite staff. Food came at good time no waiting around atall and food was amazing. Loved every bit of it. Loved this place and we will defintley come back again.

Second of this chain we have visited and it didn't disappoint in the slightest... food was great, ales and drinks for kids were a highlight, barman put a really cool spin on lemonade for the kids...

The food and the atmosphere/ ambience is great. Unfortunately, many dishes on the menu have had a 30% price increase. £21 for a burger or chicken, and bacon salad is too much.

Came in today for a birthday lunch and from the moment we walked in to the moment we left we received amazing service. Our son got upset after an incident with another child on the play area and as the team member who served us could see some distress she came to check if everything was okay and offered our son a treat to cheer him up. The team also brought out a birthday treat board, which really did put a smile on my face. The whole team that was working today are a credit to you and thankyou so much for making my birthday lunch that little bit more special 😊 ps food was also AMAZING!!!

A nice gimmicky American styled food restaurant -mine a half barbecued chicken was served on a wooded platter(which I teased the waitress is that part of the kitchens floor board,,) chips in a tin tea mug and salad in a small card package but was very good served by very friendly staff there's even a free cinema food the kids-- the food can seem slightly pricey but I found it a very clean place-- credit to the staff there is a small service charge so I hope the staff get that and not the company - yes a nice place to visit close by the river with ample parking with the overspill and it can get bizy-- would I visit it again ??-yes

Have been years ago for dinner but this time we went just after 10am for a lake breakfast. We were a walk-in looking for a table with 3 adults, they seated us quickly and also ensured that the tables were moved so we had enough room to put the pram for our newborn. We ordered the pancakes which I was initially concerned would not be enough food, I was sorely mistaken. The pancakes are very thick and the portion sizes are large for the price, I got the strawberry, hazelnut and froyo pancakes which on reflection may have been a bit too sweet for that time in the morning but we're still excellent. Service was good and all our items turned up quickly. Baby change was clean and easy to find, also is assemble to both parents, is missing somewhere to put the changing bag though. This was feedback to our server as a suggestion and she said it would be mentioned. We noted was that they serve a pot of tea but we could not actually find this anywhere on the menu and had to ask if they served it.

Nice service until one of the staff members spilt a drink which subsequently smashed into one of our bags. Unapologetic and no compensation for the smashed glass.

We loved this restaurant so much we came back the following week. The atmosphere is in-keeping with the theme. Portion sizes are very generous and they provide leftover boxes so nothing is wasted. The kids have the choice of a cinema or playground. Loved the outdoor pods when we came for lunch.

Been in for a couple of meals, watching the NFL, games and catching up with friends. Always a pleasant visit and staff members are all super helpful and very friendly.

The food is ok, lacks impact probably a little under seasoned… there wasn’t anything really wrong with the food and the service was really friendly and the staff were helpful but it is what it is great for family evening out but you don’t really Go there for good food.

Took my daughter here for her 14th Birthday 🎂 staff are polite friendly and very efficient our food was well presented and piping hot the staff even gave my daughter a cake and sang happy birthday to her,all in all a brilliant couple of hours at Hickory's.

I ate here as a single diner at the chef's bar. What an experience! The staff were awesome and couldn't do enough. I had the pleasure of chatting to Adam a chef whilst he cooked and cut the BBQ meat. He was polite, welcoming and friendly. Adam is a credit to the restaurant! I was also served by a member of the new Gloucester branch, who was equally as friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely on point and the atmosphere was relaxed but buzzing. If you are a meat lover and enjoy proper American BBQ then I would highly recommend a visit.

Really great food, decent atmosphere and the staff were all great. We had the Smokehouse Platter and really enjoyed it, the beef ribs were particularly nice as was the cornbread.

Regular food stop pre cricket and always very good. Made better as weather allowed a meal outside.

First time eating here. The food was amazing. Quick, friendly service. The food was hot. I had mac & cheese my partner had big pig slider both dishes were so tasty. Price was very reasonable for the food, although we thought the cocktails were very overpriced. Shame we don't live in Worcester as would definitely be a go to restaurant. Highly recommend.

Flavorful food and delicious drinks

Been here twice. Big fan of American BBQ-style food, so was quite excited beforehand. Disappointed with the quality of the food, but on reflection, how can a chain like this recreate high quality food that requires such expertise on a reliable basis? Went again recently for brunch for a friend's birthday. Food was OK-ish, but I wouldn't go back unless it's something somebody else has organised.

Just the most fabulous time.Impromptu lunch. Claire was amazing and gave us a special “birthday” pudding! Then the heavenly Lou brought out TWO complimentary cocktails, both of which were amazing. Cannot recommend highly enough. Will def be back. Thank you all so much xxx

We’ve been to Hickory’s many times as we live locally and it’s good value but unfortunately standards have definitely slipped. The first time we went not long after it had opened my heart sank when I saw how busy it was but the waiting staff were brilliant and we had a really great time. On this occasion my husband and I went for dinner with our teenage children and their grandad to celebrate the end of exams. When we arrived no one acknowledged us and we stood waiting at the desk while no fewer than 7 members of staff saw us and looked away. This happened before when eventually someone came over from the bar to acknowledge us and I put it down to the restaurant being exceptionally busy at Christmas time but clearly it’s becoming standard. I don’t know what the ‘Welcome’ policy is but clearly it’s not working. Leaving customers to wait in the doorway while staff ignore them is not a good look. We were seated next to a very loud table of men which meant we couldn’t have a conversation. Tables around us were served but our menus, drinks and food all took a long time. Disappointing service which is a shame as it used to be very good.

Visited here with my sister for dinner and was pleasantly surprised at how amazing it was vs another location. The service was fantastic, the food was great and I’d highly recommend a visit. I went for the ribs and the cookie dessert.

Stunning food milkshakes a defo MUST

Heard good things about this place from people who are supposed smokehouse enthusiasts. The lad behind the bar who showed us to our table was warming and friendly, this was soon let down by a miserable girl who catered for our table. No manners or smiles. The food was substandard. Clearly chain food, had the feel and taste of food that’s been cooked in a factory and warmed in a bag in the outlet’s kitchen. Very overpriced for the portion size and the quality. None of us want to go back.

Service was appalling. We dined on Friday (28th June) at 7:30 ish. We understood it was a Friday evening, so it would be busy. However the service was terrible. We finished our drinks and placed them at the end of the table, expecting a waiter to take them away as there was 5-6 empty glasses. But no, they dropped out starter plates off and no plates were taken, never asked if we wanted anymore drinks or sauces. They then dropped our mains off, never took the starter plates or empty glasses despite them taking up half of the table. The food was OK, the brisket looked like it had been left out under the heat lamps, burger was a bit dry. To top it off, a waitress dropped a sauce cup next to me, which went all over my clothes. She did apologise and i understood it was a mistake, yet i was not offered any napkins or anything to get the sauce out of my clothes. I don’t think we’ll be rushing back. I’ve also added a photo so you can see how much clutter was left on the table which was never taken. Although it was busy, i’d expect the standards should still remain high.

Yet again another fantastic family meal at Hickory's. Enough excellent food to sink a ship. Lots of friendly, knowledgeable waiting staff. We come here regularly and have never had a bad experience. 10/10 every time, thank you Hickory's!

Headless chickens 🐔 working at this place, no organisation. Had to speak to 3 staff before being sat, then order messed up. Atmosphere was poor, never felt welcomed or relaxed. Food was good

Food was good, atmosphere was good, the only issue I had was that the tip is automatically added to the bill. After a few drinks we all missed this addition which equated to around £15! We had spent around £200 on a celebratory night and also tipped cash separately. Only realised when looking at the receipt the day after. I don't mind tipping as the service was good but I don't like not having a choice about it.

Food has never disappointed. Great place for families all year round with the indoor mini cinema and outdoor play area.

Seated quickly to our table and food served in a reasonable time but it stopped there....weren't asked if our meal was OK,weren't asked if we wanted more drinks and after over an hour of waiting when we had finished our meal I had to go and get someone to bring us the bill,we were going to stay for a dessert but had waited so long we didn't bother ...disappointed by the lack of service and seamed to be plenty of staff don't think i will rush back

The little huts outside are a great idea, staff were really friendly too. The beef brisket was really nice but the grape soda was amazing. Will definitely be going again.
