The best restaurants serving American food in South West

Lovely breakfast. We visited around midday on Tuesday and it was very quiet. We were given the option £9.95 unlimited food (still including access to water) or £13.95 for unlimited food and drinks. Everything was explained thoroughly, great food and waffles made on request were also brilliant. Amelia served us, while also dealing with a complaint which looked quite heated. Nothing was too much trouble, she was great. My partner and I were very impressed with her professionalism during this frustrating encounter with these awkward diners. She handled this situation very well and while doing so, still managed to seat 12 more people. We will definitely be back :)

Came here for a birthday meal and oh my it did not disappoint! My partner and I shared the BBQ tower and it came with WAY more food than we expected- the burgers were far from mini but you did not catch me complaining! They were the BEST burgers I’ve ever had. The fries were well seasoned and the onion rings were juicy and fresh but the meat was nothing but quality. The ribs just fell off the bone. We were in heaven. The service was lovely, our waitress was lush and the chef was super happy and lovely too- you could see everything being cooked which was a lovely touch- the smell of it cooking also got you in the right frame of mind to tackle said beast. We also loved the playlist- it felt somewhat encouraging as we slipped into our food coma. I only knocked one star for atmosphere because we couldn’t understand how it was so quiet?! The quality of food we thought it would be heaving!! We will be back and thank you!!

An exceptional evening with friends that had flown in from Florida that day, the food was cooked to perfection, I had the Miso Cod which was fantastic, the service was impeccable, such a relaxing and enjoyable evening.

Wow! Este lugar fue recomendado por un amigo, así que fuimos después del teatro una noche. La hamburguesa de pollo fue la mejor (no es broma) que hemos tenido en cualquier lugar. Era tan fresco y lleno de sabores. No se sentó en un banco afuera a comer durante años, sino que tuvo que parar y sumergirse en este. Recomendaría encarecidamente pasar por si estás cerca.

Visited Mr Cooks 2 evenings running and dinner was fantastic on both occasions. Tasty, freshly cooked and good portion sizes . Particularly enjoyed salmon and see bass meals , curry was also delicious. All in all great experience, good service and pretty good value for money . Restaurant is also dog friendly

Visited with our family on the 9th May for breakfast as we were in the area. Lovely waitress, very attentive and just really polite. Food was amazing - we were all equally shocked by the quality and how quick it was. Thank you!

used the fish shop twice during my stay in my stay. some staff looked happy but some staff look unhappy chips and sausage where ok

We have been to this lovely place a few times now and love the quality and quantity of their food, all dished up with great service. This time we stopped off for breakfast and then headed to the haynes motor museum and when we finished there, we made our way back down again for our lunch/dinner at this wonderfull place. WE LOOK FOREWARD TO OUR NEXT VISIT. KEEP UP THE HARD GREAT WORK.

I popped in for a freshly made cheese and pickle sandwich. In hindsight: I realise I was overcharged: £5 for two slices of white bread ( not very fresh) from a cut loaf packet of bread, average taste of the grated cheddar which was not particularly generous in filling and some Branston pickle added as filling. I should have tried one of their pasties that looked OK but pricier than say Greggs the bakers by far. Not good value at all. I won't revisit. At least the counter staff were friendly!

Just popped in for a couple of pints following a walk. Nice and clean inside and a an extensive choice of beer and wine. Opted for neck oil (lager) and night jar (stout). Opted for the beef brisket, with slaw salad, tomato salad a really tasty chimichurri dressing and grilled flat bread. Honestly have to say it was utterly tasty. The brisket fell apart and all the flavours just worked.

Awful from start to finish. The staff were clueless and the food and drinks were mediocre at a push. Loaded fries were more like semi dusted with topping and straight out of the freezer. The buttermilk chicken burger was more like a mini chicken fillet. When we complained we were met with a staff member who obviously wasn’t trained to deal with complaints as her response was ‘you keep complaining’! I would not recommend this restaurant and I find it strange how they claim to have hundreds of happy customers but only a handful of reviews on TA. Work out what you are. Are you a cocktail bar or a restaurant? May I also suggest that if you are the owner you maybe spend a bit more time working at your own restaurant and also train your staff.

Great facility, exceptional staff, clean showers and well stocked shop and pub. Good location for beaches, Cheddar gorge and Wookie hole.

Ordered cheesy chips but got plain chips but still charged for cheesy chips
