Mr. Cook in Torbay

Popped In for a meal and had a mixed grill that was very tasty. The restaurant could have been a bit warmer but enjoyed food.

We booked at this restaurant basically because we couldn’t get into anywhere else on Mothers Day so were a bit worried as to why they weren’t busy. Have no idea why they weren’t busy. This place is a hidden gem. Quite quirky but great. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food was lovely. Have a great garden for the summer and we will definitely go back there. Please don’t be put off if it’s quiet it’s still worth a visit.

I have found over the years that beyond the main thoroughfare often hides little gems and this is one. It wasn't busy but the music and decoration entertains whilst the food is uncomplicatedly delicious.

Pizza base definitely not freshly made!!! Shop bought!! Steak fatty and when complained the waiter didn’t want to know! No one else in the restaurant at Sunday lunch therefore no atmosphere. High chair filthy and toilets out of order, won’t be returning!

Had the ribeye steak. Absolutely cooked to perfection. Can not fault none of the food., beautiful.. Great service. Atmosphere and theme brilliant.. will definitely be visiting again..

We arrived here on the off chance after seeing it when driving to our b&b. Lovely food and lovely staff. 2 burgers and a banana split pudding and drinks was a reasonable £40. Worth a visit.

We were ready for a late dinner and stumbled upon this restaurant and absolutely loved it. The food was great and the staff wonderful. We were enthralled by the great memorabilia and decorations. It was dark so we ate inside, but the patio seating looks like it would be great to hang out there too. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Restaurant located oboist a mile outside of the town centre. Food is really good with a mix of pizza, burgers, curry’s and a few Greek dishes. Service was excellent and the pricing is reasonable. I have to say it’s a real oddity of a place. A mix of 50s Americana in a Victorian(?) building and a 60s 70’s decor. Garden looked good for eating or drinking outside although it was raining when we went so didn’t utilise. Overall good food and great service.

We stumbled upon Mr Cooks on the night of our wedding anniversary , and we were so glad that we did , a warm friendly welcome , a lovely venue with lots of film and movie memorabilia that would be of interest to all age groups. Betty was very attentive to us and the food was of the highest quality, extremely tasty and cooked to perfection. Even our 10 year old said he would give a 5 star rating . Will definately return here on our next holiday in Torquay !! A definate 5 stars from all of us , thank you Mr Cooks and all your lovely staff for a memorable meal to celebate our wedding anniversary with ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant during our visit from Turkey to England. The menu was diverse and the outdoor ambiance was delightful. We went as a family and found the prices to be reasonable. The cocktail selection, in particular, was impressive. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to others!

We had a fantastic dining experience at Mr. Cook! Lovely ambiance and a delightful outdoor area. The food was cooked to perfection and incredibly tasty! My wife tried the Lamb Shish, and it exceeded our expectations! The meat was flavorful, tender, and juicy. I opted for the Captain's Seafood Platter and enjoyed every bite of the fish. The portions were generous, perhaps a bit too much; we didn't need all those fries :-)) Overall, it was a wonderful experience! We would definitely come back if we lived nearby!

Fabulous find this little pub/restaurant with quaint garden. Chose to sit with Elvis with view of Madonna. Loved the themed patios. The food was absolutely delicious, could have eaten it all again. Lovely staff too. Highly recommend.
