The best restaurants serving American food in East of England

I've came here on holiday and tried yummies for the first time honestly the best food I have eaten in a long time the food came no later 45 mins as said on the phone as I ordered at 6:30pm. It came piping hot and was so tasty and delicious will be going back there tomorrow for seconds. I will recommend this place to everyone

Portion sizes are a bit on the small size for the price point but otherwise great. The staff are really friendly!

I have recently been in Cambridge for my friends Hen do, which I organised. We were due to be visiting The Snug Grafton on Sunday 1st August for a cocktail master class which was the last activity before we travelled home on Monday. I booked this event in early June, and have had ongoing communication with the bar and also paid a deposit. On the Sunday morning we were all gearing up and getting excited about our Sunday evening of cocktail making. Little did we know, this wasn't going to happen. At 12.30pm on Sunday 1st August ( THE DAY DUE TO ATTEND THE MASTER CLASS) I received a phone from someone from the bar, saying that our master class is cancelled due to not having the trained staff to be able to carry out this event. The lady on the phone explained the bar had recently been taken over and they don't check what bookings they have until the day.. this is absolutely ridiculous. To top things off, the lady was not sympathetic and didn't understand the frustration caused. I had to break this news to 7 very excited hens, with only 6 hours until we were due to attend our class. The deposit paid I did get back today, however that doesn't resolve the issue. I find it astonishing that a company does not check what bookings they have until the day and don't pre plan events like a master class until the day. I would advise anyone who is thinking of arranging a master class at The Snug Bar, to avoid. I wouldn't want anyone to go through the same situation as myself and my hens did. I was left with the difficult job of trying to arrange another activity due to the unorganised mess the Snug Bar has caused us.

We arrived as a family of 7. (4 adults and 3 children ). We were warmly welcomed and seated and looked forward to a nice family meal. However when we asked about gluten free options the response from staff was very hazy and gave no comfort to the 2 family members with intolerance to gluten. Not sure where a menu may be offering the gluten free options. Then an iPad was produced but not sure it would work as wasn’t often 🤷‍♀️. We asked lots of important questions of what would be safe for gluten intolerant people and how things were cooked. What fryers were used for what. Answers were so vague and could have resulted in a very serious outcome if we hadn’t been so adamant of wanting to know how things were cooked. We finally agreed on gammon with jacket potatoes. These then arrived as gammon with chips (which were not safe)! Sent this meal back to the kitchen and the comment was “they didn’t see my note about intolerance”. How can a restaurant kitchen operate on such flimsy communication 🤬. Meals came back with a jacket potato in place of the chips. However this had simply been the same meal now with a potato as there was a chip stuck underneath one of the gammon steaks! Again cross contamination was likely and in a severe allergy this could be very serious. Although the staff were very apologetic this is a very worrying situation and I would highly recommend that anyone with severe allergies should avoid eating at this restaurant.

Unfriendly manager who did not want us to be there. I visited this establishment twice in a week and it was the most unfriendly pub that I have been to in a long time. You would think that someone running a pub would want there to be customers there rather than seeing them as a hindrance and getting in the way. By contrast we went to a lovely pub in the Peak District at the weekend where the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Do not work in the service industry if your customer service skills are non existent.

Friendly and Fast Service ,Clean Stores,Employees are usually patient with custom orders. You can make a nutritious sandwich with lean meats and plenty of vegetables.

good food and shakes i order honeycomb cheese cake on as an extra to meal l. the cheese cake didn't turn up but outhe than that nice food and milkshake

One portion was almost enough for two people and it was delicious. It would have been even better if there was a disposable wooden fork with the order.

The cod father chip shop Is very good food is delicious and piping hot but they use just eat to delivery service as I don't drive I order through them the first couple of times were over Christmas and after ordering I received a refund and an email saying sorry no drivers were available which I understood so tried again last night ordered for 17,30 at about 18,10 I enquired where is my order as the app said it was out for delivery and enjoy my food then got a message saying again no drivers not good

We recently had breakfast at Sunnyside. The service was friendly and efficient (Sharon) and the food was really good. Everything came to the table quickly and as ordered. The portions are ample and the coffee is delicious. We have never been disappointed at Sunnyside! Great little restaurant!

Great place, amazing staff whoare friendly, quick and prompt with there job, great atmosphere, i allways feel safe and welcome

My partner had been threatening to take me here for a long time but I was pleasantly suprised by how light and clean the restaurant was, the decor and music were superb and we were welcomed in by the manager We both chose burgers with home made chips and the lightest crispiest battered onions rings, all of which was delicious and good size portions The restaurant is up a flight of stairs, as are the lavatories so not recommended to wheelchair users or people with mobility issues I really recommend this establishment and urge you not to overlook Captain America if you are passing
