Sadly, not a great experience today. Food was just OK. Burgers although tasty were cardboardy. 2 sides never arrived (this was rectified on the bill), staff seemed a little apathetic. Although not Zaks fault, there were a lot of screaming children who made conversation impossible most of the time. Probably the last time we will go there.

We have been here a couple of times before and have never been let down. Generous indoors seating area, well-maintained and elegant. The staff is polite and friendly. We have never made a booking but have never had problems to find a table. The orange fresh juice is delicious and you can tell that it is made of oranges (not artificial). The oysters that we had as a starter were large and tasty. The grilled seabass fillets with vegetable main course was generous and also delicious. The prices are average and the food portions are medium to large. I would recommend this place for either a casual meal or a party.

Bought a few wings from here a couple days ago as a quick snack as I was starving and I ve heard many people say they do amazing wings. But sorry to say the wings were really oily and nasty! I couldn’t believe that a place on 4.3 star with 177 reviews tastes like that!! Also can’t believe people say its nice, I would even want them for free honestly speaking. Avoid!

I visited yesterday with family for bottomless brunch. We had an amazing meal and the service was faultless. Augis, our server, was excellent. He made sure our glasses were refilled really quickly and made sure we were looked after at all times. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend bottomless brunch there. It was such good value and the steak was perfectly cooked.

Visited the A&H today having travelled 20 miles. Well worth the petrol money.. What a good pub? The menu is extremely appealing making choosing very tough. We visited on specials day when the cost of all of the steaks was reduced, my Ribeye by £10. Drinks are not expensive. When we arrived the car parks were full, always a good sign. The pub was just about full with a really buzzie vibe and we were soon asked for drinks. The food was excellent and well presented although it did take a little while to arrive it’s fair to say. This didn’t bother us as it was a reunion but you have to take into consideration this was lunchtime in a very busy pub. The food was well worth the wait though.. All the staff were friendly, well trained and knew their jobs. We were more or less the last to leave but at no stage did we feel hurried or pressured to leave. The bill? £70 per couple represents good value in my book. We were told this was a chain but it didn’t have that feel. Will definitely be returning. Thanks to all at the A&H for an exceptional lunch today.. Don’t post often but felt my experience today worthy of putting online.. GC

Most of the shelves in the shop were empty - no idea why - but there's a Greg's and a coffee shop and staff are pleasant if a bit slow. Otherwise clean and the fuel is cheap.
