Brilliant breakfast for a large group. Lovely place too! We were a hen party and we all enjoyed the breakfast (much needed). Good value and quality and excellent service.

Good service. We were told the time it would take to receive our order, and it ran a bit over as they were crazy busy. They said it was then coming, they got it to us immediately and offered drinks as a compensation, which was very kind on a hot day. The food was delicious and exactly to order. The service was spot on, and the quality of the food was excellent.

The food and service terrible. Breakfast eggs hard bacon rock hard hash browns undercooked if I hadn’t waited 50 minutes for it to arrive I would have sent it back. It was literally thrown on the table no interaction from the staff that delivered it . A shame as it’s in a lovely setting. Obviously not enough staff to cope. People were walking out as the wait for food was too long. Wouldn’t return or recommend

Absolutely amazing breakfast. Their milkshakes are thick and fill of flavour. Staff are so friendly and down to earth. There is plenty of room both inside and out. Dog friendly which is great. Highly recommend their Chai Latte, it's better than Starbucks. I will certainly be coming back, may even bring the dogs. We'll Done Parlour Care.

Okay so I know Sunday mornings, especially warm and dry Sunday mornings, are going to be busy for cafes. However a 30 minute queue followed by a 40 minute wait for our food is pushing the boundaries of busy into the unmanageable category. This is a dog friendly cafe so is popular with dog owners and offers lots of outdoor seating. There is plenty of car parking space as well. The food, in my view was pushing towards the higher end of value for money. A large breakfast costing around £10 but then it’s another £2 for tea and £2.50 for a plain americano. Bit of a shame really as most cafes include a tea or coffee in the meal price. The biggest issue was the wait. The queue stretching around most of the interior of the cafe. There is only one till which doesn’t help. Perhaps a second till would help keep things moving? We were informed there was a half hour wait for food. Not ideal but…. What didn’t help, and if I’m honest was pretty poor, was that two members of staff were sat eating their meals, while customers were sat checking watches and questioning ‘do you think they’ve forgotten about us?’ Yeah, I know everyone’s entitled to a break. But perhaps it would be prudent to discourage this during peak times, and certainly not in view of customers who have paid for, and are enduring an excessive wait for their orders. While waiting, at least 10 potential customers, upon hearing about the wait for food, decided to try their luck elsewhere. As a business that is a lot of custom to walk away. The third star is for the setting. It is a nice place with a large outdoor area. I won’t say I’ll never be back, however I doubt it will be on a weekend.

We came to the cafe as we were staying at the barns for a wedding being held on Halloween, we had a late lunch when we arrived on the monday and came back for breakfast the morning of the wedding and the day after, the staff team are really lovely nothing was too much trouble at all and the food we had on each day was really good. The coffees and hot chocolate we tried were really good too. If you are out and about round this way its well worth a visit, its a great little place to eat or just for coffee with a good selection of fresh cakes to choose from. Thanks for looking after us guys, much appreciated. We will definitely be back x

We were fortunate to stay at the creeksea barns ; emergency accomodation for a fortnight, due to repairs on a water leak in our home. Mindful we were ‘shielders’ we were concerned about accessing groceries / food during lockdown away from home. What we didn’t know beforehand was of the existence of the Parlour Cafe which would be just metres away from our front door! Whilst we had our own groceries we treated ourselves every couple of days to something from the cafe. This made it really feel as if we were on holiday rather than dealing with a crisis, during a national crisis! The staff were wonderful and go the extra mile! Always cheerful when taking the order and, since we were ‘living’ on site, staff kindly delivered it to our front door! To read the menu you might initially think it was not out of the ordinary, however everything is freshly made with fresh ingredients (nothing pre packed or microwaved here!), portions were very generous and everything was soooo tasty! Whilst ‘living on site’ we ran out of bread one day and asked if there was a spare from the cafe we could buy? Would you like granary or white was the answer and within seconds a loaf of bread magically appeared - no charge! Set within Creeksea Place this cafe really is a hidden gem. Despite lockdown the drive thru was busy and popular with local dog walkers, walkers, and young families visiting to see the goats. Outside of lockdown I imagine children playing in the gardens on the climbing frames, sightseers enjoying the river walk, golfers visiting the nearby golf club, and the health conscious visiting the gym and spa enjoying coffee, breakfast or lunch provided by the Parlour Cafe. A brilliant concept, in a great location and venue, serving tasty food on the menu and providing great service. Covid or no covid well worthy of a five star rating.

We live in strange times !In the past you arrived, parked, went in, ordered, the food arrived and it was excellent. Now you follow a route around the cafe, order via a remote microphone, pay with a contactless card, go in, get seated, food arrives and it's excellent. The key bit about this is the food is STILL excellent, our breakfasts were wonderful. It feels very safe as well Covid wise.Nice ingredients, freshly cooked, well presented, good coffee.Friendly helpful service as well.

Had to wait outside in the cold with cars queuing behind us to order, which was delayed. Table was wonky so coffees spilled on delivery. Coffee was undrinkable and there were very little good choices, especially for people who don't want a breakfast drenched in oil or butter. My breakfast was swimming in oil. Prices were ok but definitely won't be returning and don't understand why everyone goes on about it being great.

We visited on a rainy day and were a bit disappointed to be kept waiting nearly 10 minutes at the outside intercom before someone eventually took our order. Given the weather we sat inside and were a little disappointed to be made to carry the baby (16weeks old) and the buggy upstairs even though there was a vacant table on the ground floor. The reason given was that the vacant table would not have allowed enough room for people to pass by if we parked the buggy beside it. This is understandable but this could easily be rectified by allowing a little more space between tables (the overall ground floor is, after all, very generous). That said, the service was speedy and the staff are efficient and generally friendly. The chicken and pesto panini was hot and delicious though a little light on chicken. Overall, the Parlour Cafe is to be applauded for its great organisation and for making such a success of its business. I will definitely go again although it would be good if, at least, they could improve the awful outside intercom service as another 10 minute wait in potentially cold wintery weather would definitely put me off.

Someone had recommended this cafe to us and it did not disappoint. We sat outside on a table and then realised that we had to go through the cafe to order by intercom and make a card payment, returning to the table by walking around the building. So it was all one way only. The only problem was that to use the ladies' room you had to make the same circular tour. Once we understood what we had to do, it was fine. We returned the following day for another coffee as we found it so pleasant there. Definitely to be recommended.

We visited the cafe last week for a quick lunch. We had previously tried before to come here but the queue to get in was just ridiculous.I had a chicken club Sandwich and my wife had Mediterranean panini. Both were really nice mine came with chips and the other with crisps. Was a really nice day to be outside and they have a great area. The food arrived quickly despite been very busy. The reason for the 4 star is because of the drive through ordering system. I don't really understand why I have to place my order in the car before entering. It made us feel a bit rushed to order, and in all honesty when the queus are huge it just puts me off even bothering to wait.

We have a caravan next door to Parlour Cafe and have ate there on numerous occasions, also recommended it to many people. But ... the last two times we ate there we were very disappointed. I have always had Chicken and Pesto Panini, which is normally full of chicken and pesto along with sun dried tomatoes. On the last two occasions it was very dry and the chicken looked and tasted like supermarket pre packed chicken, very little pesto and only one very small sun dried tomato. I’m not a fussy eater, but struggled to get through it.Not the usual standard at all.

My partner and I thought this was fantastic and seeing a comment that you are doing too much to protect your staff is frankly laughable! You should pride yourselves on being one of few companies who have responded in this way. AND you offer eco friendly packaging which I LOVE and again something to pride yourselves on. We decided to go to the parlour cafe after having a sense of humour failure at the Osea view cafe, once we found the Parlour (signage easily missed once you have pulled into Creeksea road) it turned out to be clean and welcoming, ordered two breakfasts and requested a few changes to the set full breakfast, no trouble for the counter staff and the breakfasts came up exactly as requested, good food and friendly service.Apart from two “gentlemen” deciding to have a punch up mid way through it was a very enjoyable and somewhat entertaining lunchtime break Obviously the punch up was in no way a reflection on the cafe as they cannot necessarily vet their patrons and to be fair one of the young female members of staff was quick to bravely intervene and apologised for these “adults” behaviour, shame that some people cannot control themselves especially when there are a lot of young children around, I hope the young man that decided it was ok to punch another young man several times (who did not retaliate to his credit) is proud of his actions.Anyway that aside I would recommend this cafe as the food and friendly staff deserves a good review.

The updated furnishings add a splash of much needed colour which I love.We popped in for breakfast on Sunday at 9am and by 10am the place was buzzing with families. The menu is still the same as before, but I noticed there are some daily specials. The service is faultless as always; the staff work very hard to keep customers fed and watered - inside and out!Definitely worth dropping in if you haven't already.

This review is a few months old, but we still speak about it, so I have to write a review. We booked afternoon tea back in June for my daughter birthday and didn't think it would be anything grand or special like having afternoon tea at the Ritz or somewhere as grand, but boys were we wrong. The service, warm welcome, friendly atmosphere, food, portion sizes and quality were fantastic. It kept on coming and we did not leave disappointed. We love the venue and during summer the outside sitting area is spot on. Just enough room that your little ones can wonder around safely with a small play area to keep them active and entertained. Having been going to the parlour cafe since it first opened I’ve felt it’s gone dramatically down hill. I met with an old school yesterday and waited 20 mins in the line to be served, a further 40 mins for for my food to arrive. I eventually asked and they hadn’t even started making it. Once my food arrived over an hour later it was cold, bland and dry. The service was embarrassing for them, the staff didn’t apologise or seem slightly concerned. The atmosphere was loud and full of mothers that couldn’t control their children. Food all over the floor and children running riot and screaming. I’m not one to write reviews normally but I feel the parlour has just got so bad recently. It’s become a unhygienic kindergarten. Additionally the rather basic menu hasn’t changed in years. Saying this, having also recently been to the spa and gym, I couldn’t fault them.

She was ever so pleasant and was telling us of the plans afoot which was really interested. When we were there, the wedding party from the day before were having their breakfast. We did think what a beautiful place to have a birthday party or a wedding. There is a gorgeous play area for children and then when you walk the grounds there is a disc golf and a foot golf course, which sounded like great fun. On multiple occasions have I visited the cafe with my girlfriend, and all times I have seen a marked disimprovement with presentation. I have looked over to the table made up of “adults” beside me who were actually presented with the appetising lunch box, while we were presented a plate with a warm panini with crisps scattered beneath. Very Disappointed to have experienced in this plate which I previously rated quite highly - standards are definitely slipping, I’m unlikely to return any time soon.

I come to the cafe here in Creeksea quite often, but visiting here the other Saturday was a little disappointing. This is the place if I ask my son where he would like to go for a drink he likes to say to come to, but on the day we came and ordered what we normally have we were a little disappointed. My son normal has a tea as it comes in a tea pot normal but today he only got a cup of tea, my coffee was luk warm, the panini I ordered was a little disappointing had way to much pesto in and not much chicken and was hard around the edge and hard to eat. I have had food here plenty of times so I know they can do better. I think the cafe is having a little bit of an make over as the menu had only a few things to choose from, but the quality of food should not go down while this is going on. hopefully it will get better when all is finished. I will be back but a little disappointed on my last visit.

This cafe is signposted from the road. It’s at the end of a (at times) narrow road. You pass some animals (eg goats) as you drive to the car park. We had bacon sarnies and tea. Both really tasty and served quickly. The only negative (hence 4 not 5 stars) is that it can be hard to get staffs attention at the counter. Also while construction is underway a few more signs in the car park wouldn’t go amiss. Where there’s a no entry sign across a gate - a sign of where to go to get to the cafe would be really useful. This is nit picking but I think if you have elderly folks it would be helpful. There’s lots of free car parking too. Recommended.

We were turned on to Parlour Cafe months ago and have visited several times since. As a couple, we wanted a place to get a coffee, have a bite to eat, and enjoy quiet countryside. The walk around the area is lovely in the spring and summer. A disc golf course is a nice addition. Generally speaking, the staff are friendly and work hard to accommodate. We have no complaints about the wait staff. However, our last couple of visits convinced us to not return to the cafe part. The cafe part is small, which is not a big deal. But you have to queue around tables to order. Seems every time we go the configuration changes. Can't imagine eating indoors and having people stand behind me queuing to order. The food is good and probably worth the price. I think a burger is £6.95 which comes with a small cup of fries. Not many to be honest. We pay the price because we liked the country feel. Worth a couple more pounds for ambience. With a new play area installed, children run around with little parental supervision. When we last visited two small boys were using the ramp and walkway for razor play. Sorry, a liberal minded parent might say "so what?" But come on, be respectful of other guests. If we still had small children, the Parlour Cafe would be great. We can easily envisage taking our kids to play while we enjoy a drink and meal. But our kids are grown and we prefer a more quiet atmosphere for conversation. Go if you have small kids. They will love it. The best place to enjoy a meal is outside. Just be aware, that smoking is allowed out doors. So if you are non-smokers like us, somebody else's smoke will invariable waft your way. On our last visit, which clinched it for us, the kitchen ran out of food at noon on a Sunday. No orders, even drinks, were taken for about 45 minutes. I guess they had to go out and buy some food. While I suspect this a one-off deal, combined with the playground layout it put a nail in our return. The Parlour Cafe started out great. I remarked to staff on the speed and quality that management scaled the site. It has so much potential. Hopefully, they sort out their management issues and decide on what kind of site they want to be. If they want to become something akin to Marsh Farm, then they are fast on their way. If they want to cater to more to an adult presence, then work harder to make us feel wanted.

The service and food here were both very good and reasonably priced. It is basic but that makes it quite quirky!

Children enjoyed the garden facilities.Breakfast good, not greasy. A little on the expensive side though. Staff who bought breakfast into garden smiley and polite. Only negative for us was after a walk we asked for the empty water bowl for our thirsty dog to be filled only to be told she didn't have time. She spent at least a minute telling us where another bowl could be found. Twice the time it would have taken to pour some much required water in the bowl.

Providing you don't go into the Parlour Cafe near closing time, you can get good tasty food at a good price. We have now visited five times and until the last time was very impressed. The Burger I ordered near to closing time was totally dry and quite inedible. The girls that serve are a credit to the owners, always very polite and friendly. The garden is lovely and it's nice to be able to take dogs in. My only complaint is the Curly Fries they sell are always soggy as they are under cooked. But other than that it is a very comfortable place to eat with usually excellent food. .

A pleasant sunny lunch , quiet atmosphere in a well tended garden, even with the new play area being built. The food was reasonable but on the expensive side and definitely could have been bigger portion

A few weeks ago I had breakfast with some friends at The Parlour Cafe. It was superb. The cafe itself is in a beaultiful setting and the Full English was plentiful , non- greasy and good value for money . I cant wait to go there again. My only 'concern' was that there was only one W.C . which , for people with small children could be a draw- back.

Visited for the first time. Firstly we had a lovely walk along the creek enjoying the views and lots of wildlife. On returning we visited the Cafe for coffee. It is a charming building, spotless inside and with a large garden with plenty of seating and play equipment for children at far end. Dogs can sit in the garden with their owners and water bowls are available. Varied menu with toasted panini's, sandwiches, good selection of home made cakes & scones and ice cream. The coffee was organic fair-trade and delicious.Plenty of parking and excellent toilets. Look forward to returning again and trying the food!Highly recommended.

We stayed in the barns which was disappointing but we was pleased with the cafe, it would of been nice to of had an evening meal there but couldn't as they closed at 5 pm. The girls were very polite and service good, the American Milkshakes I would highly recommend and the breakfast was good. The only criticism I have that it is quite expensive especially being right next to where we were staying, I feel perhaps the breakfast should be included in the price of the Barns or some sort of discount given, anyway that is the only down side.

As the cafe is situated by the Creeksea place barns it is the only place to eat unless you wish to drive into town. The milkshakes are lovely and I enjoyed the breakfast. The prices are high and not part of the room charge so is an added extra. Staff were polite.

We regularly visit here as we live in Burnham. It's easy to enjoy a stroll passed the Harbour and along the river toward the Parlour. Since our first encounter this place has been getting better and better. The bonus for me is that there are Gluten free options for cakes. I t would be nice if there were some savoury options though. The recent Muddy boots farm is a great addition. There is Seating inside and out. My only disappointment is at the weekends, there is always a long wait even for a drink & not all staff seem to have that customer service right. The owners also put on regular outside events that involve live music - watch out for these, they're good fun and again just picked up this relaxed atmosphere.

Very nice cafe with great food. It was very clean, with helpful, friendly staff. Lots of outdoor sitting in a picnic type of setting, and plenty of places for the little kids to play. Next door is a manor house that is absolutely beautiful. Apparently lots of weddings are staged there. Worth looking into, if you're in need of a venue.

Dropped in for frappucino on sunny Saturday lunchtime, when the place was extremely busy (I am a little amazed at how such an out-of-the-way place is so). This was tasty, though they initially got the order wrong after quite a long wait. The food we saw being served up to others looked nice. I rather agree with the reviewer who said they stood at the counter for ages waiting for one of several ladies to notice them. Even at a busy time, you'd think someone would be deployed just to take orders, walk to adjacent kitchen with them, and be back at counter straightaway. Though the people serving were very charming, I must say.

After last visiting the Parlour which was a bad experience. They have seemed to of up their game. Great coffee, friendly service and really nice food. All would say is the menu needs updating and using fresh bread than shopped bought bread. But that's just me. Worth a visit if not tried.

On a trip to Burnham on Crouch we called in our way home for a quick bite to eat. At 4.00pm at which time they seamed to be interested in getting ready to close at 5.00pm. 3 staff behind the counter we had to stop someone to ask for assistance. Food mediocre, sandwiches on cheap bread and those fancy plastic tea bags that look cool but give you a nasty weak tea. 2 sandwiches a latte and tea, £11.40. We asked for curly fries, but as we weren't ordering something that fries came with, we were refused.

I've been here a couple of times for a coffee and a quick snack and only returned to give them the benefit of the doubt.Setting is lovely and the buildings are well appointed and cosy, especially if you pop in following a winter stroll, however, whilst the menu is not bad on the whole, the service is indifferent at best.On both occasions I've been, I've stood at the counter for 5 minutes plus to make my order, whilst an army of girls mess around with the coffee machine and till and proceeded to not even suggest they'd see to my order in a minute. Lazy at best and extremely rude at worst.Won't be going out of my way to visit the cafe part of the development again.

I like the coffee here, it's a great bean they use so popped in at 14:00 on a Wednesday. Decided on the all day English brekky too.Cold beans, hard fried egg, cold bacon, cold hash brown etc, etc.We weren't asked if we wanted any condiments or sauces and weren't asked if everything was ok.I won't bother again and it is a real schlep out from where I am.
