This local pub was clean and well maintained the bar stuff were also friendly.

Polite and friendly staff. Welcoming atmosphere. Will certainly visit this pub again.

Didn't have food, but the service and atmosphere was very good. Enjoyed our visit.

The George is a nice pub and has had some great football art added to the walls recently by a local artist, very popular with football fans on a matchday. A decent variety on tap and very friendly staff.

Pretty scary place, not for women. If you are a woman, don't go there at night.

Having changed landlords, after a decade or more, the pub has been through some angst to find its new way. No longer the weekend live music venue, it has a new menu of interests to offer.

Gr8 start and manger. Beer is better. Alway having gr8 time with our groups

Firstly, the pub no longer does food. However what a friendly pub. Friendly staff and locals. Extremly welcoming. As stated, they no longer serve food, but we had several local takeaways suggested, and given the post code so we could use Uber Eats

Bar staff would rather play pool or stand outside chatting and smoking than serve customers, was told to wait on 2 occasions while playing pool or outside smoking. Very rude when asked to be served not welcoming and also seen to only give a single spirit when asked for a double and of course charged for double. I managed to get the names of both staff members spike and chase sort it out a great pub run into the ground

A classic & old english style pub right where you enter Luton from the train station. I went and saw couple of football matches along with the rest of the people. I first saw a home match when Luton Town FC was playing at the nearby Kenilworth Road along with the home supporters. Great atmosphere at the pub. I was a bit skeptical entering first as I was the only Indian guy among all the English but I found it to be really welcoming. Even played a round of pool with the locals. I went there the next day as well to catch some football matches on tv and once again had a good time. There is no food available and only drinks. So be prepared for it.

Pleasantly surprised - walked in for a quick pint after getting off the train and was immediately chatting to a couple of locals. Friendly staff, friendly locals and the beer seems well kept. Will definitely pop in again. (Haven't tried the food - so can't comment.)

Was greeted with smiles by the lovely security! Then entered an ordered a drink from Sam, who was really bubbly. He then throughout the evening continued to be a great host. He runs the bar better than anyone I’ve seen in Luton and is a true credit to the team. I lost my wallet in the George and he helped try to find it & gave me complimentary drink. Couldn’t recommend the place more. Thanks Sam for making my evening that little bit better!! Chase was also great and is a real treasure. Will be coming back

Pub was buzzing the luton town fans were respectable and we were very happy just relaxing having a drink before the game.

i ordered a cider, got a cider, cant ask for much more than that really, friendly staff, brigette you rock!

Always friendly bar staff. Top landlord. Very underatted and unsold for a nice convenient place. Near the station. Top place apart from the odd knob head. But strangers must. To sum it up in a few words a great place for a beer.

I'm staying a few doors away, Easy Hotel,(that's another story) This pub is fun, as pubs down I'm London used to be. Mind you their local team, luton town are playing at home this evening, Sheffield I think, a bit mad but thankfully they are now gone to the game. Nice Guinness, good price.

It's a nice enough place with reasonable prices on their drinks. I believe they have a pool table here. Something that isn't easy to find out online across pubs I find so I hope this helps. I honestly wasn't there long so I can't say much other than the people here are friendly enough in the evening and they sell good beer.

Didn’t even stay for food because of the disgusting attitude of the ‘manager’ that clearly did not want to be there. Customers should not be made to feel like a burden. Not impressed won’t be back.

Really not impressed with this place unfortunately. The lady staff member was really miserable and didn’t make any efforts to make us feel welcome at all! We chose this place for the « home cooked food » but that was a real let down as well unfortunately. All in all not a very good experience I’m afraid.

I've always enjoyed this pub for live alternative gigs and for our first time back in years (because of kids and covid etc) it did not dissapoint! Pub manager was, as always, so friendly and polite, taking the time to let me try which wine I'd prefer before buying. The food menu and chef are just fantastic for great quality pub food of burgers/pizza/chips but with an amazing bonus for 'different' families like mine; there was vegan AND gluten free options on the menu and they were perfect! The chef really looked after us. Very chuffed, great couple of hours out with the kids for their first live gig and dinner amongst lovely people. X

Great service and very clean felt safe as far as covid .And the bar staff are excellent. The young man Aaron very good at his job knows how to treat his customers and cares for his staff. Also the bar manager Egor he was very good with his service . Your pub is great and i enjoyed the food very much the curry sauce is great .we Enjoy eating here very much.

Denied us entry then a group of the same number turned up and asked to come in and got let straight in, they then lied to us about the other group having 'prebooked' at 1am even though I was stood next to them as they asked to come in and got told it would be fine

Ali and Eric and the rest of a team have always done a great job here. The best place in Luton to watch live bands. The only thing lacking before was it looked dated and needing a refurb, but now it looks absolutely lovely in there. One of the best in Luton!

Great place, lovely bar staff and with the added bonus of just a short walk from where the Dunstable bus drops you off.

We had a stop over in Luton as we had an early start the next day. We had a few drinks and some food in here which was nice. Some of the locals was a bit loud but they were at the other side of the pub and no bother. The food took a little while to come but tasted nice when it did arrive. Cheap and cheerful.

Convenient for town centre and rail link. Clean as well. You can score penalties in the mens' urinals!

Recently refurbished with good food including some well recommended pizzas and live music

I ve been here with my family over a month ago, it was our last day of holidays so we decided to grab a bite before to head to Luton airport. It was a very busy time and I have to say we waited for the food quite a long time. Anyway when the food arrived we were really happy and the staff came to apologise for the long wait and offered us a beer and a coffee each. We really appreciated the gesture I would recommend to go for a nice meal.

Yep very loud ! One of choices if u go out in Luton on week end. Mind u this place is mainly for elderly old school people now and the music is appropriate. So if youngster, may not be your cup of tea, still few in here though. Not the cheapest drinks here ,but not bad. Open till late , one of few places in Luton to do it now. Quick and efficient staff, cosy smoking area at the back and poll table in backroom. Very open spaces, not many tables in. Huge car park outside, well is also for train station. George II, where is the I st ?!

A very light,clean pub, not too busy with friendly staff. The food is of a good quality and not too expensive. Close to all transit links and main shopping mall.

Ok pub but half of it is now Pizza restaurant. Not an improvement IMO.

Great beer selection. Lucy is fantastic bartender.
