Wanted a local stop with a few better options than the standard pub. Exceptionally nice dining room, wonderful traditional decoration and feel. Coq au Van was well cooked and sauced, veggies ok, nice desert options. Did need a reservation on the weekend, but Monday we just had an empty room for the most part. Good local cider options

We visited this pub about 2 years ago and a lovely meal, so on our return visit to Tenby we were keen to go back. We phoned and booked a table for 4 and arranged a taxi home. On arrival we were advised that they were short staffed so might be a delay, which we were fine with. We duly ordered our food, however 5 minutes later, told that the dishes 3 of us had chosen were not available. However on going for another choice, advised that wasn’t available either. The menu option thus became very limited, but as we had travelled out of Tenby we had no alternative but to stay. The meal was very bland and very disappointing. We understood that staff can cancel without much notice, but not being able to offer the advertised menu, especially as we had booked and could have been given this information then, is not good service. We won’t be returning and would not recommend.

Just had a two night stay, dog allowed Lovely place, clean, well equipped, parking outside of room and nice breakfast. Freindly staff and relaxed vibe. Enjoyed it, and would go back. Wish it had a bar though as pub down the road was closed for a refurb.

Just passing through Haverfordwest and noticed on Google maps Moby Dicks famous chip shop, and I can see why it maybe famous, the food was excellent, the cod was freshly cooked in crispy batter and the chips were delicious, the curry sauce was probably one of the best I've tasted. Definitely 10 out of 10, the staff are very friendly, with great service. Definitely worth a return visit.

We’ve been here a couple of times before, and always really enjoyed it, so we felt a tiny bit disappointed with our experience this time. Our order arrived slightly wrong, although the staff seemed quite busy, and it wasn’t particularly a problem, so we didn’t make a fuss, because in the end it didn’t really make much difference to us – we did enjoy the food that we got. Having said that though, a number of the customers around us also seemed to be receiving not quite what they ordered… ! A couple of the staff seemed really stressed, and one in particular seemed very distracted – there were a number of times that she arrived in the small room at the back where there are tables saying “ Did anybody order X?” and when nobody replied, she would take the item away again. We also waited quite a long time for the food to arrive. All in all, it was just a bit unfortunate – I don’t know whether they were having problems of some description, but it just wasn’t as nice as it has been when we’ve been before.

We visited The Bishops whilst travelling through St. David’s. The pub is very well situated within the town if you are visiting the Cathedral or even passing through. If you’re lucky enough, like us, there are a number of free spaces on the hill, to the side of the Cathedral. There was three of us visiting, we ordered some food from the light bites / sandwiches selection - Ham & Cheese, Coronation Chicken, Tuna Mayo, two soft drinks and a pint of Madri. Now the total bill did come in at £38.50 which in my opinion isn’t cheap, but each sandwich was fresh, tasty and served with a tasty side salad and crisps. The sandwiches really were tasty and very filling, we would definitely recommend if you’re visiting the area and fancy a quick bite to eat with a decent pint!

The food here was by far the most bland Indian food I have ever eaten. The Dal Makhani was near inedible, and the lamb biryani had barely any flavor at all. The only saving grace was that the lamb itself was tender and well cooked. Otherwise, there was nothing positive here. I love Indian cuisine. I've eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants around the area, and other cities. I only mention this to preface that my experience here has nothing to do with not knowing what to expect. What I expect from Indian food: a wonderful blend of spices and smells that make your taste buds sing. What we got here was more like unseasoned thanksgiving turkey. A part of me wonders if the food here is catering to a unique audience, because I cannot believe in my heart than any actual lover of true Indian cuisine could enjoy this pale imitation.
