Popped here early Sunday afternoon, lovely and warm place. Menu doesn't have the most variety, but the food is excellent. I had the Sausage sandwich with a twist which was very tasty and a good size. My partner had the veggie Cawl which was also excellent and good value!

Waited 10mins for waitress to come and take our order….when I eventually asked, we were told we had to go to the bar to order. Why didn’t one of the X3 waitresses tell us this as they walked numerous times back and forth? My Wife had the Plant-base Burger and I had the Chicken Burger. My Wife’s was nice, mine was adequate. Once again, they adhered to my request of no extras added to my plate. The chunky chips we both had looked lovely but we both agreed were tasteless. Would we return…Nice place so I’d try a different meal. BJ Xx

Went in for coffee. The best we'd had in Wales since arrival. Went back for lunch. Both had Coronation chicken. Excellent food and service on both visits. Music was pleasant and not overpowering. We're a bit biased here, as it was 60s stuff and suited our ages! We'll definitely revisit, either this holiday or the next.

Had a pint while my family had coffees. Pints had a feety smell, almost as if the pipes hadn't been cleaned. Miscommunication between the staff resulted in an extra pint being brought over. Couldn't drink either so that's 2 wasted pints as they smelt and tasted off. Cakes hard. The lady who served us was friendly though the manager (or so I hear) looked like I'd inconvenienced her when I asked about the missing drink and cakes. Shame as my parents really bigged up the place. Wonderful decor but hard seats in the booths.

To start, the drinks were great. Whereas, the attitude of certain members of staff was extremely poor. We ordered 2 hot drinks, one frappe, a milkshake and two slices of cake. The drinks took 20+ minutes to be made and brought over, and then after a mix-up and lack of ingredients, another 5+ minutes for the mistake to be corrected, at this point, there was no sign of cakes. When we asked the front of house person where the cakes were, she told us that they were in the middle of breakfast (11am now). By this point, we had been told that the cakes were on their way, twice, by two separate members of staff. Third time lucky...? Mentioned how we only ordered two slices of cake to the front of house person, which wouldn't take 30 seconds to make up and she then got snappy. Told us "what else do you expect when we are in the middle of the breakfast rush..." when we advised her to sort it out. 30+ minutes for two slices of cake is slightly ridiculous... She offered us a refund, but said "if you want it, you'll have to go up to the counter" whilst serving another table, then started mocking us to a colleague with me stood behind her. Additionally, pushed another customer aside to belittle us in an attempt to rush us out the door quicker.

Positives - food is nice and cooked well. Had a breakfast and this was very pleasant. Would have been nice to have fresh instead of tinned tomatoes. Tea was ok. Negative- service not the best. When seated was not told that you had to go and order at the till and so sat waiting for half an hour before I was told this after I went to the till to query delay. Not offered anything as a form of apology other than we will get your order to you asap. I wouldn’t say it’s very organised, and could do with a little more structure re management/ organising of staff. If it’s not table service- then I would suggest making this obvious on entry, maybe on a sign or on the front of menu. This ma seem a minor , but can become a big put off of service isn’t right. To finish on positive - decor is nice and it has a relaxed feel to it.

Very very disappointed. Rang up Tuesday morning and ordered afternoon tea. When we got there told them I’d pre-booked. Shown to a table asked what we wanted to drink and given menus . Got a bit surreal then. Again asked what we wanted to drink. Told us they had either plain or cheese scones. Thought this was part of the afternoon tea so said we would have one of each. Out came a pot of tea a coke and two scones. I asked again where was the rest of the afternoon tea….. in a garbled way we were told we had to choose from the menu! Obviously not up to doing the job! If you haven’t done it put your hands up…… spoiled what should have been a special day for us both!!!

Bitter sweet really. Lovely little setting, menu seemed great so we decided to order a sharing ploughman's platter, coffee and soft drinks. Coffee was amazing! Food was rather poor. There was nothing to share. Small block of cheese, 1 slice of ham, 4 pickled onions, very small pot of pickle and 4 thinly sliced baguette slices. So decided to order another salad for my partner, guess what, they forgot about it so we got a refund, and duly left. 38 quid in total. Certainly won't be going back unless it for a coffee!

Had a long weekend in Saundersfoot having never been before we spotted this bistro and decided to have lunch there. My husband had ordered prosecco but when it came (without an ice bucket) it wasn’t chilled. We asked the waitress for an ice bucket but just got one of the stainless steel bucket no ice. After glass number two we decided to order, I chose a cheese and ham ciabatta my husband the prawns with bread and he also wanted dipping bread with oils. When I ordered I mentioned to the girl serving that the Prosecco wasn’t chilled. She said without batting an eye she would replace it. Food came, what a disappointment my husbands 5 prawns were in breadcrumbs, the dish was the size of my hand, my dish was a ciabatta cut in half with a plate of green salad £14?!? The dipping bread and oils never came and when I asked for it the waitress said it wasn’t on the order. Back to the prosecco, Then the fun started. An older woman came out with a bucket with ice in it miraculously! I said can you bring the Prosecco too? She said you’ve already got some so I explained the bottle wasn’t chilled and that the waitress had said she would give us another bottle. She asked me which waitress and she got louder and louder. I told her I’m only telling you what the waitress had said to me she disappeared then after telling us she’d put the Prosecco in the fridge herself the previous Monday!!!! The waitress had already told us none of the bottles were chilled. Anyway she came back out with a bottle we put it in the iced water she told us she’d give it to us for half price!!! So we’d bought a warm bottle then paid half again for a colder bottle. What a fiasco. She clearly was the manager/owner certainly didn’t know how to conduct a quiet conversation with a customer. Other diners looked over and one lady shook her head in astonishment. So would we recommend it? NO. Would we go again? NO. Overpriced unappetising food, prawns for over £10 were not fresh and very chewy, mine was just a sandwich very overpriced. No one came to ask us if the food was ok and the dipping bread never turned up. When we got back to our accommodation the people staying next to us said they were going to Periwinkle for evening meal, we told them the fiasco we had. Anyway they went and when we saw them later that evening they said the food and service were ‘crap’

Lovely setting with great Decor and really good coffee! However, sadly totally let down by food wait time and expense. Waited 55 minutes with two small children for 2 breakfasts (poached egg and avocado). When it finally arrived eggs were totally over done, hard yolk and cold. No seasoning, butter given on the side yet the toast was already covered in avocado and eggs. Paid extra £2.50 for bacon (1 slice). Incredibly expensive for an average breakfast. Not greet value for money.

Had a pre-booked table. Staff (young) kept coming to our outside table stating that unless we had booked we couldn't use it!! Took 30 minutes to get drinks. Took another 30 minutes to get our ordered dishes. Their bread was very good, the mackerel pate as a starter was also very good. Both out main dishes were poor. Cod loin on bed of tomatoes etc, was actually a bowl of ratatouille with overcooked tail end of cod on top (the tail tucked underneath to make it look OK like a centre cut loin). The bowl of mussels mariniere - was the smallest dried up mussels we have ever been served in what tasted like sour milk and onions. The staff tried but were not being supported by any manager. They were also badly affected by a group of young adults with 3 babies in pushchairs the size of buses, 2 other children who caused havoc on arrival with the staff having to move tables and chairs to try and accommodate this party.

Whilst having a day out in Saundersfoot decided to stop for lunch at the Bistro. We sat outside and had fish finger sandwiches and a ham salad both with chips. The service was good and the meals were excellent. Not sure about atmosphere having eaten outside. I think we may have been the last customers to be served a lunch has a number of customers were asked to come back later. I think the Bistro should revisit this decision on a busy day. They appeared to loose a significant number of customers. I would recommend a visit to the Bistro for the food.

Was greeted by a lovely girl who said food would start in 20 mins but to have a drink then she would bring the menu over. We were not told to order at the bar so waited quite a while before being told that. The lunch menu did not appear until we asked again. Ordered calamari and what said stuffed peppers with goats cheese. The calamari arrived, the girl put it down and walked off, we had no cutlery or napkin. Next the peppers arrived which were not stuffed but just out of a jar with cut up goats cheese. My cocktail was very disappointing and my husband said his beer tasted off. All in all very disappointed

We tried Periwinkle with a very helpful young waitress who suggested the battered prawns salad with chips. I settled for a small bowl of muscles which was cooked blandly without white wine & celery making no jus as well as three shells failed to open. Without my wife's shared oil cooked tasty & light chips it would of been meager. To compensate this we had two churros with thick melted chocolate 'delightful'.

Just dropped in for a coffee, which was very flavoursome. The staff were very friendly. Unusual decor but had a nice ambiance. The menu options looked tempting. They have a selection of foods in their delicatessen with some tasters on the counter.
