Great people lovely pub. Literally one of the best pubs you will ever visit in terms of atmosphere.

Lovely Sunday lunch, huge portions.

Had a drink outside then upstairs for dinner with friends, food was a good portion size and tasty with very good service from the staff.

We were staying locally for a week and popped in for a meal. The landlady was great at fitting us in as we hadn’t booked and was very busy. Food was great , fish and chips was top notch , according to eldest son. Great prices for drinks and great atmosphere for a nice local spot. Would love to stay for a few more drinks in the summer months 👍🏻

Went with my Dad for food and it was very. Good, friendly, fast service. We will be going back. Large selection of local beers and usuall suspects. Thank you

Stayed in St Florence for a week recently and this was our 3rd time there. We used the Sun Inn every night of our stay. Everyone we met in the pub was very welcoming and friendly, and our dog Franki was also made very welcome. The pub has a nice cosy feeling to it with a quaint small outside seating area. Drinks prices are very competitive and all the bar staff were very helpful. Highly recommend the open-mic night on Thursdays, great fun and good music. We ate in the Sun twice and the meals were excellent with great portion sizes. Gareth, the chef and his team served us well, Gareth had us laughing every night with his stories of local life, a really nice guy. Looking forward to visiting again next year. Thanks all at the Sun Inn.

Had breakfast here and it was such a feed. Could barely finish it. Great portion sizes and value with friendly service.

Would not recommend visiting with dogs! Not only was the front of house lady (Linda) rude, but she fed my dog a piece of gammon fat off another customers plate without asking. This resulted in my dog being sick. Food was okay, however slightly overpriced.

Very disappointed. Service was poor. Definitely not made to feel welcome as a visitor. Lack of attention or communication. Curry missed poppadoms. We were told the Kids meal could only be served with chips even tho they served mash/new potatoes with other meals. Plates collected with no offer of desserts. Nobody came over to us, they attended to the tables around us. When we finally got the attention of a staff member the kitchen was closed so no desserts available. Would not go back or recommend to our other Air B&B community. Such a shame.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly and welcoming. Really enjoyed the Hunters Chicken with no room left for pudding. Good honest food and generous portions size. Dog friendly too. Recommended.

Been here now on a few occasions when on holiday in Tenby. The food is always nice, lovely pub atmosphere and friendly staff.

A basic pubby pub. Friendly staff and good hot food. Nothing special but nothing to complain about. The Euros was on in the bar, on silent. The music playing was too loud for my liking, hence losing a star.

We were staying nearby and the pub was recommended to us and I was very happy with our meal. The steak was really tasty and the hunters chicken was so filling and tasted so good. The portions were huge, we got a side of onion rings and there were so many. We felt like we rolled back to our accommodation, we had no room at all for pudding. The pub is a lovely small village pub and the atmosphere was great although towards the end of our meal it did get a little too loud for us to hold conversation at times as my partner is hard of hearing but we try to eat earlier to avoid this being a problem.

We were staying locally & Airbnb host recommended this place for Friday Dinner Everyone in the pub was very friendly from staff, regulars & visitors We ordered the special large burger meal with chips and garlic and herb chicken breast .Portions were really generous and very tasty. To drink we both had cider. Overall excellent

Thos pub is dog friendly, fab ales and beers. Amazing food that doesn't cost the earth.

We had Sunday lunch what a pleasure to have fresh, tender, tasty, well prepared ingredients, the cauliflower cheese was first class, the meats tops well done Gareth, and hope the smiling give up lasts well defiantly be back very soon.

Absolutely love the Sunday Lunch here. Always fresh ingredients and plenty to eat. My favourite is the cauliflower cheese.

What a great pub!! We were staying locally as a larger group, we phoned this evening, and they offered us a table to eat. We had a varied selection of meals, and each person very much enjoyed them, I had the 10 inch steak with chips, it's the best steak I've ever had, perfectly cooked, juicy, and very tasty! Also great chips and onion rings.. The roasts were also fantastic, with the cauliflower cheese. Everyone who served us was very helpful and friendly, the kids we had with us were very well catered for, with various games to play. The atmosphere was great, and very cosy with the heavy rain outside. Also dog friendly. We're still hear until Saturday and would happily return!

This is a proper pub, selling proper food.I was highly satisfied with my visit.I would highly recommend, I was staying in the area on holiday and a lot of places are so much the same. This place is different and very quaint. Open fire and village feel.

So pleased with our visit to the Sun Inn. They provided our large group (15) with a room and great food at a couple of days notice!

The menu online was different than the menu we had in the pub, the prices were different which was a bit of a shock when we saw the menu at the table. There were four of us for a Saturday night meal. Two had generous fish and chip and mushy pea meals, the other person had a very poor double burger (very cheaply made, but when we complained about it, they only charged us half price) and I had the sirloin steak which was very nice, but very expensive for £25. The pub was very busy for a Saturday night so we ate upstairs which was cold and basic. The tables could’ve done with a bit of a wipe. The staff were very helpful and friendly. But we won’t be going again.

Oozes with charm and character. Very warm and friendly and food just like home cooking. Was open mic night and the entertainment was superb. All towns need a gem like this.

We stumbled across this pub whilst holidaying in South Wales. It is fair to say that in this neck of the woods there aren't a massive amount of pubs or dining choices so we were thankful to find this place. It looks strange on the outside and we felt like we were parking on someone's drive when we pulled up but it's all part of the charm. The welcome was fab, staff couldn't do enough for us. It's a lovely atmosphere inside, friendly and relaxed. No airs and graces just a hearty welcome and hearty food. Our pooch also gives it the 'paws up'.

Fantastic local place where you don't feel like an outsider. Food is great. We were lucky to drop in on the open mike Thursday night and it was a wonderful night with Tom Morgan steering the perfmances. All in all great staff, food with great locals with a huge dash of talent.

Booked late was not disappointed staff was very friendly. Cook dinner was delicious children had ice cream. Was reasonably priced 2 adults cook dinners . 3 child's ice cream and drinks

Absolutely loved this pub. Very friendly and welcoming. Great brews and food. The jolly cook will fatten you up. Leave your beer stamps for Howel, a local. He'll get a pint out of it. He's a good bloke and will chat if he's there.

This is a great local pub. Themed nights which are well attended and food from a menu.

A friendly welcoming pub. Had a lovely meal, good service+ great staff. This is what we call a proper pub...not your gastro pub. We went on a Thursday which happened to be " open Mike night" so stayed all night from 6-00 until gone 11-00. Time just flew by. We will be back soon. Thankyou for a lovely evening.

What can I say? We had 4 days in st Florence and we wish it was longer. I actually can’t put into words how amazing this place is; the food (thanks Gareth), the service, the people, the live music… I could go on. This place was recommended to us by our air bnb owner and it did not disappoint (we spent 3 out of the 5 nights there!) if you want amazing food, great and friendly people and just the best atmosphere then you need to visit the Sun. We had the best welcome and felt so appreciated. My only regret is that we didn’t go there every night! Special shout out again to the chef Gareth- the best food we have ever had. We love the Sun!

What an amazing little gem hidden in the Welsh countryside. Atmosphere is amazing after being at an open mic session on Thursdays. We has dinner here and had a full roast sea bass between two with a few amazing sides. Food was stunning thanks to Gareth and service was perfect. Guinness was one of the best outside of Ireland. Would highly highly recommend to anyone around. Will definitely be coming back

We dined in here while on holiday in St Florence and the food and service was excellent. We both had the chef's special, a Thai chicken stir fry which was really fresh and very tasty. Compliments to the staff and the chef on your service..thank you . Also they do a beautiful Malfi Gin in the proper glass too! Regards Rob and Jackie.🙂🙂

Stayed in the cottage next door to The Sun Inn. They made us very welcome when we popped in for drinks and we also had a lovely meal one night. Great atmosphere. Will be thinking of them tonight for the champions league Cup final.

Spent the weekend in St Florence, looking at the reviews we decide to book a table for our evening meal, the pub was packed . We enjoyed a lovely meal reasonable priced, the staff were friendly and delivered a excellent service we enjoyed it so much that we booked a evening meal for the rest of our stay would definitely recommended

Vomit. Avoid the burger. Cheap and nasty, if you are stupid enough to buy don't complain just vomit in the carpark, when you complain they kickoff at you. Should have realised when we were the only ones eating. Truly disgusting.

Nice village pub, friendly staff and customers. A friend's 60th was held here recently and a fab evening was had by all, great live music. I'm told they hold an open mic night on Thursdays.

Husbands pie and mash was not bad but my fish pie was clearly just a shop bought frozen one and poorly cooked . Sorry but we didn't go back.

What a great friendly place. 12 of us, age 4 to 90 went for an evening meal whilst staying locally. Lovely food, efficient service fair prices, a rare thing at the moment. If we had time we would have gone again. Can't praise the staff enough, many thanks.

Great local pub, very busy on the Friday evening we visited so best to book and reserve a table. It's a very cosy, traditional and warm atmosphere. Very friendly staff and although this seemed a popular local pub the locals were all very friendly. The atmosphere on the night (Friday) was quite boisterous but it was nothing rowdy or menacing, just lots of people having a good time. Food is ordered at the bar, and delivered to your table. Portion sizes are excellent and our group of five all had different meals and all of us finished the lot without complaint. Service is centred around the bar, so if you want more drinks you'll need to go up. Prices are extremely reasonable with most mains around £10, and a bottle of house wine £13. Parking is opposite the pub. A few tables and chairs outside. Would definitely recommend.

I booked this place a little apprehensively, however I was more than pleasantly surprised, so much so, we came two nights in a row. It’s a real pub, packed full of character and atmosphere. The locals made us feel welcome and we had a really great night. The food was good pub food; flavourful, large portions and great value for money. Service changed night to night; the first night we ordered at the bar, then the second night was table service, but when most places are short staffed this didn’t bother us. The ladies toilets have an interesting decor which is worth going to the bathroom for. Excellent pub in a great little village.

Lovely traditional little pub. We stayed down the road for a couple nights and booked a table to eat apprehensively. We really enjoyed the evening and the food was proper homemade grub, also met some lovely people and stayed longer than expected having a couple drinks. We enjoyed it so much we returned the following evening. Service was abit sporadic, but it was busy for such a small pub and everywhere is so understaffed so fully understandable, don't let other reviews put you off! Portions are massive and very reasonably priced, would definitely return if we were in the area again. A*

Staying down the road... They tried to squeeze us in... Was offered a table outside a waited 55 mins for food. Questioned the bar staff only to be told we'd have to wait at least another 40 mins... Disgraceful as I have 3 kids who were freezing.... Couldn't wait any longer so left completely dismayed... Would never go again or recommend to anyone visiting as seemed to be left out... Only locals welcome!!! Went for a domino's pizza in the end... Was cheaper and quicker service. 😂
