Excellent pub open at proper times and full of happy locals. Just what a proper pub should be, memorabilia adorning the walls, great staff and happy hour at 4 on Tuesdays.

We heard good things about this pub so I thought I should pay it a visit for lunch with my partner while I was down in Milford. Loved it so much that we have been back several more times for lunch & evening drinks along with friends and family 😃 Food is very good quality and quantity at a fair price. Although I'm a Londoner, I was made to feel like one of the family, it might be 250miles away from me but this is my "local" and I visit every time I'm in Pembs.

This is a friendly pub offering a variety of good value pub food. There is a good selection of drinks, including well-kept real ale. There is a lot of local memorabilia and a strong local following. The reverend James beer was very well-kept.

Staff are always polite and attentive here and service is always good . I love how the pub has regular customers who welcome you with open arms and make you feel extremely welcome. There is a good choice of meals on the menu . I had a cheese burger and my mother had a omelette both meals were substantial and piping hot . Certainly good value for money . To be honest I prefer to support local establishments as you get good service and I would certainly recommend here to everybody Thank you

Just like to say how rude and unfriendly the staff were at this pub. Called in today for a drink and was spoken to like children. We sat for 1/2 hour waiting for our order to be taken which never happened and ended up leaving still thirsty. Absolutely shocking service. FIRST AND LAST time ever.

Let me start of by saying I live in Scotland. I have visited the first and last a few hundred times as I have family who live in Pembroke Dock. The landlord Richard is excellent, as is his wife Michelle. The pub itself is not large but makes up for that for being the friendliest (in my opinion) pub in Britain. three days a week they have roll the dice, (two dice) throw an eight get 10p off per drink, rising for a nine, ten eleven, and if you through a double six your drink/drinks are half price. When Wales are playing rugby (televised) it is so much off a drink for a penalty goal, drop goal, try, Accumulative you get the gist. Well if Wales are playing really well and scotch a team, I have seen personally Richard not charging for a drink, this ends at final whistle. I have never paid less than half the price of a drink as I don't think its fair on this amazing Landlord. The food is very reasonably priced, very tasty, and large helpings as well. All staff are very friendly they must take it from the Landlord/Lady. there is a large beer garden which is very pleasant to sit in during summer. What more can I say about this Landlord/Lady? they are truly an amazing couple, and the best at the business in Britain.

We arrived soaking wet at 2.20pm after cycling from St Davids. Not only a lovely welcome from the staff but also from the local fellas who were enjoying a few pints to get away from the horrid weather. The ladies rushed our lunch order through as the kitchen closed at 2.30 and over and above they switched on the heating to dry our coats and gloves. To top it off the toasties and chips for lunch were delicious. Thank you so much we will be back

Had a lunch during the week and the staff, food and old locals were fine. Other locals who looked and sounded as though they had been on the oil since breakfast...very loud and foul language ...made this an unpleasant experience we will not bother to repeat.

Friends and I popped in here for drinks after a shopping trip not sure what to expect but we’re very pleasantly surprised. We ended up staying for 2 drinks, lunch and bought takeaway food to take home for later that day. The prices were very good, the quality of food and beer was 1st class. This may now become a regular pit stop!

Cheap and cheerful, perfectly edible, nothing fancy. Clearly popular with locals, many of whom were smoking up a storm around the covered entrance, where the covered smokers area is. Tiny pub, felt mobbed with about 12 people in it. Was clean and the staff were fine, not overly welcoming, but couldn’t complain really. Not a wonderful experience by any stretch of the imagination, but cheap and you get what you pay for.

We call at the First & Last on the way to catch the ferry and if you are in a hurry they will fast track your order. They have a great selection of pub food with some really tasty locally sourced pies. Everything was hot and with generous helpings. Although it is a pub for the locals, everybody is friendly towards visitors - great atmosphere and good beer.

We, a small number of males totaling just fifteen, called in here to have a meal at lunchtime. We had seen the menu beforehand and found it quite extensive. Our group leader selected about five meals that everybody would like and we chose from those. The food was hot and delicious and for me it was a problem to leave a clear plate. There were a couple of the members that were late receiving their food but I understand from them that it was good, but there was too much on their plates. Would definitely go again.

We only went in for drinks and as it was Friday they weren't serving meals but you could still get pies if you wanted food. They have a special game where you throw dice and if you get double 6 your drinks are half price and other scores give you money off your round.

We called in for a quick drink and were really impressed by a proper pub with great beer. The locals were friendly and shared their love of retro music with us. There was a fin choice of cask ale and cider and at certain times of the week you can roll the dice to have a chance of money off your bill, which made the competitive prices even more reasonable. The food looked good value, and you could do much worse if you want a friendly, no frills evening.

We arrived into Pembroke dock on a cold wet Monday Evening ready for the ferry back to Ireland the following day. We just completed a two and a half week trip around the UK in our CamperVan and we were tired and a bit depressed at the end of the holiday. We were looking for somewhere to pull up the van for the night that was also close to a pub because we were in no mood for cooking. We tried all the campsites that we could find but none were close to anywhere with a pub, we then considered staying in a public carpark but all had signage forbidding over night camping. At the end of our tether we happened upon the first and last in. The Staff were so lovely and welcoming and enthused to hear of our travels. We explained that we were having difficulty finding somewhere to park locally and the young man behind the bar called the owners and arranged for us to stay in their car park. The pub had a fantastic atmosphere and had a brilliant selection of ales and other drinks. We were given a menu for food and the pies were recommended and they surely did not disappoint. Award winning pies for only £2 each, £4.95 if you add chips and peas and i think we even got a free pint in there somewhere as well. This was a fantastic end to our holiday and if passing through this is a lovely place to spend an evening with some true Welsh lovelies. Highly Recommend

This is a traditional pub, rather than a restaurant. The welcome is friendly and there is a good range of made-to-order snacks and sandwiches - ideal at lunch time. There are also some more robust offerings, which were clearly being enjoyed at other tables. Prices are sensible. The washrooms could do with refurbishment, but otherwise the place meets the need of the passing traveller.

This is a really good local Pub. It has everthing that a Pub should have: tasty snacks served all day (Pies, Sousage Rolls, Sandwiches, etc), nice food (the "late breakfast" is huge and really tasty), good selection of beers, nice atmosphere and low prices. This pub has all of these, so it's very good.

Whilst on holiday in Pembrokeshire my wife and I were starting to feel rather hungry and was attracted to this public house by its offer of all day food and a beer garden. The menu was not very clear as to what could be ordered. When I went to the bar to mplace my order I found that a large number of items were not available. It took at least 45 minutes for the 'cook/chef' to prepare a simple order of 2 cheeseburgers and fries. When it arrived the burger was reasonably good but the fries were amongst the worse I have had the misfortune to be served. They were obviously frozen chips which had then been cookedto at least 5 to 10 minutes beyind the optimal time and as such were hardly edible. There was a beer garden, however, it was adjacent to an extremely busy main road on one side and an extremely dusty car park on the other. As i stated in the title this was the first and lst time that I willl frequent the First and Last Public HGouse.
