The Swan Inn in Pembrokeshire

I have just rang to book a table and we were told there was a table. We are a family of 3. We were first told we could sit on a table but we would have to share with another family of 3 ( make a bubble with strangers ).Which I am not comfortable with during this pandemic. When I questioned it I was then declined a booking because if we sit on a table of 6 the pub is loosing 3 seats. This is a terrible way to be treated. Very disappointed.

the swan inn provides a good astmosphere and staff are very welcoming, lovely food had a excellent sunday roast, would 100% come back again would definetley come for a mid week meal with the family.

We booked for Christmas lunch for six of us. Couldn't fault it at all, well cooked lots of choice, the veg choice was outstanding Trifle and banoffi were lovely Will be back

Had a really brilliant day the bar maid was so welcoming I think her name was Jemma need more ppl like her about will be going there agin 😆

Dropped in with friends for some beers, really friendly and very cheap drinks, made to feel extremely welcome, highly recommended.

Herberge bis zur Abfahrt der Fähre, das ist ja so ein Thema im schönen Pembroke. Vor allem bei Nacht. Und Nebel, das sei hier nicht vergessen. Also sucht der Mann, wo er die Zeit verbringen könnte, um der Darkness zu entkommen. Er findet, und zwar findet er nach dem Hinauskomplimentieren aus einem Pub, das halt schon um 21.00 Uhr schließen will, endlich Einlass im The Swan. Mit Kamin, welch ein Glück, eingeheizt auch noch. Dazu gibt es kühles Bier, Chips und schlussendlich noch einen Whiskey, sehr fein eingeschenkt von einem jungen netten Burschen, der das Pub an diesem Abend bis zur Sperrstunde betreute. Alles in Allem: Gut aufgehoben, nett, urig, warm am Kamin. Whiskey, was will Mann mehr auf so einer Reise ins nahe Irland. Wo noch mehr Pubs warten...

Booked a table for 7:30 rang them to let them know that my party was travelling from Scotland. They accommodated us even although we were late. Fantastic food well presented. Staff were great and prices were cheap but not a small serving. Top class food and service. Would recommend and will return.

Had a lovely 3 course Sunday lunch,great prices fantastic food,plenty of it, the staff couldn't do enough for us excellent service.

Called in for a breakfast and was not disappointed!! Excellent food and the price was very good too!! Will defo visit again!!

Ok given up trying to find good strong coffee. Settled for tea which was included in price of breafast. The large was too big. Left my sausages on the plate. Great bacon. Beans were best flavour so far. Fried potatoes were crisp. Lots of toast. Service was great. Price was good. Full of regulars which says something. Lots of lunch specials etc.

Excellent food.. Amazing atmosphere.. Cheap prices.. Highly recommended.. Definitely making another appearance

Lovely English breakfast ice choice with the fried potatoes being an added bonus polite friendly staff reccomend going there

can't fault food it was spot on very tasty, bar staff however , wouldn't give them 10.bob, whoever tracy is needs mouth washing out with soap discusting words whilst eating your dinner and to talk about being a flirt well i never . went out to smoke came back didn't even wash her hands

Went with work colleagues, great jukebox and cheap beer, friendly service and really enjoyed the place, would definitely recommend.

Excellent food as I've always had recommend a visit for breakfast people ask me best place for breakfast and always say swan

If you want a Great Breakfast in a Lovely Surroundings and a Great Atmosphere you must try the Swann Inn, It is Brilliant

We have never eaten here but the atmosphere in the bar and the friendly bar staff make this a great place for a night out.

Éste tiene un peculiar encanto y es un lugar estupendo para sentarse por la chimenea y disfrutar de las vistas. La comida es estupenda, y aunque un poco más caro que los otros en este pueblo, es de primera categoría y calidad productos locales, producidos.

buena comida de pub Gales, buen tamaño de porción y el servicio es amable. Un edificio muy bonito desde fuera así. Este lugar nos fue perfectamente, ya que estaba a sólo 5 minutos de la carretera de nuestro B&B; - Rosedene, que recomiendo encarecidamente.

I went to the Swan for a meal with my better half and her sister, I will admit I had some misgivings as I have been there for drinks several times and although a friendly little place it did not stike me as a place for good food, how wrong I was, I had a steak cooked to perfection, Fiona a chicken meal she descibed as "superb" and her sister, a veggie, had a pasta dish that she thouroughly enjoyed. Any place that can keep a comitted carnivore such as myself and a die-hard veggie happy at the same time has got to be good. For dessert the ladies had a Cappechino trifle which looked lovely, but they enjoyed it so much I was not allowed to try any. Still I comforted myself with another splendid pint of real ale. All together a splendid evening, well done the Swan.

My previous post on this site Restaurant 1887, Mendoza) was very negative. So after eating at the Swan I thought it is fair to write about how an ordinary local pub can lift one's spirits and provide a night to remember. Having completed the Pembrokeshire Coast Path we went, on a recommendation, to this small, out of the way pub / restaurant at 23 Queen Street. The outside would not entice, but the welcome was warm, friendly and the food was a surprise. Really this is a little gem in a town that almost everyone passes through. The restaurant is not haute cuisine but it does not try to be. For the price, service and local pub ambience the value was excellent. I would recommend it to those who would be staying at the travelodge to catch a ferry and need a wholesome place to eat. Having stayed in Pembroke Dock the previous year we were well acquainted with the local restaurants but the Swan was a real surprise, having changed hands in October 2011.I would be back in a flash if I was near the Dock and I hope this attracts others to give it a try.Gerard Monks
