Unassumed perfection. First visit for sunday lunch was a treat with reasonably priced drinks and superb food. Second visit for Friday steak night was absolutely great, had Tomahawk steak cooked to perfection. Booking essential as very popular. Looking forward to my next visit. for grat food and service

The best Sunday dinner for long time

Lovely local pub. Extremely friendly landlord and regulars. Clean, comfortable surroundings and realistic prices for drink and food. Sunday lunches well presented, good selection and excellent value. Wish I lived across the road rather than 140 miles away.

Great food, parties can book days when they are not normally serving food. Fantastic roast dinners at a reasonable price. Advisable to book as can be very popular and it is a quite small pub.

Nice friendly atmosphere, good food ,good prices. Lovely and cozy due to the log burner.

Not a bad pub need to have a look at the heating but overall ok.

Food is superb, well presented, cooked and delivered. Excellent service, couldn't rate the meal higher.

Food and drink were amazing and didn't have to wait to be served. The Bar and Bistro is a meeting for family and friends to have a good chat.

Went for a walk today at Neyland with our walking group. We decided to eat at the Forresters and pre booked for a party of thirteen. We chose the roast dinner,either roast pork or chicken. The service was great and the food perfect. The main course was £5.00 and we added a desert for an extra £1.25 What a bargain!!!!!

Best food in neyland great service and friendly atmosphere

I tried to go with my girlfriend twice and they haven’t done pod as advertised. When I went with a large family group it was a pleasant meal. Not great but we had the room to ourselves which was nice. All in all I consider the place unreliable and my girlfriend I will be going down the marina which we highly recommend!

Friendly atmosphere and the staff couldn't do enough to help . Fabulous value for money and the food was great .

Very good service & very polite

Fifteen ladies having lunch this is my second visit here. Great welcome, nothing too much trouble, friendly and helpful staff. I had my favourite dessert rice pudding, food was hot but not too hot that I couldn't delve into it the moment it hit the tablecloth. Booked to go again. Thanks to the staff we really enjoyed it.

Good value and if the owner is cooking the day you eat then the food can be quite exceptional for the budget. The owner has been known the take requests for the menu if you book ahead. The meat is locally bought from a traditional butcher across the road which is highly recommended. If you catch a day when the owner is not cooking then you might not have such a great meal. But still good value!

Had a group of friends get together had a fantastic meal and service was excellent and the food was excellent

Booked here for lunch today after hearing good reports from friends. Freshly refurbished, great welcome. We didn't know what to expect as prices were two meals for £5.00.............including steaks!!!! But the meals were excellent,steaks were perfect cooked with a choice of chips,baked potato or wedges. All of us enjoyed our meals. On a Wednesday& Friday they do pensioners meals with main,dessert and coffee or tea for £5.00. We would certainly recommend The Foresters.

Great local pub..recently renovated..new management. Good atmosphere..great pub food. I recommend visit.

Often a place visited on a work lunch time, the staff all make you feel welcome, the sort of place that treats you like one of the family. Good laugh, good food, great prices

The only pub in Neyland land my fiance had never been in. they had no tonic for her hint no draught bitter. the pub was grotty. And the toilets do no bear mentioning. a result as far as I am concerned as. she never wants to go in there again.
