Been staying at St David’s for a week as new visitors to the area and had chosen The Bishop as our preferred venue to eat and drin. The food has always been amazing and staff were so friendly, happy and helpful. Looking forward to our next visit from Derbyshire soon we hope. Thank you for a wonderful and relaxing visit 🥰🥂🍾

Not cheap....taking us for a ride, so disappointed. Had to pay upfront otherwise would have contested bill, thankfully had not chosen to pay an upfront tip !! Everything was great! To be more specific, the food was very tasty and filling. The burger was especially good — juicy and full of flavor. The second dish we tried was also excellent. Portions were generous, which was a nice bonus. Overall, the place has a really pleasant and cozy atmosphere. I enjoyed it a lot and would happily come back.

Has a tasty sandwich at lunchtime and traditional Cawl in the evening. The food , pricing and atmosphere was great on each occasion. What was very good , best I have had in a busy restaurant , was the service. Lunchtime was very busy with indoors full and the beer garden 75% full. My wife went to the bar to order food. While she was gone a very polite young man came along and offered me instructions as to how I should order. I told him it was already being done but , before my wife had returned ( just a few minutes ) he had returned with the condiments and cutlery. Due to the number of people there we were expecting a wait of up to 30 minutes , which we didn't mind as we were sat in a sun trap. To our surprise the young man was back within 10 minutes with our sandwiches. Amazing , quick service. I enquired about reserving a table for the evening ( assuming it would be relatively quiet due to the time of year ) to which he replied that though it might not be full it would be advisable to book. The perfect answer by an employee, delivered with a smile - though I guess he knew a walk in would be Ok. That's what we did and the restaurant was half full but we didn't mind as we had the seat of our choice and a perfectly good meal. All in all a great place to eat with good food and exceptional service. Compliments to the young man.

I should have read the March reviews before visiting this place! Having to order food at the bar AND be invited to add a tip before dining is surely a thing of the past? For the price paid you don't expect frozen chips, gloopy mash, probably also frozen, Bisto gravy, and non descript veg. My wife's scampi was ok, my pork belly was actually very good. But with a bill for £48 including a beer (too cold, too fizzy for real ale) and a cider, you expect better service and everything freshly made. We felt let down. Having just arrived in St David's after a long journey we were looking forward to a good meal. A disappointing experience.

Food was very poor I had the veggie chilli which was tasteless, wife had fish and chips which was mostly batter, also to note the chips are not homemade they are frozen. For dessert we had bread and butter pudding, I was expecting a lovely homemade dessert however it was very small and clearly came from the freezer. As for prices it’s very overpriced and clearly to trap tourists put it this way dessert was £7.80. Don’t expect good service it’s flooded with inexperienced part time college staff.

We visited The Bishops whilst travelling through St. David’s. The pub is very well situated within the town if you are visiting the Cathedral or even passing through. If you’re lucky enough, like us, there are a number of free spaces on the hill, to the side of the Cathedral. There was three of us visiting, we ordered some food from the light bites / sandwiches selection - Ham & Cheese, Coronation Chicken, Tuna Mayo, two soft drinks and a pint of Madri. Now the total bill did come in at £38.50 which in my opinion isn’t cheap, but each sandwich was fresh, tasty and served with a tasty side salad and crisps. The sandwiches really were tasty and very filling, we would definitely recommend if you’re visiting the area and fancy a quick bite to eat with a decent pint!

Good beer garden and quite nice place to sit outside when the weather is nice. Service was pretty awful, with bar staff not knowing what some drinks were or how to serve them, despite being on their drinks menu. Asked if they do cocktails to be told "no, but if you have any suggestions or want to tell us how to make it, feel free" 🤦🏻‍♂️ Had their vegan Thai Penang curry for food and it was the most tasteless and bland curry I've ever tasted, and all for a crazy high price too. Charged £17 for some rice, a few chips, and about 4 slices of pepper, 3 green beans, and 2 mange tout in a bland tasteless sauce devoid of any spice or aromatics, nevermind tasting anything like a Thai Penang curry! I hope they take this as constructive feedback to improve their food rather than use it as an excuse to stop serving vegan options! Would only recommend if sunny to sit in the beer garden with some Rekordelig, and would definitely avoid the food based on our experience!

The prettiest looking of Bistros which is what drew us in and it only got better from there. We ordered 2 veggie breakfast and they were HUGE and really high quality. Very friendly staff and lovely environment to sit qnd enjoy. Thank you
