Pembroke Tandoori in Pembrokeshire

I ordered a king prawn butterfly , which is my favourite starter of all time,when I received my food,I thought they had put something in free , then realised it was my king prawn butterfly, it was four little prawns that you'd by from a supermarket at Christmas, I'm mortified tasted of garlic nothing whatsoever like a king prawn butterfly, dont order it if its your favourite, as it was just awful devastated was so looking forward to my starter 🥲

this is a little gem of a restaurant. Small, homely and no frills but the food is superb! Some of the best Indian food I have eaten, fresh authentic and wonderful flavours.

Travelling around, came across this Indian takeaway thought I would give it a try. I was amazed. The chef was excellent, and the food was cooked to perfection. A real hidden gem! Will be coming back soon.

Well - what we had was nice. However when we got the take-out home the Tandoori mixed grill was no-where to be seen in the bag. The lamb biriyani was in the bag and the two naan and the usual salad. But not a hide nor hair of the mixed grill, so either someone else has got it in their take-out bag or it was never made. If you had a surprise mixed grill, enjoy it with our compliments ( well not my wife’s, she’s pretty annoyed at sharing my biriyani). We didn’t fancy driving 20 mins back to chase the missing bits. So moral of the story CHECK what’s in your take-out bag.

Really nice food definitely worth the wait.

The food was very good, but very spicy for German tastes. If you like it: Go for it! Otherwise, resort to the milder versions. Great naan in all variations. What we didn't like: Open shop, set table, but you can't eat here: no table service today, only to-go. The next day the same game - probably a pure take-away shop - which is a shame when you only have a hotel room without a table and chairs.

Staff is welcoming and ready to answer questions. Food prep time is about 25 min, so best if you call in. Overall food is authentic and well made. I will return.

Picked up a Lambs delight curry and garlic naan here. To my surprise there was also a papadum included. Large and tasty portion. Good price/quality ratio.

Fantastic dinner. Had chicken tikka, butter chicken, and saag paneer. Naan was lovely and as a bonus, they had chicken nuggets for our youngest. Great meal.

We had a takeaway from here and it was lovely! Very similar to our local which is always delicious! Large portions, good flavour and fresh.

The food was very nice. Well spiced, nice heat without being too much. Lovely naan. Reading the negative comments here I really don't understand. Good honest food, yeah without the frills of a Michelin restaurant but extremely tasty and we left happy. Well done. Support your local businesses Pembroke 🙂🙂

Best takeaway in Pembrokeshire for sure! . In 8 years we have never had bad food, the wrong order or forgotten items. It is always on time and the food is delicious.

Takeaway ordered. Food was fantastic, especially the Peshwari Naans and the portions of food were substantial. The only negative was after 75 minutes of waiting for delivery, and a phone call to the restaurant, I had to collect he food myself due to shortage of drivers. Why mention "vegan options" on your website when you clearly don't have a clue what veganism means? When the waiter recommended "one of our tandoori dishes" as suitable for me, my partner and I exchanged a look of disbelief and should probably have left right then. However, we persevered.....foolishly. Very disappointed by the tasteless dish of dry spinach I was served as my main course, though, to be fair, the chapati was edible. Wake up Pembroke Tandoori! Either state clearly that you do not cater for vegans OR get your act together and offer some decent vegan food.

I recently picked up a taleaway. The curry was lovely and the naan bread was amazing. Overall a really good takeaway just a little expensive.

The salad was stale, the chicken curry was tasteless and watery no flavour. The dhansak,was terrible the chicken had a funny texture and was inedible, needless to say won't be going again. When phoned to complain they put the phone down !!

Biryani was great with vegetable gravy.

We travel about the country quite a bit, have many takeaway's,where the reviews are fantastic but in reality the food is mediocre at best . Finally we have found one that lived up to reviews. The food was spot on . Spicy but not burning your tongue off . The portions are big and plentiful and tasty . Well impressed

I've only ever had 1 takeaway from here and it was delicious. The food wasn't greasy and tasted 'clean'. It didnt take long for the order to be ready and is reasonably priced

Delicious dishes, prepared in a timely fashion, and the lady taking the order answered all our questions and encouraged us to try new things.

Had Chicken Bhuna, Lamb Tikka Masala, Bombay Aloo, Peshwari Nan and onion bhaji. The onion bhaji’s were great, everything else was bland, Bhuna was supposed to be medium heat - nope no heat at all. Won’t be going back

Wanted to have Indian food so called at 5ish for the takeaway. They said 1.5 hour waiting which was fine. Since my friend my pregnant we asked them if cannot do msg in fried rice. My surprise was they put msg in all food even in Indian food too like curries and rice item which should be not the case. Does not seem healthy to put MSG in all the food if its not required

Ordered a large £50 order to a campsite in freshwater east. Restaurant was aware we had poor signal and were really great at communicating the delivery. All of the food gets an A+, but particularly the daal and the lamb balti! Would definitely order again!

Had 2 takeaways in the last week both fabulous rich sauce not oily or greasy brilliant the second time I ordered 3 meals plus extras all were scrumptious

after years of of custom to this establishment never in my 35 years of working and running restaurant and hotels have I ever had such rude and abusive treatment ordered our usual takeaway weekly or bi weekly from here at 6pm for 7.45pm enjoying a week deserved beverage with my wife between the times the driver turns up at 7pm banking on the door I have a phone call from my neighbour to warn me 2 minutes later I arrive and greeted with the most rude driver ever saying if I don't have it now it will be f..cking cold by 7.45 I did say I have phoned the restaurant and they would sort it out oh no !!! hurled of abuse words were extanged then phone the restaurant to complain told don't order again disgusting serve many more in the area avoid at all cost

Ordered one dish to takeaway and they got it wrong! Ordered chilli masala and got ordinary masala..was not pleased.Couldnt be bothered with the 12 mile round trip to take it back.I like my curries hot and this was the total opposite. The fella who served me was pleasant enough but please listen to your customer's. They did throw me some free poppadoms but I just couldn't enjoy the meal like I would normally

We had a great meal here. The food was delicious, one of the best Indian meals we have had ! The Staff were friendly and helpful and the service was excellent.

Outstanding meal, we visited as a family of 5 ( two vegetarians and a very traditional elderly Indian mum in our party). We were asked what type of food we like and spice levels and the owner set out of create some dishes for us. Every dish was absolutely unique to anything we have had before and amazing. The service was second to none, the food was beyond outstanding and generous portion sizes. We came home with doggy bags of what we couldn’t manage to eat. If you are in the area, this is definitely not one to miss out on. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Over priced and the food was nasty.

We phoned through a big order for 17 people, without giving them any notice. It was delivered to our campsite within 90 minutes and was delicious. Very impressed.

We've had the Pembroke Tali set meal for four on two recent occasions for home delivery. On both occasions the food was delivered on the exact minute that it was requested and by very warm and friendly staff. The food has been excellent quality. The spices were fairly mild but with lots of delicious flavour so family members of varied tastes were satisfied. Despite my massive appetite there was enough food for 6 to 7 sizeable meals so plenty of great food for the next day too. This delivery made a great contribution to a family celebration, so much so that we had the same meal a couple of weeks later without any excuse of it being a family occasion.

Ordered a takeaway curry 2days ago. Arrived exactly when we asked it to, hot d,elicious p,lenty of meat in the chicken jalfrezi and chicken passanda. 2nd time we've ordered from here and knocks spots off anywhere else in town! 👍

Visited Pembroke tandoori within the last week all I can say is what a lovely modest takeaway/ sit down resturant. The food was out of this world and the service was to match the quality of food would highly recommend a visit

Food was OK though I wouldn't write home about it. The waitress was attentive enough. Didn't enjoy listening to the argument coming from the kitchen however and felt a bit seen off paying £4 for a half pint of lager. The person I was dining with ordered a lemonade and it was served from a bottle and completely flat. Bit of a shame.

After a long drive down from Manchester and it getting late in the day we were pointed to the Pembroke Tandoori by the TA reviews. Great food and a great Host. Highly recommended.

Probably one of the best curries we have ever had! Everything was amazing, the staff very friendly and delivered in good time aswell. Just a shame we are visiting from England otherwise this would be our go to place! 5*

We found this restaurant on Google as we needed a takeaway. When i walked in i was a little put off by the decor, the food however was great, good amount of meat, wonderful flavours, reasonably priced and friendly staff.

Friendly, helpful, huge menu. Had an excellent evening meal. The restaurant is in Pembroke Main Street with its fine range of Georgian buildings and a pleasant walk round the castle to round off a fine evening

Only just finished my meal from here..and the food was great. The staff were friendly and the delivery driver was great...only small complaint is the amount of prawns in the king prawn masala. 3 prawns really is not acceptable. Other than that it was great

Absolutely awful ,King prawns chopped into several pieces to pretend there are more than three meaning they were rock hard and tasteless all served in an onion sauce laced with chilli powder.aten year old could make a more authentic curry. Save your money go some where else.

We were walk ins,and glad we were early as it filled up quickly over the following 20 mins. Very nice staff. The food was delicious and what we left they packed up and we took it away. The starter we had, we had never heard of or tried (obviously) it’s called Nagri, absolutely stunning. This place is a must.

Absolutely disgusting spiders and flys in the kitchen as well as may bugs food dropped on floor and served cold food no flavour wouldn’t recommend at all not a disgruntled employee used to work there in till I left wouldn’t serve cold food and food was on floor DO NOT GO THERE

Possibly the worst Indian takeaway I've ever had. Tough and tasteless lamb, bland sauce with zero spice and undercooked onion, sag bhaji had no spice at all. I'll go back to mehfils next time. When I rang to give them some feedback all they could come up with was "we're rated the best tandoori in Pembrokeshire"......... I think not.

We had a great dinner at the Pembroke Tandoori. The curries were fantastic and very friendly service. We would definitely recommend this restaurant for other visitors in Pembroke.

We were very warmly welcomed by a lovely waitress and as we are not very knowledgeable on the many varieties of curry we felt comfortable enough to let her guide us to order what might best suit our taste. We listened attentively as she patiently described details of the wide range of dishes available. We eventually decided on a lamb Balti, a chicken Madras, and a chicken Tikka, with rice and nan-breads. Everything was perfect! And very big portions! The food looked so plentiful that at first we thought we might have to take half of it home with us. But when we tucked in, it was so delicious we lapped it all up.! A nice lemony jug of iced-water was also provided which we were very happy with as we don't relish paying for bottled water. I feel that the food was very fresh and natural and well cooked and for the first time I had no heartburn that night, which I usually get after eating curry.

On a weekend holiday to Pembrokeshire we were so lucky to find this place. Absolutely top class food. Excellent friendly service. Eating here ensured we had a lovely weekend overall.

had to wait AFTER ORDERING AND PAYING for chef to be contacted to come and cook meal after 45 mins turned up cooked meal in 3 mins it was disgusting , dog wouldn't touch it either

After travelling all over the country on buisness this is one of the best Indian restaurants that I have tried. Freindly staff, very reasonable priced. I tried the chicken tikka mathi for a main course full of flavour and correct spice level that I had asked for. Starters and sides where of same quality.
