We had a takeaway from Seven Spice - Kilgetty (14/11/24) whilst staying locally in a holiday lodge… We were very impressed with the quality of the food, the curries were cooked fantastic and were very tasty. There was plenty of chicken within the curry and overall, they exceeded our expectations. We ordered the following items from the menu, which apparently included a 10% discount for collection. I couldn’t confirm this as the website hasn’t got any prices alongside their menu to compare. Chicken Tikka Masala £10.95 Chicken Korma £8.95 Keema Rice £4.25 Garlic Naan £3.50 Keema Naan £ 3.50 Chips £2.95 3x Poppadoms £2.10 Chutney Tray £1.95 We would 100% return for another takeaway when visiting the area again!

Ordered from here as it was recommended by the owner of the lodge we're staying in. We were charged £42 for a tandoori chicken starter, a single curry, a pilau rice, 1 chips, 2 naan breads and some poppadoms and dips (plus a scandalous £7 to deliver from 12 minutes away). We were told it would be delivered within an hour and 20 minutes, it arrived over 2 hours later and was cold. The food had no taste. The curry had no spice at all (restaurant named seven spice yet couldnt spare one to put in our curry) it was essentially a tomato sauce. The chips tasted awful and worst of all the chicken in both the starter and the curry was very clearly not fresh chicken. It's frozen chicken, as you can see from the photos. £42 for cold food, that isn't fresh, that tastes bland and is only coming from just over 10 minutes away is daylight robbery. Don't waste your money here like we did. Most of it went in the bin. Disgusting and disgraceful. Only gets 1 star because TripAdvisor doesn't allow minus ratings.

Second time we used them. First time not happy as charged delivery fee although just inside their distance limit. Last year. Today, ordered food over the phone, the prices on the menu came to around £50. They said £7 delivery charge but then the total was £67. Really bad phone line & I thought he said £57. Food is good but let themselves down with the other stuff. Will try somewhere different next time.

Usually go there with my husband as we are local but went last night without him and took my grandchildren aged 11 and 14 who were visiting me. Service was poor. Didn’t get what I ordered at the table, wanted Keema Rice but didn’t get it and had to ask again for it, they arrived with 3 Nan Breads when I only wanted one! It wasn’t busy in the restaurant indeed it was the opposite! When the mains arrived they hadn’t cleared the table of the pickles so we’re shoving the food about. The Pilau Rice looked like something out of a packet that you buy from the supermarket. The final straw was the bill with only 2 chocolates when there were three at the table. Did they assume I was a holidaymaker so just didn’t bother? Female? Not sure but we will never be eating there again we will go up the road to Tenby.

I recently dined at a restaurant and had a terrible experience with the service. The staff was extremely rude and unprofessional, which really put a damper on the entire meal. The food itself was just okay, nothing to write home about. I was disappointed with the quality and portion size, especially considering the high prices. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience. The poor service and mediocre food left a bad taste in my mouth.

4 of our family had a take away recently all having a different dish, there was not a lot of taste to any of them, not at all very spicy, I think they forgot to put any in, all very bland. We have been using Seven Spice Kilgetty for the last 5 years and have not had a bad meal until now. Very disappointed. Hope the next one will be better.

We booked this restaurant as my daughter wanted to try a sit in Indian meal. We pre-booked and on the evening of the meal we arrived and was made to feel very welcome We were sat at our table immediately and drinks orders were taken. Cobra lager was a favourite. Once the drinks arrived we were asked if we were ready to order, we were also offered poppadoms and chutney tray, which we accepted. My daughter ordered a starter of Chicken Pakoras and I have to say they were by far the nicest I've ever tasted. We also ordered Chicken Bhuna, Chicken Malaya, Tikka Masala, and Chicken Jalfrezi with sides of chips and rice and Keema Naans. The food was absolutely beautiful and this would be possibly my new favourite place to eat in Pembrokeshire. I would say that there was a lot of food and we probably could have done without the chips and possibly shared dishes rather than order individual ones. I think if I were to go again I would be more adventurous with my choosing as the pakoras were so delicious. The staff were fabulous and happy to chat away to us, service was really quick all food fresh and it was just beautiful.

Ordered the food over the phone as it was a takeaway. Went to collect and had to wait an extra 15 mins. We got the food home which was only about 8 minutes away, by the time we got home, not only was it barely warm but we had several items of food missing, when we phone up I was greeted with an attitude of " you should have checked your order" this is the second time this has happened, we gave them the benefit of the doubt this time but it will not happen again. We will NEVER eat there again.

We decided to order a takeaway from seven spices. It is close to where we are staying. We phoned to place an order they answered straight away. We placed an order the guy said it would be half an hour. We collected after half an hour straight away. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and chicken tikka bhuna alongside 1 boiled rice, 1 special egg fried rice, 3 poppadoms, 2 garlic and coriander naan breads, onion bhajis and a portion of chips. The food was still hot when we got back. It was an average Indian takeaway. We would recommend if you want a quick indian takeaway.

Went here on Wednesday 24th April for a takeaway. Staff were very helpful and friendly chatting while we waited for our order which did not take long. We ordered a lamb tikka madras with plain boiled rice and a chicken tikka Balti with 2 plain naans - it cost £28.60 which was a decent price. We were initially going to sit in and eat but there were things we needed to get back for so decided on a takeaway instead. Once back at our cottage we ate and I must say the portions were very generous, so much so that I left half of mine ( will eat it tomorrow for lunch ) and the taste was great with the exact amount of ‘ spicy hotness’ that I like. The only issue is the parking - there is none so we had to park on the roadside. Will certainly go back before our holiday is over.

Seven Spice sent us prawns tonight instead of paneer to a vegetarian of 25 years. We accepted a replacement dish of what was originally ordered, which was delivered after 30 minutes and we didn’t complain further despite how upsetting the mix up was for a a strict vegetarian. Once we finally sat down to eat we realised the naan bread we ordered and paid for was missing. We called again to report this to the owner who became very aggressive and used the ‘F’ word at my husband. We haven’t been refunded for the naan, this money has been stolen from us. We’ve ordered from seven spice for 15 years despite the high price point, spent NYE celebrations there, etc. This is very disappointing.

The food is good, but disappointed with the service. I ordered a takeaway onsite and was told it'd take 30 minutes. So I went and got some chips next door for my kids and timed it to come back by then. The guy who took my original order was in the kitchen when I came back and the woman at the counter couldn't trace my order. They basically misplaced my order but rather than admit this they told me it'd be just a couple of minutes. 20 minutes later (and my kids chips now cold) the original guy comes out with my order. I asked him if he forgot it (which I'd respect as things get overlooked now and then) but he couldn't admit they made a mistake, and blamed it on the queue. There' was one person that picked up their order while I was waiting. I'd rather they admit they're human and make mistakes now and then. The alternative is they give unrealistic order times and don't know what's happening in their kitchen, which is much worse. It's ok to get it wrong now and then, just admit to it.

When I asked what it was the fella replied “the kitchen fans” closed the door and I could hear the music and the wife again. We visited while on holiday in the area for my grsndaughters 16th Birthday. The food was mediocre at best. The service was very poor. We visited by taxi allowing about two hours for the return journey as taxis are difficult to book in the area on spec. The poppadoms arrived followed immediately by the starter. As we finished the starter, I asked for a break between the starter and main course. As I had finished the sentence our mains arrived. Poppadoms starters and mains within 30 minuits. When I pointed out to the owner we had allowed 2 hours for the visit, he said time for more drinks then. The overall impression was, get em in, get em out and don't worry about customer service. Three of our party of six didn't enjoy the meal but that was brushed aside. Not impressed.

£32 (with discount for collection) for what was probably the Worst Indian we’ve had. Korma was lovely but everything else was terrible. Bombay aloo was horrendously spicy, bhajis were 4 tiny dry burnt balls, chips overcooked & inedible, keema Nan with no keema? Cheese Nan with a table spoon of cheese? Really let down when paid so much

Food that arrived was good. Missing items and the large bottle of Coke that was delivered had already been opened. If we did order again we would collect so we can check the order before we leave.

Wonderful food and lovely service. We went with our family and friends last night and we didn't know what to expect. This restaurant served us the most delicious food. We didn't have to wait too long for our food and it came out lovely and fresh and tasty. Would go again.

I have had take aways delivered and collected, and eating in the restaurant. Every time it has been delicious. Friendly service and delicious hot food, definitely our favourite takeaway! Bombay potatoes are a must

I had one of the best takeaways of my life from here, delivered to a wet and windy campsite one night. It was heavenly, every dish was licked clean. 10 months later we live here, had another go and it was okay. Still one of the better Indian takeaway options though. 0 for atmosphere as I've never been in. Kinda looks grim driving past 😁

When we first glanced at the menu at Hot Chilli, things looked promising. The dishes sounded exciting, and our expectations for a flavourful Indian meal were set. But, as they say, looks can be deceiving, and sadly, this was truer than we could have imagined. We started with three popadoms and a selection of five chutneys. A decent opener, but sharing between me and The Bald (my husband’s affectionate moniker) was where the excitement ended. What followed was a culinary comedy of errors—except no one was laughing. I ordered the Special Makhani, a dish with a thick almond-based sauce that was less “special” and more “culinary sludge.” Both the chicken and lamb were dry, with the texture of reheated leftovers, and the prawns—well, let’s be honest—they were frozen shrimp masquerading as seafood. The sauce lacked depth or spice, and the dish was as bland as a beige carpet. The keema naan was similarly disappointing—mostly dough, with just a whisper of keema meat hiding somewhere in the folds. The Bald’s Chicken Balti was a spectacle in its own right. Upon its arrival, his verdict was swift and unforgiving: “It looks like dog sh*t.” Harsh? Perhaps. Accurate? Tragically, yes. The balti was a sad, gloopy brown mess with bits of what might have once been skewered chicken, now reduced to dry lumps. There were no vegetables to add interest, just thick, claggy sauce. His pilaf (pilau) rice turned out to be a packet of basmati tossed in a frying pan with oil—a culinary shortcut that fooled no one. By the halfway mark, we both surrendered. The food was unbearable, and we’d lost the will to persist. When the lady came by for a “check-back,” The Bald asked about the lack of peppers in his balti, only to be met with a shrug. Later, the chef emerged, proudly presenting a jar of Patak’s Balti spice mix as his culinary inspiration. A jar. Out of a jar. In what world is this acceptable for a £45 meal? To his credit, the chef knocked £5 off the bill, rounding it to £40, and offered complimentary coffees. But by this point, we wanted nothing more than to leave and never return. He also made vague promises about what he’d do “next time,” but let’s face it—Hell has a better chance of freezing over than us coming back. The restaurant itself was tired, with flaking paint and a general sense of neglect. We didn’t dare check the bathrooms—our trust in the establishment was already rock bottom. In conclusion, Hot Chilli is a lukewarm mess. For a meal that lacked authenticity, flavour, or even basic culinary effort, this was an insult to the proud tradition of Indian cuisine. If you’re considering spending your hard-earned money here, don’t. We’ve done the hard work for you. Final rating: One bald head out of five. Save your appetite—and your dignity.
